The synthesis of the title compound is described. Pinacol reduction of 2,2′-dibenzoylbiphenyl followed by dehydration of the trans-diol, so formed, with dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal yielded 55% of the oxirane. Irradiation of the oxide in methylene chloride at 254 nm gave 10,10-diphenyl-9-(10H)phenanthrone as the major photoproduct.  相似文献

Isolation of 10′-Apo-β-carotene-10′-ol and (3R)-10′-Apo-β-carotene-3,10′-diol (Galloxanthin) from Rose Flowers The novel (all-E)-10′-apol-β-carotene-10′-ol ( 2 ) and (all-E,3R)-10′-apo-β-carotene-3,10′-diol ( 5 ) have been isolated from petals of one yellow species and various whitish or yellow blend varieties of rose cultivars. Each (all-E)-compound is accompanied by a (Z)-isomer, probably the (9Z)-isomer. Diol 5 proved to be identical with galloxanthin, an apo-10′-carotenol previously isolated from the retina of chicken.  相似文献

Two methods for the resolution of 10,10′-dihydroxy-9,9′-biphenanthryl were developed. The first involved salt formation with (−)-strychnine via its cyclic diester with phosphoric acid. The second method involved the formation of diastereomers (R)- and (S)-9,9′-biphenanthryl-10,10′-diyl N-((−)-α-methylbenzyl)phosphoroamidates.  相似文献

Stereoisomeric Sinensiaxanthins and Sinensiachromes: Separation and Absolute Configuration The so-called sinensiaxanthins and sinensiachromes, important apocarotenols from various fruits, have been separated into 2 and 4 stereoisomers, respectively, and their absolute configurations have been determined: (3S,5R,6S)-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-10′-apo-β-carotene-3,10′-diol ( 2 ), its (9Z)-stereoisomer 7, the (8R)- and (8S)-epimers of (3S, 5R)-5,8-epoxy-5,8-dihydro- 10′ -apo-β-carotene-3, 10′-diol ( 4 and 5 ), and their (9Z)-stereoisomers 3 and probably 6. Thus, sinensiaxanthins are cleavage products from (Z/E)-isomeric antheraxanthins or violaxanthins (scission at C(9′)–C(10′)) and sinensiachromes analogously from mutatoxanthins or auroxanthins.  相似文献

A strategy based on bidirectional Dötz benzannulation and the oxa‐Pictet–Spengler reaction toward the synthesis of actinorhodin and γ‐actinorhodin has been explored. This work has resulted in the synthesis of deoxyactinorhodin and deoxy‐γ‐actinorhodin. The latter is a regioisomer of crisamicin A (which has 10,10′‐dihydroxy groups).  相似文献

Nanometer‐wide graphene nanoribbons can be synthesized from halogen aromatics through multistep on‐surface reactions, but the catalytic role of extrinsic transition‐metal atoms in these reactions are still to be explored. Here by low‐temperature scanning tunneling microscopy, we investigated the on‐surface synthesis of graphene nanoribbons from 10,10′‐dibromo‐9,9′‐bianthryl precursors in the presence of Ni atoms. Ni atoms not only act as catalysts in debromination and lead to the formation of an organometallic intermediate at 300 K, but also prompt the fusion reaction between graphene nanoribbons at 673 K. Our work demonstrates a more efficient way to fabricate fused graphene nanoribbons.  相似文献

( all-E)-12′-Apozeanthinol, Persicaxanthine, and Persicachromes Reexamination of the so-called ‘persicaxanthins’ and ‘persicachromes’, the fluorescent and polar C25-apocarotenols from the flesh of cling peaches, led to the identification of the following components: (3R)-12′-apo-β-carotene-3,12′-diol ( 3 ), (3S,5R,8R, all-E)- and (3S,5R,8S,all-E)-5,8-epoxy-5,8-dihydro-12′-apo-β-carotene-3,12′-diols (4 and 5, resp.), (3S,5R,6S,all-E)-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-l2′-apo-β-carotene-3,12′-diol =persicaxanthin; ( 6 ), (3S,5R,6S,9Z,13′Z)-5,6-dihydro-12′apo-β-carotene-3,12′-diol ( 7 ; probable structure), (3S,5R,6S,15Z)-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-12′-apo-β-carotene-3,12′-diol ( 8 ), and (3S,5R,6S,13Z)-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-12′-apo-β-carotene-3,12′-diol ( 9 ). The (Z)-isomers 7 – 9 are very labile and, after HPLC separation, isomerized predominantly to the (all-E)-isomer 6 .  相似文献

