A series of linear-type Co(III)Pt(II)Co(III) trinuclear complexes composed of C(2)-cis(S)-[Co(aet)(2)(en)](+) (aet = 2-aminoethanethiolate) and/or Lambda(D)-trans(N)-[Co(D-pen-N,O,S)(2)](-) (D-pen = D-penicillaminate) were newly prepared, and their chiral behavior, which is markedly different from that of the corresponding Co(III)Pd(II)Co(III) complexes, is reported. The 1:1 reaction of an S-bridged Co(III)Ni(II)Co(III) trinuclear complex, [Ni[Co(aet)(2)(en)](2)]Cl(4), with K(2)[PtCl(4)] in water gave an S-bridged Co(III)Pt(II)Co(III) trinuclear complex, [Pt[Co(aet)(2)(en)](2)]Cl(4) ([1]Cl(4)), while the corresponding 1:2 reaction produced an S-bridged Co(III)Pt(II) dinuclear complex, [PtCl(2)[Co(aet)(2)(en)]]Cl ([2]Cl). Complex [1](4+) formed both racemic (DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda) and meso (DeltaLambda) forms, which were separated and optically resolved by cation-exchange column chromatography. An optically active S-bridged Co(III)Pt(II)Co(III) trinuclear complex having the pseudo LambdaLambda configuration, Lambda(D)Lambda(D)-[Pt[Co(D-pen-N,O,S)(2)](2)](0) (Lambda(D)Lambda(D)-[3]), was also prepared by reacting Lambda(D)-trans(N)-K[Co(D-pen-N,O,S)(2)] with K(2)[PtCl(4)] in a ratio of 2:1 in water. Treatment of the racemic Delta/Lambda-[2]Cl with Lambda(D)-trans(N)-K[Co(D-pen-N,O,S)(2)] in a ratio of 1:1 in water led to the formation of LambdaLambda(D)- and DeltaLambda(D)-[Pt[Co(aet)(2)(en)][Co(D-pen-N,O,S)(2)]](2+) (LambdaLambda(D)- and DeltaLambda(D)-[4](2+)) and DeltaDelta(D)-[Pt[Co(aet)(2)(en)][Co(D-pen-N,S)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]](2+) (DeltaDelta(D)-[4'](2+)), besides trace amounts of Lambda(D)Lambda(D)-[3] and DeltaDelta- and DeltaLambda-[1](4+). These Co(III)Pt(II)Co(III) complexes were characterized on the basis of electronic absorption, CD, and NMR spectra, along with single-crystal X-ray analyses for DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda-[1]Cl(4), DeltaLambda-[1]Cl(4), and DeltaLambda(D)-[4]Cl(2). Crystal data: DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda-[1]Cl(4).6H(2)O, monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 14.983(3) A, b = 19.857(4) A, c = 12.949(3) A, beta = 113.51(2) degrees, V = 3532(1) A(3), Z = 4; DeltaLambda-[1]Cl(4).3H(2)O, orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 14.872(3) A, b = 14.533(3) A, c = 14.347(2) A, V = 3100(1) A(3), Z = 4; DeltaLambda(D)-[4]Cl(2).6H(2)O, monoclinic, space group P2(1) with a = 7.3836(2) A, b = 20.214(1) A, c = 10.622(2) A, beta = 91.45(1) degrees V = 1682.0(4) A(3), Z = 2.  相似文献

Synthetic Co(III) complexes containing N5 donor sets undergo glutathionylation to generate biomimetic species of glutathionylcobalamin (GSCbl), an important form of cobalamin (Cbl) found in nature. For this study, a new Co(III) complex was synthesized derived from the polypyridyl pentadentate N5 ligand N4PyCO(2)Me (1). The compound [Co(N4PyCO(2)Me)Cl]Cl(2) (3) was characterized by X-ray crystallography, UV-vis, IR, (1)H NMR, and (13)C NMR spectroscopies and mass spectrometry (HRMS). Reaction of 3 with glutathione (GSH) in H(2)O generates the biomimetic species [Co(N4PyCO(2)Me)(SG)](2+) (5), which was generated in situ and characterized by UV-vis and (1)H NMR spectroscopies and HRMS. (1)H NMR and UV-vis spectroscopic data are consistent with ligation of the cysteine thiolate of GSH to the Co(III) center of 5, as occurs in GSCbl. Kinetic analysis indicated that the substitution of chloride by GS(-) occurs by a second-order process [k(1) = (10.1 ± 0.7) × 10(-2) M(-1) s(-1)]. The observed equilibrium constant for formation of 5 (K(obs) = 870 ± 50 M(-1)) is about 3 orders of magnitude smaller than for GSCbl. Reaction of the Co(III) complex [Co(Bn-CDPy3)Cl]Cl(2) (4) with GSH generates glutathionylated species [Co(Bn-CDPy3)(GS)](2+) (6), analogous to 5. Glutathionylation of 4 occurs at a similar rate [k(2) = (8.4 ± 0.5) × 10(-2) M(-1) s(-1)], and the observed equilibrium constant (K(obs) = 740 ± 47 M(-1)) is slightly smaller than for 5. Glutathionylation showed a significant pH dependence, where rates increased with pH. Taken together, these results suggest that glutathionylation is a general reaction for Co(III) complexes related to Cbl.  相似文献

