The magnetization and susceptibility of a cylindrical core/shell spin-1 Ising nanowire are investigated within the effective-field theory with correlations for both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the shell and the core. We find that the nanowire system exhibits two distinct susceptibility peaks and two successive phase transitions; either both of them are second-order transitions or one is a second-order transition and the other is a first-order transition for a small exchange interaction. The susceptibility versus switching field and the hysteresis behavior are investigated for different temperatures. It is found that the magnetization reversal events appear as peaks in the susceptibility versus switching field curve, the positions of which define the coercive field points of the nanowire system; the distance between the two susceptibility peaks decreases with increasing temperature.  相似文献

Conduction electron spin susceptibility values are deduced for the 18 liquid metals for which total magnetic susceptibility data are available in the literature. A “best” set of ionic susceptibility values is chosen using the criterion that the electronic susceptibilities should not show a marked systematic dependence upon atomic number for a given valency. The results strongly suggest that the spin susceptibility is quite generally 10–15% larger than that predicted by current theoretical calculations of the electron-electron enhancement in a Fermi liquid.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of spin glasses is calculated exactly on the basis of a magnetic cluster model, following Néel. The susceptibility of a single cluster below its blocking temperature is taken to be negligibly small compared to its value above. A distribution of blocking temperatures may be obtained from observations on spin glasses. Conditions for the sharpness of the susceptibility peak are discussed and the low-temperature variation of the susceptibility is also obtained.  相似文献

We demonstrate through experiment and simulation that when mono-domain Fe nanoparticles are formed into chains by the application of a magnetic field, the susceptibility of the resulting structure is greatly enhanced (11.4-fold) parallel to the particle chains and is much larger than transverse to the chains. Simulations show that this significant enhancement is expected when the susceptibility of the individual particles approaches 5 in MKS units, and is due to the spontaneous magnetization of individual particle chains, which occurs because of the strong dipolar interactions. This large enhancement is only possible with nanoparticles, because demagnetization fields limit the susceptibility of a spherical multi-domain particle to 3 (MKS). Experimental confirmation of the large susceptibility enhancement is presented, and both the enhancement and the susceptibility anisotropy are found to agree with simulation. The specific susceptibility of the nanocomposite is 54 (MKS), which exceeds the highest value we have obtained for field-structured composites of multi-domain particles by a factor of four.  相似文献

As is well known, the sign of parallel magnetoelectric susceptibility for chromium oxide can be positive or negative both depending on prehistory of the sample, but it is always opposite to the perpendicular susceptibility. In order to explain this behaviour, the concept of antiferromagnetic domains depending on the existence of two possibilities spin orientation in a magnetic unit cell was invoked both by Rado and Astrov. The authors have carried out detailed studies of domain-based magnetoelectric effect for Cr2O3 and the results are presented in this communication. Investigations were carried out both for static and dynamic effect. For static measurements the dielectric constant method developed earlier has been used. The domain pattern in the sample is altered by cooling in simultaneous presence of different electric (E) and magnetic (B) fields from paramagnetic state to the ordered state, and the magnetoelectric susceptibility evaluated. From the measurements it is concluded that the deciding parameter of magnetoelectric susceptibility if product of fields EB for low fields as reported by Martin and Anderson. For high fields, the electric field seems to play a more significant role, and magnetoelectric susceptibility is a function of E2B used for cooling. Static measurements are also extended to low temperatures for parallel susceptibility for the sample with largest magnetoelectric susceptibility. In the temperature range used (90 K to room temperature) the change in susceptibility observed is not very significant, a fact which is hard to explain. Data about the effect of variation of cooling rate and step function cooling is also presented, and it is concluded, though not in a definite manner, that rectangular step function cooling is as effective as continuous rate cooling in deciding magnetoelectric susceptibility of the sample.For dynamic studies, again the dielectric constant method is used, and measurements are reported at different frequencies for a sample with possibly a large number of domains. Two resonant peaks in the dielectric constant are observed and they are tentatively explained on the basis of domain wall resonance.  相似文献

