We show that the two most frequent expressions for the anomalous commutators can be both derived from quantities associated with the WZW model.  相似文献

Covariant first order differential calculus on the quantum projective spaces CP q N-1 is studied by two approaches. First, the embedding of CP q N-1 into the quantum spheres S q 2N-1 is used to obtain differential calculi on CP q N-1 by restriction; second, classification results for differential calculi on CP q N-1 under three different constraint settings are proved directly. The main results are that under each of the constraints considered, there exists a differential calculus which is uniquely determined if N 6, and that (essentially) all of the differential *-calculi on S q 2N-1 known from a previous classification paper admit restriction to CP q N-1 .  相似文献

Two hierarchies of quantum principal bundles over quantum real projective spaces are constructed. One hierarchy contains bundles with U(1)U(1) as a structure group, the other has the quantum group SUq(2)SUq(2) as a fibre. Both hierarchies are obtained by the process of prolongation from bundles with the cyclic group of order 2 as a fibre. The triviality or otherwise of these bundles is determined by using a general criterion for a prolongation of a comodule algebra to be a cleft Hopf–Galois extension.  相似文献

For certain roots of unity, we consider the categories of weight modules over three quantum groups: small, unrestricted and unrolled. The first main theorem of this paper is to show that there is a modified trace on the projective modules of the first two categories. The second main theorem is to show that category over the unrolled quantum group is ribbon. Partial results related to these theorems were known previously.  相似文献

LetΓ=Γ ±,z be one of theN 2-dimensional bicovariant first order differential calculi for the quantum groups GL q (N), SL q (N), SO q (N), or Sp q (N), whereq is a transcendental complex number andz is a regular parameter. It is shown that the de Rham cohomology of Woronowicz’s external algebraΓ ^ coincides with the de Rham cohomologies of its leftinvariant, its right-invariant and its biinvariant subcomplexes. In the cases GL q (N) and SL q (N) the cohomology ring is isomorphic to the biinvariant external algebraΓ inv ^ and to the vector space of harmonic forms. We prove a Hodge decomposition theorem in these cases. The main technical tool is the spectral decomposition of the quantum Laplace-Beltrami operator. It is also applicable for quantum Euclidean spheres. The eigenvalues of the Laplace-Beltrami operator in cases of the general linear quantum group, the orthogonal quantum group, and the quantum Euclidean spheres are given.  相似文献

We construct examples of locally compact quantum groups coming from bicrossed product construction, including non-Kac ones, which can faithfully and ergodically act on connected classical (noncompact) smooth manifolds. However, none of these actions can be isometric in the sense of Goswami (Commun Math Phys 285(1):141–160, 2009), leading to the conjecture that the result obtained by Goswami and Joardar (Rigidity of action of compact quantum groups on compact, connected manifolds, 2013. arXiv:1309.1294) about nonexistence of genuine quantum isometry of classical compact connected Riemannian manifolds may hold in the noncompact case as well.  相似文献

An example of a finite dimensional factorizable ribbon Hopf -algebra is given by a quotientH=u q (g) of the quantized universal enveloping algebraU q (g) at a root of unityq of odd degree. The mapping class groupM g,1 of a surface of genusg with one hole projectively acts by automorphisms in theH-moduleH *g , ifH * is endowed with the coadjointH-module structure. There exists a projective representation of the mapping class groupM g,n of a surface of genusg withn holes labeled by finite dimensionalH-modulesX 1, ...,X n in the vector space Hom H (X 1 ... X n ,H *g ). An invariant of closed oriented 3-manifolds is constructed. Modifications of these constructions for a class of ribbon Hopf algebras satisfying weaker conditions than factorizability (including most ofu q (g) at roots of unityq of even degree) are described. This work was supported in part by the EPSRC research grant GR/G 42976.  相似文献

Associated to the standard SU q (n) R-matrices, we introduce quantum spheresS q 2n-1 , projective quantum spaces q n-1 , and quantum Grassmann manifoldsG k( q n ). These algebras are shown to be homogeneous spaces of standard quantum groups and are also quantum principle bundles in the sense of T. Brzeziski and S. Majid.  相似文献

We generalize Manton's construction of discrete monopoles in Minkowski space to their analog in CP(n). Topological charge, analogous to the first Chern number in the smooth bundle, is obtained for the corresponding discrete bundle and is shown to be Q=±1. We also discuss the discretization of the smooth sphere bundles over the real projective space RP(n) and the quaternionic projective space HP(n). Finally, we make a conjecture of the discretization of the smooth sphere bundles over the discrete projective spaces R 2k P(n) for all positive integers k and n.  相似文献

We propose a method of calculating the heat kernel expansion of coset spaces. The five first coefficients of this expansion on symmetric spaces of dimension d8 are obtained.  相似文献

Unitary representations of some infinite dimensional groups   总被引:10,自引:2,他引:10
We construct projective unitary representations of (a) Map(S 1;G), the group of smooth maps from the circle into a compact Lie groupG, and (b) the group of diffeomorphisms of the circle. We show that a class of representations of Map(S 1;T), whereT is a maximal torus ofG, can be extended to representations of Map(S 1;G),  相似文献

In this work, we explore a new connection between quantum groups and Tsallis entropy through the energy spectrum of a Hamiltonian with SUq(2)SUq(2) symmetry. Identifying the deformation parameter of the entropy with the parameter of deformation of the associated quantum group, we deduce Tsallis entropy for states related to such a system with SUq(2)SUq(2) symmetry and conducted an investigation of quantum entanglement.  相似文献

The orthodox presentation of quantum theory often includes statements on state preparation and measurements without mentioning how these processes can be achieved. The often quoted projection postulate is regarded by many as problematical. This paper presents a systematic framework for state preparation and measurement. Within the existing Hilbert space formulation of quantum mechanics for spinless particles we show that it is possible (1)to prepare an arbitrary state and (2)to reduce all quantum measurements to local position measurements in an asymptotic way by unitary evolution processes without recourse to the projection postulate. A generalization to spin-1/2particles is also given. The theory presented provides a general mathematical and theoretical foundation for many practical schemes for state preparation and measurement.  相似文献

We prove that each action of a compact matrix quantum group on a compact quantum space can be decomposed into irreducible representations of the group. We give the formula for the corresponding multiplicities in the case of the quotient quantum spaces. We describe the subgroups and the quotient spaces of quantumSU(2) andSO(3) groups.  相似文献

We consider either 3 spinless bosons or 3 equal mass spin-1/2 fermions, interacting via a short-range potential of infinite scattering length and trapped in an isotropic harmonic potential. For a zero-range model, we obtain analytically the exact spectrum and eigenfunctions: for fermions all the states are universal; for bosons there is a coexistence of decoupled universal and efimovian states. All the universal states, even the bosonic ones, have a tiny 3-body loss rate. For a finite range model, we numerically find for bosons a coupling between zero angular momentum universal and efimovian states; the coupling is so weak that, for realistic values of the interaction range, these bosonic universal states remain long-lived and observable.  相似文献

We introduce the analogue of the metric tensor in the case ofq-deformed differential calculus. We analyse the consequences of the existence of the metric, showing that this enforces severe restrictions on the parameters of the theory. We discuss in detail examples of the Manin plane and theq-deformation of SU(2). Finally we touch the topic of relations with Connes' approach.Partially supported by KBN grant 2P 302 168 4.  相似文献
