Low-lying intrinsic states and their associated rotational bands have been identified in 177Os and 179Os. They are the mixed i132 neutron states and the 12?[521] states in 177Os and 179Os, as well as the 52?[512] state in 177Os and the 72?[514] state in 179Os. The 12? sta is assumed to be the ground state, the other intrinsic states giving rise to isomers. The in-band decay properties of the 72?[514] band, and the i132 bands show the effect of mixing. In the rotational bands in 177Os a low frequency backbending anomaly is observed but no anomaly is observed in the i132. band. In 179Os the i132 band does backbend but at a higher frequency than in the yrast bands of the even neighbours. The systematics of the backbending frequencies, and the effects of blocking, are discussed. The rotation aligned angular momentum is deduced, and a comparison made between the i132 bands and the s-bands in the even neighbours. The results broadly support the identification of the s-bands with the aligned (i132)2 configuration.  相似文献

The γ-ray cascades following the 176Yb(p, 2n)175Lu reaction are studied with Ge(Li) detectors and interpreted within the level scheme of 175Lu. According to this interpretation the 12+[411], 12?[541], 52+[402], 72+[404] and 92?[514] rotat 152+, 212?, 132+, 192+ and 192? members, respectively. Fu band head is determined to be 626.6 keV. The data for the rotational bands are discussed within the particle-rotor model and compared with the available information on the corresponding bands in the adjacent Lu isotopes.  相似文献

High spin rotational states in 154Dy, 164Er and 162Yb have been investigated with (α, 4nγ) and (α, 6nγ) reactions. The ground state rotational bands have been identified up to spin 14 for 154Dy and 162Yb and spin 16 for 164Er. Anomalous behaviour of the moment of inertia has been observed in 164Er.  相似文献

The ground-state rotational band in 181Ta has been observed up to a spin of 212+ using Coulomb excitation with 84Kr ions. The nuclear lifetimes of the band members have been determined from the Doppler-broadened lineshapes of the de-excitation γ-rays, and the angular distributions of the γ-rays have been measured. It is found that the E2 transition rates from higher spin states (≧ 172+) are retarded relative to the rotational model predictions. A suggestion is made that this retardation may be due to the Coriolis antipairing effect.  相似文献

The depopulation of isomeric states in 176Lu and 182Ta was studied in the (n, γ) reaction by means of delayed γ-γ coincidence measurements with NaI(Tl) and Ge(Li) detectors. The following half-lives, unknown so far, have been obtained for 176Lu: T12(198.0 keV) = 35.0 ± 1.0 ns, T12(638.8 keV) = 8.0±1.0 ns and T12(662.1 keV) = 6.3±0.5 ns; and for 182Ta: T12(270.4 keV) = 1.2 ± 0.2 ns, T12(402.6 keV) = 1.00 ± 0.05 ns and T12(443.6 keV) = 2.2 ± 0.2 ns. The existence of the isomeric level at 443.6 keV in 182Ta was confirmed. Weisskopf hindrance factors have been deduced for the K- and Ω-forbidden transitions. The K-allowed transitions are considered in terms of the Nilsson model taking into account pairing correlations. The experimental results for the transitions de-exciting the 270.4 keV level in 182Ta agree with earlier model predictions including band mixing effects. The influence of the pairing effect on K-allowed E1 transitions in doubly odd nuclei is demonstrated.  相似文献

Yields for the reaction 181Ta(γ, π+)181Hf have been measured by an activation method using bremsstrahlung radiation with end-point energies in the range 150–360 MeV. The data have been unfolded to give cross section results corresponding to bombarding with monoenergetic photons. A comparison is made with respect to previous results and a semiclassical cascade-model calculation.  相似文献

The transient magnetic field IMPAC technique was used to measure the magnetic moments of high-spin states above the rotational band of 168Hf and 172Hf, populated in the reactions 156, 160Gd(16O, 4n). The average g-factors of these prerotational feeding states were deduced to be 0.07 ± 0.04 and 0.14 ± 0.04 for 168Hf and 172Hf, respectively. These results are in agreement with a reduction of the collective g-factors due to a neutron phase transition.  相似文献

The 12?[521] and72+[633] one-quasiparticle bands in the N = 99 nucleus 171Hf have been identified to spins of about 452 using (heavy ion, xn) reactions. The moments of inertia of these bands are consistent with the absence of backbending in the N = 98 core nucleus. The half-life of the 52?[512] intrinsic state was measured as 63.6 ns. The strength of the 52?[512] → 72+[633] E1 transition is discussed. Two three-quasiparticle isomers with spins and parities 192+and232? have been identified and their suggested configurations are a 72+[633] neutron added to the 6+ and 8? two-quasiproton states of the core. The moment of inertia of a rotational band based on the 232? isomer supports this suggestion, and shows the effect of partial rotation alignment of the i132 neutron.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for elastic and inelastic Raman scattering from 175Lu and 181Ta were measured. Five photon energies between 8.5 and 11.4 MeV were used and were obtained from the (n, γ) reaction on Ni and Cr using thermal neutrons. The results are compared with calculations using a modified simple rotator model (SRM) of the giant dipole resonance (GDR) in which the effect of Delbrück scattering was incorporated. In general, fair agreement between theory and experiment is obtained. A new set of GDR parameters is extracted, based on photon scattering data and, as expected, yield better agreement between experimental and predicted cross sections.  相似文献

