A double-leaf microperforated panel space absorber (DLMPP) is composed of two microperforated panels (MPPs) placed in parallel with an air-cavity in-between, without a back wall or any backing structure. This was proposed as a space sound absorber, which can be used for a sound absorbing screen or partition. A conventional MPP absorber with a rigid back wall is effective only around its resonance frequency, which is usually at middle frequencies, and not effective at low frequencies. However, a DLMPP can be effective also at low frequencies, because an additional sound absorption is produced by its acoustic flow resistance. In the authors’ previous work, theoretical analyses on the acoustic properties of a DLMPP were carried out using a simplified electro-acoustical equivalent circuit model. However, the equivalent circuit model includes an approximation, and more sophisticated theory is required for a better prediction and detailed discussion. In this paper, a revised theory for a DLMPP is presented: A Helmholtz integral formulation is employed to obtain a rigorous solution for more precise prediction of the absorptivity of a DLMPP. The result of the present revised theory is compared with that of the equivalent circuit model, and the difference between them is discussed. A parametric survey is made through numerical examples by the present revised theory to discuss its acoustic properties.  相似文献

The problem of exciting bulk elastic waves at the surface of a piezoelectric with symmetries 422,622 has been solved by a successive approximation method. In the approximation of a fixed electric field, created at the surface of the piezoelectric crystal by a two-electrode transducer, the distributions are found for the shear wave stress and the energy flux density in the far zone. The equivalent circuit parameters for a two-electrode radiator are determined taking account of the dynamic piezoelectric correction obtained in the second approximation. The equivalent circuit parameters and the transducer loss are treated for TeO2 crystals. A realistic possibility of using surface transducers in the development of acousto-optic modulators in the s.h.f. region is shown. Tomsk State Academy of Control Systems and Radio Electronics. The rotational Brownian motion of magnetized tri-axial ellipsoidal particles (orthotropic particles) suspended in a Newtonian fluid, in the dilute suspension limit, under applied d.c. and a.c. magnetic fields was studied using rotational Brownian dynamics simulations. The algorithm describing the change in the suspension magnetization was obtained from the stochastic angular momentum equation using the fluctuation-dissipation theorem and a quaternion formulation of orientation space. Simulation results are in agreement with the Langevin function for equilibrium magnetization and with single-exponential relaxation from equilibrium at small fields using Perrin's effective relaxation time. Dynamic susceptibilities for ellipsoidal particles of different aspect ratios were obtained from the response to oscillating magnetic fields of different frequencies and described by Debye's model for the complex susceptibility using Perrin's effective relaxation time. Simulations at high equilibrium and probe fields indicate that Perrin's effective relaxation time continues to describe relaxation from equilibrium and response to oscillating fields even beyond the small field limit.  相似文献

We have used the method of successive approximations to solve the problem of exciting bulk elastic waves from the surfaces of piezoelectric materials with 3m symmetry. In the approximation of a given electric field created by a two-electrode transducer on the surface of a piezoelectric sample, we found the displacement distribution of acoustic modes excited by the transducer. We determined the parameters for an equivalent circuit of a two-electrode transmitter, taking into account piezo additions and losses during the transformation for the surface piezotransducer deposited on 135o Y-cut lithium niobate. We show that it is possible to use surface transducers in acousto-optic modulators in the UHF region.  相似文献

In the present paper, the ionic conductivity and the dielectric relaxation properties of Na2SO4 have been investigated by means of impedance spectroscopy measurements over wide ranges of frequencies and temperatures. The frequency dependent impedance data has been modeled by appropriate equivalent circuit representing the bulk and grain boundary properties of the sample. Phase transition temperatures and the activation energies of conduction in different phases have been determined from the temperature dependence of the dc conductivity. Dielectric relaxation has been studied using the complex electric modulus and permittivity formalisms. From the electric modulus formalism it is concluded that the relaxation mechanism is independent of temperature. The dielectric permittivity spectra were analyzed by the Cole–Cole formula where different parameters are determined.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of cadmium selenide (CdSe) have been synthesized by soft chemical route using mercaptoethanol as a capping agent. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope measurements show that the prepared sample belongs to sphalerite structure with the average particle size of 25 nm. The band gap of the material is found to be 2.1 eV. The photoluminescence (PL) emission spectra of the sample are measured at various excitation wavelengths. The PL spectra appear in the visible region, and the emission feature depends on the wavelength of the excitation. Impedance spectroscopy is applied to investigate the dielectric relaxation of the sample in a temperature range from 323 to 473 K and in a frequency range from 42 Hz to 1.1 MHz. The complex impedance plane plot has been analyzed by an equivalent circuit consisting of two serially connected R-CPE units, each containing a resistance (R) and a constant phase element (CPE). The dielectric relaxation of the sample is investigated in the electric modulus formalism. The temperature dependent relaxation times obey the Arrhenius law. The Havriliak–Negami model is used to investigate the dielectric relaxation mechanism in the sample. The frequency dependent conductivity spectra are found to obey the power law.  相似文献

