Two classes of pincer‐type PtII complexes containing tridentate N‐donor ligands ( 1 – 8 ) or C‐deprotonated N^C^N ligands derived from 1,3‐di(2‐pyridyl)benzene ( 10 – 13 ) and auxiliary N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand were synthesized. [Pt(trpy)(NHC)]2+ complexes 1 – 5 display green phosphorescence in CH2Cl2 (Φ: 1.1–5.3 %; τ: 0.3–1.0 μs) at room temperature. Moderate‐to‐intense emissions are observed for 1 – 7 in glassy solutions at 77 K and for 1 – 6 in the solid state. The [Pt(N^C^N)(NHC)]+ complexes 10 – 13 display strong green phosphorescence with quantum yields up to 65 % in CHCl3. The reactions of 1 with a wide variety of anions were examined in various solvents. The tridentate N‐donor ligand of 1 undergoes displacement reaction with CN? in protic solvents. Similar displacement of the N^C^N ligand by CN? has been observed for 10 , leading to a luminescence “switch‐off” response. The water‐soluble 7 containing anthracenyl‐functionalized NHC ligand acts as a light “switch‐on” sensor for the detection of CN? ion with high selectivity. The in vitro cytotoxicity of the PtII complexes towards HeLa cells has been evaluated. Complex 12 showed high cytotoxicity with IC50 value of 0.46 μM , whereas 1 – 4 and 6 – 8 are less cytotoxic. The cellular localization of the strongly luminescent complex 12 traced by using emission microscopy revealed that it mainly localizes in the cytoplasmic structures rather than in the nucleus. This complex can induce mitochondria dysfunction and subsequent cell death.  相似文献

Neutral pentafluorophenyl benzoquinolinyl PtII [Pt(bzq)(HC^N−κN)(C6F5)] ( 1 a – g ) complexes, bearing nonmetalated N-heterocyclic HC^N ligands [HC^N=2,5-diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole (Hoxd) a , 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine (dfppy) b , 2-phenylbenzo[d]thiazole (pbt) c , 2-(4-bromophenyl)benzo[d]thiazole (Br-pbt) d , 2-phenylquinoline (pq) e , 2-thienylpyridine (thpy) f , 1-(2-pyridyl)pyrene (pypy) g ], and heteroleptic bis(cyclometalated) PtIV fac-[Pt(bzq)(C^N)(C6F5)Cl] ( 2 b – g , bzq: benzo[h]quinolinyl) derivatives, generated by oxidation of 1 b – g with PhICl2, are reported. The oxidation reaction of 1 a evolved with formation of the bimetallic PtIV complex syn-[Pt(bzq)(C6F5)Cl(μ-OH)]2 3 . The crystal structures of 1 a,d,f , 2 b,d,e and 3 were corroborated by X-ray crystallography. A comparative study of the absorption and photoluminescence properties of the two series of complexes PtII ( 1 ) and PtIV ( 2 ), supported by time-dependent DFT calculations (TD-DFT), is presented. The low-lying transitions (absorption and emission) of PtII complexes 1 a – e [solution and polystyrene (PS) films] were assigned to the IL/MLCT mixture located on the cyclometalated Pt(bzq) unit, with minor IL′/ML′CT/LL′CT contributions involving the non-metalated ligand. Complex 1 g , bearing the more delocalized pyridyl pyrene (Hpypy) as an ancillary ligand, shows dual 1ππ* and 3ππ* (Hpypy) emission in fluid CH2Cl2 and dual 3IL/3MLCT [Pt(bzq)] and [3ππ*, Hpypy] phosphorescence at 77 K. Upon oxidation, PtIV complexes 2 b – f display (solution, PS) ligand-based phosphorescence that arises from the bzq in 2 b (3LC) or from the second C^N ligand in 2 c – f (3L′C) with some 3LL′CT in 2 f . Despite metalation of the pyrenyl group, 2 g exhibits dual emission 1ππ*/3ππ* located on the pypy chromophore.  相似文献

