We generalize the concept of well-posedness to a mixed variational inequality and give some characterizations of its well-posedness. Under suitable conditions, we prove that the well-posedness of a mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the well-posedness of a corresponding inclusion problem. We also discuss the relations between the well- posedness of a mixed variational inequality and the well-posedness of a fixed point problem. Finally, we derive some conditions under which a mixed variational inequality is well-posed. In this paper, we first introduce the concept of Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a generalized mixed variational inequality in Banach spaces and establish some characterizations of its Levitin-Polyak well-posedness. Under suitable conditions, we prove that the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a generalized mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a corresponding inclusion problem and a corresponding fixed point problem. We also derive some conditions under which a generalized mixed variational inequality in Banach spaces is Levitin-Polyak well-posed.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to investigate Levitin–polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split variational inequality problem in reflexive Banach spaces. Furi-Vignoli-type characterizations are established for the well-posedness. We prove that the weak generalized Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations is equivalent to the nonemptiness and boundedness of the solution set of the problem. Finally, we discuss the relations between the Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split variational inequality problem and the Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split minimization problem when the split variational inequality problem arises from the split minimization problem.  相似文献

We introduced and studied the concept of well-posedness to a generalized mixed variational inequality. Some characterizations are given. Under suitable conditions, we prove that the well-posedness of the generalized mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the well-posedness of the corresponding inclusion problem. We also discuss the relations between the well-posedness of the generalized mixed variational inequality and the well-posedness of the corresponding fixed-point problem. Finally, we derive some conditions under which the generalized mixed variational inequality is well-posed.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to investigate Levitin–Polyak type well-posedness for inverse variational inequalities. We establish some metric characterizations of Levitin–Polyak α-well-posedness by perturbations. Under suitable conditions, we prove that Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of an inverse variational inequality is equivalent to the existence and uniqueness of its solution. Moreover, we show that Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of an inverse variational inequality is equivalent to Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of an enlarged classical variational inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the notion of Levitin–Polyak wellposedness by perturbations to the split inverse variational inequality problem. We derive metric characterizations of Levitin–Polyak wellposedness by perturbations. Under mild conditions, we prove that the Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split inverse variational inequality problem is equivalent to the existence and uniqueness of its solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce the concept of Hadamard well-posedness of a general mixed variational inequality in Banach space. Under some suitable conditions, relations between Levitin–Polyak well-posedness and Hadamard well-posedness of a general mixed variational inequality are studied. We also establish some characterizations of Hadamard well-posedness for a genaral mixed variational inequality. Finally, we derive some conditions under which a general mixed variational inequality is Hadamard well-posed.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an extension of well-posedness for a minimization problem to a class of variational–hemivariational inequalities with perturbations. We establish some metric characterizations for the well-posed variational–hemivariational inequality and give some conditions under which the variational–hemivariational inequality is strongly well-posed in the generalized sense. Under some mild conditions, we also prove the equivalence between the well-posedness of variational–hemivariational inequality and the well-posedness of corresponding inclusion problem.  相似文献

Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of variational inequalities   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper we consider the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of variational inequalities. We derive a characterization of the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by considering the size of Levitin-Polyak approximating solution sets of variational inequalities. We also show that the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of variational inequalities is closely related to the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of minimization problems and fixed point problems. Finally, we prove that under suitable conditions, the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a variational inequality is equivalent to the uniqueness and existence of its solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce two new classes of generalized monotone set-valued maps, namely relaxed μ–p monotone and relaxed μ–p pseudomonotone. Relations of these classes with some other well-known classes of generalized monotone maps are investigated. Employing these new notions, we derive existence and well-posedness results for a set-valued variational inequality problem. Our results generalize some of the well-known results. A gap function is proposed for the variational inequality problem and a lower error bound is obtained under the assumption of relaxed μ–p pseudomonotonicity. An equivalence relation between the well-posedness of the variational inequality problem and that of a related optimization problem pertaining to the gap function is also presented.  相似文献