Thermolysis of [Ru(PPh(3))(dppe)(CO)HCl] (dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) with the N-heterocyclic carbenes I(i)Pr(2)Me(2) (1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethyl-imidazol-2-ylidene), IEt(2)Me(2) (1,3-diethyl-4,5-dimethyl-imidazol-2-ylidene) or ICy (1,3-dicyclohexylimidazol-2-ylidene) gave the cyclometallated carbene complexes [Ru(NHC)'(dppe)(CO)H] (NHC = I(i)Pr(2)Me(2), 4; IEt(2)Me(2), 5; ICy, 6). Dissolution of 4 in CH(2)Cl(2) or CHCl(3) gave the trans-Cl-Ru-P complex [Ru(I(i)Pr(2)Me(2))'(dppe)(CO)Cl] (7), which converted over hours at room temperature to the trans-Cl-Ru-CO isomer 7'. Chloride abstraction from 7 by NaBPh(4) under an atmosphere of H(2) produced the cationic mono-hydride complex [Ru(I(i)Pr(2)Me(2))(dppe)(CO)H][BPh(4)] (9), which could also be formed by protonating 4 with 1 eq HBF(4)·OEt(2). Treatment of 4 with excess HBF(4)·OEt(2) followed by extraction into MeCN produced the dicationic acetonitrile complex [Ru(I(i)Pr(2)Me(2))(dppe)(CO)(NCMe)(2)][BF(4)](2) (10). The structures of 6, 7, 7' and 10 have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Isolation of the free bicyclic tetraamine, [3(5)]adamanzane.H(2)O (1,5,9,13-tetraazabicyclo[7.7.3]nonadecane.H(2)O), is reported along with the synthesis and characterization of a copper(II) complex of the smaller macrocycle [(2.3)(2).2(1)]adamanzane (1,5,9,12-tetraazabicyclo[7.5.2]hexadecane) and of three cobalt(II), four nickel(II), one copper(II), and two zinc(II) complexes with [3(5)]adamanzane. For nine of these compounds (2-8, 10b, and 12) the single-crystal X-ray structures were determined. The coordination geometry around the metal ion is square pyramidal in [Cu([(2.3)(2).2(1)]adz)Br]ClO(4) (2) and trigonal bipyramidal in the isostructural structures [Cu([3(5)]adz)Br]Br (3), [Ni([3(5)]adz)Cl]Cl (5), [Ni([3(5)]adz)Br]Br (6), and [Co([3(5)]adz)Cl]Cl (8). In [Ni([3(5)]adz)(NO(3))]NO(3) (4) and [Ni([3(5)]adz)(ClO(4))]ClO(4) (7) the coordination geometry around nickel(II) is a distorted octahedron with the inorganic ligands at cis positions. The coordination polyhedron around the metal ion in [Co([3(5)]adz)][ZnCl(4)] (10b) and [Zn([3(5)]adz)][ZnCl(4)] (12) is a slightly distorted tetrahedron. Anation equilibrium constants were determined spectrophotometrically for complexes 2-6 at 25 and 40 degrees C and fall in the region 2-10 M(-1) for the halide complexes and 30-65 M(-1) for the nickel(II) nitrate complex (4). Rate constants for the dissociation of the macrocyclic ligand from the metal ions in 5 M HCl were determined for complexes 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 12. The reaction rates vary from half-lives at 40 degrees C of 14 min for the dissociation of the Zn([3(5)]adz)(2+) complex (12) to 14-15 months for the Ni([3(5)]adz)Cl(+) ion (5).  相似文献