Two PtIV and two PtII complexes containing a 2,2′‐bipyridine ligand were treated with a short DNA oligonucleotide under light irradiation at 37 °C or in the dark at 37 and 50 °C. Photolysis and thermolysis of the PtIV complexes led to spontaneous reduction of the PtIV to the corresponding PtII complexes and to binding of PtII 2,2′‐bipyridine complexes to N7 of guanine. When the reduction product was [Pt(bpy)Cl2], formation of bis‐oligonucleotide adducts was observed, whereas [Pt(bpy)(MeNH2)Cl]+ gave monoadducts, with chloride ligands substituted in both cases. Neither in the dark nor under light irradiation was the reductive elimination process of these PtIV complexes accompanied by oxidative DNA damage. This work raises the question of the stability of photoactivatable PtIV complexes toward moderate heating conditions.  相似文献

We report the self‐assembly of a new family of hydrophobic, bis(pyridyl) PtII complexes featuring an extended oligophenyleneethynylene‐derived π‐surface appended with six long (dodecyloxy ( 2 )) or short (methoxy ( 3 )) side groups. Complex 2 , containing dodecyloxy chains, forms fibrous assemblies with a slipped arrangement of the monomer units (dPt???Pt≈14 Å) in both nonpolar solvents and the solid state. Dispersion‐corrected PM6 calculations suggest that this organization is driven by cooperative π–π, C?H???Cl and π–Pt interactions, which is supported by EXAFS and 2D NMR spectroscopic analysis. In contrast, nearly parallel π‐stacks (dPt???Pt≈4.4 Å) stabilized by multiple π–π and C?H???Cl contacts are obtained in the crystalline state for 3 lacking long side chains, as shown by X‐ray analysis and PM6 calculations. Our results reveal not only the key role of alkyl chain length in controlling self‐assembly modes but also show the relevance of Pt‐bound chlorine ligands as new supramolecular synthons.  相似文献

We prepared enantiomers of chiral PtII complexes, Pt(pppb)Cl and Pt(pppb)CN (pppbH=1‐pyridyl‐3‐(4,5‐pinenopyridyl)benzene), and measured their CPL (circularly polarized luminescence) spectra for excimer and trimer emission. The contribution of the pinene moiety to CPL was considerably low for the π–π* emission of the monomer but large for MMLCT (metal‐metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer) of the excimer and trimer which had a helical structure induced in a face‐to‐face stacking fashion. The trimer CPL for (+)‐Pt(pppb)Cl was larger in intensity than that of excimer CPL; on the other hand, that for (+)‐Pt(pppb)CN was opposite in sign compared with that of excimer CPL. We conclude that differences in the excited‐state structure of the aggregate between Pt(pppb)Cl and Pt(pppb)CN account for the variation in the CPL spectra. By the aid of TD‐DFT calculations it was predicted that the dihedral angle θ(Cl‐Pt‐Pt‐Cl) was 50–60° or 110–140° for Pt(pppb)Cl aggregates and 160° for Pt(pppb)CN aggregates.  相似文献

Treatment of [M(AMP)Cl2] (M = PtII, PdII; AMP = 2-aminomethylpyridine) with 1 mole of AgX (X = ClO4, BF4, PF6) in dmso yields [M(AMP)(dmso)Cl]X. Single crystal X-ray structure determinations of the PdII and PtII complexes indicate that dmso is S-bondedtrans to the pyridyl ring in both complexes. A macrocyclic tetranuclear platinum(II) complex [Pt(en)(4,4′‐bpy)]4(NO3)8 ( 1 ?(NO3)8; en=ethylenediamine, 4,4′‐bpy=4,4′‐bipyridine) and a mononuclear platinum(IV) complex [Pt(en)2Br2]Br2 ( 2 ?Br2) formed two kinds of PtII/PtIV mixed valence assemblies when reacted: a discrete host–guest complex 1 ? 2 ?Br10 ( 3 ) and an extended 1‐D zigzag sheet 1 ?( 2 )3?Br8(NO3)6 ( 4 ). Single crystal X‐ray analysis showed that the dimensions of the assemblies could be stoichiometrically controlled. Resonance Raman spectra suggested the presence of an intervalence interaction, which is typically observed for quasi‐1‐D halogen‐bridged MII/MIV complexes. The intervalence interaction indicates the presence of an isolated {PtII???X? PtIV? X???PtII} moiety in the structure of 4 . On the basis of electronic spectra and polarized reflectance measurements, we conclude that 4 exhibits intervalence charge transfer (IVCT) bands. A Kramers–Kronig transformation was carried out to obtain an optical conductivity spectrum, and two sub‐bands corresponding to slightly different PtII–PtIV distances were observed.  相似文献

