The far-field properties and beam quality of vectorial nonparaxial Hermite–Laguerre–Gaussian (HLG) beams are studied in detail, where, instead of the second-order-moments-based M2 factor, the extended power in the bucket (PIB) and βparameter are used to characterize the beam quality in the far field and the intensity in the formulae is replaced by the z component of the time-averaged Poynting vector Sz. It is found that the Sz PIB and βparameter of vectorial nonparaxial HLG beams depend on the mode indices n, m, αparameter and waist-width-to-wavelength ratio w0/λ and the PIB and βparameter are additionally dependent on the bucket's size taken.  相似文献

The focal shift and focal switch of Bessel–Gaussian (B–G) beams passing through a lens system with or without aperture is studied in detail. For the unapertured case, the necessary condition for the focal switch and the expression for the amplitude of the focal switch are derived. It is shown that if the truncation parameter δδc or beam parameter ββc (δc, βc are the corresponding critical values), there exits only one axial intensity maximum, and the focusing without focal shift can be achieved for u/f=1 (u is the separation between the aperture and lens, f is the focal length of the lens); if δ>δc and β>βc, there exist two axial intensity maxima, and the focal switch can take place at the turning point u/f=1 for both apertured and unapertured cases. The dependence of the amplitude of focal switch and normalized axial intensity minimum on the truncation parameter, beam parameter and Fresnel number is also studied.  相似文献

This work examines the motion of an electron in an electromagnetic field consisting of the field of two plane electromagnetic waves of different frequencies 1, 2 and an electric fieldE'=(E0 + E3cos3)e3. The method of separation of variables is used to construct the solution of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation. The reactions of fullerene[C60] with 2′-azidoethyl 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-α-d-mannopyranoside (2a) and 2′-azidoethyl 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-d-galactopyranoside (2b) under ultrasonic irradiation cause the cycloaddition of 2′-azidoethyl glycosides to fullerene[C60] and lead to d-glycosyl fullerene[C60] derivatives 3a and 3b, respectively. The glycosyl fullerene[C60] derivatives were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, UV–vis, FAB-MS, FT-IR spectra and were a 1:1 glycoside fullerene [C60]-adduct.  相似文献

The equation of motion dM/dtM×B(t) is solved for the case B(t)=jBp(t)+kBe. The field Be is a small static field, typically the earth’s field. The field Bp(t) decays exponentially toward zero with time constant T. This decay is produced by an overdamped switching transient that occurs near the end of the rapid cutoff of the coil current used to polarize the sample. It is assumed that Bp is initially large compared to Be, and that magnetization M is initially along the resultant field B. Exact solutions are obtained numerically for several decay time constants of Bp, and the motion of M is depicted graphically. It is found that for adiabatic passage, the final cone angle β of the precession in field Be is related to the decay time constant of Bp by β=2e−(π/2)ωeT. This is confirmed by measurements of the amplitudes of the ensuing free-precession signals for various decay rates of Bp. Near-perfect adiabatic passage (magnetization aligned within 2° of the earth’s field) can be achieved for time constants T2.6/ωe. For the case of sudden passage, an approximate analytic solution is developed by linearizing the equation of motion in the laboratory frame of reference. For the adiabatic case, an approximate analytic solution is obtained by linearizing the equation of motion in a rotating frame of reference that follows the resultant field B=Bp+Be.  相似文献

The stability and convergence of the inverse spectroscopic problem is investigated for diatomic molecules in the1 electron state for a potential representation by series in the Dunham variable zd=(r-re)/re, the Ogilvie-Tipping zot=(r-re)/(r + re), the Simmond-Parr-Finlan zS= (r-re)/r and the Tucker zt=sign (p)[1 -(re/r)P]. None among the representations under investigation was that which would give a significant systematic improvement in stability as compared with others. The convergence is related to the selection of the initial approximation in the method of least squares, and is practically independent of the functional form of the potential. The focal switch of Hermite–Gaussian beams diffracted at an aperture and subsequently focused by a spherically aberrated lens is studied. Our main attention is focused on the effect of quartic-phase aberrations on the behavior of the focal switch. It is shown that quartic-phase aberrations affect the relative focal shift Δzf, turning position s1,t, and relative transition height Δzsw. Apart from a critical maximum truncation parameter αc,max, there is a critical minimum truncation parameter αc,min. Within the region αc,min<α<αc,max the focal switch can take place, but quartic-phase aberrations give rise to a decrease of αc,max-αc,min in comparison with the aberration-free case.  相似文献