The sequential conversion of [OsBr(cod)Cp*] (9) to [OsBr(dppe)Cp*] (10), [Os([=C=CH2)(dppe)Cp*]PF6 ([11]PF6), [Os(C triple bond CH)(dppe)Cp*] (12), [{Os(dppe)Cp*}2{mu-(=C=CH-CH=C=)}][PF6]2 ([13](PF6)2) and finally [{Os(dppe)Cp*}(2)(mu-C triple bond CC triple bond C)] (14) has been used to make the third member of the triad [{M(dppe)Cp*}2(mu-C triple bond CC triple bond C)] (M = Fe, Ru, Os). The molecular structures of []PF6, 12 and 14, together with those of the related osmium complexes [Os(NCMe)(dppe)Cp*]PF6 ([15]PF6) and [Os(C triple bond CPh)(dppe)Cp*] (16), have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Comparison of the redox properties of 14 with those of its iron and ruthenium congeners shows that the first oxidation potential E1 varies as: Fe approximately Os < Ru. Whereas the Fe complex has been shown to undergo three sequential 1-electron oxidation processes within conventional electrochemical solvent windows, the Ru and Os compounds undergo no fewer than four sequential oxidation events giving rise to a five-membered series of redox related complexes [{M(dppe)Cp*}2(mu-C4)]n+ (n = 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4), the osmium derivatives being obtained at considerably lower potentials than the ruthenium analogues. These results are complimented by DFT and DT DFT calculations.  相似文献

We report a high yield, two-step synthesis of fac-[Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6 from the known complex [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)Cl]PF6 (p-cym = eta(6)-p-cymene). [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)NO2]PF6 is prepared by reacting [(p-cymene)Ru(bpy)Cl]PF6 with AgNO3/KNO2 or AgNO2. The 15NO2 analogue is prepared using K15NO2. Displacement of p-cymene from [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)NO2]PF6 by acetonitrile gives [Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6. The new complexes [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)NO2]PF6 and fac-[Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6 have been fully characterized by 1H and 15N NMR, IR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal structure determination. Reaction of [Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6 with the appropriate ligands gives the new complexes [Ru(bpy)(Tp)NO2] (Tp = HB(pz)3-, pz = 1-pyrazolyl), [Ru(bpy)(Tpm)NO2]PF6 (Tpm = HC(pz)3), and the previously prepared [Ru(bpy)(trpy)NO2]PF6 (trpy = 2,2',6',2' '-terpyridine). Reaction of the nitro complexes with HPF6 gives the new nitrosyl complexes [Ru(bpy)TpNO][PF6]2 and [Ru(bpy)(Tpm)NO][PF6]3. All complexes were prepared with 15N-labeled nitro or nitrosyl groups. The nitro and nitrosyl complexes were characterized by 1H and 15N NMR and IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and single-crystal structure determination for [Ru(bpy)TpNO][PF6]2. For the nitro complexes, a linear correlation is observed between the nitro 15N NMR chemical shift and 1/nu(asym), where nu(asym) is the asymmetric stretching frequency of the nitro group.  相似文献

The labile nature of the coordinated water ligands in the organometallic aqua complex [Ru(dppe)(CO)(H(2)O)(3)][OTf](2) (1) (dppe = Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2); OTf = OSO(2)CF(3)) has been investigated through substitution reactions with a range of incoming ligands. Dissolution of 1 in acetonitrile or dimethyl sulfoxide results in the facile displacement of all three waters to give [Ru(dppe)(CO)(CH(3)CN)(3)][OTf](2) (2) and [Ru(dppe)(CO)(DMSO)(3)][OTf](2) (3), respectively. Similarly, 1 reacts with Me(3)CNC to afford [Ru(dppe)(CO)(CNCMe(3))(3)][OTf](2) (4). Addition of 1 equiv of 2,2'-bipyridyl (bpy) or 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridyl (Me(2)bpy) to acetone/water solutions of 1 initially yields [Ru(dppe)(CO)(H(2)O)(bpy)][OTf](2) (5a) and [Ru(dppe)(CO)(H(2)O)(Me(2)bpy)][OTf](2) (6a), in which the coordinated water lies trans to CO. Compounds 5a and 6a rapidly rearrange to isomeric species (5b, 6b) in which the ligated water is trans to dppe. Further reactivity has been demonstrated for 6b, which, upon dissolution in CDCl(3), loses water and coordinates a triflate anion to afford [Ru(dppe)(CO)(OTf)(Me(2)bpy)][OTf] (7). Reaction of 1 with CH(3)CH(2)CH(2)SH gives the dinuclear bridging thiolate complex [[(dppe)Ru(CO)](2)(mu-SCH(2)CH(2)CH(3))(3)][OTf] (8). The reaction of 1 with CO in acetone/water is slow and yields the cationic hydride complex [Ru(dppe)(CO)(3)H][OTf] (9) via a water gas shift reaction. Moreover, the same mechanism can also be used to account for the previously reported synthesis of 1 upon reaction of Ru(dppe)(CO)(2)(OTf)(2) with water (Organometallics 1999, 18, 4068).  相似文献

