Three homologous series of chiral swallow-tailed compounds, alkyl (S)-2-{6-[4-(4′-alkoxyphenyl)benzoyloxy]-2-naphthyl}propionates, (S)HNP(p,n,q) derived from (S)-2-(6-hydroxy-2-naphthyl)propionic acid in conjugation with a variety of swallow-tailed groups, attached to the external side of the chiral centre, have been synthesized and their mesomorphic and electro-optical properties studied. Both (S)HNP(p,1,2) and (S)HNP(p,1,3) exhibited an enantiotropic antiferroelectric SmC*A phase. This implys that the swallow-tailed groups in the molecules favour zigzag pairing of the molecules in the smectic phase. The maximum P S values of compounds (S)HNP(p,1,2) in the antiferroelectric phase were measured in the range 21–30 nC cm-2; those of compounds (S)HNP(p,1,3) were in the range 15–23 nC cm-2, indicating that these chiral compounds possess low polarity. The electro-optical response of the compounds in the antiferroelectric SmC*A phase displayed thresholdless V-shaped switching.  相似文献

Three homologous series of chiral materials derived from (S)-2-(6-hydroxy-2-naphthly)propionic acid with a methyleneoxy linking group were synthesized for the investigation of mesomorphic properties. All the materials displayed enantiotropic SmA* and SmC* phases. The spontaneous polarization (P s) and optical tilt angles in the SmC* phase of the chiral materials were measured. The maximum spontaneous polarizations are in the range 12.3-19.1 nC cm-2. No significant difference could be found in the P s values with respect to the various alkyl chiral chain lengths, n. The maximum optical tilt angles are in the range 25-30°. The optical tilt angles decrease with the increase in alkyl chain length, n.  相似文献

The reaction of 2-lithiophenyldiphenylphosphine with phosphorus trichloride afforded the new unsymmetric phosphine, dichloro(2-diphenylphosphinophenyl)phosphine (4). Condensation of 4 with (a) (2R,3R)-dimethyl tartrate or (b) (S)-binaphthol in the presence of triethylamine gave new chiral phosphine-phosphonite ligands, (2R,3R)-[2-(2′-(diphenylphosphino)phenyl)-4,5-bis(carbomethoxy)-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane] ((2R,3R)-5) and (S)-[2-(diphenylphosphino)benzene][1,1′-binaphthalen-2,2′-diyl]phosphonite] ((S)-6). The analogous reaction of 4 with (1R,2S)-ephedrine using N-methylmorpholine as the base, gave [2-(2′-(diphenylphosphino)phenyl)-3,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-1,3,2-oxazaphospholidine] (7) as a 95:5 mixture of diastereoisomers.  相似文献

(S)-2-[1-(2-Ethylbutoxy)]propanol was designed and synthesized as a chiral building block for the preparation of chiral liquid crystals. Its derivatives, the (S)-2-[1-(2-ethylbutoxy)]propyl 4-[4-(4-alkoxyphenyl)phenoyloxy]benzoates, EPmPPB (m = 8-12), were prepared and their mesomorphic phases investigated. The results showed that the chiral materials displayed enantiotropic SmA* and SmC* phases, while those with shorter alkyl chains (m = 8-10) displayed an additional unidentified SmX* phase. The switching current, spontaneous polarization, tilt angle, dielectric constant and electro-optical response for the materials in the ferroelectric SmC* phase were measured. The electro-optic responses of the materials in polyimide film-coated, homogeneously aligned cell exhibit thresholdless, V-shaped switching in the ferroelectric phase.  相似文献

For the study of the stereoselective degradation of the herbicide 2-aryloxipropionic acid dichlorprop (DCPP) in soil, a porous monolithic chiral column (100 microm id) was prepared by in situ copolymerization of glycidyl methacrylate, methyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate in the presence of formamide and 1-propanol as the porogen solvents. Subsequently, the epoxide groups at the surface of the monolith were reacted with (+)-1-(4-aminobutyl)-(5R,8S,10R)-terguride as the chiral selector. Optimum conditions for the herbicide resolution by CEC were found using mobile phases consisting of acetic acid/triethylamine mixtures in ACN-methanol (9:1 v/v). Under these conditions fully separation of DCPP enantiomers in the presence of clofibric acid (internal standard) was achieved in about 5 min. Experiments on the incubation of rac-DCPP in soil at room temperature showed the herbicide undergone during 23 incubation days to a degradation to levels 相似文献

