The present paper contributes to the development of new efficient solutions aimed at improving vehicle functional safety through the implementation of new transmission diagnostic methods. The study focuses on a new perspective of the diagnostic frequency range for hypoid gear condition monitoring, using acoustic emission and vibro-acoustic signal measurements and the Discrete Wavelet Transform for data analysis. The identification of the most sensitive diagnostic parameters and determination of frequency intervals using the Discrete Wavelet Transform, in which the most significant increase in the values of diagnostic parameters can be seen, has been presented. In addition, the identification of the sensitivity of the above-introduced non-destructive methods is presented. Diagnostic results in the extended frequency range were compared with the results of the classical method, and it was found that the selected parameter in the proposed measuring range could better characterize the condition of the gear unit.  相似文献

Results of measurements of the characteristics of stimulated electromagnetic emission induced in ionospheric plasma by pulsed high-power radio waves (diagnostic emission) presented. The dependences of the properties of diagnostic emission on the parameters of the diagnostic wave, ionospheric conditions, and the level of development of artificial ionospheric turbulence are determined, and criteria are given for selection of optimal diagnostic conditions for ionospheric-plasma sounding. Results of experiments on the sounding of artificial ionospheric turbulence by means of diagnostic emission are provided. It is established that with transition from daytime to evening conditions, the characteristic times of emission decay are sharply increased. The condition assessment of high voltage equipment requires reliable diagnostic measurements. The reliability of an insulation diagnostic method can be examined by accelerated laboratory tests besides the analysis of failure statistics. Laboratory tests are used to find appropriate diagnostic method to insulation or insulating material. The aim of these laboratory tests is to determine the correlation between the ageing and the measured parameters however, in many cases, the direct interaction between main deterioration processes and the examined phenomenon is not still clearly recognized. Radiation exposure and image quality in X-ray diagnostic radiology provide a clear understanding of the relationship between the radiation dose delivered to a patient and image quality in optimizing medical diagnostic radiology. Because a certain amount of radiation is unavoidably delivered to patients, this should be as low as reasonably achievable. Several X-ray diagnostic machines were used at different medical diagnostic centers in Egypt for studying the beam quality and the dose delivered to the patient. This article studies the factors affecting the beam quality, such as the kilo-volt peak (kVp), exposure time (mSc), tube current (mAs) and the absorbed dose in (μGy) for different examinations. The maximum absorbed dose measured per mAs was 594±239 and 12.5±3.7 μGy for the abdomen and the chest, respectively, while the absorbed dose at the elbow was 18±6 μGy, which was the minimum dose recorded. The compound and expanded uncertainties accompanying these measurements were 4±0.35% and 8±0.7%, respectively. The measurements were done through quality control tests as acceptance procedures.  相似文献

The control of the deuterium–tritium (DT) fuel isotopic ratio has to ensure the best performance of the ITER thermonuclear fusion reactor. The diagnostic system described in this paper allows the measurement of this ratio analyzing the hydrogen isotope fluxes (performing neutral particle analysis (NPA)). The development and supply of the NPA diagnostics for ITER was delegated to the Russian Federation. The diagnostics is being developed at the Ioffe Institute. The system consists of two analyzers, viz., LENPA (Low Energy Neutral Particle Analyzer) with 10–200 keV energy range and HENPA (High Energy Neutral Particle Analyzer) with 0.1–4.0MeV energy range. Simultaneous operation of both analyzers in different energy ranges enables researchers to measure the DT fuel ratio both in the central burning plasma (thermonuclear burn zone) and at the edge as well. When developing the diagnostic complex, it was necessary to account for the impact of several factors: high levels of neutron and gamma radiation, the direct vacuum connection to the ITER vessel, implying high tritium containment, strict requirements on reliability of all units and mechanisms, and the limited space available for accommodation of the diagnostic hardware at the ITER tokamak. The paper describes the design of the diagnostic complex and the engineering solutions that make it possible to conduct measurements under tokamak reactor conditions. The proposed engineering solutions provide a safe—with respect to thermal and mechanical loads—common vacuum channel for hydrogen isotope atoms to pass to the analyzers; ensure efficient shielding of the analyzers from the ITER stray magnetic field (up to 1 kG); provide the remote control of the NPA diagnostic complex, in particular, connection/disconnection of the NPA vacuum beamline from the ITER vessel; meet the ITER radiation safety requirements; and ensure measurements of the fuel isotopic ratio under high levels of neutron and gamma radiation.  相似文献