High temperature power series valid for general spin and including second-neighbour interactions are given for the physical susceptibility of the three cubic lattices and for the staggered susceptibility of some antiferromagnetic orderings of the body-centred and face-centred lattices. Data for the low-frequency magnetic susceptibility of a rotating magnetic fluid measured in a permanent bias field are presented. It is found that the susceptibility of the medium resonantly grows when the rotation frequency coincides with the measuring field frequency. A detailed procedure for the calculation of the third-harmonic-generation susceptibility tensor is given in special asymmetric quantum wells, and an analytic formula for the third-harmonic-generation susceptibility is obtained by the compact density matrix approach and the iterative procedure. Finally, the numerical results are presented for typical GaAs/AlGaAs asymmetric quantum wells. The calculated results show that the origin of the large thirdharmonic-generation susceptibility is due to the increase in asymmetry of the quantum well.  相似文献

A dispersion theory for linear optical properties of two-phase layered-geometry nanocomposites is presented. Generalized dispersion relations and sum rules are stated using the results from complex analysis. The concept of Lorentzian linear susceptibility is exploited in theoretical treatment of the effective linear susceptibility of the nanocomposite. The meromorphism of total reflectance in the case of effective meromorphic nonlinear susceptibility was observed.  相似文献

针对电磁干扰(EMI)导致电子系统关键功能单元行为失效或安全问题,研究基于供电网络传导耦合的核心可编程集成电路(IC)电磁敏感(EMS)特性。分析典型FPGA供电网络的拓扑结构及其EMI传导耦合机理,设计基于EMI直接功率注入法的敏感度测试平台,测试受试芯片供电网络EMI传导耦合时典型功能单元的EMS特性,获取输入输出端口(IO)、逻辑单元(LE)、内部锁相环电路(PLL)等功能单元的敏感度阈值,给出LE冗余设计对相应电路EMS特性的影响规律。结果表明,在10 MHz~1 GHz干扰频率范围内,供电网络EMI敏感度由高到低依次为PLL,LE,IO,且IC地网络EMI敏感度高2~7 dBmW,LE冗余设计能有效改善逻辑功能单元电磁敏感度。  相似文献

In this Letter we report the local density approximation with dynamical mean field theory results for magnetic properties of the parent superconductor LaFeAsO in the paramagnetic phase. Calculated uniform magnetic susceptibility shows linear dependence at intermediate temperatures in agreement with experimental data. Contributions to the temperature dependence of the uniform susceptibility are strongly orbitally dependent. For high temperatures (>1000 K) susceptibility first saturates and then decreases with temperature. Our results demonstrate that linear-temperature dependence of static magnetic susceptibility in pnictide superconductors can be reproduced without invoking antiferromagnetic fluctuations.  相似文献

Exact expressions for the isothermal and frequency-dependent perpendicular susceptibilities are obtained for the alternating Ising model in an external longitudinal field. It is shown that even for vanishing field the isolated perpendicular susceptibility is identical to the isothermal one. 本文主要研究了一个特殊非对称量子阱中的二阶非线性光学极化率,并且利用量子力学中的密度矩阵算符理论和迭代方法导出了二次谐波极化率的解析表达式.最后,以典型的GaAs/AlGaAs非对称量子阱为例作了数值计算.数值结果表明,较大的二次谐波极化率与系统的非对称性有关,系统的非对称性越大,二次谐波极化率越大.  相似文献

A qualitative analysis of the transverse neutron inelastic cross section for the Hubbard model withs?d hybridization in the framework of RPA is considered. The poles of the transverse generalized spin susceptibility are studied. It is found that the acoustic spin wave pole exists among the set of poles of dynamical spin susceptibility and that the non-interacting susceptibility determines the four quasi-Stoner continuum.  相似文献

Fidelity and fidelity susceptibility are introduced to investigate the topological superconductors with end Majorana fermions. A general formalism is established to calculate the fidelity and fidelity susceptibility by solving Bogoliubov–de Gennes equations. Both clean and disordered systems are studied within this formalism, and the results show that the fidelity susceptibility serves as a valid indicator for the topological quantum phase transition which signals the appearance of Majorana fermions. Our study provides a useful tool to investigate the topological quantum phase transition in superconductors, which is helpful to find topological phases in various systems.  相似文献

We develop the perturbation theory of the fidelity susceptibility in biorthogonal bases for arbitrary interacting non-Hermitian many-body systems with real eigenvalues. The quantum criticality in the non-Hermitian transverse field Ising chain is investigated by the second derivative of the ground-state energy and the ground-state fidelity susceptibility. We show that the system undergoes a second-order phase transition with the Ising universal class by numerically computing the critical points and the critical exponents from the finite-size scaling theory. Interestingly, our results indicate that the biorthogonal quantum phase transitions are described by the biorthogonal fidelity susceptibility instead of the conventional fidelity susceptibility.  相似文献