Starting from (1R,2S)- and (1S,2R)-norephedrine, enantiomers of the corresponding 2-(3-butenyl)oxazolines were prepared in a two-step process. The cyclization of the intermediate alkenylamides with phenylselenyl bromide afforded cyclic imidates instead of the expected pyrrolidinones. The electrophile-induced cyclizations of 2-alkenyloxazolines with bromine or iodine produced diastereomeric mixtures of chiral 1,5-disubstituted pyrrolidinones. The ring closure of the all-cis (1R,2S,5R)-diastereomer 7 with NaH resulted in the tetrahydropyrrolo[2,1-b]oxazol-5-one derivative 18, which was alternatively prepared by the cyclocondensation of (1R,2S)-norephedrine with levulinic acid.  相似文献

2-Methoxy-2-(9-phenanthryl)propionic acid was synthesized as a novel chiral resolving agent. The absolute configuration of (+)-2-methoxy-2-(9-phenanthryl)propionic acid was determined to be S by using X-ray structural analysis of the (1R,2S,5R)-menthyl ester. In the crystal, the methoxyl and carbonyl groups of the ester are in a syn-periplanar position. The syn-periplanar conformations of (1R,2S,5R)-menthyl esters were also observed by the NMR analyses in CDCl3. The utility of (S)-(+)-2-methoxy-2-(9-phenanthryl)propionic acid was exemplified by the resolution of (±)-3-octanol.  相似文献

Summary Racemic methyl O-benzyllactate was reduced to the alcohol, transformed into the bromide and reacted with triethylphosphite to give the diethylphosphonate. Removal of protecting groups afforded a phosphonic acid which was purified as its cyclohexylammonium salt. (S)-Ethyl and (R)-isobutyl O-benzyllactate were reduced with LiAlD4 to the corresponding dideuteriated alcohols, which were transformed in the same way as the racemic compound into the chiral (2-hydroxy-[1,1-2H2]propyl)phosphonic acids. The optical purity of alcohols (S)- and (R)-6 b was determined by derivatisation with (+)-MTPA-Cl and1H-NMR-spectroscopy to be 98%. Exchange of the carbonyl-16-oxygen atom of 2-oxopropylphosphonate for oxygen-18 from H2 18O, reduction with NaBH4, deprotection and addition of cyclohexylamine yielded the salt (±)-18 of (2-[18O]hydroxypropyl)phosphonic acid.

Syntheses of (2S,4S)- and (2S,4R)-5-fluoroleucine, and, and of (2S,4S)-[5,5-(2)H(2)]-5-fluoroleucine, have been completed. The methodology allows these compounds to be prepared in sufficient quantities for incorporation by solid-state protein synthesis into strategic sites in proteins for folding studies. X-ray structures of the epimers and have been obtained and show the presence of conformational isomerism. The torsion angles between the F-C bond and the main chain are compared with values found in a mutant of the protein ubiquitin in which (2S,4S)-5-fluoroleucine replaces leucine residues 50 and 67 in the native protein.  相似文献

The switching current, spontaneous polarization, tilt angle, dielectric constant and electro-optical response for the materials in the ferroelectric SmC* phase were measured. (1S,5R,7R)-(−)-10,10-Dimethyl-3-ethyl-4-oxa-2-azatricyclo[5.2.1.01,5]dec-2-ene 2 was prepared in 95% yield from (1S)-1-amino-2-exo-hydroxyapocamphane 1. The chiral oxazoline could be alkylated (LDA/THF/−78°C/RX, RX=ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl iodides or benzyl bromide) to 3 in 95% yield and >95% diastereoselectivity, and the products hydrolysed to (R)-2-methylalkanoic acids 4 (43–47% yield, 93–98% e.e.).  相似文献

[Structure: see text] A concise synthesis of both enantiomers of alpha-Tfm-proline and (S)-alpha-Tfm-prolinol from ethyl trifluoropyruvate is reported. The key step is a diastereoselective allylation reaction of ethyl trifluoropyruvate and (R)-phenylglycinol-based oxazolidines or imine. The lactone obtained by cyclization of the resulting hydroxy ester proved to be a valuable intermediate for the synthesis of (S)-alpha-Tfm-allylglycine and (S)-alpha-Tfm-norvaline in enantiopure form.  相似文献

The highly diastereoselective samarium diiodide and D(2)O-promoted conjugate reduction of homochiral (E)- and (Z)-benzylidene and isobutylidene diketopiperazines (E)-5,7 and (Z)-6,8 has been demonstrated. This methodology allows the asymmetric synthesis of methyl (2S,3R)-dideuteriophenylalanine 27 in > or = 95% de and >98% ee, and (2S,3R)- or (2S,3S)-dideuterioleucine-(S)-phenylalanine dipeptides 37 and 38 in moderate de, 66% and 74% respectively.