A novel heterobimetallic alkynyl-bridged complex, [Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(C[triple bond]C[bond]C(6)H(4)[bond]C[triple bond]C)Fe(C(5)Me(5))(dppe)], 1, and its oxidized species, [Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(C[triple bond]C[bond]C(6)H(4)[bond]C[triple bond]C)Fe(C(5)Me(5))(dppe)][PF(6)], 2, have been synthesized and their X-ray crystal structures determined. A related vinylidene complex, [Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(C[triple bond]C[bond]C(6)H(4)[bond](H)C[double bond]C)Fe(C(5)Me(5))(dppe)][PF(6)], 3, has also been synthesized and characterized. The cyclic voltammogram of 1 shows a quasireversible reduction couple at -1.49 V (vs SCE), a fully reversible oxidation at -0.19 V, and a quasireversible oxidation at +0.88 V. In accord with the electrochemical results, density-functional theory calculations on the hydrogen-substituted model complex Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(C[triple bond]C[bond]C(6)H(4)[bond]C[triple bond]C)Fe(C(5)H(5))(dHpe) (Cp = C(5)H(5), dHpe = H(2)P[bond](CH(2))(2)[bond]PH(2)) (1-H) show that the LUMO is mainly bipyridine ligand pi* in character while the HOMO is largely iron(II) d orbital in character. The electronic absorption spectrum of 1 shows low-energy absorption at 390 nm with a 420 nm shoulder in CH(2)Cl(2), while that of 2 exhibits less intense low-energy bands at 432 and 474 nm and additional low-energy bands in the NIR at ca. 830, 1389, and 1773 nm. Unlike the related luminescent rhenium(I)-alkynyl complex [Re(bpy)(CO)(3)(C[triple bond]C[bond]C(6)H(4)[bond]C[triple bond]C[bond]H)], 4, complex 1 is found to be nonemissive, and such a phenomenon is attributed to an intramolecular quenching of the emissive d pi(Re) --> pi*(bpy) (3)MLCT state by the low-lying MLCT and LF excited states of the iron moiety. Interestingly, switching on of the luminescence property derived from the d pi(Re) --> pi*(bpy) (3)MLCT state can be demonstrated in the oxidized species 2 and the related vinylidene analogue 3 due to the absence of the quenching pathway.  相似文献

The synthesis of a number of nickel(II) complexes containing the didentate phosphane ligand 1,2-bis(di(o-methoxyphenyl)phosphino)ethane (o-MeO-dppe) is reported. Two types of complexes have been synthesized, i.e., the mono(chelate) complex (1) of the general formula [Ni(o-MeO-dppe)X2] (where X = Cl, Br or I) and the bis(chelate) complex (2) of the general formula [Ni(o-MeO-dppe)2]Y2 (where Y = PF6 or trifluoroacetate (TFA)). These complexes have been characterized using electronic absorption and NMR spectroscopy. The structures of the mono(chelate) complex [Ni(o-MeO-dppe)I2] (1c) and of the bis(chelate) complex [Ni(o-MeO-dppe)2](PF6)2 (2e) have been determined by X-ray crystallography. [Ni(o-MeO-dppe)I2] crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with Z = 4, a = 12.1309(1) A, b = 16.5759(3) A, c = 17.6474(2) A, beta = 119.3250(10) degrees. [Ni(o-MeO-dppe)2](PF6)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with Z = 4, a = 22.5326(3) A, b = 13.6794(2) A, c = 21.7134(3) A, beta = 107.1745(7) degrees. In both structures the nickel ion is in a square-planar geometry with a NiP2I2 and NiP4 chromophore, respectively. Using 1H and 31P[1H] NMR spectroscopy the behavior of the complexes in various solvents has been studied. It appears that in solution these nickel complexes are involved in an autoionization equilibrium: 2[Ni(o-MeO-dppe)X2] <==>[Ni(o-MeO-dppe)2](2+) + ["NiX(4)"](2-). The ionized complex (3) consists of a cationic unit in which a nickel atom is surrounded by two didentate phosphane ligands, and an anionic unit that stoichiometrically consists of a nickel atom and four anions. The position of the autoionization equilibrium is highly dependent on the anion and the solvent used. In a polar solvent in combination with weakly coordinating anions only the ionized complex is observed, whereas in an apolar solvent in combination with coordinating anions only the mono(chelate) complex occurs. A comparison of the behavior of o-MeO-dppe with its unsubstituted analogue dppe in combination with nickel(II) acetate using 31P[1H] NMR spectroscopy shows that the latter is more readily oxidized.  相似文献

