In this article, we introduce and characterize approximate duality for g-frames. We get some important properties and applications of approximate duals. We also obtain some new results in approximate duality of frames, and generalize some of the known results in approximate duality of frames to g-frames. We also get some results for fusion frames, and perturbation of approximately dual g-frames. We show that approximate duals are stable under small perturbations and they are useful for erasures and reconstruction.  相似文献

Operator-valued frames(or g-frames) are generalizations of frames and fusion frames and have been used in packets encoding, quantum computing, theory of coherent states and more. In this article, we give a new formula for operator-valued frames for finite dimensional Hilbert spaces. As an application, we derive in a simple manner a recent result of A. Najati concerning the approximation of g-frames by Parseval ones. We obtain also some results concerning the best approximation of operator-valued frames by its alternate duals,with optimal estimates.  相似文献

From the perspectives of duality and extensions, Gabor frames and wavelet frames have contrasting behaviour. Our chief concern here is about duality. Canonical duals of wavelet frames may not be wavelet frames, whereas canonical duals of Gabor frames are Gabor frames. Keeping these in view, we give several constructions of wavelet frames with wavelet canonical duals. For this, a simple characterisation of Bessel sequences and a general commutativity result are given, the former also leading naturally to some extension results.  相似文献

G-frames are generalized frames which include ordinary frames, bounded invertible linear operators, as well as many recent generalizations of frames, e.g., bounded quasi-projectors and frames of subspaces. G-frames are natural generalizations of frames and provide more choices on analyzing functions from frame expansion coefficients. We give characterizations of g-frames and prove that g-frames share many useful properties with frames. We also give a generalized version of Riesz bases and orthonormal bases. As an application, we get atomic resolutions for bounded linear operators.  相似文献

g-Frames are natural generalizations of frames which cover many other recent generalizations of frames, e.g., bounded quasi-projectors, frames of subspaces, outer frames, oblique frames, pseudo-frames and a class of time-frequency localization operators. Moreover, it is known that g-frames are equivalent to stable space splittings. In this paper, we study the stability of g-frames. We first present some properties for g-Bessel sequences. Then we prove that g-frames are stable under small perturbations. We also study the stability of dual g-frames.  相似文献

We study Schauder frames in Fréchet spaces and their duals, as well as perturbation results. We define shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames on a locally convex space, study the duality of these two concepts and their relation with the reflexivity of the space. We characterize when an unconditional Schauder frame is shrinking or boundedly complete in terms of properties of the space. Several examples of concrete Schauder frames in function spaces are also presented.  相似文献

G-frames, which were considered recently as generalized frames in Hilbert spaces, have many properties similar to those of frames, but not all the properties are similar. For example, exact frames are equivalent to Riesz bases, but exact g-frames are not equivalent to g-Riesz bases. In this paper, we firstly give a characterization of an exact g-frame in a complex Hilbert space. We also obtain an equivalent relation between an exact g-frame and a g-Riesz basis under some conditions. Lastly we consider the stability of an exact g-frame for a Hilbert space under perturbation. These properties of exact g-frames for Hilbert spaces are not similar to those of exact frames.  相似文献

A dimension invariance property for finite frames of translates and Gabor frames is discussed. Under appropriate support conditions among the frame and dual frame generating functions, we show that a pair of dual frames evaluated in a given space remains a valid dual set if they are naturally embedded in the underlying space of almost arbitrarily enlarged dimension. Consequently, the evaluation of duals in a very large dimensional space is now easily accessible by merely working in a space of some much smaller dimension. A number of uniform and non-uniform schemes are studied. To satisfy the support conditions, a method of finding valid alternate dual functions with small support via a known parametric dual frame formula is discussed. Oftentimes it is convenient to have truncated approximate duals that satisfy the support conditions. Stability studies of the dimension invariance principle via such approximate duals are also presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the concept of a g-Besselian frame in a Hilbert space and discuss the relations between a g-Besselian frame and a Besselian frame. We also give some characterizations of g-Besselian frames. In the end of this paper, we discuss the stability of g-Besselian frames. Our results show that the relations and the characterizations between a g-Besselian frame and a Besselian frame are different from the corresponding results of g-frames and frames.  相似文献

