A parametric analysis of the Stark-split spectra of Nd3+ in frozen dilute aqueous solutions of neodymium chloride has been carried out.The similarity of the spectra of Nd3+ in frozen dilute solutions and in crystals, where the ion is nine-fold coordinated and of approximate D3h symmetry (Nd3+: LaCl3, neodymium ethylsulfate and bromate), was used to obtain initial parameter values. Simultaneous diagonalization of the free ion and crystal field hamiltonians resulted in a r.m.s. deviation σ of 11 cm?1 for 50 levels. The resulting crystal field parameters are B20 = 278 ± 19, B40 = ?201 ± 39, Bb0 = ?946 ± 55 and B66 = 663 ± 43 cm?1. Selection rules for D3h are approximately obeyed. The small value of σ, the number of levels accounted for and the fact that the final parameters are not very different from those in the crystals indicate a nine-fold coordination of approximate D3h symmetry for Nd3+ in frozen aqueous solutions. The spectra of liquid solutions show by their similarity to the spectra of frozen solutions that the same surroundings exist in the liquid.  相似文献

Growth of terbium aluminate single crystals and investigation of Nd3+ ion spectroscopic properties in them are described. Detailed investigation of absorption and luminescence spectra of Nd3+ ions in TbAlO3 at T = 77 and 300°K permits obtainment of a complete diagram of the Stark components energy. The spectral-structural regularities of Nd3+ ions in orthoaluminate monocrystals are analyzed. The dependence on interionic distance of the position of the center of gravity of the ground terms of Nd3+ ion along with the nephelauxetic shift of 4F32 term of Nd3+ ion is investigated.  相似文献

通过多步骤的化学法合成了Gd2O3:Yb3+,Nd3+,Tm3+/SiO2/Ag纳米复合材料。利用XRD,TEM,EDS,XPS,CLSM等方法对样品进行表征。实验结果表明,具有低声子能、稳定的化学性质的Gd2O3作为上转换发光的基质,当掺杂的敏化剂Nd3+离子浓度为1.0%(n/n),激活剂离子Tm3+浓度为0.5%(n/n)时,上转换发光强度达到最大值。此外,表面吸附的Ag纳米颗粒,由于表面等离激元共振耦合作用,使得上转换发光蓝光波段的强度增强1.70倍。  相似文献

The features of fluorescent glass solar collectors are discussed. Combination of Nd3+ and Yb3+ in high refractive index glasses is suggested as concentration material. Energy absorbed by Nd3+ is transferred with high efficiency to Yb3+ emitting at 970 nm. The self-absorption of Nd3+ is eliminated and long-wavelength emission at 1.06 μm decreased as a result of energy transfer.  相似文献

Two new ternary compounds BaNd2Ti3O10 (1:1:3) and BaNd2Ti5O14 (1:1:5) have been identified in the BaONd2O3TiO2 system. Single crystals of the compounds were grown and unit cell dimensions and space group symmetry were determined. BaNd2Ti3O10 is orthorhombic with a = 3.8655 ± 0.0003, b = 28.156 ± 0.003 and c = 7.6221 ± 0.0007 Å and possible space groups are Cmcm or Cmc2. The compound melts congruently at 1640 ± 20°C. BaNd2Ti5O14 is also orthorhombic with a = 22.346 ± 0.002, b = 12.201 ± 0.001 and c = 3.8404 ± 0.0003 Å and possible space groups are Pbam and Pba2. This compound melts congruently at 1540 ± 20°C. Single crystals of the binary compound Nd4Ti9O24 were also grown and found to be orthorhombic with a = 35.289 ± 0.003, b = 13.991 ± 0.001, c = 14.479 ± 0.001 Å, space group Fddd.  相似文献

Magnetic and electrical properties are investigated for quaternary neodymium sulfides BaNd2TS5 (T=Co, Zn) through the specific heat, neutron diffraction, and electrical conductivity measurements. Their electrical conductivities show semiconductive behavior, which follows the Arrhenius temperature dependence with the activation energy of Ea=1.46 eV for BaNd2ZnS5 and Ea=1.19 eV for BaNd2CoS5. The specific heat of BaNd2ZnS5 has a λ-type anomaly at 2.8 K due to the antiferromagnetic ordering of the Nd3+ moments and a Schottky-type anomaly at around 60 K, which results from the crystal field splitting of the 4I9/2 ground state of the Nd3+ ion. The specific heat of BaNd2CoS5 shows two λ-type anomalies at 5.7 K due to the antiferromagnetic ordering of Nd3+ and at 58 K due to the antiferromagnetic ordering of Co2+. The latter overlaps with the Schottky-type anomaly due to the crystal field splitting of the Nd3+ ion. Neutron diffraction measurements for BaNd2CoS5 show that a magnetic arrangement of the Co2+ moments has a collinear antiferromagnetic structure, while that of the Nd3+ moments has a noncollinear one.  相似文献

