Frictional cooling — that is cooling a beam of very low-energetic charged particles by moderation in matter and simultaneous acceleration in an electrostatic field — has been shown to be feasible during our experiments in 1994/1995 at PSI. In agreement with our previous closed-form and Monte Carlo calculations we found a significant increase in spectral density and a decrease in the angular spread in the case of a beam of negative muons.  相似文献

We report a major upgrading work currently underway at the RIKEN-RAL Muon Facility. A slow muon beam line has been constructed at Port 3 experimental area in order to generate a low-energy, low-emittance positive muon beam, which will open many new possibilities for use of the muon beam. Meanwhile, a new experimental port is under construction to accommodate new experimental programs such as measurement of muonic X-rays from ions implanted to deuterium layer. The 400 MeV/u 12C6+ion beam was successfully cooled by the intensive electron beam near 1 A in CSRe.The momentum cooling time was estimated near 15 s.The cooling force was measured in the cases of different electron beam profiles,and the different angles between the ion beam and electron beam.The lifetime of the ion beam in CSRe was over 80 h.The dispersion in the cooling section was confirmed as positive close to zero.The beam sizes before cooling and after cooling were measured by the moving screen.The beam diameter after cooling was about 1 mm.The bunch length was measured with the help of the signals from the beam position monitor.The diffusion was studied in the absence of the electron beam.  相似文献

A new generation electron cooler has started operation in the heavy ion synchrotron CSRm which is used to increase the intensity of heavy ions. Transverse cooling of the ion beam after horizontal multi-turn injection allows beam accumulation at the injection energy. After optimization of the accumulation process an intensity increase in a synchrotron pulse by more than one order of magnitude has been achieved. In given accumulation time interval of 10 seconds, 108 particles have been accumulated and accelerated to the final energy. The momentum spread after accumulation and acceleration in the 10-4 range has been demonstrated in six species of ion beams. Primary measurements of accumulation process varying with electron energy, electron beam current, electron beam profile, expansion factor and injection interval have been performed. The lifetimes of ion beams in the presence of electron beams were roughly measured with the help of DCCT signal.  相似文献

相变喷雾冷却具有很高的换热效率和临界热流密度,为了获得大冷量相变喷雾冷却特性,文中设计并搭建了开式喷雾冷却性能实验台,采用R22制冷剂开展了大热流密度喷雾冷却特性的实验研究,详细研究了不同喷嘴入口压力、不同喷雾高度以及小同加热功率下R22的喷雾相变冷却效果.实验结果的分析表明:采用R22时最高热流密度可达到150W·cm-2,其对应的被冷却表面温度为-29.0℃,具有高热流密度及低冷却表面温度的显著特点;实验还从一定程度上揭示了喷嘴高度和喷嘴入口压力对R22喷雾冷却效果的影响.  相似文献

为了在兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)上开展一维离子束序化的研究,在CSR主环上,对6.39 MeV/u的58Ni19+离子束进行了冷却累积实验。测量了离子束与电子束之间不同的水平、垂直夹角以及不同电子束剖面的情况下,束流累积及束流寿命变化情况;重点研究了离子束衰减过程中动量分散随离子数的变化规律,拟合计算得到了动量分散随离子数按照幂函数衰减的指数;在给定离子数的情况下,动量分散随夹角、电子束剖面的依赖关系,为下一步在CSR上获得纵向一维有序化离子束的研究做准备。在实验中观测到在较大的夹角情况下,离子束出现纵向振荡和中心频率移动。  相似文献

本文通过模拟传热模型,建立起激光器风冷系统的换热基本方程式.分析指出:仅当热阻主要集中于光泵浦——冷却质一侧时,增加循环工作物质密度才有提高换热效果、减小流动阻力、降低风机耗功的明显效果.在此基础上研制成功重复率为10c/s,热耗散功率200W的激光器中压气体封闭循环风冷系统.实验研究所用气体压力P、流速W、壳体外壁侧热阻等诸因素对冷却效能影响的结果亦与分析结论一致.  相似文献