The diagnostic scaling concept, introduced for the streamwise turbulence intensity in wall-bounded turbulent flows (Alfredsson, Segalini and Örlü, Phys. Fluids 2011;23:041702), is here extended and generalised not only for the higher even-order central statistical moments, but also for the odd moments and thereby the probability density distribution of the streamwise velocity fluctuations. Turbulent boundary layer data up to a friction Reynolds number of 60,000 are employed and demonstrate the feasibility of the diagnostic scaling for the data throughout the logarithmic and wake regions. A comparison with the generalised logarithmic law for even-order moments by Meneveau and Marusic (J. Fluid Mech. 2013;719:R1) based on the attached-eddy hypothesis, is reported. The diagnostic plot provides an apparent Reynolds-number-independent scaling of the data, and is exploited to reveal the functional dependencies of the constants needed in the attached-eddy-based model. In particular, the invariance of the lowest order diagnostic scaling poses an intriguing incompatibility with the asymptotic constancy of the Townsend–Perry constant.  相似文献

Design and operation of a practical, accurate alignment diagnostic system is important for the grating tiling technology, which is supposed to be applied in a chirped-pulse amplification system to increase the output power. A diagnostic method is proposed and demonstrated for grating tiling. Provided that the wavelength and incident angle of the diagnostic beam are properly set, the far-field of the main laser beam and that of the diagnostic beam can vary in the same way with the tiling errors between the sub-aperture gratings. Therefore, rotational and translational errors can be controlled and compensated according to the far-field of the diagnostic beam. The real-time monitoring and alignment can be achieved without disturbing the main beam.  相似文献

A diagnostic complex based on bolometers and X-ray diodes is developed and tested. The complex is designed for measurements of the power and the energy spectrum of the pulses of soft X-rays in a quanta energy range of 70–1500 eV. Both thin films and filters formed by pulsed gas-puff in the tube of the diagnostic channel were used as X-ray filters. Experiments were carried out on a high current generator under a load current up to 2 MA. Soft X-ray pulses with a power of about 1 TW and a duration of about 40 ns were formed by the implosion of krypton liners.  相似文献

This paper reports that an experimental investigation of fast pitch angle scattering(FPAS) of runaway electrons in the EAST tokamak has been performed.From the newly developed infrared detector(HgCdTe) diagnostic system,the infrared synchrotron radiation emitted by relativistic electrons can be obtained as a function of time.The FPAS is analysed by means of the infrared detector diagnostic system and the other correlative diagnostic systems(including electron-cyclotron emission,hard x-ray,neutrons).It is found that the intensity of infrared synchrotron radiation and the electron-cyclotron emission signal increase rapidly at the time of FPAS because of the fast increase of pitch angle and the perpendicular velocity of the energetic runaway electrons.The Parail and Pogutse instability is a possible mechanism for the FPAS.  相似文献

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is rapidly becoming the initial diagnostic step in the evaluation of gross abnormalities involving the brain or spinal cord in the pediatric patient. Control of patient motion and support of vital functions are critical if future utilization of MRI is to progress beyond its current outpatient diagnostic role. Currently, MRI's noninvasiveness, sensitivity and multiplanar graphic depiction of the disease process are supplanting the more traditional diagnostic modalities of CT, metrizamide CT, and myelography.  相似文献

The NEMO collaboration is in the final stages of completing a detector to search for neutrinoless double-beta decay. The experiment is called NEMO 3 and came on line at the beginning of 2002. Located in the Fréjus Underground Laboratory, the detector holds 10 kg of double-beta-decay isotopes, allowing one to study the effective neutrino mass down to approximately 0.1 eV. Thus, the detector has the potential to confirm physics beyond the Standard Model. Three of the detector’s sectors have been operating since June 2000 to perform diagnostic tests on the track recognition, the calorimeter, and the software. The results of these diagnostic tests are presented with a discussion of the detector and source backgrounds.  相似文献

