Based on the quantum Magnetohydrodynamic (QMHD) model, the obliquely propagation of electrostatic waves in degenerate magnetized quantum plasmas with electron exchange-correlation effects are theoretically investigated. The modified linear dispersion relations of electrostatic waves are obtained and discussed in some specific cases. The analytical results clearly show that the dispersion properties of the high frequency electron waves (including the Langmuir wave and upper-hybrid wave) and the low frequency ion acoustic wave are modified by the quantum effects together with the electron exchange-correlation effects. The numerical results depict that the Langmuir wave and upper-hybrid wave can be unstable in the presence of the electron exchange-correlation effects, and it is also evidently indicated that the electron exchange-correlation effects can reduce the phase velocity of the waves, especially in the high wave number region. The corresponding results should be of relevance for identifying electrostatic fluctuations which transport in an inhomogeneous and magnetized quantum plasmas.  相似文献

The electrostatic surface waves on semi-bounded quantum electron-hole semiconductor plasmas are studied within the framework of the quantum hydrodynamic model, including the electrons and holes quantum recoil effects, quantum statistical pressures of the plasma species, as well as exchange and correlation effects. The dispersion characteristics of surface electrostatic oscillations are investigated by using the typical values of Ga As, Ga Sb and Ga N semiconductors. Numerical results show the existence of one low-frequency branch due to the mass difference between the electrons and holes in addition to one high-frequency branch due to charge-separation effects.  相似文献

The electron–positron pair annihilation effects on the dust ion acoustic surface wave are investigated in semi-bounded magnetized electron–positron–ion–dust plasmas. The dispersion relation of the low frequency dust ion acoustic surface wave is obtained by the plasma dielectric function with the specular reflection boundary condition. The results show that the frequency of the dust ion acoustic surface wave is found to be increased with increasing the annihilation of the electron–positron pair. In addition, the group velocity of the dust ion acoustic surface wave is also found to be increased with the annihilation of the electron–positron pair.  相似文献

The effect of dust size distribution in ultracold quantum dusty plasmas are investigated in this paper. How the dispersion relation and the propagation velocity for the quantum dusty plasma vary with the system parameters and the different dust distribution are studied. It is found that as the Fermi temperature of the dust grains increases the frequency of the wave increases for large wave number dust acoustic wave. The quantum parameter of Hd also increases the frequency of the large wave number dust acoustic wave. It is also found that the frequency ω0 and the propagation velocity v0 of quantum dust acoustic waves all increase as the total number density increases. They are greater for unusual dusty plasmas than those of the usual dusty plasma.  相似文献

We consider quantum plasmas of electrons and motionless ions. We describe separate evolution of spin-up and spin-down electrons. We present corresponding set of quantum hydrodynamic equations. We assume that plasmas are placed in an uniform external magnetic field. We account different occupation of spin-up and spin-down quantum states in equilibrium degenerate plasmas. This effect is included via equations of state for pressure of each species of electrons. We study oblique propagation of longitudinal waves. We show that instead of two well-known waves (the Langmuir wave and the Trivelpiece–Gould wave), plasmas reveal four wave solutions. New solutions exist due to both the separate consideration of spin-up and spin-down electrons and different occupation of spin-up and spin-down quantum states in equilibrium state of degenerate plasmas.  相似文献

The effects of elongated rotating dust grains on the mode transitions of the dispersion relation of the surface dust ion-acoustic waves are investigated in a semi-bounded dusty plasma. The dispersion relation of the surface dust ion-acoustic wave is obtained by the plasma dielectric function with the specular reflection boundary condition. The result shows the existence of the dust ion-acoustic resonance modes in small and large wave number regions. It is also shown that the surface wave would be propagated in intermediate wave number domains. It is interesting to note that the wave propagation domain has been diminished with an increase of the rotation frequency.  相似文献

Parametric instabilities induced by the nonlinear interaction between high frequency quantum Langmuir waves and low frequency quantum ion-acoustic waves in quantum plasmas with the electron exchange-correlation effects are presented.By using the quantum hydrodynamic equations with the electron exchange-correlation correction,we obtain an effective quantum Zaharov model, which is then used to derive the modified dispersion relations and the growth rates of the decay and four-wave instabilities. The influences of the electron exchange-correlation effects and the quantum effects on the existence of quantum Langmuir waves and the parametric instabilities are discussed in detail. It is shown that the electron exchange-correlation effects and quantum effects are strongly coupled. The quantum Langmuir wave can propagate in quantum plasmas only when the electron exchange-correlation effects and the quantum effects satisfy a certain condition. The electron exchange-correlation effects tend to enhance the parametric instabilities, while quantum effects suppress the instabilities.  相似文献

