Summary Binuclear complexes of OVIV have been prepared by reacting aromatic diamines with mixed-ligand (mononuclear) complexes of the type [(diamine), VO(PmAcp or PmbzP)], where (diamine) = 2,2-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline, and PmAcp or PmbzP heterocyclic -diketone ligands = 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acetyl or 4-benzoyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one. 2,6-Diaminopyridine orm-phenylenediamine condenses with the MeCO or PhCO groups of PmAcp and PmbzP on two complex molecules, thus bridging the two VOII centres. The complexes have been characterized by electronic, i.r. and e.s.r. spectra, magnetic measurements, thermogravimetry, conductometry and microanalysis. The magnetic moments and the order of antiferromagnetism are explained on the basis of delocalized -orbitals, orientation of the metal orbitals and the bridging Schiff base. The metal-ligand bond is covalent.  相似文献

Ruthenium(II) complexes of the general formula [Ru(PPh3)2(L)(L)]ClO4 [L=2,2-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline;L=2-hydroxy--4-X-phenylcinnamoylacetophenone] have been prepared by reacting L and L with Ru(PPh3)3Cl2 in CH2Cl2. The complexes are diamagnetic and absorb intensely in the visible region, owing to the MLCT transition. Hexacoordinated ruthenium(III) complexes, [RuCl2(PPh3)2(L)], have also been prepared by reacting Ru(PPh3)3Cl3 with -diketones. Solutions of ruthenium(III) complexes show rhombic e.s.r. spectra at 77 K, and distortion from the octahedral symmetry has been identified from the line spacings. The conjugation in diketones favours reversibility in RuII/III and RuIII/IV and stabilize ruthenium in different oxidation states owing to d–* interaction. Oxovanadyl(IV) complexes of the -diketones with a metal-to-ligand ratio of 1:2 and square pyramidal geometry were also prepared. The e.s.r spectra of these complexes show the presence of an unpaired electron in the dxy orbital and the hyperfine splitting constants are sensitive to solvent change. ¶ A new class of highly conjugated Schiff bases obtained from the above diketones and 2-aminothiophenol behave as dibasic, tridentate ligands in their copper(II) complexes. The subnormal magnetic moments and hyperfine splittings of these complexes are ascribed to an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction arising from dimerization. Cyclic voltammograms show that the electron transfer occurs in two steps corresponding to CuII–CuI and CuI–CuI redox states.  相似文献

Some pentacoordinated tributyltin(IV) complexes of sterically hindered Schiff bases of heterocyclic β-diketones having the general formula Bu3SnL (where LH = RC:NZC:C(OH)N(C6H5)N:CCH3 where R = –CH3, –C6H5, –C6H4Cl (p) and Z = –C6H4Cl(m), –C6H4Cl(p) and –C6H4Cl(p)] were screened for their antimicrobial activity against the bacterial strain (Bacillus subtillis) and fungal strains (Candida albicans and Aspergillas niger). These monomeric pentacoordinated tributyltin(IV) complexes possess six membered ring which provide stability to the complexes. These complexes possess Sn←N bond scaffold which impart biological activity in tributyltin(IV) complexes. Antimicrobial bioassay results reveal that these tributyltin(IV) complexes derived from sterically hindered Schiff bases of heterocyclic β-diketones were possess more inhibition potential than their respective parent ligands. These pentacoordinated tributyltin(IV) complexes may used as antibiotic drug in future.  相似文献

New complexes of vanadium(IV) and oxovanadium(IV) with Schiff base ligands derived from -diketones and ethanolamine or o-aminophenol have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic moment measurements, and by i.r., u.v.–vis. and e.p.r. spectroscopy. A distorted octahedral environment was proposed for the vanadium(IV) and oxovanadium(IV) complexes. The spectroscopic results were utilized to compute the important ligand field parameters. Three adduct complexes were isolated owing to the interaction of one oxovanadium complex with Lewis-bases in MeOH. Vanadium(IV) complexes exhibit promising catalytic activity towards the aerobic oxidation of p-phenylenediamine (PPD) to the corresponding semi-oxidized form (PPD+). A linear correlation exists between the oxidase catalytic activity and the Lewis acidity of the central vanadium(IV) ion created by the donating properties of the parent ligand.  相似文献

