In this paper the existence and uniqueness of different types of solutions to a class of semilinear retarded differential equations with nonlocal history conditions are obtained by a fixed point argument. Also finite dimensional approximation of these solutions in a Hilbert space is established.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence for impulsive semilinear differential equations with nonlocal conditions. Using the techniques of approximate solutions and fixed point, existence results are obtained, for mild solutions, when the impulsive functions are only continuous and the nonlocal item is Lipschitz in the space of piecewise continuous functions, is not Lipschitz and not compact, is continuous in the space of Bochner integrable functions, respectively.  相似文献

We investigate a limiting uniqueness criterion to the Navier-Stokes equations. We prove that the mild solution is unique under the class , where bmo-1 is the “critical” space including Ln. We are concerned with an inverse problem for a degenerate linear evolution equation of first-order. Both hyperbolic and parabolic cases will be considered. We indicate sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a solution. All the results can be applied to inverse problems for equations from mathematical physics. As a possible application of the abstract theorems, some examples of partial differential equations are given.  相似文献

We study the existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence on initial data of the solution to a nonlocal Cahn-Hilliard equation on a bounded domain. The equation generates a gradient flow for a free energy functional with nonlocal interaction. This paper is an application of the variational derivative method to the derivation of the conservation laws for partial differential equations. The conservation laws for (1+1) dimensional compacton k(2,2) and compacton k(3,3) equations are studied via multiplier approach. In this paper we characterize the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions of inhomogeneous abstract delay equations and establish maximal regularity results for strong solutions. The conditions are obtained in terms of R-boundedness of linear operators determined by the equations and Lp- Fourier multipliers. A generalized entropy functional was introduced in [T.-P. Liu, T. Yang, A new entropy functional for scalar conservation laws, Comm. Pure Appl. Math. 52 (1999) 1427-1442] for the scalar hyperbolic conservation laws with convex flux function. This functional was crucially used in the functional approach to the L1 stability study on the system of hyperbolic conservation laws when each characteristic field is either genuinely nonlinear or linearly degenerate. However, how to construct the generalized entropy functional for scalar conservation laws with general flux, and then how to apply the functional approach to the L1 study on general systems are still open. In this paper, we construct a new nonlinear functional which gives some partial answer to this question and we expect the analysis will shed some light on the future investigation in this direction.  相似文献

In this paper, the geometric meaning of (α,β)-norms is made clear. On this basis, a new class of Finsler metrics called general (α,β)-metrics are introduced, which are defined by a Riemannian metric and a 1-form. These metrics not only generalize (α,β)-metrics naturally, but also include some metrics structured by R. Bryant. The spray coefficients formula of some kinds of general (α,β)-metrics is given and the projective flatness is also discussed.  相似文献

R-Boundedness is a randomized boundedness condition for sets of operators which in recent years has found many applications in the maximal regularity theory of evolution equations, stochastic evolution equations, spectral theory and vector-valued harmonic analysis. However, in some situations additional geometric properties such as Pisier's property (α) are required to guaranty the R-boundedness of a relevant set of operators. In this paper we show that a weaker property called semi-R-boundedness can be used to avoid these geometric assumptions in the context of Schauder decompositions and the H-calculus. Furthermore, we give weaker conditions for stochastic integrability of certain convolutions.  相似文献

A class of high order continuous block implicit hybrid one-step methods has been proposed to solve numerically initial value problems for ordinary and delay differential equations. The convergence and Aω-stability of the continuous block implicit hybrid methods for ordinary differential equations are studied. Alternative form of continuous extension is constructed such that the block implicit hybrid one-step methods can be used to solve delay differential equations and have same convergence order as for ordinary differential equations. Some numerical experiments are conducted to illustrate the efficiency of the continuous methods.  相似文献

We obtain a strong solution in charge critical space L2(R) of the Thirring system and Federbusch equations in one space dimension by using solution representation of the models. The uniqueness is obtained for the solution ΨL([0,T];L2(R)∩L4(R)). A decay of local charge and asymptotic behavior of the field can be shown directly.  相似文献

We consider a multiple autoregressive model with non-normal error distributions, the latter being more prevalent in practice than the usually assumed normal distribution. Since the maximum likelihood equations have convergence problems (Puthenpura and Sinha, 1986) [11], we work out modified maximum likelihood equations by expressing the maximum likelihood equations in terms of ordered residuals and linearizing intractable nonlinear functions (Tiku and Suresh, 1992) [8]. The solutions, called modified maximum estimators, are explicit functions of sample observations and therefore easy to compute. They are under some very general regularity conditions asymptotically unbiased and efficient (Vaughan and Tiku, 2000) [4]. We show that for small sample sizes, they have negligible bias and are considerably more efficient than the traditional least squares estimators. We show that our estimators are robust to plausible deviations from an assumed distribution and are therefore enormously advantageous as compared to the least squares estimators. We study an elliptic transmission problem in Banach spaces. The problem is considered on the juxtaposition of two intervals, one of which of small length δ, and models physical phenomena in media constituted by two parts with different physical characteristics. We obtain results of existence, uniqueness, maximal regularity and optimal dependence on the parameter δ for Lp solutions of the problem. The main tools of our approach are impedance and admittance operators (i.e. Dirichlet-to-Neumann and Neumann-to-Dirichlet operators) and H functional calculus for sectorial operators in Banach spaces.  相似文献