提出了一种采用蓝失谐局域中空光束实现中性原子冷却与囚禁的新方法,并采用Monte-Carlo模拟方法研究了局域中空光束中原子强度梯度冷却(即Sisyphus冷却)的 动力学过程. 研究发现一个温度约为5μK和密度为10^12—10^13cm^3的超冷原子样品可以在我们的单束局域中空光束势阱中获得,而且这一原子密度可通过改变聚焦系统的相对孔径来加以调控. 因此,这一蓝失谐的局域中空光束还可用于实现全光型玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚. 关键词: 局域中空光束 原子囚禁 强度梯度冷却  相似文献

针对高热流密度激光介质高效散热与均匀冷却技术需求,设计并搭建了以去离子水为冷却工质的开式单喷嘴喷雾冷却实验平台,实验研究获得了不同热流密度(16~110 W/cm2)、不同冷却工质流量(200~300 mL/min)以及不同喷雾高度(15~25 mm)下单相喷雾冷却换热系数及其冷却均匀性效果。结果表明:该实验工况下,不同热流密度条件下喷雾高度及工质流量对于单相喷雾冷却换热效率及温度均匀性影响显著;喷雾高度15 mm、工质流量200 mL/min时获得最大对流换热系数为5.93 W/(cm2·K);喷雾高度15 mm、工质流量250 mL/min时面积20 mm×20 mm的热源表面温度均匀性最佳可优于0.6 ℃。  相似文献

At the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI, Villigen, Switzerland) a new high-intensity muon beam line with momentum p < 40 MeV/c is currently being commissioned. The beam line is especially designed to serve the needs of the low-energy, polarized positive muon source (LE-μ+) and LE-μ SR spectrometer at PSI. The beam line replaces the existing μ E4 muon decay channel. A large acceptance is accomplished by installing two solenoidal magnetic lenses close to the muon production target E that is hit by the 590-MeV PSI proton beam. The muons are then transported by standard large aperture quadrupoles and bending magnets to the experiment. Several slit systems and an electrostatic separator allow the control of beam shape, momentum spread, and to reduce the background due to beam positrons or electrons. Particle intensities of up to 3.5 × 108 μ+/s and 107 μ/s are expected at 28 MeV/c beam momentum and 1.8 mA proton beam current. This will translate into a LE-μ+ rate of 7,000/s being available at the LE-μ SR spectrometer, thus achieving μ+ fluxes, that are comparable to standard μ SR facilities.  相似文献

A new project was initiated at PSI to replace the existing μE4 decay channel with a new beam line delivering surface/cloud beams of highest luminosities. This goal will be accomplished by installing a solenoidal lens system at the main production target E and then transporting the muons with conventional beamline elements of very big apertures to a greatly enlarged experimental floor. Several slit systems and an electrostatic separator will be available to control the beam shape and reduce the electrons and other background. Particle fluxes up to 5 × 108 μ+/s and 107 μ/s can be expected at 28 MeV/c beam momentum, using the 600 MeV primary proton beam of 1.7 mA. The operation of the channel will be limited to a maximum momentum of 40 MeV/c. The beam line has been specially designed to provide highest flux to the ultra-slow μ+ beam (LEM). 以水为冷却介质,采用Spray公司的TG0.3机械雾化实心圆锥喷嘴,在体积通量为0.044,0.049和0.053 m3/(m2·s)情况下,对刻有不同微结构槽道冷却面的无沸腾区换热性能进行实验研究。结果表明:刻有微结构的表面可明显增强换热效果;壁面刻有高为0.2 mm的微结构槽道且壁面温度为52 ℃时,体积通量为0.044 m3/(m2·s则热流可达260 W/cm2,通量为0.053 m3/(m2·s则散热功率高达376 W/cm2,完全可以满足当前高功率激光器的散热需求。对于光滑面以及槽肋高为0.1和0.2 mm的换热面,其换热能力随着体积通量的增加而增强;换热面高度为0.4 mm时,通量对换热的影响变得较微弱。微结构槽道不仅增加了换热面积,还有利于液膜扩散,减小液膜厚度,增强换热。在三种不同的流量通量下,高度为0.2 mm的微结构槽道换热性能最佳。  相似文献

