Borosulfates are compounds analogous to silicates, with heteropolyanionic subunits of vertex-linked (SO4)- and (BO4)-tetrahedra. In contrast to the immense structural diversity of silicates, the number of borosulfates is yet very limited and the extent of their properties is still unknown. This is particularly true for representatives with phyllosilicate and tectosilicate analogue anionic substructures. Herein, we present Ni[B2(SO4)4] and Co[B2(SO4)4], two new borosulfates with phyllosilicate analogue topology. While the anionic subunits of both structures are homeotypic, the positions of the charge compensating cations differ significantly: NiII is located between the borosulfate layers, while CoII—in contrast—is embedded within the layer. Detailed analysis of these two structures based on single-crystal X-ray diffraction, magnetochemical investigations, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and quantum chemical calculations, unveiled the reasons for this finding. By in silico comparison with other divalent borosulfates, we uncovered systematic trends for phyllosilicate analogues leading to the prediction of new species. 相似文献

A cobalt paradodecatungstate [Co(H2O)5]2[Co(H2O)4]3[H2W12O42]·11H2O has been successfully synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. Structure analysis indicates that the title compound is of monoclinic, space group P21/n, with a = 13.449(3), b =19.585(4), c = 13.990(3) (A),β = 113.79(3)°, V = 3371.8(12) (A)3, Z= 2, R= 0.0519 and wR= 0.1242.The title compound exhibits a novel 3D extended network structure constructed by interconnecting the paradodecatungstate polyanion [H2W12O42]10- clusters and cobalt11 coordination ions. 相似文献

A high-spin Co(II) cluster with a rare pentagonal molecular structure and formula [Co(5)(CO(3))(2)(bpp)(5)]ClO(4) (1; Hbpp is 2,6-bis(phenyliminomethyl)-4-methylphenolate) has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. This topology arises from fusing five [Co(2)(bpp)] moieties in a cyclic manner around two CO(3)(2-) central ligands, resulting in propeller-like configuration. The irregular coordination of the carbonate ions to the metal centers results in a combination of coordination numbers (CNs) of the Co(II) ions of five and six. The bulk magnetization of this complicated magnetically exchanged system has been modeled successfully by employing a matrix diagonalization technique. For this, the combination of S=3/2 ions (CN=5) with ions exhibiting strong spin-orbit coupling (CN=6) has been considered and a perturbative approach to handle the data in the whole studied range of temperatures (2-300 K) yielding parameters of g and D (for the five-coordinate Co(II) ions), of A, κ, λ, and Δ (for the metals with spin-orbit coupling) and of the exchange constants J. The agreement with results from DFT calculations, also presented here, is remarkable. 相似文献

Reaction of COC12.6H20 with equimolar bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)methane (dmpzm) produced a mononuclear adduct [Co(dmpzm)Cl2] (1). Treatment of 1 with sodium dicyanamide (dca) afforded a polymeric complex [Co(dmpzm)(μ-dca)2]∞ (2). 1 and 2 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The cobalt atom in 1 adopts a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry, bound to two N atoms of one dmpzm and two Cl atoms. Complex 2 has a 2D brick-wall network (extended along the bc plane) in which the { [Co(dmpzm)(μ-dca)]2} n^2n+ chains are interconnected by pairs of μ-dca anions along the c axis. Two cobalt hexammine-vanadate ion-pair complexes have been prepared; one in acid medium (pH≈4) and the other in alkaline medium
(pH≈10). The formed complexes were characterized by their elemental analysis, IR and XRD techniques. The complexes were subjected
to thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses. The IR study suggests that the formed complexes were of the ion-pair
type, while that of the thermally decomposed compounds revealed the resolution of the originally present broad V=O and V-O-V
bands.

Diammine cobalt(II) chloride, Co(N(H, D)3)2Cl2 was prepared by decomposition of the corresponding hexaammines at 120 °C in dynamical vacuum. Crystal structures and magnetic properties of these materials were characterised by X‐ray and neutron powder diffraction, and heat capacity measurements. At ambient temperatures Co(N(H, D)3)2Cl2 crystallises in the Cd(NH3)2Cl2 type structure: space group Cmmm, Z = 2, a = 8.0512(2) Å, b = 8.0525(2) Å, c = 3.73318(9) Å (X‐ray data of the H compound). This structure consists of chains of edge‐sharing octahedra [CoCl4/2(NH3)2] running along the c‐axis. Neutron diffraction confirms that that the ND3 groups are rotationally disordered at ambient temperatures. At 1.5 K and 20 K neutron diffraction data reveal rotational ordering of the ND3 groups leading to doubling of the c‐axis and to Ibmm symmetry: a = 7.9999(6) Å, b = 7.9911(5) Å, c = 7.4033(3) Å (Z = 4, values for T = 1.5 K). Furthermore, antiferromagnetic ordering is present at these temperatures. It is caused by a ferromagnetic coupling of the magnetic moments at Co2+ (3.60(5) μB at 1.5 K, 3.22(5) μB at 20 K) along the octahedra chains [CoCl4/2(NH3)2] and antiferromagnetic coupling between neighbouring chains. According to heat capacity measurements the phase transition antiferromagnetic‐paramagnetic takes place at TN = 26 K. 相似文献

Single crystals of trans-[Pd(NO3)2(H2O)2] were obtained, and the crystal structure of this complex, previously obtained for polycrystals, was refined. Crystal data (BRUKER X8APEX diffractometer): a = 4.9973(7) Å, b = 10.5982(14) Å, c = 11.7008(17) Å, V = 619.70(15) Å3, space group Pbca, Z = 4, d calc = 2.856 g/cm3. The structure is composed of neutral complexes with a trans configuration. The square plane environment of the Pd atom is formed by four oxygen atoms (Pd-O(NO3) 1.999(5) Å, Pd-O(H2O) 2.030(5) Å) and completed to a distorted bipyramid by two intramolecular contacts (Pd…O(NO3) 2.926 Å). Kinetic parameters (apparent activation energy, reaction order, pre-exponential factor (Z) in the Arrhenius equation) for thermal decomposition of the [Co(NH3)6]Cl3, Co[(NH3)4Cl2]Cl, K3[Fe(C2O4)3]3H2O and Fe(CH3COO)3 are reported. They have been calculated on the DTA and TG data according to Coats-Redfern's model. Both, decomposition data obtained in argon and in air atmosphere have been considered and the results are compared.

The new complex formulated [(DPC)2Co2(H2O)5]·2H2O (HDPC- is pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate) has been synthesized and the crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure of the complex belongs to monoclinic system with space group P21/c, a=0.83850(10) nm, b=2.7386(4) nm, c=0.9610(2) nm, β=98.280 (10) °, V=2.1838(6) nm3, Z=4, Dc=1.746 g·cm-3, μ=1.597 mm-1. In the crystal the two Co2+ are in distorted octahedrons. The part of [Co(DPC)2] possess an approximate D2d symmetry, while the part of [OCo(2)(OH2)5] has an approximate C2 symmetry. 相似文献