In this work, we present for the first time the spectroscopic properties of perovskite nanocrystals CaTiO3: Nd3+, measured at room and liquid nitrogen temperature. Samples were prepared by the sol–gel method and annealed at 700 and 1000 °C. The concentration of Nd3+ ranged from 0.5% to 5%. Average nanocrystallite size primarily depends on the annealed temperature and is about 25 and 50 nm for 700 and 1000 °C, respectively. The absorption, emission and excitation spectra (monitored at 1078 nm) as well as the decay time profile of the emission from the 4F3/2 energy level of Nd3+ are obtained. The increasing amount of Nd3+ ions decreases the lifetime of the 4F3/2 level and that changes from 146 μs for 0.5% to 50 μs for 5% of Nd3+ concentration. The strongest emission was observed at two regions: 1050–1120 nm and 865–930 nm and was assigned to the 4F3/24I11/2 and 4F3/24I9/2 transitions, respectively. The spectroscopic quality parameter of neodymium in the CaTiO3 lattice has been calculated from the emission spectra. The influence of luminescent properties depending on the annealing temperature and concentration of neodymium ions is discussed.  相似文献

The CL spectra of the title reactions and their pressure dependences have been studied over the 5 × 10?6 ? 5 × 10?3 torr range in a beam-gas experiment. In the Sm + N2O, O3 and Yb + O3 reactions simple bimolecular formation of the short lived (radiative lifetime τR < 3 × 10?6 s) MO* emitters dominates the entire pressure range. In the other systems Sm + (F2, Cl2), Yb + (F2, Cl2) the CL spectra are strongly pressure dependent, indicating extensive energy transfer from long-lived intermediates. Reaction mechanisms are suggested. The quantum yields Φ, obtained by calibrating relative quantum yields with Dickson and Zare's absolute value for Sm + N2O [Chem. Phys. 7 (1975) 367], range from Φ = 2.3% (for Sm + F2, the most efficient reaction) down to Φ = 0.005% for Yb + Cl2. The following lower limit estimates were obtained for the product dissociation energies from the short wavelength CL cutoffs: D00(SmF) ? 121.3 ± 2.4 kcal/mole, D00(SmCl) ? ? 100 ± 3 kcal/mole, D00(YbO) ? 94.2 ± 1.5 kcal/moie, D00(YbF) ? 123.7 ± 2.3 kcal/mole.  相似文献

The formation constants and the respective variations of enthalpy were obtained by means of calorimetric titration of the lanthanides La3+ and Nd3+ with bromide and nitrate in N,N-dimethylacetamide. These thermochemical data were calculated for the 1:1 and 1:2 species which are less stable than the corresponding species obtained with chloride. The order of stability Cl? > Br?>NO3? was established for both species of La3+, and the order Br?>Cl?>LNO3? for 1:1 species of Nd3+. NdCl2+ and NdBr2+ species were not detected. Our results support the view that the metal-anion interactions involve inner sphere species.  相似文献

Measurement of the magnetic hyperfine interaction in paramagnetic Fe2+ in ZnF2 and MgF2 by Mössbauer spectroscopy is reported. The results, ?275 ± 3 kOe and ?270 ± 3 kOe for ZnF2:Fe2+ and MgF2:Fe2+ respectively are compared with a previous analysis of hyperfine interactions in the rutile fluorides.  相似文献

The mobilities of mass-identified H+3 and HeH+ ions in helium and the reaction rate coefficient for HeH+ + H2 → H+3 + He have been measured by a drift-tube quadrupole mass spectrometer at 300 K. The zero-field reduced mobilities of H+3 and HeH+ ions, corrected to 273 K, are 31.0 ± 0.8 and 23.4 ± 0.6 cm2 V?1 s?1 respectively. The reaction rate coefficient was found to be (1.26 + 0.16) × 10?9 cm3s?1 and was observed to be independent of the mean ion kinetic energy in the range from 0.04 to 0.3 eV.  相似文献

The solubility boundaries for Nd2O3 and manganese oxides in NdMnO3 ± δ have been determined by X-ray powder diffraction analysis of homogeneous phases and heterogeneous compositions of the general formula Nd2 ? x Mn x O3 ± δ (0.90 ≤ x ≤ 1.20; Δx = 0.02) prepared by ceramic technology from constituent oxides in air in the temperature range 900–1400°C. The results are presented in the form of a fragment of the Nd-Mn-O phase diagram in air. It is suggested that the Nd2O3 solubility in NdMnO3 ± δ is due to crystal defects and the solubility of manganese oxides is in addition due to the disproportionation reaction 2Mn3+ = Mn2+ + Mn4+ and the subsequent partial substitution of divalent for tervalent manganese ions in the cuboctahedral positions of the perovskite-like crystal lattice. To verify this suggestion, it is necessary to systematically study the oxygen nonstoichiometry δ in Nd2 ? x Mn x O3 ± δ as a function of x and synthesis temperature and structurally study this oxide with these parameters being varied.  相似文献