We construct non-tight frames in finite-dimensional spaces consisting of periodic functions. In order for these frames to be useful in practice one needs to calculate a dual frame; while the canonical dual frame might be cumbersome to work with, the setup presented here enables us to obtain explicit constructions of some particularly convenient oblique duals. We also provide explicit oblique duals belonging to prescribed spaces different from the space where we obtain the expansion. In particular this leads to oblique duals that are trigonometric polynomials.  相似文献

In this paper, we give some new results on sum and stability of g-frames in Hilbert spaces. Since the finite sum of g-frames may not be a g-frame for the Hilbert space, we give a necessary and sufficient condition and some sufficient conditions for the finite sum of g-frames to be a g-frame. We also show that every g-sequence in Hilbert space can be expanded to a tight g-frame by adding a linear bounded operator. Moreover, we obtain some sufficient conditions under which g-frames (and the finite sum of g-frames) are stable under small perturbations.  相似文献

We provide a characterization and construction of general frame decompositions. We show that generating all duals for a given frame amounts to finding left inverses of an one-to-one mapping. A general parametric and algebraic formula for all duals is derived. An application of the theory to Weyl-Heisenberg (WH) frames is discussed. Besides the (usual) dual frame that preserves the translation and modulation structure, we construct a class of duals that attain such a structure. We also show constructively that there are duals to WH frames which are not the translation and modulation of a single function.  相似文献

The existence of efficient techniques such as subgradient search for solving Lagrangean duals has led to some very successful applications of Lagrangean duality in solving specially structured discrete problems. While surrogate duals have been theoretically shown to provide stronger bounds, the complexity of surrogate dual multiplier search has discouraged their employment in solving integer programs. We have recently suggested a new strategy for computing surrogate dual values that allows us to directly use established Lagrangean search methods for exploring surrogate dual multipliers. This paper considers the problem of incorporating surrogate duality within a branch-and-bound procedure for solving integer programming problems. Computational experience with randomly generated multiconstraint knapsack problems is also reported.  相似文献

In this present article we have given some multiobjective programming problems with their symmetric duals and have derived weak and strong duality results with respect to such programs. Moreover, we have also used most general type of invexity assumptions involved with the functions which are related to the programming problems. It is to be pointed out that the objective functions in such programs contain terms like support functions which in turn are able to give results on particular classes of programs involving quadratic terms. Our results in particular give as special cases some earlier results on symmetric duals given in the current literature.  相似文献

Due to its potential applications in multiplexing techniques such as time division multiple access and frequency division multiple access, superframe has interested some mathematicians and engineering specialists. In this paper, we investigate super Gabor systems on discrete periodic sets in terms of a suitable Zak transform matrix, which can model signals to appear periodically but intermittently. Complete super Gabor systems, super Gabor frames and Gabor duals for super Gabor frames on discrete periodic sets are characterized; An explicit expression of Gabor duals is established, and the uniqueness of Gabor duals is characterized. On the other hand, discrete periodic sets admitting complete super Gabor systems, super Gabor frames, super Gabor Riesz bases are also characterized. Some examples are also provided to illustrate the general theory.  相似文献

We present a new duality theory to treat convex optimization problems and we prove that the geometric duality used by Scott and Jefferson in different papers during the last quarter of century is a special case of it. Moreover, weaker sufficient conditions to achieve strong duality are considered and optimality conditions are derived. Next, we apply our approach to some problems considered by Scott and Jefferson, determining their duals. We give weaker sufficient conditions to achieve strong duality and the corresponding optimality conditions. Finally, posynomial geometric programming is viewed also as a particular case of the duality approach that we present. Communicated by V. F.