The self-assembly reactions of MIICl2 (M = Ni, Co) with the flexible bix ligand [bix = 1,4-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene] yielded a 2D network [NiII(bix)2Cl2]n 1 and a 1D chain [CoII(bix)Cl2]n 2. Their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Complex 1 characters a two-dimensional grid-type structure and crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 7.7231(7), b = 12.7787(9), c = 13.9374(13) , β = 105.419(4)o, C28H28Cl2N8Ni, Mr = 606.19, Ζ = 2, V = 1326.0(2) 3, Dc = 1.518 g/cm3, μ = 0.969 mm-1, F(000) = 628, R = 0.0429 and wR = 0.0783 for 2503 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Compound 2 is a one-dimensional chain and crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 11.3696(6), b = 10.2128(6), c = 14.4943(9) , C14H14Cl2CoN4, Mr = 368.12, Z = 4, V = 1683.01(17) 3, Dc = 1.453 g/cm3, μ = 1.334 mm-1, F(000) = 748, R = 0.0317 and wR = 0.0800 for 1778 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Magnetic properties of the title complexes were also investigated.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of a pyridazine-containing two-armed grid ligand L2 (prepared from one equivalent of 3,6-diformylpyridazine and two equivalents of p-anisidine) and the resulting transition metal (Zn, Cu, Ni, Co, Fe, Mn) complexes (1-9) are reported. Single-crystal X-ray structure determinations revealed that the copper(I) complex had self-assembled as a [2 x 2] grid, [Cu(I) (4)(L2)(4)][PF(6)](4).(CH(3)CN)(H(2)O)(CH(3)CH(2)OCH(2)CH(3))(0.25) (2.(CH(3)CN)(H(2)O)(CH(3)CH(2)OCH(2)CH(3))(0.25)), whereas the [Zn(2)(L2)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)(H(2)O)(2)][ClO(4)](4).CH(3)CN (1.CH(3)CN), [Ni(II) (2)(L2)(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)][BF(4)](4).(CH(3)CH(2)OCH(2)CH(3))(0.25) (5 a.(CH(3)CH(2)OCH(2)CH(3))(0.25)) and [Co(II) (2)(L2)(2)(H(2)O)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][ClO(4)](4).(H(2)O)(CH(3)CN)(0.5) (6 a.(H(2)O)(CH(3)CN)(0.5)) complexes adopt a side-by-side architecture; iron(II) forms a monometallic cation binding three L2 ligands, [Fe(II)(L2)(3)][Fe(III)Cl(3)OCl(3)Fe(III)].CH(3)CN (7.CH(3)CN). A more soluble salt of the cation of 7, the diamagnetic complex [Fe(II)(L2)(3)][BF(4)](2).2 H(2)O (8), was prepared, as well as two derivatives of 2, [Cu(I) (2)(L2)(2)(NCS)(2)].H(2)O (3) and [Cu(I) (2)(L2)(NCS)(2)] (4). The manganese complex, [Mn(II) (2)(L2)(2)Cl(4)].3 H(2)O (9), was not structurally characterised, but is proposed to adopt a side-by-side architecture. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility studies yielded small negative J values for the side-by-side complexes: J=-21.6 cm(-1) and g=2.17 for S=1 dinickel(II) complex [Ni(II) (2)(L2)(2)(H(2)O)(4)][BF(4)](4) (5 b) (fraction monomer 0.02); J=-7.6 cm(-1) and g=2.44 for S= 3/2 dicobalt(II) complex [Co(II) (2)(L2)(2)(H(2)O)(4)][ClO(4)](4) (6 b) (fraction monomer 0.02); J=-3.2 cm(-1) and g=1.95 for S= 5/2 dimanganese(II) complex 9 (fraction monomer 0.02). The double salt, mixed valent iron complex 7.H(2)O gave J=-75 cm(-1) and g=1.81 for the S= 5/2 diiron(III) anion (fraction monomer=0.025). These parameters are lower than normal for Fe(III)OFe(III) species because of fitting of superimposed monomer and dimer susceptibilities arising from trace impurities. The iron(II) centre in 7.H(2)O is low spin and hence diamagnetic, a fact confirmed by the preparation and characterisation of the simple diamagnetic iron(II) complex 8. M?ssbauer measurements at 77 K confirmed that there are two iron sites in 7.H(2)O, a low-spin iron(II) site and a high-spin diiron(III) site. A full electrochemical investigation was undertaken for complexes 1, 2, 5 b, 6 b and 8 and this showed that multiple redox processes are a feature of all of them.  相似文献