NaLa(WO4)2 powders doped with Eu3+, Nd3+, and Er3+ have been synthesized by a mild hydrothermal method and a crystal of exclusive scheelite phase could be obtained at low temperature. From the spectrum of Eu3+ it has been concluded that the dopant Eu3+ ion occupies a La3+ site and mainly takes the site with C2 symmetry. The higher quenching concentration can be observed in the Eu3+-doped NaLa(WO4)2 powders. The Er3+- and Nd3+-doped NaLa(WO4)2 powders exhibit luminescence in the near infrared (Er3+ at 1550 nm, and Nd3+ at 1060 nm). The transition mechanism of the up-conversion luminescence of the Er3+-doped NaLa(WO4)2 powders can be ascribed to two photons absorption process.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the deficient perovskite Nd1/3NbO3 has been determined at room temperature, using electron microscopy observations and X-ray powder diffraction data. Electron diffraction study and HRTEM images evidence the doubling of a and b parameters and confirm one of the c-parameter with respect to perovskite unit cell. The structure refinement has been carried out using the orthorhombic Cmmm space group. The Nd3+ cations occupy randomly and alternatively the (00l) planes and Nb5+ cations distorted octahedral sites. This structure is characterized by the presence of empty Nd3+ sites in every second layer and the tilting of the octahedral sites around the b-axis. In addition, electron diffraction patterns exhibit weak additional diffuse reflections, which supposes some ordering of the Nd vacancies.  相似文献

Two pure light rare earth iron garnets Pr3Fe5O12 and Nd3Fe5O12 single crystals were synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction methods. Both compounds crystallize in cubic space group Ia3?d with lattice parameters a=12.670(2) Å for Pr3Fe5O12 and a=12.633(2) Å for Nd3Fe5O12, respectively. The synthesis of compounds was studied with regard to phase evolution and morphology development with hydrothermal conditions. We proposed the formation mechanisms and formulated a reasonable explanation for their growth habits. Ferrimagnetic Curie temperatures which have been inferred from thermo-magnetization curves were 580 K for Pr3Fe5O12 and 565 K for Nd3Fe5O12, and the transitions of long range order were also evidenced by differential scanning calorimetry method. The result of magnetic properties has shown that moments of the large radius Pr3+ and Nd3+ ions are parallelly coupled with net moments of iron ions.  相似文献

The rate constants for the reactions OH(X2Π, ν = O) + NH3k1 H2O + NH2 and OH(X2Π, ν = O) + O3k2 → HO2 + O2 were measured at 298°K by the flash photolysis resonance fluorescence technique. The values of the rate constants thus obtained are K1 = (4.1 ± 0.6) × 10?14 and k2 = (6.5 ± 1.0) × 10?14 in units of cm3 molecule ?1 sec1. The results are discussed in terms of understanding the dynamics of the perturbed stratosphere.  相似文献

The vibrational analysis of the CN(B2Σ+ → X2Σ+) emission sensitized by Hg(63P0) metastables has shown that the energy transfer process, Hg(63P0) + CN(X2Σ+) → Hg(61S0) + CN(B2Σ+), populates the CN(B2Σ+) state in a non-Franck-Condon fashion. The relative vibrational populations for the ν = 0 to 4 states are 1.00, 0.56 ± 0.06, 0.26 ± 0.03, 0.11 ± 0.03 and 0.04 ± 0.01, respectively. Long-range attractive interaction between the Hg(63P0) atom and the CN(X2Σ+) radical is evidenced by the observed high rotational excitation of the CN(B2Σ+) radical following the energy transfer process.  相似文献

La3NbO7 and Nd3NbO7 are insulating compounds that have an orthorhombic weberite-type crystal structure and undergo a phase transition at about 360 and 450 K, respectively. The nature of the phase transitions was investigated via heat capacity measurements, synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffraction experiments. It is here shown that above the phase transition temperature, the compounds possess a weberite-type structure described by space group Cmcm (No. 63). Below the phase transition, the high temperature phase transforms into a weberite-type structure with space group Pmcn (No. 62). The phase transformation primarily involves the off-center shifting of Nb5+ ions inside the NbO6 octahedra, combined with shifts of one third of the Ln3+ (Ln3+=La3+ and Nd3+) ions at the center of the LnO8 polyhedra towards off-center positions. The phase transition was also proven to have great impacts on the dielectric properties.  相似文献

EPR studies of Gd3+ doped in single crystals of Nd2(SO4)3·(NH4)2SO4·8H2O (hereafter referred to as NASO) at room (RT) and liquid nitrogen (LNT) temperatures exhibit that (1) the metal aquo complex has a tetragonal symmetry with abnormally low magnitudes of crystalline field parameters at RT and (2) NASO undergoes a possible phase transition between RT and LNT.  相似文献