In this paper, well-posedness of a general class of elliptic mixed hemivariational–variational inequalities is studied. This general class includes several classes of the previously studied elliptic mixed hemivariational–variational inequalities as special cases. Moreover, our approach of the well-posedness analysis is easily accessible, unlike those in the published papers on elliptic mixed hemivariational–variational inequalities so far. First, prior theoretical results are recalled for a class of elliptic mixed hemivariational–variational inequalities featured by the presence of a potential operator. Then the well-posedness results are extended through a Banach fixed-point argument to the same class of inequalities without the potential operator assumption. The well-posedness results are further extended to a more general class of elliptic mixed hemivariational–variational inequalities through another application of the Banach fixed-point argument. The theoretical results are illustrated in the study of a contact problem. For comparison, the contact problem is studied both as an elliptic mixed hemivariational–variational inequality and as an elliptic variational–hemivariational inequality.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce some notions of well-posedness for scalar equilibrium problems in complete metric spaces or in Banach spaces. As equilibrium problem is a common extension of optimization, saddle point and variational inequality problems, our definitions originates from the well-posedness concepts already introduced for these problems. We give sufficient conditions for two different kinds of well-posedness and show by means of counterexamples that these have no relationship in the general case. However, together with some additional assumptions, we show via Ekeland’s principle for bifunctions a link between them. Finally we discuss a parametric form of the equilibrium problem and introduce a well-posedness concept for it, which unifies the two different notions of well-posedness introduced in the first part.  相似文献

In this paper, the notions of the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations for system of general variational inclusion and disclusion problems (shortly, (SGVI) and (SGVDI)) are introduced in Hausdorff topological vector spaces. Some sufficient and necessary conditions of the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations for (SGVI) (resp., (SGVDI)) are derived under some suitable conditions. We also explore some relations among the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations, the existence and uniqueness of solution of (SGVI) and (SGVDI), respectively. Finally, the lower (upper) semicontinuity of the approximate solution mappings of (SGVI) and (SGVDI) are established via the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness by perturbations.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of variational inequalities which is called the general mixed variational inequality. It is known that the general mixed variational inequalities are equivalent to the fixed point problems. This equivalent formulation is used to suggest and analyze some three-step iterative schemes for finding the common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the mixed variational inequalities. We also study the convergence criteria of three-step iterative method under some mild conditions. Our results include the previous results as special cases and may be considered as an improvement and refinement of the previously known results.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend well-posedness notions to the split minimization problem which entails finding a solution of one minimization problem such that its image under a given bounded linear transformation is a solution of another minimization problem. We prove that the split minimization problem in the setting of finite-dimensional spaces is Levitin–Polyak well-posed by perturbations provided that its solution set is nonempty and bounded. We also extend well-posedness notions to the split inclusion problem. We show that the well-posedness of the split convex minimization problem is equivalent to the well-posedness of the equivalent split inclusion problem.  相似文献

Whether or not the general asymmetric variational inequality problem can be formulated as a differentiable optimization problem has been an open question. This paper gives an affirmative answer to this question. We provide a new optimization problem formulation of the variational inequality problem, and show that its objective function is continuously differentiable whenever the mapping involved in the latter problem is continuously differentiable. We also show that under appropriate assumptions on the latter mapping, any stationary point of the optimization problem is a global optimal solution, and hence solves the variational inequality problem. We discuss descent methods for solving the equivalent optimization problem and comment on systems of nonlinear equations and nonlinear complementarity problems.  相似文献

We give sufficient conditions for the equivalence between two equilibrium problems. In particular we deduce that, under suitable assumptions, an equilibrium problem has an equivalent reformulation as a generalized variational inequality. Such conditions are satisfied when the equilibrium bifunction is lower semicontinuous, coercive and quasiconvex with respect to the second variable. We also show that the equivalent generalized variational inequality inherits the same generalized monotonicity properties of the original nonconvex equilibrium problem.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a class of merit functions for variational inequality problems (VI). Through these merit functions, the variational inequality problem is cast as unconstrained minimization problem. We estimate the growth rate of these merit functions and give conditions under which the stationary points of these functions are the solutions of VI. In this paper, we introduce and consider a new class of mixed variational inequalities, which is called the general mixed variational inequality. Using the resolvent operator technique, we establish the equivalence between the general mixed variational inequalities and the fixed-point problems as well as resolvent equations. We use this alternative equivalent formulation to suggest and analyze some iterative methods for solving the general mixed variational inequalities. We study the convergence criteria of the suggested iterative methods under suitable conditions. Using the resolvent operator technique, we also consider the resolvent dynamical systems associated with the general mixed variational inequalities. We show that the trajectory of the dynamical system converges globally exponentially to the unique solution of the general mixed variational inequalities. Our methods of proofs are very simple as compared with others’ techniques. Results proved in this paper may be viewed as a refinement and important generalizations of the previous known results.  相似文献