Polycrystalline La0.57Nd0.1Pb0.33Mn0.8Ti0.2O3 (LNPMT) is prepared by the solid-state reaction technique. The formation of single phase material was confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies, and it was found to be a rhombohedral phase at room temperature. The impedance plane plot shows semicircle arcs at different temperatures and an electrical equivalent circuit has been proposed to explain the impedance results. The frequency dependent conductivity spectra follow the universal power law. The activation energy deduced from analysis of the imaginary part of electric modulus and imaginary impedance is found to be ∼75 meV. Such a value of activation energy indicates that the conduction mechanism for the sample is due to electron hopping. The imaginary part of the electric modulus suggests that the relaxation describes the same mechanism at various temperatures.  相似文献

We report on the behavior of frequency and temperature dependences of the impedance of a measuring cell in the form of a parallel-plate capacitor filled with barium hexaaluminate ceramics with four aluminum cations replaced by iron (BaO · 2Fe2O3 · 4Al2O3). The measurements have been performed in the frequency range of 0.5–108 Hz at temperatures of 20-375°C. A technique for determining the electrical properties of the investigated ceramics is proposed, which is based on an equivalent electric circuit allowing the recorded impedance spectra to be approximated with sufficiently high accuracy. The established spectral features are indicative of the presence of two electric relaxation times different from each other by three orders of magnitude. This fact is explained by the difference between the charge transport processes in the bulk of crystallites and thin intercrystallite spacers, for which the charge activation energies have been determined.  相似文献

Adsorption of sulfur at the (1 0 0) surface of gold is analyzed with the help of the density functional theory (DFT). Potential energy surface for a single S atom at the Au(1 0 0) surface is computed and a simple analytical formula was found to reproduce the ab initio results to a good accuracy. Vibration frequencies of the adsorbed S atom are computed using the harmonic approximation and the contribution of zero-point motion to the adsorption energy is evaluated. The effects of surface Au atoms relaxation in the sulfur adsorption is analyzed. The interactions between S atoms adsorbed at the nearest and the next nearest equivalent adsorption sites are computed and used to define the effective Hamiltonian describing the interactions between the adsorbed sulfur atoms.  相似文献

We consider charge relaxation in the mesoscopic equivalent of an RC circuit. For a single-channel, spin-polarized contact, self-consistent scattering theory predicts a universal charge relaxation resistance equal to half a resistance quantum independent of the transmission properties of the contact. This prediction is in good agreement with recent experimental results. We use a tunneling Hamiltonian formalism and show in Hartree-Fock approximation that at zero temperature the charge relaxation resistance is universal even in the presence of Coulomb blockade effects. We explore departures from universality as a function of temperature and magnetic field.  相似文献

We review some of the techniques that lead to the effective medium representation of a three-dimensional (3D) periodic metamaterial. We consider a 3D lattice of lead telluride cubic resonators at mid-infrared (MIR) frequencies. Each cubic resonator is modeled with both an electric and a magnetic dipole, through a method called the dual dipole approximation. The electric and magnetic polarizabilities of a cubic resonator are computed via full-wave simulations by mapping the resonator's scattered field under electric/magnetic excitation only to the field radiated by an equivalent electric/magnetic dipole. We then analyze the allowed modes in the lattice, with transverse polarization and complex wavenumber, highlighting the attenuation that each mode experiences after one free space wavelength. We observe the presence of two modes with low attenuation constant, dominant in different frequency ranges, able to propagate inside the lattice: this allows the treatment of the metamaterial as a homogeneous material with effective parameters, evaluated by using various techniques. We then show that the metamaterial under analysis allows for the generation of artificial magnetism (i.e., relative effective permeability different than unity, including negative permeability with low losses) at MIR frequencies.  相似文献

It is shown that a dynamical force sum rule is useful in analyzing the response of a finite electronic system to a uniform electric field that oscillates harmonically in time. The sum rule, which has been used previously in calculations of the response of atoms to electric fields, provides a direct test of electronic polarizability calculations and may lead to useful approximations for the electronic polarizability of metallic microstructures. We apply the sum rule to the case of a small metal sphere in the jellium model, and show that it directly leads to an approximation that is equivalent to the surface-plasmon-pole approximation for the red-shift of the surface plasmon frequency.  相似文献

Double perovskite oxide holmium zinc zirconate Ho2ZnZrO6 (HZZ) is synthesized by solid state reaction technique under a calcination temperature of 1100 °C. The crystal structure has been determined by powder X-ray diffraction, which shows monoclinic phase at room temperature. The variation of dielectric constant (ε′) and loss tangent (tan δ) with frequency is carried out assuming a distribution of relaxation times. The frequency corresponding to loss tangent peak is found to obey an Arrhenius law with activation energy of 89.7 meV. The frequency-dependant electrical data are analyzed in the framework of conductivity and electric modulus formalisms. Both these formalisms show qualitative similarities in relaxation times. The scaling behaviour of imaginary electric modulus shows the temperature-independent nature of the distribution of relaxation times. Nyquist plots are drawn to identify an equivalent circuit and to know the bulk and interface contributions.  相似文献