We present a theoretical investigation on the propagation of surface waves on the relativistic quantum plasma half-space. The dispersion relations of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) and electrostatic surface waves containing relativistic quantum corrected terms are derived. Results show that the frequency of SPPs has a blue-shift, and surface Langmuir oscillations can propagate on the cold plasma half-space due to quantum effects. Numerical evaluation indicates that quantum effects to SPPs and electrostatic surface waves are significant and observable.  相似文献

The propagation of surface modes in warm non-magnetized quantum plasma is investigated. The surface modes are assumed to propagate on the plane between vacuum and warm quantum plasma. The quantum hydrodynamic model including quantum diffraction effect(the Bohm potential) and quantum statistical pressure is used to derive a new dispersion relation of surface modes. The new dispersion relation of surface modes is analyzed in some special interesting cases. It is shown that the dispersion relation can be reduced to the earlier results in some special cases. The results indicate that the quantum effects can facilitate the propagation of surface modes in such a semi-bounded plasma system. This work is helpful to understand the physical characteristics of the surface modes and the bounded quantum plasma.  相似文献

The propagation characteristics of high-frequency surface waves are studied in spin-1/2 quantum plasmas by considering the electron relativistic degenerate and exchange-correlation effects. Using the quantum fluid equations of magnetoplasmas in the presence of the quantum Bohm potential, spin magnetization energy, relativistic degenerate pressure, and exchange-correlation effects, a generalized dispersion relation is derived. The analytical and numerical results show that the relativistic degenerate and exchange-correlation effects significantly modify the propagation properties of high-frequency surface waves. It is found that under the influence of exchange-correlation effects, the frequency spectrum of high-frequency surface waves will be down-shifted. It is also indicated that the dispersion curve shifts up with the increase of relativistic gamma factor. Furthermore, the phase speed of the high-frequency surface waves increases with increasing electron number density. The current research is helpful to understand the propagation of the high-frequency surface waves in quantum plasmas, such as those in dense astrophysical environment.  相似文献

Using the quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) equations with magnetic field on the Wigner-Maxwell system, the general dielectric tensor and dispersion equation for quantum plasmas were derived. Dispersion relations of one-, two-stream and beam-plasma instabilities in uniform quantum magnetized plasmas are investigated through the new dielectric tensor. The magnetic field which is parallel to the fluid velocity does not work on stream instabilities. The quantum and thermal effects have remarkable impact on two-stream instability. The critical wave number for beam-plasma instability with quantum effects correction is given too.  相似文献

A comprehensive investigation of propagation of new longitudinal electro-kinetic modes and novel properties introduced due to presence of negatively charged colloids in semiconductor plasma is presented. By employing the multi-fluid balance equations, a compact dispersion relation for the cases in which wave phase velocity is either larger or smaller than electron thermal velocity is derived. This dispersion relation is used to study wave phenomena and electro-kinetic mode instability numerically. We find important modifications in electro-kinetic branch as well as the existence of new modes of propagation in colloids laden semiconductor plasma. The results of this investigation should be useful in understanding the characteristics of longitudinal electro-kinetic wave in colloids laden semiconductor plasmas whose main constituents are electrons, holes and negatively charged colloids.Received: 15 June 2004, Published online: 7 September 2004PACS: 52.35.Fp Electrostatic waves and oscillations (e.g., ion-acoustic waves) - 72.30. + q High-frequency effects; plasma effects - 61.72.Ww Doping and impurity implantation in other materials - 82.70.Dd Colloids  相似文献

Two‐dimensional (2D) magnetosonic wave propagation in magnetized quantum dissipative plasmas is studied. The plasma system is comprised of inertial ions, inertia‐less electrons, and positrons. The multi‐fluid quantum hydrodynamic model is used, in which quantum statistical and quantum tunnelling effects of electrons and positrons are included. Reductive perturbation analysis is performed to derive the Zabolotskaya–Khokhlov equation for the 2D propagation of a magnetosonic shock wave in a magnetized qauntum plasma. The effects of varying the different plasma parameters such as positron density and magnetic field intensity on the propagation characteristics of magnetosonic shock waves are discussed with non‐relativistic degenerate plasma parameters in astrophysical plasma situations.  相似文献