Reactions of 40Ar ions with targets of 159Tb, 142Nd, and 144Sm have been studied at energies below 300 MeV with a helium gas-jet system. Excitation functions for (Ar, xn) reactions, where x = 5–10, were obtained for the radioactive products that decay by α-emission. Based on the characteristics of these excitation functions and on the systematics of α-decay, evidence is presented for the existence of the nuclides 189Bi with α-particle energy Eα = 6.67±0.01 MeV and half-life < 1.5 sec, and 173Pt with Eα = 6.19±0.01 MeV; and for the emission from 177Au of an α-particle with Eα = 6.15±0.01 MeV.  相似文献

The isotopes 107Sn and 107In were produced through the 106Cd(3He, 2n)107Sn and 106Cd(3He, pn)107In reactions. They were studied by means of γ-spectroscopy, excitation functions, γγ coincidences and angular distributions of γ-rays. A level scheme is proposed for the newly discovered 107Sn, and new states belonging to 107In are given. Microscopic calculations have been performed in a three-quasiparticle approximation for a large number of tin isotopes in order to get a wide view of the systematic evolution of the various states.  相似文献

Protons accelerated to 30 MeV were used to investigate low-lying states in the odd-odd nuclei 138La and 140Pr with (p, d) reactions. The elastic scattering of 30 MeV protons and 23 MeV deuterons was also studied to determine optical potentials. Experimental angular distributions are compared with distorted-wave Born approximation calculations to extract spin, parity, and spectroscopic factors for levels up to 432 keV of excitation in 140Pr and 530 keV in 138La. Comparisons with the simple shell-model predictions and extended shell-model calculations are presented. The 140Pr levels appear experimentally to have an almost pure particle-hole structure whereas the 138La levels exhibit substantial mixing.  相似文献

High-spin states of 39K and 42Ca have been investigated with the 28Si(16O, αpγ)39K and 28Si(16O, 2pγ)42Ca reactions at a beam energy of 45 MeV. Gamma-gamma coincidence, γ-ray angular distribution and linear polarization measurements were performed with a Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) Compton suppression spectrometer and a three-crystal Ge(Li) Compton polarimeter. High-spin states of 39K at Ex = 7.14,7.78and8.03 and of 42Ca at Ex = 7.75MeV are established. Unambiguous spin-parity assignments of Jπ = 112?, 132?, 152+, 152?, 172+and192? to the 39K levels at Ex = 5.35, 5.72, 6.48, 7.14, 7.78 and 8.03 MeV and of 6?, 7?, 8?, 9? and(8, 10)? to the 42Ca levels at Ex = 5.49, 6.15, 6.41, 6.55 and 7.37 MeV, respectively, have been obtained. Further spin-parity restrictions, lifetime limits, excitation energies, branching ratios and multipole mixing ratios are reported. Discrepancies with previous Jπ assignments are discussed in detail.  相似文献

High-spin states of 58Ni were investigated via the study of in-beam γ-ray induced by the compound reaction 48Ti(12C, 2n)58Ni between 26 and 48 MeV. The energies and decay modes of these levels were determined from the analysis of γ-γ coincidence measurements at 35 MeV. The most intense lines in the 58Ni γ-ray spectrum correspond to a cascade to the ground state, through levels at 1.454, 2.459, 3.619 and 4.381 MeV, also fed in other reactions, and by two previously unknown levels at 5.125 and 5.662 MeV; the spin assignments based on the present study are (apart from the ground state) 2, 4, 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively for these levels. The first three were already known and the last three are new. The mixing ratios for the transitions between these levels are also determined. We observe also the same cascade in the reaction 56Fe(α, 2n)58Ni at an incident energy 18–24 MeV. Comparisons with other reactions, previous studies and recent shell-model calculations are presented.  相似文献