The unprecedented nickel(III) thiolate [Ni (III)(OR)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) [R = Ph ( 1), Me ( 3)] containing the terminal Ni (III)-OR bond, characterized by UV-vis, electron paramagnetic resonance, cyclic voltammetry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction, were isolated from the reaction of [Ni (III)(Cl)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) with 3 equiv of [Na][OPh] in tetrahydrofuran (THF)-CH 3CN and the reaction of complex 1 with 1 equiv of [Bu 4N][OMe] in THF-CH 3OH, respectively. Interestingly, the addition of complex 1 into the THF-CH 3OH solution of [Me 4N][OH] also yielded complex 3. In contrast to the inertness of complex [Ni (III)(Cl)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) toward 1 equiv of [Na][OPh], the addition of 1 equiv of [Na][OMe] into a THF-CH 3CN solution of [Ni (III)(Cl)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) yielded the known [Ni (III)(CH 2CN)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) ( 4). At 77 K, complexes 1 and 3 exhibit a rhombic signal with g values of 2.31, 2.09, and 2.00 and of 2.28, 2.04, and 2.00, respectively, the characteristic g values of the known trigonal-bipyramidal Ni (III) [Ni (III)(L)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) (L = SePh, SEt, Cl) complexes. Compared to complexes [Ni (III)(EPh)(P(C 6H 3-3-SiMe 3-2-S) 3)] (-) [E = S ( 2), Se] dominated by one intense absorption band at 592 and 590 nm, respectively, the electronic spectrum of complex 1 coordinated by the less electron-donating phenoxide ligand displays a red shift to 603 nm. In a comparison of the Ni (III)-OMe bond length of 1.885(2) A found in complex 3, the longer Ni (III)-OPh bond distance of 1.910(3) A found in complex 1 may be attributed to the absence of sigma and pi donation from the [OPh]-coordinated ligand to the Ni (III) center.  相似文献

The kinetics of the equilibrium reaction between [Ni(SC(6)H(4)R-4)(2)(dppe)] (R= MeO, Me, H, Cl, or NO(2); dppe = Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2)) and mixtures of [lutH](+) and lut (lut = 2,6-dimethylpyridine) in MeCN to form [Ni(SHC(6)H(4)R-4)(SC(6)H(4)R-4)(dppe)](+) have been studied using stopped-flow spectrophotometry. The kinetics for the reactions with R = MeO, Me, H, or Cl are consistent with a single-step equilibrium reaction. Investigation of the temperature dependence of the reactions shows that DeltaG = 13.6 +/- 0.3 kcal mol(-)(1) for all the derivatives but the values of DeltaH and DeltaS vary with R (R = MeO, DeltaH() = 8.5 kcal mol(-)(1), DeltaS = -16 cal K(-)(1) mol(-)(1); R = Me, DeltaH() = 10.8 kcal mol(-)(1), DeltaS = -9.5 cal K(-)(1) mol(-)(1); R = Cl, DeltaH = 23.7 kcal mol(-)(1), DeltaS = +33 cal K(-)(1) mol(-)(1)). With [Ni(SC(6)H(4)NO(2)-4)(2)(dppe)] a more complicated rate law is observed consistent with a mechanism in which initial hydrogen-bonding of [lutH](+) to the complex precedes intramolecular proton transfer. It seems likely that all the derivatives operate by this mechanism, but only with R = NO(2) (the most electron-withdrawing substituent) does the intramolecular proton transfer step become sufficiently slow to result in the change in kinetics. Studies with [lutD](+) show that the rates of proton transfer to [Ni(SC(6)H(4)R-4)(2)(dppe)] (R = Me or Cl) are associated with negligible kinetic isotope effect. The possible reasons for this are discussed. The rates of proton transfer to [Ni(SC(6)H(4)R-4)(2)(dppe)] vary with the 4-R-substituent, and the Hammett plot is markedly nonlinear. This unusual behavior is attributable to the electronic influence of R which affects the electron density at the sulfur.  相似文献

The reaction of 2,9-di(pyrid-2'-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline (dpp) with [RuCl(3)·3H(2)O] or [Ru(DMSO)(4)Cl(2)] provides the reagent trans-[Ru(II)(dpp)Cl(2)] in yields of 98 and 89%, respectively. This reagent reacts with monodentate ligands L to replace the two axial chlorides, affording reasonable yields of a ruthenium(II) complex with dpp bound tetradentate in the equatorial plane. The photophysical and electrochemical properties of the tetradentate complexes are strongly influenced by the axial ligands with electron-donating character to stabilize the ruthenium(III) state, shifting the metal-to-ligand charge-transfer absorption to lower energy and decreasing the oxidation potential. When the precursor trans-[Ru(II)(dpp)Cl(2)] reacts with a bidentate (2,2'-bipyridine), tridentate (2,2';6,2'-terpyridine), or tetradentate (itself) ligand, a peripheral pyridine on dpp is displaced such that dpp binds as a tridentate. This situation is illustrated by an X-ray analysis of [Ru(dpp)(bpy)Cl](PF(6)).  相似文献

