A spatio-temporal localization of the BMO-version of the Beale–Kato–Majda criterion for the regularity of solutions to the 3D Navier–Stokes equations obtained by Kozono and Taniuchi, i.e., the time-integrability of the BMO-norm of the vorticity, is presented.  相似文献

The equation ut=Δp(u1/(p−1)) for p>1 is a nonlinear generalization of the heat equation which is also homogeneous, of degree 1. For large time asymptotics, its links with the optimal Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality have recently been investigated. Here we focus on the existence and the uniqueness of the solutions to the Cauchy problem and on the regularization properties (hypercontractivity and ultracontractivity) of the equation using the Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality. A large deviation result based on a Hamilton-Jacobi equation and also related to the Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality is then stated.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the analysis of function spaces modeled on Besov spaces and their applications to non-linear partial differential equations, with emphasis on the incompressible, isotropic Navier-Stokes system and semi-linear heat equations. Specifically, we consider the class, introduced by Hideo Kozono and Masao Yamazaki, of Besov spaces based on Morrey spaces, which we call Besov-Morrey or BM spaces. We obtain equivalent representations in terms of the Weierstrass semigroup and wavelets, and various embeddings in classical spaces. We then establish pseudo-differential and para-differential estimates. Our results cover non-regular and exotic symbols. Although the heat semigroup is not strongly continuous on Morrey spaces, we show that its action defines an equivalent norm. In particular, homogeneous BM spaces belong to a larger class constructed by Grzegorz Karch to analyze scaling in parabolic equations. We compare Karch's results with those of Kozono and Yamazaki and generalize them by obtaining short-time existence and uniqueness of solutions for arbitrary data with subcritical regularity. We exploit pseudo-differential calculus to extend the analysis to compact, smooth, boundaryless, Riemannian manifolds. BM spaces are defined by means of partitions of unity and coordinate patches, and intrinsically in terms of functions of the Laplace operator.

Abstract

The article is devoted to representation of weak solutions (in Sobolev sense) of degenerate parabolic partial differential equations through forward-backward stochastic differential equations. Before, we prove a weak version of a norm equivalence result.  相似文献

We obtain Strichartz estimates for the fractional heat equations by using both the abstract Strichartz estimates of Keel-Tao and the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality. We also prove an endpoint homogeneous Strichartz estimate via replacing by BMOx(Rn) and a parabolic homogeneous Strichartz estimate. Meanwhile, we generalize the Strichartz estimates by replacing the Lebesgue spaces with either Besov spaces or Sobolev spaces. Moreover, we establish the Strichartz estimates for the fractional heat equations with a time dependent potential of an appropriate integrability. As an application, we prove the global existence and uniqueness of regular solutions in spatial variables for the generalized Navier-Stokes system with Lr(Rn) data.  相似文献

By means of the martingale representation, we establish a new modified logarithmic Sobolev inequality, which covers the previous modified logarithmic Sobolev inequalities of Bobkov-Ledoux and the L 1-logarithmic Sobolev inequality obtained in our previous work. From it we derive several sharp deviation inequalities of Talagrand's type, by following the powerful Herbst method developed recently by Ledoux and al. Moreover this new modified logarithmic Sobolev inequality is transported on the discontinuous path space with respect to the law of a Lévy process. We show precompactness results for solutions to parabolic fourth order geometric evolution equations. As part of the proof we obtain smoothing estimates for these flows in the presence of a curvature bound, an improvement on prior results which also require a Sobolev constant bound. As consequences of these results we show that for any solution with a finite time singularity, the L norm of the curvature must go to infinity. Furthermore, we characterize the behavior at infinity of solutions with bounded curvature.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the initial boundary value problem of the three‐dimensional primitive equations for planetary oceanic and atmospheric dynamics with only horizontal eddy viscosity in the horizontal momentum equations and only horizontal diffusion in the temperature equation. Global well‐posedness of the strong solution is established for any H2 initial data. An N‐dimensional logarithmic Sobolev embedding inequality, which bounds the L‐norm in terms of the Lq‐norms up to a logarithm of the Lp‐norm for p > N of the first‐order derivatives, and a system version of the classic Grönwall inequality are exploited to establish the required a~priori H2 estimates for global regularity.© 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

In this article, we investigate interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin (IPDG) methods for solving a class of two‐dimensional nonlinear parabolic equations. For semi‐discrete IPDG schemes on a quasi‐uniform family of meshes, we obtain a priori bounds on solutions measured in the L2 norm and in the broken Sobolev norm. The fully discrete IPDG schemes considered are based on the approximation by forward Euler difference in time and broken Sobolev space. Under a restriction related to the mesh size and time step, an hp ‐version of an a priori l(L2) and l2(H1) error estimate is derived and numerical experiments are presented.© 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We prove a general optimal Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality by using Prékopa-Leindler inequality and a special Hamilton-Jacobi equation. In particular we generalize the inequality proved by Del Pino and Dolbeault in (J. Funt. Anal.).  相似文献

