Let x : Mn-1→ Rnbe an umbilical free hypersurface with non-zero principal curvatures.M is called Laguerre isoparametric if it satisfies two conditions, namely, it has vanishing Laguerre form and has constant Lauerre principal curvatures. In this paper, under the condition of having constant Laguerre principal curvatures, we show that the hypersurface is of vanishing Laguerre form if and only if its Laguerre form is parallel with respect to the Levi–Civita connection of its Laguerre metric.  相似文献

Let x : M → R n be an umbilical free hypersurface with non-zero principal curvatures, then x is associated with a Laguerre metric g, a Laguerre tensor L, a Laguerre form C, a Laguerre second fundamental form B, which are invariants of x under Laguerre transformation group. A classical theorem of Laguerre geometry states that M(n 3) is characterized by g and B up to Laguerre equivalence. A Laguerre isopararmetric hypersurface is defined by satisfying the conditions that C = 0 and all the eigenvalues of B with respect to g are constant. It is easy to see that all Laguerre isopararmetric hypersurfaces are Dupin hypersurfaces. In this paper, we established a complete classification for all Laguerre isopararmetric hypersurfaces with three distinct principal curvatures in R7.  相似文献

Let Mn be an n-dimensional complete connected and oriented hypersurface in a hyperbolic space Hn+1(c) with non-zero constant mean curvature H and two distinct principal curvatures. In this paper, we show that (1) if the multiplicities of the two distinct principal curvatures are greater than 1,then Mn is isometric to the Riemannian product Sk(r)×Hn-k(-1/(r2 + ρ2)), where r > 0 and 1 < k < n - 1;(2)if H2 > -c and one of the two distinct principal curvatures is simple, then Mn is isometric to the Riemannian product Sn-1(r) × H1(-1/(r22)) or S1(r) × Hn-1(-1/(r22)),r > 0, if one of the following conditions is satisfied (i) S≤(n-1)t22+c2t-22 on Mn or (ii)S≥ (n-1)t21+c2t-21 on Mn or(iii)(n-1)t22+c2t-22≤ S≤(n-1)t21+c2t-21 on Mn, where t1 and t2 are the positive real roots of (1.5).  相似文献

For an additive subgroup G of a field F of characteristic zero, a Lie algebra B(G) of Block type is defined with basis {Lα,i| α∈G, i∈Z+} and relations [Lα,i, Lβ,j] = (β-α)Lα+β,i+j+(αj-βi)Lα+β,Lα+β,i+j-1.It is proved that an irreducible highest weight B(Z)-module is quasifinite if and only if it is a proper quotient of a Verma module. Furthermore, for a total order λ on G and any ∧∈B(G)0^*(the dual space of B(G)0 = span{L0,i|i∈Z+}), a Verma B(G)-module M(∧,λ) is defined, and the irreducibility of M(A,λ) is completely determined.  相似文献