实验研究了HIRFL-CSRm中电子冷却装置对C6+,Ar15+两种束流寿命的影响。首先,通过对比实验的测量确定电子冷却可以有效提高束流寿命;其次,探究了电子冷却装置中的各项参数(主要是电子束密度分布、流强、能量、绝热展开因子)是如何影响束流寿命的,通过改变电子束参数,测量束流寿命的变化趋势和规律,并且结合电子冷却相关理论对实验结果给予解释,最终通过实验优化和确定最佳的冷却装置参数,使束流在HIRFL-CSRm上获得了较高的寿命,从而提高HIRFL-CSRm束流累积过程中的流强增益。  相似文献

在国产六面顶压机上,采用温度梯度法,在5.6 GPa,1200—1400?C的高压高温条件下,裂晶问题频繁出现的合成周期内,围绕裂晶现象开展了Ib型宝石级金刚石单晶的生长研究,系统考察了降温工艺对宝石级金刚石单晶品质的影响.针对宝石级金刚石单晶常见的裂纹缺陷,借助于扫描电子显微镜,分别对优质金刚石单晶和存在裂纹金刚石单晶的表面形貌进行了表征;利用微区傅里叶转换红外光谱测试手段,对上述两类晶体的N杂质含量分别进行了测试,依据测试结果,对裂晶出现的原因进行了分析;分别采用传统断电降温和缓慢降温工艺,考察了晶体生长结束后的降温工艺对宝石级金刚石单晶品质的影响.结果表明,缓慢降温工艺在很大程度上可以有效抑制裂晶问题出现.另外,从宝石级金刚石单晶品质和单晶受到的外应力两个方面着手,分别对裂晶出现的机理和采用缓慢降温工艺有效解决裂晶问题的机理进行了讨论.  相似文献

Using the algebraic dynamical method, this paper investigates the laser cooling of a moving two-level atom coupled to a cavity field. Analytical solutions of optical forces and the cooling temperatures are obtained. 高强度的亚稳态惰性原子束流在原子分子物理实验研究中具有广泛的应用.使用射频电离方法和激光横向冷却技术制备了高强度的亚稳态氪原子束流,并使用数值模拟方法对横向冷却激光场中的原子径迹进行了分析.通过激光诱导荧光光谱方法测量原子束的束流特性,结果显示,横向冷却后在束流源下游230 cm处的原子束流强度达1.6atoms/(s*sr),束流强度提高了两个量级.利用这种高强度原子束流,我们成功囚禁了1.3×1010个亚稳态84Kr原子,同时冷原子装载速率达到了3.0×1011atoms/s;并利用该装置成功地实现了高亮度的亚稳态氩原子束和原子阱. 关键词: 横向冷却 原子束 原子阱 惰性气体  相似文献

激光汇聚铬原子沉积实验中,铬原子束准直度的好坏非常重要.利用蒙特卡罗随机思想选取原子轨迹初始条件,将52Cr原子以外的其他同位素、纵向速度分布和横向发散角等因素综合考虑,对铬原子束横向一维激光冷却进行了优化分析.经过与均匀取值法比较,这种方法能够更好地体现原子运动的不确定性,挑选出不参与冷却过程的同位素,使考察界面内原子束的横向位置分布更好的符合实验结果.结果显示,冷却过程中其他同位素的存在使原子束横向位置分布的中心最大值减小9.3%,半高宽增加11%,并且增加轮廓曲线的基底. 关键词: 激光冷却 蒙特卡罗方法 铬原子束  相似文献
