The composition of a chloroform seed extract of C. papaya was determined by GC-MS. Nineteen compounds were identified, with oleic (45.97%), palmitic (24.1%) and stearic (8.52%) acids being the main components. The insecticidal and insectistatic activities of the extract and the three main constituents were tested. Larval duration increased by 3.4 d and 2.5 d when the extract was used at 16,000 and 9,600 ppm, respectively, whereas the pupal period increased by 2.2 d and 1.1 d at the same concentrations. Larval viability values were 0%, 29.2%, and 50% when the extract was applied at 24,000, 16,000, and 9,600 ppm, respectively; pupal viability was 42.9% and 66.7% at 16,000 and 9,600 ppm; and pupal weight decreased by 25.4% and 11.5% at 16,000 and 9,600 ppm. The larval viability of the main compounds was 33.3%, 48.5%, and 62.5% when exposed to 1,600 ppm of palmitic acid, oleic acid, or stearic acid, respectively. 相似文献

The identification of the sex pheromone of the elm spanworm Ennomos subsignaria (Hübner), as the chiral alkenyl epoxide (6Z)-cis-9,10-epoxy-nonadecene has been accomplished. Both enantiomers of (6Z)-cis-9,10-epoxy-nonadecene have been synthesized via two routes. The key steps in the first route were to prepare both threo-epoxy tosylates and then to perform an alkylative rearrangement of these intermediates to obtain the target molecules. An alternative enantioenriched synthesis that took advantage of the Sharpless dihydroxylation reaction was developed so that a common starting material could be used to access both enantiomers. A field study and GC/EAD testing indicated that Z6-cis-9S,10R-epoxy-nonadecene was the sex pheromone of the elm spanworm E. subsignaria (Hübner). 相似文献

It has been shown with the aid of gas-liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry electroantennographic testing, and some microchemical reactions that the sex pheromone of females of the tortricid mothPandemis ribeana HB is a mixture of the acetates of tetradec-cis-ll-en-l-ol (I) and tetradec-trans-ll-en-l-ol (II) in a ratio of 1:1. A simple, five-step synthesis of the title compound was developed starting from commercially available 2,4-nonadienal. The overall yield of the pheromone is 29%, and the geometric purity of the 4 and 7 double bonds is 95%.
