Results of the experimental study of excitation of transitions of singly charged barium atoms in collisions of low-energy monokinetic electrons with barium atoms are presented. Regularities of the behavior of cross sections for excitation in spectral series of BaII are found. The results are compared with other authors’ results.  相似文献

Excitation of spectral lines of SrII, including laser lines, is studied experimentally in collisions of slow electrons with strontium atoms. Twenty-one excitation cross sections are measured at an energy of electrons of 30 eV. Five optical excitation functions are recorded at an energy ranging from 0 to 200 eV. Direct-excitation cross sections for the 5p 2 P°1/2, 3/2 levels and the contribution to their population by cascade transitions are calculated. Excitation cross sections of two laser transitions in the IR spectral region are determined using known branching ratios. The results obtained are compared with data of previous experiments.  相似文献

The method of extended crossing beams was used to study inelastic collisions of slow electrons with LaBr3 molecules. Dissociative excitation caused the appearance of spectral lines of the singly charged lanthanum ion. 38 dissociative excitation cross sections of LaII spectral lines (upper singlet levels) were studied at a 100 eV exciting electron energy. Three optical excitation functions were recorded over the electron energy range 0–100 eV. The cross sections obtained are compared with the data on dissociative excitation cross sections of the LaCl3 molecule.  相似文献

Inelastic collisions of slow electrons with indium atoms resulting in the production of excited singly charged indium ions are experimentally studied. Excitation cross sections of 123 InII spectral lines are measured at the excitation electron energy of 30 eV. Nine optical excitation functions are recorded. The dependence of the excitation cross sections on the principal quantum number of the upper level is examined for 12 InII spectral series.  相似文献

The excitation of odd Tm II levels in electron-atom collisions has been studied by the technique of extended crossed beams. At an energy of exciting electrons of 50 eV, 19 excitation cross sections have been measured. The process under study occurs as an excitation with a simultaneous single ionization. The method of extended crossing beams in conjunction with optical spectroscopy is used to study the dissociative excitation of even levels of YII in e-YBr3 collisions. At the exciting electron energy of 100 eV, 38 dissociative excitation cross sections are measured. Comparison of these cross sections with the cross sections for direct excitation in e-Y collisions shows that, for all the investigated even levels of YII, dissociative excitation is more efficient than direct one.  相似文献

The dissociative excitation of the singly charged manganese ion in collisions of electrons with MnI2 molecules is experimentally studied. At exciting electron energy of 100 eV, 16 dissociative excitation cross sections were measured. The studied transitions occur within the quintet and septet term systems in the absence of intercombination transitions. The measured values of the cross sections are compared to similar values obtained previously in studies of e–MnCl2 and e–MnBr2 collisions.  相似文献

Forty-eight excitation cross sections of Se II spectral lines have been measured at an electron energy of 50 eV. The excitation of high-lying triplet levels of a singly charged yttrium ion by electron-atom collisions is studied experimentally. The parity of the levels studied coincides with the parity of the initial state YI. Forty one excitation cross sections with simultaneous single ionization are measured for an exciting electron energy of 50 eV. The optical excitation functions (OEF) are recorded for the majority of transitions in the electron energy range 0–200 eV. The total cross sections are determined for 20 energy levels. The relativistic eikonal approximation and a matching procedure are used to describe excitation and ionization of hydrogen-like atoms from an arbitrary discrete energy state by the impact of a highly charged relativistic bare ion. Bethe-type formulas are derived that are asymptotically valid in the limits of vc and Z ? 1, where v is the relative collision velocity, c is the speed of light, and Z is the ion charge.  相似文献