PtII complexes have attracted a great deal of interest due to their rich phosphorescent properties. However, these square-planar PtII complexes are far more likely to encounter the problems of lack of metal-induced chirality and emission “aggregation-caused quenching”. Herein, soft-bridged binuclear PtII complexes bearing metal-induced planar chirality were synthesized and characterized. These soft bridging ligands with smaller conjugated system would help to not only improve solubility for synthesis and enantioseparation but also introduce point chirality from amino acid for highly efficient diastereoselectivity. Furthermore, the intramolecular Pt−Pt distances could be well regulated by soft bridging ligands, and consequently the phosphorescence quantum yield up to 100 % could be achieved by shortening intramolecular Pt−Pt distance for first time. These complexes can be used as emitters in highly efficient solution-processed organic light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

Two structurally similar trans‐bis(pyridine) dichloropalladium(II)‐ and platinum(II)‐type complexes were synthesized and characterized. They both self‐assemble in n‐hexane to form viscous fluids at lower concentrations, but form metallogels at sufficient concentrations. The viscous solutions were studied by capillary viscosity measurements and UV/Vis absorption spectra monitored during the disassembly process indicated that a metallophilic interaction was involved in the supramolecular polymerization process. For the two supramolecular assemblies, uncommon continuous porous networks were observed by using SEM and TEM revealed that they were built from nanofibers that fused and crosslinked with the increase of concentration. The xerogels of the palladium and platinum complexes were carefully studied by using synchrotron radiation WAXD and EXAFS. The WAXD data show close stacking distances driven by π–π and metal–metal interactions and an evident dimer structure for the platinum complex was found. The coordination bond lengths were extracted from fitting of the EXAFS data. Moreover, close PtII–PtII (PdII–PdII) and Pt?Cl (Pd?Cl) interactions proposed from DFT calculations in the reported oligo(phenylene ethynylene) (OPE)‐based palladium(II) pyridyl supramolecular polymers were also confirmed by using EXAFS. The PtII–PtII interaction is more feasible for supramolecular interaction than the PdII–PdII interaction in our simple case.  相似文献

The first examples of dimeric, di‐PtII‐containing heteropolytungstates are reported. The two isomeric di‐platinum(II)‐containing 22‐tungsto‐2‐phosphates [anti‐PtII2(α‐PW11O39)2]10? ( 1 a ) and [syn‐PtII2(α‐PW11O39)2]10? ( 2 a ) were synthesized in aqueous pH 3.5 medium using one‐pot procedures. Polyanions 1 a and 2 a contain a core comprising two face‐on PtO4 units, with a Pt???Pt distance of 2.9–3 Å. Both polyanions were investigated by single‐crystal XRD, IR, TGA, UV/Vis, 31P NMR, ESI‐MS, CID‐MS/MS, electrochemistry, and DFT. On the basis of DFT and electrochemistry, we demonstrated that the {Pt2II} moiety in 1 a and 2 a can undergo fully reversible two‐electron oxidation to {Pt2III}, accompanied by formation of a single Pt?Pt bond. Hence we have discovered the novel subclass of PtIII‐containing heteropolytungstates.  相似文献

A molecular design to high-performance red and near-infrared (NIR) organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) emitters remains demanding. Herein a series of dinuclear platinum(II) complexes featuring strong intramolecular Pt???Pt and π–π interactions has been developed by using N-deprotonated α-carboline as a bridging ligand. The complexes in doped thin films exhibit efficient red to NIR emission from short-lived (τ=0.9–2.1 μs) triplet metal-metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3MMLCT) excited states. Red OLEDs demonstrate high maximum external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) of up to 23.3 % among the best PtII-complex-doped devices. The maximum EQE of 15.0 % and radiance of 285 W sr?1 m?2 for NIR OLEDs (λEL=725 nm) are unprecedented for devices based on discrete molecular emitters. Both red and NIR devices show very small efficiency roll-off at high brightness. Appealing operational lifetimes have also been revealed for the devices. This work sheds light on the potential of intramolecular metallophilicity for long-wavelength molecular emitters and electroluminescence.  相似文献