Six new mixed-ligand oxovanadium(IV) and manganese(II) complexes of the general composition [VO(dhaH)(L1H)(L2)] and [Mn(dhaH)(L1H)(L2)], where dhaH=dehydroacetic acid, L1H=β-ketoenolates viz., acetoacetanilide (aaaH), o-acetoacetotoluidide (o-aatdH), o-acetoacetanisidide (o-aansH) and L2=benzimidazole (bzl), 3-methyl-1phenyl-2pyrazoline-5one (mphp), 2-aminobenzimidazole (abzl) or 2-aminobenzathiozole (abtz) have been synthesized. The resultant complexes were characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic measurements, mass spectrometry, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared and electron spin resonance studies. The thermal decomposition processes of one representative of the complexes are discussed and the order of reaction (n), the activation energies (Ea), the pre-exponential factor (A), have been calculated from thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermogravimetric (DTG) curves. Gaussian 09 software package was used to carry out theoretical computation using density functional theory (DFT) methods with Becke3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) hybrid exchange-correlation functional and the standard LANL2 MB basis set. Based on combined experimental-theoretical characterization, a suitable octahedral structure has been proposed for this class of complexes.  相似文献

Preparation methods are developed for a number of 7- and 8-coordinated derivatives of Hf(IV) and Zr(IV) with β-diketonate ligands (R1-CO-CH-CO-R2). The complexes obtained are examined by IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and X-ray crystallography. All structures are molecular. The M-O distances fall within 2.09–2.28 Å. In the crystals, the molecules are joined only by van der Waals interactions. It is demonstrated that the series of hafnium(IV) and zirconium(IV) chelates with identical ligands are isostructural, and the introduction of CF3- or tert-butyl groups in the terminal positions of the ligand as well as chlorine substitution for one of the ligands do not essentially affect the basic geometric characteristics of the ligand in the complexes.  相似文献

Five new rhenium(III) complexes of the general formula ReCl2(RFCOCHCORF)(PPh3)(OPPh3), where RF = CF3 (I), C2F5 (II), C3F7 (III), C4F9 (IV), and CF3CFOC3F7 (V), were synthesized. The known rhenium(V) complex ReOCl2(OC2H5)(PPh3)2, which can readily be obtained from metallic rhenium, was used as a precursor. Two polymorphous modifications of compound I were found and studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. The thermal properties of the synthesized complexes were characterized by the DTA-TG method.  相似文献

A procedure has been developed for the synthesis of cyclometalated azobenzene palladium(II) complexes [Pd(O^O)Azb], where Azb is deprotonated azobenzene and (O^O) is deprotonated β-diketone (acetylacetone, thenoyltrifluoroacetone, benzoylacetone, or dibenzoylmethane). Electronic absorption spectra and electrochemical behavior of the synthesized complexes have been studied. It has been found that the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of the complexes is contributed most by the π* orbital of azobenzene, and the highest occupied molecular orbital, by the palladium d orbital.  相似文献

Synthesis, spectral, thermal and coordination aspects of pentadentate Schiff-base complexes of the type [Mn(L)(X)] · H2O [where H2L = N,N′–diethylamine bis(1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acetylimino-2-pyrazoline-5-ol) and X=NCS, NO3, ClO4, CN or N3] are reported. The Schiff-base ligand (H2L) and metal complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, magnetic measurements, molar conductivity measurements, electronic spectra, cyclic voltammetric and thermal studies. Magnetic moment values are close to 4.9 B.M. indicating high spin complexes lacking exchange interaction. Infrared spectral data suggest coordination of the secondary amino group making the ligand pentadentate. All complexes are electrochemically inactive, indicating high stability. Thermal decomposition of the Schiff-base complexes indicates loss of water of hydration and decomposition of the ligand. Kinetic parameters such as order of reaction (n) and the energy of activation (E a) are reported using the Horowitz–Metzger method, indicating first order kinetics and giving the activation entropy (ΔS*), the activation enthalpy (ΔH*) and the free energy of activation (ΔG*).  相似文献