The 13C NMR spectra of eight 2,5-diaryl-1,4-dithiins were recorded and signals were assigned. A linear correlation was observed between the electronegativity of the substituent groups on C-10,10′ and the chemical shifts of C-10,10′ after applying corrections for the magnetic anisotropic effect of the substituents. A Hammett correlation was found between the 13C chemical shifts of C-3,6 and C-7,7′ and the σp+ parameter associated with the substituents on C-10,10′. Extended electronic interaction between the π system of the aryl group and the π system of the dithiin ring was suggested by the observance of an alternating behavior in the magnitude of the substituent effects on the 13C shifts of C-2,5 and C-3,6. An alternating effect was also noted in the magnitude of the long-range 13C? F coupling constants for these same carbon signals in 2,5-(10,10′-difluoro)diphenyl-1,4-dithiin.  相似文献

The conformation of [bis‐(N,N′‐difluoroboryl)]‐3,3′‐diethyl‐4,4′,8,8′,9,9′,10,10′‐octamethyl‐2,2′‐bidipyrrin (1) in solution was studied by analyzing the 13C? 19F and 19F? 19F through‐space spin–spin couplings. The 1H and 13C NMR spectra were assigned on the basis of nuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy (NOESY), heteronuclear single‐quantum correlation (HSQC), and heteronuclear multiple‐bond correlation (HMBC) experiments. The 19F spectrum of 1 was compared with that of 2‐ethyl‐1,3,5,6,7‐pentamethyl‐4,4‐difluoro‐4‐bor‐3a,4a‐diaza‐s‐indacen (2). The 19F? 19F through‐space spin? spin coupling in 1 was thus assigned and the coupling constant was obtained by simulating the coupling patterns. The obtained conformation of 1 was compared with those of the known complexes [bis‐(N,N′‐difluoroboryl)]‐3,3′,8,8′,9,9′‐hexaethyl‐4,4′,10,10′‐tetramethyl‐6,6′‐(4‐methylphenyl)‐2,2′‐bidipyrrin (3)and [bis‐(N,N′‐difluoroboryl)]‐9,9′‐diethyl‐4,4′,8,8′,10,10′‐hexamethyl‐3,3′‐bis(methoxycarbonylethyl)‐2,2′‐bidipyrrin (4). The conformational dynamics of 1, 3, and 4 was surveyed by observing the temperature dependence of the through‐space coupling constants between 253 and 333 K. The 13C? 19F and 19F? 19F through‐space spin–spin couplings thus confirm similar conformations of different BisBODIPYs in solution in contrast to earlier findings in the solid state. Aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) has been harnessed in many systems through the principle of restriction of intramolecular rotations (RIR) based on mechanistic understanding from archetypal AIE molecules such as tetraphenylethene (TPE). However, as the family of AIE‐active molecules grows, the RIR model cannot fully explain some AIE phenomena. Here, we report a broadening of the AIE mechanism through analysis of 10,10′,11,11′‐tetrahydro‐5,5′‐bidibenzo[a,d][7]annulenylidene (THBDBA), and 5,5′‐bidibenzo[a,d][7]annulenylidene (BDBA). Analyses of the computational QM/MM model reveal that the novel mechanism behind the AIE of THBDBA and BDBA is the restriction of intramolecular vibration (RIV). A more generalized mechanistic understanding of AIE results by combining RIR and RIV into the principle of restriction of intramolecular motions (RIM).  相似文献

Chroma to graphic Separation and Identification of Diastereomeric Carotinoids with Distant Chiral Centers The high-performance liquid chromatographic separation of diastereomeric C40-carotinoids is described possessing chiral centers which are separated by 18 C-atoms (nonaene system). The method is applied to the separation of the two diastereomers of 6,6′-dihydrorhodoxanthin 1a and 1b (ε,ε-carotene-3,3′-dione) and the six diastereomers of tunaxanlhin (ε,ε-carotene-3,3′-diol; 2a–2f ). Conditions for the separation of lutein [(3R, 3′R, 6′R)-β,ε-carotene-3.3′-diol, 3a ], 3′-epi-lutein [(3R,3′S,6′R)-β, ε-carotene-3,3′-diol, 3b ] and its 13′-cis- ( 3c ) and 13-cis-stereo-isomers( 3d ) are also reported. Identification of the different chromatographic fractions was possible by use of authentic synthetic samples or by 1H-NMR. spectroscopy.  相似文献

Epoxidation of Cucurbitaxanthin A: Preparation of Cucurbitaxanthin B and of Its 5′,6′-Epimer Cucurbitaxanthin A (= (3S,5R,6R,3′S)-3,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-β,β-carotene-5,3′-diol; 1 ) isolated from red pepper (Capsicum annuum var. longum nigrum) was trimethylsiylated and then epoxidized with monoperphthalic acid. After deprotection and chromatographic separation, cucurbitaxanthin B (= (3S,5R,6R, 3′S,5′R,6′S)-3,6:5′,6′-diepoxy-5,6,5′,6′-tetrahydro-β,β-carotene-5,3′-diol; 2 ) and 5′,6′-diepicucurbitaxanthin B (= (3S,5R,6R, 3′S,5′S,6′R)-3,6:5′,6′-diepoxy-5,6,5′,6′-tetrahydro-β,β-carotene-5,3′-diol; 5 ) were obtained and carefully characterized. They show mirror-like CD spectra and, therefore, emphasize the importance of the torsion angle of C(6)–C(7) on the electronic interaction between the polyene chain and the chiral end group.  相似文献

