It is well known that any Volterra integral equation of the second kind with compact operator is uniquely solvable. Partial integral operators are not compact, even in the general case of continuous kernels. Unique solvability conditions for Volterra partial integral equations of the second kind in the space of continuous functions of three variables are considered. Conditions for a Volterra partial integral equation to be equivalent to a three-dimensional Volterra integral equation with compact operator are obtained. The paper considers Volterra type integral operators acting in L2(T), where T is a partially ordered topological space as well as equations and inequalities related to them. For the linear operators of this type it is shown that they are quasinilpotent. Explicit estimates for the solutions of linear integral inequalities have been obtained. Nonlinear equations and inequalities have also been considered.  相似文献

A theorem on the existence of solutions and their continuous dependence upon initial boundary conditions is proved. The method of bicharacteristics is used to transform the mixed problem into a system of integral functional equations of the Volterra type. The existence of solutions of this system is proved by the method of successive approximations using theorems on integral inequalities. Classical solutions of integral functional equations lead to generalized solutions of the original problem. Differential equations with deviated variables and differential integral problems can be obtained from the general model by specializing given operators. In this paper, we define the topological degree for 1-set-contractive fields in PN spaces. Based on this, we obtain some new fixed point theorems for 1-set-contractive operators. This paper studies the existence, uniqueness and stability of the adapted solutions to backward stochastic Volterra integral equations (BSVIEs) driven by a cylindrical Brownian motion on a separable Hilbert space and a Poisson random measure with non-Lipschitz coefficient. Moreover, a duality principle between the linear forward stochastic Volterra integral equations (FSVIEs) with jumps and the linear BSVIEs with jumps is established.  相似文献

We study the existence of nondecreasing solutions of a quadratic singular Volterra integral equation in the space of continuous functions on bounded interval. The main tool utilized in our considerations is the technique associated with certain measure of noncompactness related to monotonicity. The results obtained in the paper may be applied to a wide class of singular Volterra integral equations.  相似文献

This paper presents a new and an efficient method for determining solutions of the linear second kind Volterra integral equations system. In this method, the linear Volterra integral equations system using the Taylor series expansion of the unknown functions transformed to a linear system of ordinary differential equations. For determining boundary conditions we use a new method. This method is effective to approximate solutions of integral equations system with a smooth kernel, and a convolution kernel. An error analysis for the proposed method is provided. And illustrative examples are given to represent the efficiency and the accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

We analyze functional-differential equations with unbounded operator coefficients in a Hilbert space whose leading part is an abstract hyperbolic equation perturbed by terms with a retarded argument and by terms with Volterra integral operators.We consider spectral problems for the operator functions that are the symbols of abovementioned equations in the autonomous case.  相似文献

Van Roosbroeck's bipolar drift diffusion equations cover the qualitative behaviour of many semiconductor devices. The complexity of the model equations however prevents efficient implementations needed in circuit simulations. Under close-to-thermal-equilibrium biasing conditions (zero space charge assumption, low injection limit) the van Roosbroeck system can be replaced by a system of coupled non-linear Volterra integral equations of the second kind. Involving only the macroscopic quantities current, applied voltage and serial resistance this Volterra system can be handled with comparably little effort. Volterra integral equations models are formulated for a large class of semiconductor devices with abrupt pn-junctions. The model equations are made explicit for diodes, transistors and thyristors. A survey on various results concerning Volterra models describing the switching behaviour of pn-diodes is given. The integral equation model allows to recover all relevant properties of the voltage–current characteristics.  相似文献

The first goal of this article is to discuss the existence of solutions of nonlinear quadratic integral equations. These equations are considered in the Banach space L p (?+). The arguments used in the existence proofs are based on Schauder's and Darbo's fixed point theorems. In particular, to apply Schauder's fixed point theorem based method, a special care is devoted to the proof of the L p -compactness of the operators associated with our nonlinear quadratic integral equations. The second goal of this work is to study a numerical method for solving nonlinear Volterra integral equations of a fairly general type. Finally, we provide the reader with some examples that illustrate the different results of this work.  相似文献

Many important Fredholm integral equations have separable kernels which are finite-rank modifications of Volterra kernels. This class includes Green's functions for Sturm-Liouville and other two-point boundary-value problems for linear ordinary differential operators. It is shown how to construct the Fredholm determinant, resolvent kernel, and eigenfunctions of kernels of this class by solving related Volterra integral equations and finite, linear algebraic systems. Applications to boundary-value problems are discussed, and explicit formulas are given for a simple example. We propose a new general definition of Volterra operators. Several types of evolutionary operators, including Volterra ones in the sense of A.N. Tikhonov, satisfy this definition. For equations with generalized Volterra operators we introduce the notions of local, global, and maximally extended solutions. For solutions to nonlinear equations we formulate the existence, uniqueness, and extendability conditions. The theorems proved in this paper imply both known and new results on the solvability of concrete equations. We adduce an example of the application of obtained results to the study of the Cauchy problem for functional differential equations.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Fractional multistep methods were introduced by C. Lubich for the quadrature of Abel integral operators and the solution of weakly singular Volterra integral equations of the first kind with exactly given right-hand sides. In the current paper, we consider the regularizing properties of these methods to solve the mentioned integral equations of the first kind for perturbed right-hand sides.