Crystal data for C20H4F24ZrO8: a = 15.3533(13) Å, b = 20.2613(15) Å, c = 19.6984(17) Å; β = 95.828(2)°, monoclinic, space group P21/c, Z = 2, d calc = 2.004 g/cm3, R = 0.078. All the structures are molecular and include isolated mononuclear Zr(β-dik)4 complex molecules. Coordination environment of zirconium atom is made by eight oxygen atoms of four β-diketonates; the coordination polyhedron is an almost regular square antiprism. The Zr-O distances fall within 2.14–2.23 Å. Complexes in the structures are joined by van der Waals interactions. Using the structural data, the van der Waals energies of crystal lattices of the studied compounds are calculated by the atom-atom potential method.  相似文献

The Schiff base tetradentate ligands N,N-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1-p-tolyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethylene)-ethane-1,2-diamine (H2L1), N,N-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1-p-sulfonyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethylene)-ethane-1,2-diamine (H2L2), N,N-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1-p-tolyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethylene)-benzene-1,2-diamine (H2L3) and N,N-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1-p-sulfonyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethylene)-benzene-1,2-diamine (H2L4) were prepared from the reaction between 5-oxo-3-methyl-1-p-tolyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde or 4-(4-formyl-5-oxo-3-methyl-pyrazol-1-yl)-benzenesulfonic acid and o-phenylenediamine or ethylenediamine. And these are characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and GC–MS. The corresponding Schiff base complexes of Mn(III) were prepared by condensation of [Mn33-O)(OAc)6(H2O)3]·3H2O with ligands H2L1, H2L2, H2L3 and H2L4. All these complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, X-ray crystallography, conductometry measurement, FT-IR, electronic spectra and mass (FAB) spectrometry. Thermal behaviour of the complexes has been studied by TGA, DTA and DSC. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate octahedral stereochemistry of manganese (III) complexes, while non-electrolytic behaviour complexes indicate the absence of counter ion.  相似文献

Summary Electron impact mass spectra of several bis(2-trifluoroacetylcycloalkanonato) copper(II) and bis(2-acetylcycloalkanonato) copper(II) chelates, in which the cyclic -diketonate moiety comprises five-, six-, seven-, and eight-membered ring systems, have been recorded. Compared with other copper(II) chelates of acyclic -diketonates, the present series of copper(II) cyclic -diketonates exhibited more pronounced intramolecular reduction reactions accompanied by a remarkably facile hydrogen migration resulting in the formation of the [LCu(I)-H]+ ion as the base peak in all complexes investigated. The proposed fragmentation pathways leading to the formation of a number of important copper-containing daughter ions have been confirmed by metastable scanning of the corresponding parent ion spectra using the defocusing technique.

The synthesis and structure of binuclear copper(II) complexes with acyldihydrazones of some β-diketones are described. The molecular structure of the copper(II) complex [Cu2L·4Py] with trifluoroacetylacetone succinyldihydrazone (H4L) was determined by the single-crystal X-ray analysis. Central atoms are bridged by a chain of seven σ-bonds with a Cu...Cu distance of 8.750 Å. EPR spectra of copper(II) complexes with acyldihydrazones of trifluoroacetylacetone and lower dicarboxylic acids containing from one to four methylene groups in the aliphatic spacer show the seven-line HFS due to spin-spin coupling of unpaired electrons with the two equivalent copper nuclei (g = 2.110, a = (38.5–40.5)⊙10?4 cm?1). By extending polymethylene spacer, as well as by modifying starting β-diketone, an exchange interaction between paramagnetic centers is suppressed.  相似文献