Reaction between the Os(VI)-nitrido complex, trans-[OsVI(tpy)(Cl)2(N)]PF6 (tpy = 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine), and ammonia (NH3) under N2 in dry CH3CN gives the mu-1,3-azido bridged [OsII-N3-OsII]- dimer, trans,trans-NH4[(tpy)(Cl)2OsII(N3)OsII(Cl)2(tpy)]. It undergoes air oxidation to give the [OsIII-N3-OsIII]+ analogue, trans,trans-[(tpy)(Cl)2OsIII(N3)OsIII(Cl)2(tpy)]PF6 ([OsIII-N3-OsIII]PF6), which has been isolated and characterized. The structural formulation as a mu-1,3-N3 bridged complex has been established by infrared and 15N NMR measurements on the 15N-labeled forms, [OsIII-14N=15N=14N-OsIII]+, [OsIII-15N=14N=15N-OsIII]+, and [OsIII-15N=15N=15N-OsIII]+. Cyclic voltammetric measurements in 0.2 M Bu4NPF6/CH3CN reveal the existence of five chemically reversible waves from 1.40 to -0.12 V for couples ranging from OsV-OsIV/OsIV-OsIV to OsIII-OsII/OsII-OsII. DeltaE1/2 values for couples adjacent to the three mixed-valence forms are 0.19 V for OsIII-OsII, 0.52 V for OsIV-OsIII, and >0.71 V for OsV-OsIV. In CH3CN at 60 degrees C, [OsIII-N3-OsIII]+ undergoes a [2 + 3] cycloaddition with CH3CN at the mu-N3- bridge followed by a solvolysis to give trans-[OsIII(tpy)(Cl)2(5-MeCN4)] and trans-[OsIII(tpy)(Cl)2(NCCH3)]PF6.  相似文献

Reactions of a gold(i) thiolate complex [Au(Tab)(2)](2)(PF(6))(2) (Tab = 4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiolate) with equimolar 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphine)ethane (dppe), 1,3-bis-(diphenylphosphine)propane (dppp) or 1,4-bis-(diphenylphosphine)butane (dppb) in MeOH-DMF-CH(2)Cl(2) gave rise to three polymeric complexes [Au(2)(Tab)(2)(dppe)](2)(PF(6))(4)·2MeOH (1·2MeOH), [Au(2)(Tab)(2)(dppp)]Cl(2)·0.5MeOH·4H(2)O (2·0.5MeOH·4H(2)O), and [Au(4)(μ-Tab)(2)(Tab)(2)(dppb)](PF(6))(4)·4DMF (3·4DMF), respectively. Analogous reaction of 1 with dppb in DMF/C(2)H(4)Cl(2) produced one tetranuclear complex [Au(2)(μ-Tab)(Tab)(2)](2)Cl(4)·2DMF·4H(2)O (4·2DMF·4H(2)O). Complexes 1-4 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-vis spectra, (1)H and (31)P{(1)H} NMR and single crystal X-ray analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 consist of [Au(Tab)](2) dimeric fragments that are bridged by dppe or dppp ligands to form a 1D linear chain extending along the a axis. For 3, each [Au(4)(Tab)(2)(μ-Tab)(2)] fragment is linked by a pair of dppb ligands to afford another 1D chain extending along the c axis. For 4, the four [Au(Tab)](+) fragments are linked by two Au-Au bonds and two doubly bridging Tab ligands to form a {[Au(Tab)](4)(μ-Tab)(2)} chair-like cyclohexane structure. Hydrogen-bonding interactions in 2 and 4 lead to the formation of interesting 2D hydrogen-bonded networks. The luminescent properties of 1-4 in solid state were also investigated.  相似文献

UV-visible and Raman spectroscopies as well as electrochemical techniques have been used to characterize cis- and trans-[Co(III)(en)2Cl2]Cl (en=ethylenediamine) complexes and the gamma-alumina-supported cis-Co((III)) complex. It is shown that the electrochemical reduction of these complexes occurs according to a multistage mechanism involving two electrochemical steps, with the formation of a dimer that was characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy (intervalence band at 670 nm). The apparent standard redox potential for each step has been determined, and experimental results reveal that cis and trans complexes present similar electrochemical characteristics. It is also shown that the deposition of trans-[Co(III)(en)2Cl2]+ on gamma-alumina leads to an inner-sphere complex (ISC) in a cis configuration in which Cl- ligands are substituted by OH or O- surface groups of alumina. These changes in the coordination sphere of the complex induce a substantial decrease of its apparent redox potential since it is -0.63 V/SCE (saturated calomel electrode) for the gamma-alumina-supported cis-Co(III) complex, whereas values of -0.17 and -0.35 V/SCE were determined in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) for the trans and cis precursor complexes, respectively.  相似文献