The photoluminescence spectra of a series of 5‐substituted pyridyl‐1,2,3‐triazolato PtII homoleptic complexes show weak emission tunability (ranging from λ=397–408 nm) in dilute (10?6 M ) ethanolic solutions at the monomer level and strong tunability in concentrated solutions (10?4 M ) and thin films (ranging from λ=487–625 nm) from dimeric excited states (excimers). The results of density functional calculations (PBE0) attribute this “turn‐on” sensitivity and intensity in the excimer to strong Pt–Pt metallophilic interactions and a change in the excited‐state character from singlet metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MLCT) to singlet metal‐metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MMLCT) emissions in agreement with lifetime measurements.  相似文献

A variety of π-electronic ion-pairing assemblies can be constructed by combining anion complexes of π-electronic systems and countercations. In this study, a series of anion-responsive π-electronic molecules, dipyrrolyldiketone PtII complexes containing a phenylpyridine ligand, were synthesized. The resulting PtII complexes exhibited phosphorescence emission, with higher emission quantum yields (0.30–0.42) and microsecond-order lifetimes, and solution-state anion binding, as revealed by our spectroscopic analyses. These PtII complexes displayed solid-state ion-pairing assemblies, exhibiting various anion-binding modes, which derived from pyrrole-inverted and pyrrole-non-inverted conformations, and packing structures, with the contribution of charge-by-charge assemblies, which were dependent on the substituents in the PtII complexes and the geometries and electronic states of their countercations.  相似文献

The vapochromic single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) transformation of a highly luminescent PtII complex bearing an N-heterocyclic carbene [Pt(CN)2(tBu-impy)] (tBu-impyH+=1-tert-butyl-3-(2-pyridyl)-1H-imidazolium) is reported. The trihydrate form of the complex, which exhibits blue 3MMLCT emission owing to weak Pt⋅⋅⋅Pt interactions, changed its luminescence color from blue to yellowish-green upon the desorption of water molecules while keeping the high emission quantum yield of more than 0.45. Variable-temperature and continuous in-situ tracking of single-crystal X-ray diffraction measurements revealed that the SCSC transformation proceeds reversibly by the release and reabsorption of water molecules, thereby changing the stacked structure slightly. As a result, the dynamics of vapor-induced SCSC transformation were elucidated: that the anhydrous form returned to the original trihydrate form in a two-step process under a water vapor atmosphere. In addition, the PtII complex exhibited a similar SCSC response accompanied by a luminescence color change in the presence of methanol vapor, while being inactive toward ethanol vapor.  相似文献

A systematic investigation into the relationship between the solid‐state luminescence and the intermolecular Au???Au interactions in a series of pyrazolate‐based gold(I) trimers; tris(μ2‐pyrazolato‐N,N′)‐tri‐gold(I) ( 1 ), tris(μ2‐3,4,5‐ trimethylpyrazolato‐N,N′)‐tri‐gold(I) ( 2 ), tris(μ2‐3‐methyl‐5‐phenylpyrazolato‐N,N′)‐tri‐gold(I) ( 3 ) and tris(μ2‐3,5‐diphenylpyrazolato‐N,N′)‐tri‐gold(I) ( 4 ) has been carried out using variable temperature and high pressure X‐ray crystallography, solid‐state emission spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and computational techniques. Single‐crystal X‐ray studies show that there is a significant reduction in the intertrimer Au???Au distances both with decreasing temperature and increasing pressure. In the four complexes, the reduction in temperature from 293 to 100 K is accompanied by a reduction in the shortest intermolecular Au???Au contacts of between 0.04 and 0.08 Å. The solid‐state luminescent emission spectra of 1 and 2 display a red shift with decreasing temperature or increasing pressure. Compound 3 does not emit under ambient conditions but displays increasingly red‐shifted luminescence upon cooling or compression. Compound 4 remains emissionless, consistent with the absence of intermolecular Au???Au interactions. The largest pressure induced shift in emission is observed in 2 with a red shift of approximately 630 cm?1 per GPa between ambient and 3.80 GPa. The shifts in all the complexes can be correlated with changes in Au???Au distance observed by diffraction.  相似文献