We investigate a basisity problem in the space ■p A D and in its invariant subspaces. Namely, let W denote a unilateral weighted shift operator acting in the space ■p A D,1 ≤ p ∞, by W zn= λnzn+1, n ≥ 0, with respect to the standard basis zn n≥0. Applying the so-called "discrete Duhamel product" technique, it is proven that for any integer k ≥ 1the sequence wi+nk-1 W | Ei knf n≥0is a basic sequence in Ei := span zi+n: n ≥ 0 equivalent to the basis zi+n n≥0if and only if f i = 0. A spacelike surface M in 3-dimensional de sitter space S13 or 3-dimensional anti-de Sitter space H13 is called isoparametric, if M has constant principal curvatures. A timelike surface is called isoparametric, if its minimal polynomial of the shape operator is constant. This paper concerns about the approximation by a class of positive exponential type multiplier operators on the unit sphere Sn of the (n + 1)- dimensional Euclidean space for n ≥2. We prove that such operators form a strongly continuous contraction semigroup of class (l0) and show the equivalence between the approximation errors of these operators and the K-functionals. We also give the saturation order and the saturation class of these operators. As examples, the rth Boolean of the generalized spherical Abel-Poisson operator +Vt^γ and the rth Boolean of the generalized spherical Weierstrass operator +Wt^k for integer r ≥ 1 and reals γ, k∈ (0, 1] have errors ||+r Vt^γ- f||X ω^rγ(f, t^1/γ)X and ||+rWt^kf - f||X ω^2rk(f, t^1/(2k))X for all f ∈ X and 0 ≤t ≤2π, where X is the Banach space of all continuous functions or all L^p integrable functions, 1 ≤p ≤+∞, on S^n with norm ||·||X, and ω^s(f,t)X is the modulus of smoothness of degree s 〉 0 for f ∈X. In this paper, we study the problem of a variety of p, onlinear time series model Xn+ 1= TZn+1(X(n), … ,X(n - Zn+l), en+1(Zn+1)) in which {Zn} is a Markov chain with finite state space, and for every state i of the Markov chain, {en(i)} is a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables. In this paper, first we give the necessary and sufficient condition for Mc to be an upper semi-Fredholm (lower semi-Fredholm, or Fredholm) operator for some C ∈B(K,H). In addition, let σSF+(A) = {λ ∈ C : A-λI is not an upper semi-Fredholm operator} bc the upper semi-Fredholm spectrum of A ∈ B(H) and let σrsF- (A) = {λ∈ C : A-λI is not a lower semi-Fredholm operator} be the lower semi Fredholm spectrum of A. We show that the passage from σSF±(A) U σSF±(B) to σSF±(Mc) is accomplished by removing certain open subsets of σSF-(A) ∩σSF+ (B) from the former, that is, there is an equality σSF±(A) ∪σSF± (B) = σSF± (Mc) ∪& where L is the union of certain of the holes in σSF±(Mc) which ilappen to be subsets of σSF- (A) A σSF+ (B). Weyl's theorem and Browder's theorem are liable to fail for 2 × 2 operator matrices. In this paper, we also explore how Weyl's theorem, Browder's theorem, a-Weyl's theorem and a-Browder's theorem survive for 2 × 2 upper triangular operator matrices on the Hilbert space.  相似文献

The Cauchy problem for a linear 2mth-order Schrōdinger equation ut=-i(-△)^mu, in R^N×R+,u|t=0=u0;m≥1 is an integer,is studied, for initial data uo in the weighted space L^2ρ(R^N),withρ^*(x)=e|x|^a and a=2m/2m-1∈(1,2].The following five problems are studied: (I) A sharp asymptotic behaviour of solutions as t → +∞ is governed by a discrete spectrum and a countable set Ф of the eigenfunctions of the linear rescaled operator B=-i(-△)^m+1/2my·↓△+N/2mI,with the spectrum σ(B)={λβ=-|β|≥0}. (Ⅱ) Finite-time blow-up local structures of nodal sets of solutions as t → 0^- and a formation of "multiple zeros" are described by the eigenfunctions, being generalized Hermite polynomials, of the "adjoint" operator B=-i(-△)^m-1/2my·↓△,with the same spectrum σ(B^*)=σ(B).Applications of these spectral results also include: (Ⅲ) a unique continuation theorem, and (IV) boundary characteristic point regularity issues. Some applications are discussed for more general linear PDEs and for the nonlinear Schr6dinger equations in the focusing ("+") and defocusing ("-") cases ut=-(-△)^mu±i|u|^p-1u,in R^N×R+,where P〉1,as well as for: (V) the quasilinear Schr6dinger equation of a "porous medium type" ut=-(-△)^m(|u|^nu),in R^N×R+,where n〉0.For the latter one, the main idea towards countable families of nonlinear eigenfunctions is to perform a homotopic path n → 0^+ and to use spectral theory of the pair {B,B^*}.  相似文献

It is known that the square of a ω-hyponormal operator is also ω-hyponormal. For any 0〈 p 〈 1, there exists a special invertible operator such that all of its integer powers are all p - ω-hyponormal. In this article, the author introduces the class of (s, p) -ω-hyponormal operators on the basis of the class of p- ω-hyponormal operators. For s 〉0, 0 〈 p 〈 1, the author gives a characterization of (s,p) -ω-hyponormal operatots; the author shows that all integer powers of special (s, p) -ω-hyponormal operators are (s,p) -ω-hyzponormal.  相似文献
