An abelian topological group is an group if and only if it is a locally -compactk-space and every compact subset in it is contained in a compactly generated locally compact subgroup. Every abelian groupG is topologically isomorphic to G 0 where 0 andG 0 is an abelian group where every compact subset is contained in a compact subgroup. Intrinsic definitions of measures, convolution of measures, measure algebra,L 1-algebra, Fourier transforms of abelian groups are given and their properties are studied.  相似文献

We study the limiting behavior of the weighted central paths{(x(), s())} > 0 in linear programming at both = 0 and = . We establish the existence of a partition (B ,N ) of the index set { 1, ,n } such thatx i() ands j () as fori B , andj N , andx N (),s B () converge to weighted analytic centers of certain polytopes. For allk 1, we show that thekth order derivativesx (k) () ands (k) () converge when 0 and . Consequently, the derivatives of each order are bounded in the interval (0, ). The theory of R-(Q-) manifolds is generalized in two directions. Firstly, an axiomatical approach is proposed to describing various classes of manifolds (so-called K-manifolds) including, along with the indicated classes of Rand Q-manifolds, also, e.g., the manifolds modeled on the space, where is a cardinal. Secondly, all the arguments were carried out in the category TopB, which makes it possible to carry over from spaces to maps practically all basic results of the theory of R-(Q-) manifolds. Zusammenfassung Es wird eine semi-analytische Methode (S /0) zur Lösung der monoenergetischen Transportgleichung entwickelt. Diese Methode wird mit der bekanntenS 1 -Methode verglichen. Bei Anwendung letzterer auf Reaktorabschirmungen können negative Flüsse vorkommen. Dieser unphysikalische Effekt wird durch die neue Methode vollständig vermieden. Numerische Ergebnisse zeigen die Begrenzungen der Anwendbarkeit vonS 1 und bestätigen die numerische Stabilität vonS 0 .
A semianalytic method (S 0 ) is presented for solving the monoenergetic multi-region transport equation. This method is compared with results fromS 1 -theory given in the literature. Application ofS 1 -theory to reactor shields may lead to negative neutron fluxes and to flux oscillations. These unphysical effects are completely avoided by the new method. Numerical results demonstrate the limitation ofS 1 and confirm the numerical stability ofS 0 .

Summary This paper is concerned with the rate of convergence to zero of theL pmetrics np1p, constructed out of differences between distribution functions, for departure from normality for normed sums of independent and identically distributed random variables with zero mean and unit variance. We prove theorems on the lower semicontinuity and integral representations of the lower semicontinuous envelopes of integral functionals with integrands L of fast growth: c 1 G(|Du|) + c 2 L c 3 G(|Du|) + c 4 with c 3 c 1 > 0 and G : [0, [ [0, [ is an increasing convex function such that vG (v)/G(v) as v and is increasing for large v. This paper investigates the properties of (0) optimal policies in the model of [2]. It is shown that, if * = ( 0 * , 1 * ,..., n * , n +1/* , ...) is a-discounted optimal policy, then ( 0 * , 1 * , ..., n * ) for alln0 is also a-discounted optimal policy. Under some condition we prove that stochastic stationary policy n * corresponding to the decision rule n * is also optimal for the same discounting factor. We have also shown that for each-optimal stochastic stationary policy 0 * , 0 * can be decomposed into several decision rules to which the corresponding stationary policies are also-optimal separately; and conversely, a proper convex combination of these decision rules is identified with the former 0 * . We have further proved that for any (,)-optimal policy, say *=( 0 * , 1 * , ..., n * , n +1/* , ...), n–1 * ) is ((1– n )–1 e, ) optimal forn>0. We obtain outer rates of clustering in the functional laws of the iterated logarithm of Deheuvels and Mason(11) and Deheuvels,(7) which describe local oscillations of empirical processes. Considering increment sizes a n 0 such that na n and na n(log n)–7/3 we show that the sets of properly rescaled increment functions cluster with probability one to the n-enlarged Strassen ball in B(0, 1) endowed with the uniform topology, where n 0 may be chosen so small as (log (1/a n) + log log n)–2/3 for any sufficiently large . Maximal dissipative Schrödinger operators are studied in L 2((–,);E) (dimE=n<) that the extensions of a minimal symmetric operator with defect index (n,n) (in limit-circle case at – and limit point-case at ). We construct a selfadjoint dilation of a dissipative operator, carry out spectral analysis of a dilation, use the Lax–Phillips scattering theory, and find the scattering matrix of a dilation. We construct a functional model of the dissipative operator, determine its characteristic function in terms of the Titchmarsh–Weyl function of selfadjoint operator and investigate its analytic properties. Finally, we prove a theorem on completeness of the eigenvectors and associated vectors of a dissipative Schrödinger operators.  相似文献

Every Borel measurable function : [0, ) [0, ) induces a function : M M by (f)(x) = (|f(x)|). We introduce the concepts of -factor and -invariant space. If is a -subadditive seminorm function, we give, under suitable conditions over , necessary and sufficient conditions in order that M be invariant and prove the existence of -factors for . We also give a characterization of the best -factor for a -subadditive function seminorm when is -finite. This paper proposes a convex programming method to achieve optimal -state feedback control for continuous-time linear systems. State space conditions, formulated in an appropriate parameter space, define a convex set containing all the stabilizing control gains that guarantee an upper bound on the -norm of the closed-loop transfer function. An optimization problem is then proposed, in order to minimize this upper bound over the previous convex set, furnishing the optimal -control gain as its optimal solution. A limiting bound for the optimum -norm can easily be calculated, and the proposed method will achieve minimum attenuation whenever a feasible state feedback controller exists. Generalizations to decentralized and output feedback control are also investigated. One such example for which we also provide numerical results is that for whichK(x)=J (x) andL(x)=Y (x), whereJ (x) andY (x) are the Bessel functions of order .