This paper describes the formation of polymer inclusion complexes(polymer-CD-ICs) between β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) and aliphatic-aromatic poly(Schiff base)s. Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1H-NMR), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) have been used to observe the formation of polymer-CD-ICs. In FTIR spectra, the characteristic peaks of β-CD at 3391 cm−1 shifted to 3418 cm−1 and the intense peak at 1602 cm−1 due to the –C = N– stretching vibration diminished after formation of inclusion complexes. Compared the 1H-NMR of polymer-CD-ICs with β-CD, the chemical shift of the protons H-3, H-5 have shifted to higher field after the formation of inclusion complexes, which is perhaps due to the interaction of these protons with polymers. The TGA analysis revealed that the polymer-CD-ICs had better thermal stability than β-CD, suggesting that the polymer increased the stability of β-CD. The X-ray diffraction patterns displayed that the strong peak for both polymer-CD-ICs at approximately 20.0° (2θ) may confirm their IC formation.  相似文献

Complexes of the general formula, ML2 [M = CuII, NiII, CoII and OVIV; L = 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydro-3-hydroxyimino-N-(4-X-phenyl)-l-phenyl-5-(phenylmethylene)-2-naphthalenecarboxamide (X = H, Me, OMe, Cl)] have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, magnetic moments and i.r., e.p.r. and electronic spectra. These metal complexes contain the N4 chromophore with the ligand coordinating through nitrogens of the azomethine and deprotonated anilide functions. C.v. measurements indicate that the copper(II) complexes are quasi-reversible in acetonitrile solution. Square planar and square pyramidal structures are assigned respectively to the copper(II) and oxovanadium(IV) complexes, whereas tetrahedral geometry is assigned to the nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes. Deprotonated anilide nitrogen is involved in coordination and the presence of an electron-donating group para to the anilide function decreases the ΔE values of the d–d transitions while the value is found to increase when electron-withdrawing groups are substituted. Line spacing in the e.p.r. spectra of the copper(II) and oxovanadium(IV) complexes increases when methyl group is para to the anilide group, and decreases when this group is replaced by methoxy or chloro. The ν(C–N) of the anilide group and the ν(C-N) of the azomethine function of the oxime metal complexes are metal-sensitive and the blue shift for the above stretching frequencies follows the order: copper(II) > oxovanadium(IV) > nickel(II) ≈ cobalt(II). This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Nine novel heteronuclear complexes of Ln(Ⅲ)-Cu(Ⅱ) with salicylidene tetraethvlcne glycol diamine (SALTTA) have been synthesized and characterized. They have the general formulae [LnCu2(SALTTA)2(NO3)3](NO3)4 3H2O (Ln=La,Pr.Nd,Srn) and [LnCu3(SALTTA)3(NO3)5]-(NO3)4-4H2O (Ln=Gd,Tb,Er,Yb,Y).The IR spectra show that vc=N in the Ln(Ⅲ)-Cu(Ⅱ) het-eronuclear complexes are splitted up into two peaks with a far distance. It has been confirmed that oxygen atoms in oxyethylene of the ligand are not all coordinated to the central metal ions by both IR and NMR methods.  相似文献

The mixed ligand mononuclear complex [Mn(bipy)(HPMFP)(OAc)]ClO(4) was synthesized by reaction of Mn(OAc)(3)·2H(2)O with HPMFP and 2,2'-bipyridyl. The corresponding Schiff base complexes were prepared by condensation of [Mn(bipy)(HPMFP)(OAc)]ClO(4) with ethylenediamine, ethanolamine and glycine (where HPMFP=1-phenyl-3methyl-4-formyl-2-pyrazolin-5one, bipy=2,2'-bipyridyl). All the compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, conductometry measurements and (1)H and (13)C NMR, FT-IR, mass spectrometry. Electronic spectral and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate square pyramidal geometry around manganese(III) ion. The thermal stabilities, activation energy E*, entropy change ΔS*, enthalpy change ΔH* and heat capacity of thermal degradation for these complexes were determined by TGA and DSC. The in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity of four coordination compounds and ligand HPMFP were investigated. In vitro activates of Bacillus subtillis (MTCC-619), Staphylococcus aureus (MTCC-96), Escherichia coli (MTCC-722) and Klebsiella pneumonia (MTCC-109) bacteria and the fungus Candida albicans (ATCC-90028) were determined. All the compounds showed good antimicrobial activity. The antimicrobial activities increased as formation of Schiff base.  相似文献
