Summary.  Ab initio calculations at the HF/6-31G* level of theory for geometry optimization and the MP2/6-31G*//HF/6-31G* level for a single point total energy calculation are reported for (Z,Z)-, (E,Z)-, and (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-dienes. The C 2-symmetric twist-boat conformation of (Z,Z)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 3.6 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the C S-symmetric boat-chair form; the calculated energy barrier for ring inversion of the twist-boat conformation via the C S-symmetric boat-boat geometry is 19.1 kJ·mol−1. Interconversion between twist-boat and boat-chair conformations takes place via a half-chair (C 1) transition state which is 43.5 kJ·mol−1 above the twist-boat form. The unsymmetrical twist-boat-chair conformation of (E,Z)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 18.7 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the unsymmetrical boat-chair form. The calculated energy barrier for the interconversion of twist-boat-chair and boat-chair is 69.5 kJ·mol−1, whereas the barrier for swiveling of the trans-double bond through the bridge is 172.6 kJ·mol−1. The C S symmetric crown conformation of the parallel family of (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 16.5 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the C S-symmetric boat-chair form. Interconversion of crown and boat-chair takes place via a chair (C S) transition state which is 37.2 kJ·mol−1 above the crown conformation. The axial- symmetrical twist geometry of the crossed family of (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-diene is 5.9 kJ·mol−1 less stable than the crown conformation. Corresponding author. Wittig reactions of 2-furaldehyde (20) [and thiophene-2-carbaldehyde (21)] with (3-guaiazulenylmethyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide (19) in ethanol containing NaOEt at 25 °C for 24 h under argon give (E)-1-(2-furyl)-2-(3-guaiazulenyl)ethylene (22E) and (E)-1-(2-thienyl)-2-(3-guaiazulenyl)ethylene (23E) in 53 and 36% yields. Similarly, Wittig reactions of 3-furaldehyde (29) [and thiophene-3-carbaldehyde (30)] with 19 under the same reaction conditions as for 20 and 21 afford (E)-1-(3-furyl)-2-(3-guaiazulenyl)ethylene (31E) and (E)-1-(3-thienyl)-2-(3-guaiazulenyl)ethylene (32E) in 32 and 46% yields. Molecular structures and characteristic properties as well as preparation of the title E (i.e., one of the geometrical isomers) forms, with a view to comparative study, are reported. Moreover, reactions of those conjugated π-electron systems with TCNE (=tetracyanoethylene) in benzene [and in DMF (=N,N-dimethylformamide)] at 25 °C for 24 h under argon yield unique products, possessing interesting molecular structures, respectively, whose characteristic properties and crystal structures are documented, also.  相似文献

Two slightly distorted octahedral complexes of copper(II) with (E)-2-((E)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)allylidene)hydrazinecarbothioamide (L1) common name 3,4,5-trimethoxy-cinnamaldehydethiosemicarbazone and (E)-N-phenyl-2-((E)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-allylidene)hydrazinecarbothioamide (L2) common name 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamaldehyde-4-phenylthiosemicarbazone have been synthesized. The two free ligands and their copper(II) complexes were characterized by spectroscopic techniques like FT-IR, FT-Raman, UV, EPR, Powder X-ray diffraction and cyclic voltammetry. The EPR spectra evidenced a rhombically distorted octahedron geometry for both the copper(II) complexes. The band gap calculations for the ligands L1, L2 and their complexes Cu(L1)2Cl2 and Cu(L2)2Cl2 were found to be 2.98, 2.61, 2.66 and 2.50 eV respectively. Cu(L1)2Cl2 and Cu(L2)2Cl2 have shown 50% of viability at 80 μg/ml and 60 μg/ml. The anti-oxidant activity study revealed that the compounds are good reductants of DPPH radical. Moderate to good anti-bacterial activity is shown by the compounds against the Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Molecular docking studies have been carried out to predict the orientation and binding mode of analysis in the active site. The synthesized ligand and complex well occupy (catalytic triad and adenine-binding site) in the active site of β-ketoacyl-acyl carrier protein synthase III enzyme, and also well occupy in helix 11 (in the DCS complex) of human estrogen receptor. Moreover they form water mediated hydrogen bond and hydrogen bond with Cys530 residue.  相似文献

In order to characterize the structural elements that might play a role in non-covalent DNA binding by the antitumor antibiotic leinamycin, we have solved the crystal structures of the two leinamycin analogs, methyl (R)-5-{2-[1-(tert-butoxy­carbonyl­amino)­ethyl]­thia­zol-4-yl}penta-(E,E)-2,4-dienoate, C16H22N2O4S, (II), and 2-methyl-8-oxa-16-thia-3,17-di­aza­bicyclo­[12.2.1]­heptadeca-(Z,E)-1(17),10,12,14-tetraene-4,9-di­one, C14H16N2O3S, (III). The penta-2,4-dienone moiety in both of these analogs adopts a conformation close to planarity, with the thia­zole ring twisted out of the plane by 12.9 (2)° in (II) and by 21.4 (4)° in (III).  相似文献

Rate coefficients for the gas-phase reaction of the OH radical with (E)-2-pentenal (CH(3)CH(2)CH[double bond]CHCHO), (E)-2-hexenal (CH(3)(CH(2))(2)CH[double bond]CHCHO), and (E)-2-heptenal (CH(3)(CH(2))(3)CH[double bond]CHCHO), a series of unsaturated aldehydes, over the temperature range 244-374 K at pressures between 23 and 150 Torr (He, N(2)) are reported. Rate coefficients were measured under pseudo-first-order conditions in OH with OH radicals produced via pulsed laser photolysis of HNO(3) or H(2)O(2) at 248 nm and detected by pulsed laser-induced fluorescence. The rate coefficients were independent of pressure and the room temperature rate coefficients and Arrhenius expressions obtained are (cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) units): k(1)(297 K)=(4.3 +/- 0.6)x 10(-11), k(1)(T)=(7.9 +/- 1.2)x 10(-12) exp[(510 +/- 20)/T]; k(2)(297 K)=(4.4 +/- 0.5)x 10(-11), k(2)(T)=(7.5 +/- 1.1)x 10(-12) exp[(520 +/- 30)/T]; and k(3)(297 K)=(4.4 +/- 0.7)x 10(-11), k(3)(T)=(9.7 +/- 1.5)x 10(-12) exp[(450 +/- 20)/T] for (E)-2-pentenal, (E)-2-hexenal and (E)-2-heptenal, respectively. The quoted uncertainties are 2sigma(95% confidence level) and include estimated systematic errors. Rate coefficients are compared with previously published room temperature values and the discrepancies are discussed. The atmospheric degradation of unsaturated aldehydes is also discussed.  相似文献
