We present some basic properties of the so-called boundary relative extremal function and discuss boundary pluripolar sets and boundary pluripolar hulls. We show that for B-regular domains the boundary pluripolar hull is always trivial on the boundary of the domain and present a “boundary version” of Zeriahi’s theorem on the completeness of pluripolar sets.  相似文献

Starting from the canonical boundary reduction, this paper studies an approximate differential boundary condition and an approximate integral boundary condition on an artificial boundary for the exterior problem of a harmonic equation, and gives an error estimate for the latter. This estimate reveals the relationship between the error and the approximate grade boundary conditions as well as the radius of the artificial boundary.  相似文献

We apply the trial method for the solution of Bernoulli's free boundary problem when the Dirichlet boundary condition is imposed for the solution of the underlying Laplace equation, and the free boundary is updated according to the Neumann boundary condition. The Dirichlet boundary value problem for the Laplacian is solved by an exponentially convergent boundary element method. The update rule for the free boundary is derived from the linearization of the Neumann data around the actual free boundary. With the help of shape sensitivity analysis and Banach's fixed‐point theorem, we shed light on the convergence of the respective trial method. Especially, we derive a stabilized version of this trial method. Numerical examples validate the theoretical findings.Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents computational algorithms that make it possible to overcome some difficulties in the numerical solving boundary value problems of thermal conduction when the solution domain has a complex form or the boundary conditions differ from the standard ones. The boundary contours are assumed to be broken lines (the 2D case) or triangles (the 3D case). The boundary conditions and calculation results are presented as discrete functions whose values or averaged values are given at the geometric centers of the boundary elements. The boundary conditions can be imposed on the heat flows through the boundary elements as well as on the temperature, a linear combination of the temperature and the heat flow intensity both at the boundary of the solution domain and inside it. The solution to the boundary value problem is presented in the form of a linear combination of fundamental solutions of the Laplace equation and their partial derivatives, as well as any solutions of these equations that are regular in the solution domain, and the values of functions which can be calculated at the points of the boundary of the solution domain and at its internal points. If a solution included in the linear combination has a singularity at a boundary element, its average value over this boundary element is considered.  相似文献

We investigate the regularity of a free boundary near contact points with a fixed boundary, with C1,1 boundary data, for an obstacle-like free boundary problem. We will show that under certain assumptions on the solution, and the boundary function, the free boundary is uniformly C1 up to the fixed boundary. We consider a boundary value problem for the Laplace operator in a model domain periodically perforated along the boundary. We assume that the homogeneous Neumann condition is posed on the exterior boundary and the homogeneous Dirichlet condition is posed on the boundary of the cavities. In this paper, we discuss the limit behaviour of solutions for a class of equivalued surface boundary value problems for parabolic equations. When the equivalued surface boundary \overline{\Gamma}^\varepsilon_1 shrinks to a fixed point on boundary \Gamma_1, only homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions or Neumann boundary conditions with Dirac function appear on \Gamma_1.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the stationary and nonstationary flow of viscous incompressible fluid under boundary conditions of friction type, which are certain nonlinear boundary conditions similar to the so-called Signorini boundary condition in elasticity. We assume that the flow is governed by the linear Stokes equation, while the boundary condition is nonlinear. From the methodological viewpoint, the analysis is carried out in a coherent way, starting from study of the related boundary value problems for the stationary flow by means of the theory of variational inequalities, and getting to wellposedness of the initial boundary value problems for the nonstationary flow by means of the nonlinear semigroup theory. From the viewpoint of applications, we mention original motivations and include some new generalizations like the cases of anisotropic friction and inhomogeneous boundary value.  相似文献

We apply the theory of signature invariants of links in rational homology spheres to covering links of homology boundary links. From patterns and Seifert matrices of homology boundary links, we derive an explicit formula to compute signature invariants of their covering links. Using the formula, we produce fused boundary links that are positive mutants of ribbon links but are not concordant to boundary links. We also show that for any finite collection of patterns, there are homology boundary links that are not concordant to any homology boundary links admitting a pattern in the collection.

An iterative finite element method for solving wave problems of a halfspace is presented in this paper. The halfspace is first truncated by introducing a fictive finite boundary on which some fictive boundary conditions must be imposed. A finite computational domain is in each iteration subjected to actual boundary conditions on real boundary and to fictive Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions on the fictive boundary. The radiation condition is satisfied by using DtN operator. The DtN operator is not introduce in the finite element formulation on the fictive boundary so any finite elements can be used. The method is simple and specially useful for computing higher harmonics.  相似文献

We prove that the Cauchy data of Dirichlet or Neumann Δ- eigenfunctions of Riemannian manifolds with concave (diffractive) boundary can only achieve maximal sup norm bounds if there exists a self-focal point on the boundary, i.e., a point at which a positive measure of geodesics leaving the point return to the point. In the case of real analytic Riemannian manifolds with real analytic boundary, maximal sup norm bounds on boundary traces of eigenfunctions can only be achieved if there exists a point on the boundary at which all geodesics loop back. As an application, the Dirichlet or Neumann eigenfunctions of Riemannian manifolds with concave boundary and non-positive curvature never have eigenfunctions whose boundary traces achieve maximal sup norm bounds. The key new ingredient is the Melrose–Taylor diffractive parametrix and Melrose’s analysis of the Weyl law.  相似文献

A new statement of a boundary value problem for partial differential equations is discussed. An arbitrary solution to a linear elliptic, hyperbolic, or parabolic second-order differential equation is considered in a given domain of Euclidean space without any constraints imposed on the boundary values of the solution or its derivatives. The following question is studied: What conditions should hold for the boundary values of a function and its normal derivative if this function is a solution to the linear differential equation under consideration? A linear integral equation is defined for the boundary values of a solution and its normal derivative; this equation is called a universal boundary value equation. A universal boundary value problem is a linear differential equation together with a universal boundary value equation. In this paper, the universal boundary value problem is studied for equations of mathematical physics such as the Laplace equation, wave equation, and heat equation. Applications of the analysis of the universal boundary value problem to problems of cosmology and quantum mechanics are pointed out.  相似文献

In this paper we consider boundary value problems in perforated domains with periodic structures and cavities of different scales, with the Neumann condition on some of them and mixed boundary conditions on others. We take a case when cavities with mixed boundary conditions have so called critical size (see [1]) and cavities with the Neumann conditions have the scale of the cell.