We present a new scheme for realizing Bloch oscillations and Wannier-Stark ladder based on a lattice of coupled LC circuits. By converting the second order dynamical ODEs of the system into a first order Schrödinger-like equation, we propose an equivalent tight binding Hamiltonian to describe the circuit. We show that a synthesized electric field is produced by introducing a frequency mismatch into the resonant frequency of the adjacent LC resonators. The Wannier-Stark modes are the normal modes of the circuit and the Bloch oscillations can be observed in a coupled LC lattice. By addition of coupling capacitors between nodes of the circuit, we study the Bloch oscillation in the presence of long-range couplings. We also show that the circuit converts to a transmission line simulating synthetic electric fields in the continuum limit. The coupled LC circuit is, in some sense, amongst the simplest physical systems exhibiting Bloch oscillation and Wannier-Stark Ladder.  相似文献

Delayed differential equation of motion with multiple lags is derived for an anharmonic stub resonator coupled to a monomode transmission line. Transmission and reflection coefficients are found analytically in the harmonic approximation. Nonlinear response of the system is analysed by an electric circuit obeying the same equations of motion. Enhanced second harmonic generation is found at the frequencies, which in the harmonic approximation correspond to the zeros of transmission. An aperiodic (chaotic) response is found mainly in the frequency range close to the resonance of the dangling resonator. Zeros of transmission and total transmissions are shown to be lifted by the anharmonicity nearly in the same frequency region. Higher harmonics are preferentially transmitted at the zero transmission points in the presence of anharmonicity. In this paper a 2D equivalent circuit of longitudinally polarized piezoelectric ceramic rings is established, which is obtained as an approximated analytical solution of 3D constitutive equations in the hypothesis of axial symmetry when the shearing stress and torsion are ignored. The mechanical part of the equivalent circuit can be divided into two branches; one branch characterizes the longitudinal extensional vibration, the other represents the radial vibration. The two branches, which are coupled to an electrical port by two transformers separately, mechanically couple to each other by some mechanical impedance at the same time. Similar circuit is also presented when piezoelectric disk is concerned. Based on this model it is able to compute all the relations between the input applied voltage and the output forces and velocities on every external surface analytically. Compared with the 1D equivalent circuits, the 2D equivalent circuit gives a more comprehensive predicts of the thickness and radial modes with sufficient accuracy when the ring or disk is thin. When the ring or disk is so thick that the 1D theory is not validated, an effective predict of the coupled vibration can also be presented. Comparisons with the experimental results show this model is rather accuracy in frequency calculation.  相似文献

We calculate the effective dielectric tensor of a metal film penetrated by cylindrical holes filled with a nematic liquid crystal (NLC). We assume that the director of the NLC is parallel to the film, and that its direction within the plane can be controlled by a static magnetic field, via the Freedericksz effect. To calculate the effective dielectric tensor, we consider both randomly distributed holes (using a Maxwell-Garnett approximation) and a square lattice of holes (using a Fourier technique). Both the holes and the lattice constant of the square lattice are assumed small compared to the wavelength. The films are found to exhibit extraordinary light transmission at special frequencies related to the surface plasmon resonances of the composite film. Furthermore, the frequencies of peak transmission are found to be substantially split when the dielectric in the holes is anisotropic. For typical NLC parameters, the splitting is of order 5–10% of the metal plasma frequency. Thus, the extraordinary transmission can be controlled by a static magnetic or electric field whose direction can be rotated to orient the director of the NLC. Finally, as a practical means of producing the NLC-filled holes, we consider the case where the entire perforated metal film is dipped into a pool of NLC, so that all the holes are filled with the NLC, and there are also homogeneous slabs of NLC on both sides of the film. The transmission in this geometry is shown to have similar characteristics to that in which the NLC-filled screen is placed in air.  相似文献

为了提高频率选择表面(FSS)设计优化速度, 利用等效电路方法对基于集总元件加载的微型化FSS结构进行了分析. 根据FSS物理结构建立了相应的等效电路模型, 通过ADS软件对全波分析曲线进行拟合提取了等效电路模型参数, 通过延长曲线范围增加极值点个数提高拟合参数精度. 利用所提取的等效电路参数计算了不同LC 参数下FSS的传输特性, 与全波分析精确结果相对比, 电路模型计算的透过率略高, 中心频点及-3 dB带宽与全波分析结果的相对误差均小于10%. 证明了利用等效电路模型分析复杂FSS结构的可行性, 为FSS设计和快速优化提供了参考. 关键词: 频率选择表面 等效电路 集总元件  相似文献