High-spin states in 38K are investigated with the 24Mg(16O, pnγ)38K reaction at E(16O) = 36–44 MeV. A recently developed Compton-suppression spectrometer with 120 msr solid angle and a pulsed beam are employed to study their γ-decay. For the E4 transition from the isomeric level at Ex = 3458 keV to the ground state a branching ratio of (0.15 ± 0.02)% is found. On the basis of angular distribution and polarization measurements, in which the delayed feeding component is eliminated, spin-parity assignments are obtained of Jπ(2646 keV) = (2, 4)?, Jπ(3420 keV) = (4, 6)? and Jπ(3458 keV) = (5, 7)+. Prompt-delayed and prompt γγ coincidence experiments are performed to locate high-spin levels above the isomer. Hitherto unobserved levels of high spin are found at Ex = 5254, 7397, 8693, 8747 and 10980 keV and assignments of Jπ = (9+), (10?), (12?), (11?) and (13?) respectively, are suggested by weak-coupling considerations. The experimental results are compared with a large-scale shell-model calculation performed in a configuration space with a 28Si core and ten active particles distributed over the (2s12, 1d32, 1f72, 2p32) shells. The high-spin states appear to have a rather simple shell-model structure.  相似文献

The yrast decay scheme of 208Rn has been investigated up to spin ≈ 20h? and an excitation energy of ≈ 6 MeV. Several different γ-ray spectroscopic techniques were used to determine the properties of excited states and transitions in the nucleus. Significant changes to the previously established level scheme are proposed, based on the existence of an unobserved 3.1 keV transition. Simple empirical shell-model calculations of level energies aided in the assignment of shell-model configurations to excited states and the decay scheme is discussed in terms of these configurations. The energy level systematics for the even radon isotopes, from A = 206 to 212 are discussed, as are core polarization effects in the even radon isotopes (A = 204 to 210) and polonium isotopes (A = 202–208).  相似文献

Excited states in 216Ra have been studied using in-beam spectroscopic techniques. The reactions used were 208Pb(12C, 4n)216Ra and 208Pb(13C, 5n)216Ra at 80 and 95 MeV, respectively. The level scheme of 216Ra was extended up to the (28?) state at 6266 keV. Two new isomers, whose mean lives are 8.7 ± 0.6 ns and 9.7 ± 0.9 ns, were found to be the 19? state at 3763 keV and the (25?) state at 5170 keV. Levels up to the (25 ?) state in 216Ra are interpreted as arising from the weak coupling of two neutrons to the excited states in 214Ra.  相似文献

The 152Sm(t, α)151Pm reaction was studied using 17 MeV polarized tritons from the tandem Van de Graaff accelerator at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory. The α-particles were analyzed using a Q3D magnetic spectrometer and detected with a helical-cathode position-sensitive counter. The overall resolution was ~ 18 keV FWHM. Measurements of the 150Nd(3He, d)151Pm reaction were made using 24 MeV 3He beams from the McMaster University tandem accelerator. The deuteron spectra were analyzed with a magnetic spectrograph using photographic emulsions for detectors, yielding a resolution of ~ 13 keV FWHM. By comparing the measured angular distributions of (t, α) and (3He, d) cross sections and (t, α) analyzing powers with DWBA predictions it was possible to assign spins and parities to many levels. The present results confirm earlier assignments of rotational bands based on the low-lying 52+ [413], 52?[532], 32+ [411] and12+ [420] orbitals. In addition, states at higher excitation have now been assigned to the 12+[411] and72+ [404] orbitals, and members of the 32+[422], 52+ [402], 32? [541] and72? [523] bands are tentatively proposed. The spectroscopic strengths can be explained reasonably well by the Nilsson model when pairing and Coriolis mixing effects are included.  相似文献

High-spin yrast states in 34Cl have been studied with the reactions 31P(α, nγ)34Cl at Eα = 11.7?16.3 MeV and 24Mg(12C, pnγ)34Cl at E(12C) = 32–35 MeV. Ambiguities in the 34Cl level scheme for levels at Ex = 4.82 and 5.32 MeV have been resolved through combination of threshold measurements with the 31P + α reaction and gamma-gamma coincidence and Eγ-measurements with the 24Mg + 12C reaction. Gamma-gamma coincidence and in-beam γ-γ angular correlation experiments have been performed employing a Compton-suppression spectrometer with a solid angle of 120 msr.Unambiguous spin-parity assignments of Jπ = 6?, 5+ and 7+ to the 34Cl levels at Ex = 4.74, 4.82 and 5.32 MeV, respectively, are obtained.Previously unreported levels of high spin are found at Ex = 7.25 and 7.80 MeV with Jπ = (9+) and (8+); τm = 200 ± 70 fs and 100 ± 70 fs, respectively. Excitation energies, mean lives, branching ratios and multipole mixing ratios are reported. The experimental results are compared with large-scale shell-model calculations. The high-spin yrast levels can be characterized by a rather simple shell-model structure.  相似文献

The high-spin states in 90Nb have been studied by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy using the 35 MeV 89Y(α, 3nγ)90Nb and 33 MeV 90Zr(3He, p2nγ)90Nb reactions. A new isomeric state with half-life 0.44±0.02 σs and Jπ = 11? has been located in this nucleus. The level scheme derived from these measurements is compared with shell-model calculations.  相似文献