We analyze variations in characteristics of the diagnostic stimulated electromagnetic emission of the ionosphere in the evening hours including the times of sunset both on the Earth’s surface at the observation point and in the ionosphere over it. It is found that an increase in typical times of evolution of the diagnostic emission begins to be recorded just before the sunset on the Earth’s surface when the ionosphere is illuminated and its parameters are not significantly changed yet. We state that the typical times of evolution of the diagnostic emission increase when the pump-wave frequency approaches the critical frequency of the ionospheric F2 layer, but such an effect is not as significant as when passing from the illuminated to the unilluminated ionosphere. It is established that at the stage of diagnostic sounding the pump-wave pulse power does not exert any notable influence on the first (fast) stage of relaxation of small-scale artificial ionospheric irregularities, but can increase the decay time of the irregularities at the second (slow) stage of relaxation. Stroboscopic signs were systematically rated for a group of 80 patients with benign vocal fold lesions, most of whom had either a nodule or a polyp. Each group revealed a characteristic pattern of ranking of signs and exhibited differences of most predominant signs. The results of the ratings were submitted to a multiple discriminant analysis to determine if post hoc stroboscopic ratings could be used to correctly classify patients into one of four diagnostic groups and into one of two treatment groups. All patients except one were correctly classified into the diagnostic groups, and all were correctly classified into the treatment groups. The important signs for classifying patients into the diagnostic groups were roughness of the edge of the affected vocal fold, phase closure pattern, and phase symmetry. The important signs for classifying patients into the treatment groups were roughness of the edge of the affected vocal fold, glottal closure configuration, and vibration characteristics of the affected (or more affected) vocal fold. The results suggest that objective evaluation of stroboscopic examinations can be valuable in correctly diagnosing patients and in selecting the proper treatment regimen for the patient.  相似文献

The most important point in the medical use of radiation is to minimize the patient entrance dose while maintaining the diagnostic information. Low-energy photons (long-wave X-ray) are unnecessary among diagnostic X-ray because they are mostly absorbed and increase the patient's entrance dose. The most effective method to eliminate the low-energy photon is use of a filtering plate. Using a filter appropriate for the image will maintain diagnostic value. Obtaining an effective image allows comparison of the resulting images in a logical objective way. This experiment was performed to determine the quality of image dosimeter when there is no filter, and when 2 mm Al, 0.1 mm Cu + 1 mm Al, 0.2 mm Cu + 1 mm Al filters are used. Using TORECK PD-8100 dose area products meter placed on top of an abdominal phantom, we measured the dose when the filter changes in this condition 85 kVp, 40 mAs, anode angle 13, source image distance 100 cm, 20 cm × 20 cm. We used the SRS-78 program for accurate comparison because we could not evaluate the difference in the image optically. The spectrum changed due to the emission of X-rays as the filter changed. We observed that the use of a filter eliminated the low-energy photons and revealed continuous X-ray and special X-ray. Therefore, the experiment highlighted the advantages of filters and confirmed that there are no changes in the quality of image through signal to noise ratio, peak signal to noise ratio, root mean square error comparison. We found that the use of filter did not lead to distortions in the image or drop in diagnostic value while minimizing the radiation dose. This means that it can help manage long-term patient dose. We conclude that we need to recommend the use of the filter as it reduces the area of dose.  相似文献

故障综合诊断技术一直是复杂机载电子系统研发过程中的关键部分,当前的故障诊断技术同时需要机内测试(BIT)和场外自动化测试设备(ATE)的测试结果才能得出诊断结果,诊断效率低,时间长并且不能在线诊断。针对新一代战斗机将更加依赖航空电子系统的趋势,迫切需要一种诊断时间短,且能够实现在线诊断的故障诊断技术。因此,一种基于模型的故障诊断方法被提出。该方法通过融合多信号模型和整数编码故障字典模型,模块间采用多信号模型,单个模块中采用整数编码故障字典模型,克服了多信号模型对测试信息的浪费和整数编码故障字典模型建模困难的缺点,并提出一种多目标测试优选方法,通过优化检测方案,充分发挥BIT的检测性能。该方法通过充分使用BIT的测试信息,摆脱了对场外ATE的依赖,实现了在线快速定位故障并识别故障模式。  相似文献

A plasma column generated in the PF-1000 device working in deuterium gas at a current level of 1 MA was investigated with interferometric diagnostics and scintillation detectors. The beam of diagnostic laser of 527-nm wavelength was optically split into 16 beams with a time delay in the range from 0 to 220 ns. This diagnostic tool makes possible the imaging of the evolution of pinch geometry, the axial and radial distributions of plasma density in the column at the stagnation phase, and their comparison with the evolution of X-ray and neutron production. The evolution of dense structure is described with respect to its importance for fusion processes.   相似文献
