In 1972, Fuller proved that a complete additive subeategory _RC of R-Mod isequivalent to amodule category ⊿-Mod if and only if _RC=Gen(_RU)for some quasiprogenerator _RU and ⊿≌End _RU canonically. In this note the author gives a characterization of _RC which makes _RU a projective R-module in the case when R is a right perfect ring with identity, and shows that R-Mod is the unique complete additive subcategory of R-Mod which is equivalent to R-Mod for a left Artinian ring R.  相似文献

Let d(n)be the excess of the number of even conjugate classes of S_n over that of oddconjugate classes of S_n and q(n)the number of splitting classes of S_n.In this paper arecurrence formula for d(n)and one for q(n)are given.As a recurrence formula for thenumber p(n)of conjugate classes of S_n is known,one can make use of p(n),d(n)andq(n)to calculate the numbers of even(odd)conjugate classes of S_n and that of conjugateclasses of A_n.By means of a graphical method the author proves the identity d(n)=q(n)when n≥2,which seems to have been obtained first by Sylvester by use of generatingfunctions.  相似文献

A Riemannian manifold V~m which admits isometric imbedding into two spaces V~(m+p)ofdifferent constant curvatures is called a manifold of quasi constant curvature.TheRiemannian curvature of V~m is expressible in the formand conversely.In this paper it is proved that if M~n is any compact minimal submanifoldwithout boundary in a Riemannian manifold V~(n+p)of quasi constant curvature,then∫_(M~u)(2-1/p)σ~2-[na+1/2(b-丨b丨)(n+1)]σ+n(n-1)b~2*丨≥0,where σ is the square of the norm of the second fundamental form of M~n When V~(n+p)is amanifold of constant curvature,b=0,the above inequality reduces to that of Simons.  相似文献

This paper studies critical points of a time-varying vector field $\[f:M \times R \to TM\]$ on a compact Riemannian manifold M. It is shown that if a critical point $\[{x_0}\]$ admits an exponential dichotomy, then there are two families of manifolds,stable manifold family and unstable manifold family of $f$ through $\[{x_0}\]$ in some open neighborhood $V$ of $\[{x_0}\]$, moreover , the critical point $\[{x_0}\]$ is isolated. Also it is shown that the solution curve family of the perturbed time-varying vector field yielded by a small change of $f$ is qualitatively the same as that of $f$.  相似文献

In this paper the rotation direction r_f and rotation number p_f for any continuous flowon the torus are defined by applying Weil's theorem proved by Markley.The followingresults are obtained:(i)r_f=0 iff all orbits of f are proper and each limit set of f is homotopic to zeo onT~2;(ii)if r_f≠0,then p_f is irrational iff f has at least one non-trivial P stable orbit,p_f isrational iff f has at least one non-zero-homotopic closed or singular closed orbit.Then a method of computing the rotation number of certain flows is given.  相似文献

We use a narrow-band approach to compute harmonic maps and conformal maps for surfaces embedded in the Euclidean 3-space, using point cloud data only. Given a surface, or a point cloud approximation, we simply use the standard cubic lattice to approximate its $\epsilon$-neighborhood. Then the harmonic map of the surface can be approximated by discrete harmonic maps on lattices. The conformal map, or the surface uniformization, is achieved by minimizing the Dirichlet energy of the harmonic map while deforming the target surface of constant curvature. We propose algorithms and numerical examples for closed surfaces and topological disks. To the best of the authors' knowledge, our approach provides the first meshless method for computing harmonic maps and uniformizations of higher genus surfaces.  相似文献