A degenerate fourth-order parabolic equation modeling condensation phenomena related to Bose-Einstein particles is analyzed. The model can be motivated from the spatially homogeneous and isotropic Boltzmann-Nordheim equation by a formal Taylor expansion of the collision integral. It maintains some of the main features of the kinetic model, namely mass and energy conservation and condensation at zero energy. The existence of local-in-time weak solutions satisfying a certain entropy inequality is proven. The main result asserts that if a weighted L 1 norm of the initial data is sufficiently large and the initial data satisfies some integrability conditions, the solution blows up with respect to the L norm in finite time. Furthermore, the set of all such blow-up enforcing initial functions is shown to be dense in the set of all admissible initial data. The proofs are based on approximation arguments and interpolation inequalities in weighted Sobolev spaces. By exploiting the entropy inequality, a nonlinear integral inequality is proved which implies the finite-time blow-up property.  相似文献

We analyse the large-time asymptotics of quasilinear (possibly) degenerate parabolic systems in three cases: 1) scalar problems with confinement by a uniformly convex potential, 2) unconfined scalar equations and 3) unconfined systems. In particular we are interested in the rate of decay to equilibrium or self-similar solutions. The main analytical tool is based on the analysis of the entropy dissipation. In the scalar case this is done by proving decay of the entropy dissipation rate and bootstrapping back to show convergence of the relative entropy to zero. As by-product, this approach gives generalized Sobolev-inequalities, which interpolate between the Gross logarithmic Sobolev inequality and the classical Sobolev inequality. The time decay of the solutions of the degenerate systems is analyzed by means of a generalisation of the Nash inequality. Porous media, fast diffusion, p-Laplace and energy transport systems are included in the considered class of problems. A generalized Csiszár–Kullback inequality allows for an estimation of the decay to equilibrium in terms of the relative entropy.  相似文献

Parabolic sections were introduced by Huang[1] to study the parabolic MongeAmpère equation. In this note,we introduce the generalized parabolic sections P and define BMOPq spaces related to these sections. We then establish the John-Nirenberg type inequality and verify that all BMOqP are equivalent for q ≥ 1.  相似文献

We introduce Triebel-Lizorkin-Lorentz function spaces, based on the Lorentz Lp,q-spaces instead of the standard Lp-spaces, and prove a local-in-time unique existence and a blow-up criterion of solutions in those spaces for the Euler equations of inviscid incompressible fluid in Rn,n≥2. As a corollary we obtain global existence of solutions to the 2D Euler equations in the Triebel-Lizorkin-Lorentz space. For the proof, we establish the Beale-Kato-Majda type logarithmic inequality and commutator estimates in our spaces. The key methods of proof used are the Littlewood-Paley decomposition and the paradifferential calculus by J.M. Bony.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet problem for non‐divergence parabolic equation with discontinuous in t coefficients in a half space. The main result is weighted coercive estimates of solutions in anisotropic Sobolev spaces. We give an application of this result to linear and quasi‐linear parabolic equations in a bounded domain. In particular, if the boundary is of class C1,δ , δ ∈ [0, 1], then we present a coercive estimate of solutions in weighted anisotropic Sobolev spaces, where the weight is a power of the distance to the boundary (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The present paper is concerned with the existence of multiple solutions for semi-linear corner-degenerate elliptic equations with subcritical conditions. First, we introduce the corner type weighted p-Sobolev spaces and discuss the properties of continuous embedding, compactness and spectrum. Then, we prove the corner type Sobolev inequality and Poincaré inequality, which are important in the proof of the main result.  相似文献

We give a sufficient (and, in the case of a compact domain, a necessary) condition for the embedding of Sobolev space of functions with integrable gradient into Besov-Orlicz spaces to be bounded. The condition has a form of a simple integral inequality involving Young and weight functions. We provide an example with Matuszewska-Orlicz indices of involved Orlicz norm equal to one. The main tool is the molecular decomposition of functions from a BV space.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the Hodge Laplacian on differential k-forms over smooth open manifolds MN, not necessarily compact. We find sufficient conditions under which the existence of a family of logarithmic Sobolev inequalities for the Hodge Laplacian is equivalent to the ultracontractivity of its heat operator. We will also show how to obtain a logarithmic Sobolev inequality for the Hodge Laplacian when there exists one for the Laplacian on functions. In the particular case of Ricci curvature bounded below, we use the Gaussian type bound for the heat kernel of the Laplacian on functions in order to obtain a similar Gaussian type bound for the heat kernel of the Hodge Laplacian. This is done via logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and under the additional assumption that the volume of balls of radius one is uniformly bounded below.  相似文献