The optical transmission spectra of amorphous (a-) Se1−xInx films, with x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.18 and 0.35, that prepared by thermal evaporation from their corresponding bulk ingots, are recorded over the spectral region of 500–2500 nm. A simple straight forward procedure proposed by Swanepeol has been applied to determine the two components of the complex refractive index (). The dispersion of is examined in terms of the Wemple and DiDomenico model and is discussed in terms of In-content. An estimation of various optical parameters such as, the optical energy gap (Eg = 1.96–1.33 eV), single oscillator energy (Eo = 3.95–3.16 eV), oscillator dispersion energy (Ed = 22.6–31.6 eV), lattice oscillator strength (El = 0.38–0.61 eV) and wavelength at zero material dispersion (λc = 2.0569–2.0879 μm) have been given and discussed in relation to the coordination number, hydrostatic density and formed chemical bonds that are introduced in the network of a-Se with the introduction of up to 35 at.% In.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement dynamics and decoherence of a two-qubit system under a quantum spin environment at finite temperature in the thermodynamics limit. For the case under study, we find different initial states will result in different entanglement evolution, what deserves mentioning here is that the state |Ψ=cosα|01+sinα|10 is most robust than other states when π/2<α<π, since the entanglement remains unchanged or increased under the spin environment. In addition, we also find the anisotropy parameter Δ can suppress the destruction of decoherence induced by the environment, and the undesirable entanglement sudden death arising from the process of entanglement evolution can be efficiently controlled by the inhomogeneous magnetic field ζ.  相似文献

Studies of the behaviour with 1, 2 and film thickness of the optical functions reflectance (R) and phase change on reflection (Φr) have previously been made for both very thin and very thick films. Abelès [J. Opt. Soc. Amer. 47 (1957) 473] has formulated equations for very thin films where functions of 1 and 2 are the coefficients of a power series of the optical thickness, x(2πd/λ) up to x2, whilst in the case of very thick films (solids) the relationships between 1 and 2 can be represented in polar coordinates L and α by 1=L cos α, 2=L sin α where LR=2y20W2(1+cos α−1/W2) [W=(1+R)/(1−R)] and LΦr=2(y0/ tan Φr)2(1−cos α+tan 2 Φr) [Ward, Opt. and Laser Tech. 27 (1995) 125]. The present study is concerned with films of intermediate optical thicknesses (1.0<2πd/λ<solid) and has revealed that the polar-type relationships previously noted for solid materials are augmented by secondary structures of maxima and minima whose position and amplitude can be predicted by adapting the exact equations for R and Φr.  相似文献

A mixed spectral and finite difference model to study finite amplitude baroclinic waves in a differentially heated rotating annulus is presented. The model consists of the full Navier-Stokes equations and the heat equation. The field variables f = f(r, φ z; t) are decomposed into zonally averaged components fo(r, z; t) and eddy components f(r, φ, z; t), the latter being periodic in f and represented in terms of Fourier series. The unknowns fo(r, z; t) and fc, s(r, z; t), which are Fourier amplitudes of f′(r, φ, z; t) are governed by two-dimensional primitive equations with the addition of source terms. These equations are solved semi-implicitly by the alternating direction implicit method on variable grids.A simplified model with two Fourier components which permits self-interaction of the chosen wave and the interaction of the wave and the mean fields had been used to repeat a computation done by G. P. Williams, who used a fully three-dimensional finite difference algorithm. We can reproduce almost all of Williams' results in 1/20 of the computing time with the present model. It only requires 1/30 the additional computer storage of Williams' finite difference model over the axisymmetric problem.The potential of the present model for investigation of multiwave interaction as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the two different approaches is discussed.  相似文献

The neutrino experiment sets the most stringent exclusion limits for μe oscillations. Analyzing the data set recorded from Feb.1997 up to March 2000 with the upgraded experimental configuration, the search of e appearance via the p( e, e+)n reaction yields no hints for neutrino oscillations. Applying a likelihood method to the measured event sample of 11 events (background expectation 12.3 events), we deduce an upper limit of sin2 (2Θ) < 1.3 · 10−3 for large Δm2 > 100 eV2 and Δm2 < 0.049 eV2 for sin2 (2Θ)=1.  相似文献