A new class of substituted porphyrins has been developed in which a different number of cyclometalated PtII C^N^N acetylides and polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains are attached to the meso positions of the porphyrin core, which are meant for photophysical, electrochemical, and in vitro light‐induced singlet oxygen (1O2) generation studies. All of these ZnII porphyrin–PtII C^N^N acetylide conjugates show moderate to high (ΦΔ=0.55 to 0.63) singlet oxygen generation efficiency. The complexes are soluble in organic solvents but, despite the PEG substituents, slowly aggregate in aqueous solvent systems. These conjugates also exhibit interesting photophysical properties, including near‐complete photoinduced energy transfer (PEnT) through the rigid acetylenic bond(s) from the PtII C^N^N antenna units to the ZnII porphyrin core, which shows sensitized luminescence, as shown by quenching of PtII C^N^N‐based luminescence. Electrochemical measurements show a set of redox processes that are approximately the sum of what is observed for the PtII C^N^N acetylide and ZnII porphyrin units. UV/Vis spectroscopic properties are supported by DFT calculations.  相似文献

Discrete pentanuclear PtII stacks were prepared by the host‐guest adduct formation between multinuclear tweezer‐type PtII complexes. The formation of the PtII stacks in solution was accompanied by color changes and the turning on of near‐infrared emission resulting from Pt⋅⋅⋅Pt and π–π interactions. The X‐ray crystal structure revealed the formation of a discrete 1:1 adduct, in which a linear stack of five PtII centers with extended Pt⋅⋅⋅Pt interactions was observed. Additional binding affinity and stability have been achieved through a multinuclear host‐guest system. The binding behaviors can be fine‐tuned by varying the spacer between the two PtII moieties in the guests. This work provides important insights for the construction of discrete higher‐order supramolecular metal‐ligand aggregates using a tweezer‐directed approach.  相似文献

Summary Complexes of 2-mercapto-1-methylimidazole (TMZ) with PtII, PdII, RhIII and RuIII of the general formulae Pt(TMZ)2Cl2, Pd(TMZ)4Cl2. Rh(TMZ)Cl3 and Ru(TMZ)Cl3 have been obtained. The thermal stabilities of the compounds were estimated by derivatographic measurements and the electron-donating atom of the measurements and the electron-donating atom of the ligand was identified from the i.r. absorbtion spectra. Lattice constants for the PtII and PdII complexes were estimated from their x-ray powder diffraction patterns.  相似文献

The reactions of AuIII, PtII and PdII complexes with 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde (2CHO-py) have been examined in protic (H2O, MeOH, EtOH) and aprotic (DMF, CH2Cl2) solvents. Compounds in which the pyridine ligand is N-coordinated, either in the original aldehydic form or in a new form derived from addition of one or two protic molecules, have been isolated, namely: [Au(2CHO-py · H2O)Cl3], [Au(2CHO-py · MeOH)Cl3], [Au(2CHO-py · 2EtOH)Cl3], cis-[Pt(2CHO-py)2Cl2], trans-[Pd(2CHO-py)2Cl2], trans-[Pt(dmso)(2CHO-py)Cl2], [Pt{C5H4N-(CH2SMe)}Cl(2CHO-py)](ClO4), [Pt(terpy)(2CHOpy)](ClO4)2, [Pt(terpy)(2CHO-py · H2O)](ClO4)2 (terpy = 2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine). 1H-n.m.r. experiments show that the addition of the protic molecule(s) to the PtII and PdII complexes is reversible. The effects of the nature of the metal ion and the ancillary ligands as well as of the total charge of the complexes on the relative stability of the addition products are discussed. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Some 1,1′‐ethenedithiolato complexes of nickel(II), palladium(II), and platinum(II) with different phosphine ligands, such as PPh3, PEt3, and dppe were prepared. Starting from 2‐, 3‐ as well as 4‐pyridyl methyl ketone, the complexes 1–15 were obtained in an one‐pot synthesis through reaction with carbon disulfide, using potassium‐tert‐butylate as a base. They were characterized by 1H, 13C, and 31P NMR, mass spectra, infrared spectra, and UV–VIS spectra. The molecular structures of the (Ph3P)2PdII complex 9 containing the 3‐pyridyl‐ethenedithiolato ligand and of the (Et3P)2PtII complex 12 containing the 4‐pyridyl‐ethenedithiolato ligand were determined. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