The present state of research of resonant Joule interactions of collisional plasmas with electromagnetic waves, including both the problems of plasma heating and wave dynamics, is reviewed. The controlled development of non-linear wave processes in gaseous and solid-body plasmas in radiowave and microwave ranges via resonant heating is discussed. The series of thermal bistability effects, produced by electron-temperature hysteresis near Langmuir and cyclotron resonances, is considered. The geometrical resonances of absorption in layered structures and bounded volumes are illustrated. Localization of dissipation phenomena near resonant regions in heterogeneous and anisotropic magnetoplasmas is analyzed. Relativistic and quantum effects in resonant collisional attenuation of waves in a plasma are shown. Some analogous tendencies in Joule wave phenomena are marked in plasmas characterized by very different physical conditions-from laboratory devices up to cosmic objects.  相似文献

In the present work, we theoretically analyze the effect of the Fermi surface local geometry on quantum oscillations in the velocity of an acoustic wave travelling in metal across a strong magnetic field. We show that local flattenings of the Fermi surface could cause significant amplification of quantum oscillations. This occurs due to enhancement of commensurability oscillations modulating the quantum oscillations in the electron density of states on the Fermi surface. The amplification in the quantum oscillations could be revealed at fitting directions of the magnetic field.  相似文献

The growth rates of the Langmuir and electromagnetic radiation due to the plasma-maser instability in multicomponent unmagnetized plasmas with stationary charged particulates are obtained. The up-conversion of the wave energy from ion-acoustic oscillations to the test Langmuir and electromagnetic waves is much enhanced owing to the enhanced accelaration of electrons by the dust ion-acoustic mode. The results could be important for the interpretation of high-frequency waves in space and astrophysical dusty plasmas.  相似文献

In degenerate quantum plasma the energy behavior of electrostatic modes propagating perpendicular to the external magnetic field is studied by employing the separated spin evolution quantum hydrodynamic (SSE-QHD) model. This model reveals that spin electron cyclotron wave (SECW) appears additionally with the upper hybrid wave (UHW). In case of SECW, the curves for the energy flow speed at different levels of spin polarization effect flip over at a particular value of wave number. The spin polarization effect enhances the energy flow speed before this value of wave number and then suppresses it afterward. The energy flow speed is enhanced by spin polarization effect in the entire range of wave number for the propagation of UHW. The Bohm potential effect drastically increases the energy flow speed at high wave number domain in both the waves. This study may find its applications to understand the energy behavior inspin polarized solid state plasmas  相似文献

The quantum effects on the plasma two-stream instability are studied by the dielectric function approach. The analysis suggests that the instability condition in a degenerate dense plasma deviates from the classical theory when the electron drift velocity is comparable to the Fermi velocity. Specifically, for a high wave vector comparable to the Fermi wave vector, a degenerate quantum plasma has larger regime of instability than predicted by the classical theory. A regime is identified, where there are unstable plasma waves with frequency 1.5 times of a normal Langmuir wave.  相似文献

The three-dimensional extended quantum Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) equation was investigated in dense quantum plasmas which arises from the dimensionless hydrodynamics equations describing the nonlinear propagation of the quantum ion-acoustic waves. With the aid of symbolic computation, many types of new analytical solutions of the extended quantum ZK equation are constructed in terms of some powerful ansatze, which include new doubly periodic wave, solitary wave, shock wave, rational wave, and singular wave solutions. Moreover, we analyze the nonlinear wave propagation of the obtained solutions for some chosen parameters.  相似文献

In this paper, the transverse wave propagation in fluid-conveying viscoelastic single-walled carbon nanotubes is investigated based on nonlocal elasticity theory with consideration of surface effect. The governing equation is formulated utilizing nonlocal Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and Kelvin-Voigt model. Explicit wave dispersion relation is developed and wave phase velocities and frequencies are obtained. The effect of the fluid flow velocity, structural damping, surface effect, small scale effects and tube diameter on the wave propagation properties are discussed with different wave numbers. The wave frequency increases with the increase of fluid flow velocity, but decreases with the increases of tube diameter and wave number. The effect of surface elasticity and residual surface tension is more significant for small wave number and tube diameter. For larger values of wave number and nonlocal parameters, the real part of frequency ratio raises.  相似文献