On the Carotenoids Flavoxanthin and Chrysanthemaxanthin: 1H-NMR., 13C-NMR. and Mass Spectra, Absolute Configuration, Survey of Published Data Very pure flavoxanthin ( 1 ) and chrysanthemaxanthin ( 2 ) have been reisolated from flower heads of Taraxacum officinale. Both compounds were characterized by chromatographic, chemical and chiroptical data and extensive NMR. measurements. Examination of many published data on 1 and 2 led to the conclusion that flavoxanthin has often been mistaken for chrysanthemaxanthin and vice versa. Chemical degradation of 1 and 2 to (?)-loliolide ( 5 ) coupled with NMR. evidence (ASIS, spin-decoupling, NOE) allowed the assignment of the absolute configurations of 1 and 2 . Thus (+)-flavoxanthin is (3S,5R,8R, 3′R,6′R)-5, 8-epoxy-5, 8-dihydro-β, ε-carotene-3, 3′-diol and (+)-chrysanthemaxanthin its C(8)-epimer.  相似文献

Absolute Configuration of Antheraxanthin, ‘cis-Aritheraxanthin’ and of the Stereoisomeric Mutatdxanthins The assignement of structure 2 to antheraxanthin (all-E)-(3 S, 5 R, 6 S, 3′ R)-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-β,β-carotene-3,3′-diol and of 1 to ‘cis-antheraxanthin’ (9Z)-(3 S, 5 R, 6 S, 3′ R)-5,6-epoxy-5,6-dihydro-β,β-carotene-3,3′-diol is based on chemical correlation with (3 R, 3′ R)-zeaxanthin and extensive 1H-NMR. measurements at 400 MHz. ‘Semisynthetic antheraxanthin’ ( = ‘antheraxanthin B’) has structure 6 . For the first time the so-called ‘mutatoxanthin’, a known rearrangement product of either 1 or 2 , has been separated into pure and crystalline C(8)-epimers (epimer A of m.p. 213° and epimer B of m.p. 159°). Their structures were assigned by spectroscopical and chiroptical correlations with flavoxanthin and chrysanthemaxanthin. Epimer A is (3 S, 5 R, 8 S, 3′ R)-5,8-epoxy-5,8-dihydro-β,β-carotene-3,3′-diol ( 4 ; = (8 S)mutatoxanthin) and epimer B is (3 S, 5 R, 8 R, 3′ R)-5,8-epoxy-5,8-dihydro-β,β-carotene-3,3′-diol ( 3 ; = (8 R)-mutatoxanthin). The carotenoids 1 – 4 have a widespread occurrence in plants. We also describe their separation by HPLC. techniques. CD. spectra measured at room temperature and at ? 180° are presented for 1 – 4 and 6 . Antheraxanthin ( 2 ) and (9Z)-antheraxanthin ( 1 ) exhibit a typical conservative CD. The CD. Spectra also allow an easy differentiation of 6 from its epimer 2 . The isomeric (9Z)-antheraxanthin ( 1 ) shows the expected inversion of the CD. curve in the UV. range. The CD. spectra of the epimeric mutatoxanthins 3 and 4 (β end group) are dissimilar to those of flavoxanthin/chrysanthemaxanthin (ε end group). They allow an easy differentiation of the C (8)-epimers.  相似文献

Novel methyl-substituted aromatic poly (ether sulfone)s and poly (ether ketone)s were synthesized from combinations of 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbipheny-4,4′-diol and 2,2′,3,3′,5,5′-hexamethylbiphenyl-4,4′-diol, and 4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone and 4,4′-difluorobenzo-phenone by nucleophilic aromatic substitution polycondensation. The polycondensations proceeded quantitatively in a N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone-toluene solvent system in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate to afford the polymers with inherent viscosities between 0.86 and 1.55 dL/g. The methyl-substituted poly (ether sulfone)s and poly (ether ketone)s showed good solubility in common organic solvents such as chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, pyridine, m-cresol, and N,N-dimethylacetamide. The tetramethyl- and hexamethyl-substituted aromatic polyethers had higher glass transition temperatures than the corresponding unsubstituted polymers, and did not decompose below 350°C in both air and nitrogen atmospheres. The films of the methyl-substituted poly (ether ketone)s became insoluble in chloroform by the irradiation of ultraviolet light, indicating the occurrence of photochemical crosslinking reactions. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