The non-symmetric imide ligand Hpypzca (N-(2-pyrazylcarbonyl)-2-pyridinecarboxamide) has been deliberately synthesised and used to produce nine first row transition metal complexes: [M(II)(pypzca)(2)], M = Zn, Cu, Ni, Co, Fe; [M(III)(pypzca)(2)]Y, M = Co and Y = BF(4), M = Fe and Y = ClO(4); [Cu(II)(pypzca)(H(2)O)(2)]BF(4), [Mn(II)(pypzca)(Cl)(2)]HNEt(3). These are the first deliberately prepared complexes of a non-symmetric imide ligand. X-ray crystal structures of [Cu(II)(pypzca)(2)]·H(2)O, [Co(II)(pypzca)(2)], [Co(III)(pypzca)(2)]BF(4), [Cu(II)(pypzca)(H(2)O)(2)]BF(4)·H(2)O and [Mn(II)(pypzca)Cl(2)]HNEt(3) show that each of the (pypzca)(-) ligands binds in a meridional fashion via the N(3) donors. In the first three complexes, two such ligands are bound such that the 'spare' pyrazine nitrogen atoms are positioned approximately orthogonally to one another and also to the imide oxygen atoms. In MeCN the [M(II/III)(pypzca)(2)](0/+) complexes, where M = Ni, Co or Fe, exhibit one reversible metal based M(II/III) process and two distinct, quasi-reversible ligand based reduction processes, the latter also observed for M(II) = Zn. [Mn(II)(pypzca)Cl(2)]HNEt(3) displays a quasi-reversible oxidation process in MeCN, along with several irreversible processes. Both copper(II) complexes show only irreversible processes. Variable temperature magnetic measurements show that [Fe(III)(pypzca)(2)]ClO(4) undergoes a gradual spin crossover from partially high spin at 298 K (3.00 BM) to fully low spin at 2 K (1.96 BM), and that [Co(II)(pypzca)(2)] remains high spin from 298 to 4 K. All of the complexes are weakly coloured, other than [Fe(II)(pypzca)(2)] which is dark purple and absorbs strongly in the visible region.  相似文献

A new set of Ru-Cl complexes containing either the pinene[5,6]bpea ligand (L1) or the C3 symmetric pinene[4,5]tpmOMe (L2) tridentate ligand in combination with the bidentate (B) 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) or 1,2-diphenylphosphinoethane (dppe) with general formula [RuCl(L1 or L2)(B)](+) have been prepared and thoroughly characterized. In the solid state, X-ray diffraction analysis techniques have been used. In solution, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy have been employed. DFT calculations have been also performed on these complexes and their achiral analogues previously reported in our group, to interpret and complement experimental results. Whereas isomerically pure complexes ([Ru(II)Cl(L2)(bpy)](BF4), 5 and [Ru(II)Cl(L2)(dppe)](BF4), 6) are obtained when starting from the highly symmetric [Ru(III)Cl3(L2)], 2, isomeric mixtures of cis, fac-[Ru(II)Cl(L1)(bpy)](BF4) (3b/3b'), trans,fac- (3a) and up/down,mer- (3c, 3d) isomers are formed when bpy is added to the less symmetric [Ru(III)Cl3(L1)], 1, in contrast to the case of the bulky dppe ligand that, upon coordination to 1, leads to the trans,fac-[Ru(II)Cl(L1)(dppe)](BF4) (4a) complex as a sole isomer due to steric factors.  相似文献

Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and UO(2)(II) complexes with the ligand 2-tert-butylaminomethylpyridine-6-carboxylic acid methylester (HL(2)) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic moment, thermal analysis and spectral data. 1:1 M:HL(2) complexes, with the general formula [M(HL(2))X(2)].nH(2)O (where M = Co(II) (X = Cl, n = 0), Ni(II) (X = Cl, n = 3), Cu(II) (grey colour, X = AcO, n = 1), Cu(II) (yellow colour, X = Cl, n = 0) and Zn(II) (X = Br, n = 0). In addition, the Fe(III) and UO(2)(II) complexes of the type 1:2 M:HL(2) and with the formulae [Fe(L(2))(2)]Cl and [UO(2)(HL(2))(2)](NO(3))(2) are prepared. From the IR data, it is seen that HL(2) ligand behaves as a terdentate ligand coordinated to the metal ions via the pyridyl N, carboxylate O and protonated NH group; except the Fe(III) complex, it coordinates via the deprotonated NH group. This is supported by the molar conductance data, which show that all the complexes are non-electrolytes, while the Fe(III) and UO(2)(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes. IR and H1-NMR spectral studies suggest a similar behaviour of the Zn(II) complex in solid and solution states. From the solid reflectance spectral data and magnetic moment measurements, the complexes have a trigonal bipyramidal (Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes) and octahedral (Fe(III), UO(2)(II) complexes) geometrical structures. The thermal behaviour of the complexes is studied and the different dynamic parameters are calculated applying Coats-Redfern equation.  相似文献