To study the influence of glare on the visual performance of a subject wearing an ophthalmic lens, it is useful to know how the lens affects the illuminance reaching the eye. In this paper, considering spherical standard ophthalmic lenses and defining the relative illuminance, Er, as the quotient between the illuminance at the cornea with and without lens, a methodology to evaluate Er in terms of easily determined parameters is developed. Three effects are considered, pupil size variation of the system with and without lens; lateral shifts of rays transmitted through the lens and reflections at the lens. Calculations are experimentally verified employing 5 organic ophthalmic lenses of ±6; ±4 and 0.12 dioptres and 2 glass plane parallel plates 1.95 and 6.6 mm thick. Using a photometer whose sensor is 12 mm apart from the lens and 740 mm apart from a glare source subtending an eccentricity angle of 9.6°, it results Er=1.204 for the 6 dioptres lens and Er=0.803 for the −6 dioptres one if sensor diameter is 10 mm while, for a 719 mm distance and a 10° angle, Er=0.922 for the thin plate and a 30 mm sensor and Er=1.006 for the thick plate and a 10 mm sensor. Experimental and theoretical results differ in less than 3%.  相似文献

We derive an equation satisfied by the dissipation rate correlation function, for the homogeneous, isotropic state of fully-developed turbulence from the the Navier–Stokes equation. In the equal time limit we show that the equation leads directly to two intermittency exponents 1=2– 6 and 2=z4 4, where the 's are exponents of velocity structure functions and z4 is a dynamical exponent characterizing the fourth order structure function. We discuss the contributions of the pressure terms to the equation and the consequences of hyperscaling.  相似文献

We have studied the silicon (Si) band-structure, electron–electron and electron-ionized donor interaction effects on our accurate and approximate results (AcR and ApR) for renormalized effective spin susceptibitity (RESS), electron mass (EEM), Landé factor and spin polarization in the impure 2D Si (electron system), showing that:(i) our ApR, being strongly deviated from our AcR, reproduces approximately all the data obtained recently by Pudalov et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 88 (2002) 196404) [in particular, RESS =4.7 at the critical value of Wigner–Seitz radius rs: rs=rc≈8.5 at which occur the “apparent” metal–insulator transition (MIT)] and can also be compared with other ApRs found in the recent literature,(ii) both the RESS and EEM produce physical singularities at the same critical value: rs=rc11.05661 (weakly disordered samples) at which occurs the “true” MIT; the existence of such two “apparent and true” critical values in this impure system agrees with a recent discussion by Abrahams et al. (Rev. Mod. Phys. 73 (2001) 251), and(iii) at rs=rc=8.5, at which occurs the “apparent” MIT, our AcR for effective spin polarization and the corresponding result, obtained using a disordered Hubbard model and a determinant quantum Monte Carlo method by Denteneer and Scalettar (Phys. Rev. Lett. 90 (2003) 246401), both give the same result: ξeff.c0.31 at B0.4 T, which is found to be lower than the critical parallel magnetic field for full spin polarization, Bc=1.29 T, supporting thus the existence of such an “apparent” MIT.  相似文献

We have studied electron heating in a submicron-size GaAs wire from 4.2 K to 50 K. We find that the energy relaxation rate for the electrons is of the form τE−1 = α + βTen where α, β are constants and Te is the electron temperature. We associate the temperature-independent term with a quasi-elastic surface scattering process in which an electron losses 1% of its energy at each collision. The temperature dependent term may be due to electron-phonon scattering. It is possible to fit the data to 2 < n < 3.  相似文献

The orbits in the potentials ψ=−CzR−2+ζ(R), (ζ arbitrary) have integrals E, and . Thus the z-velocity is proportional to the number of turns made around the axis! The Poisson Bracket [h,I] is not zero so Liouville’s integrability theorem does not apply. Starting from the self-similar potential with ζR−1, we find some orbits that spiral around cones and explore general orbits in this strange system.  相似文献

We present some new exact (solitary and traveling) solutions to the sine-Gordon equationsc 2uxx–utt = sinu andcu xt+ utt = sinu, and the dissipative sine-Gordon equationc 2uxx–utt–ut=1 sinu+ 2 sin(2u). Here,, 1, and 2 are the coupling constants, real numbers;c is theintrinsic speed of the propagating wave determined by the system; and is the damping factor.
