We investigate a steady flow of a viscous compressible fluid with inflow boundary condition on the density and inhomogeneous slip boundary conditions on the velocity in a cylindrical domain Ω=Ω0×(0,L)∈R3. We show existence of a solution , p>3, where v is the velocity of the fluid and ρ is the density, that is a small perturbation of a constant flow (, ). We also show that this solution is unique in a class of small perturbations of . The term u⋅∇w in the continuity equation makes it impossible to show the existence applying directly a fixed point method. Thus in order to show existence of the solution we construct a sequence (vn,ρn) that is bounded in and satisfies the Cauchy condition in a larger space L(0,L;L2(Ω0)) what enables us to deduce that the weak limit of a subsequence of (vn,ρn) is in fact a strong solution to our problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the stability to the global large solutions of 3-D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in the anisotropic Sobolev spaces. In particular, we proved that for any , given a global large solution vC([0,∞);H0,s0(R3)∩L3(R3)) of (1.1) with and a divergence free vector satisfying for some sufficiently small constant depending on , v, and , (1.1) supplemented with initial data v(0)+w0 has a unique global solution in uC([0,∞);H0,s0(R3)) with ∇uL2(R+,H0,s0(R3)). Furthermore, uh is close enough to vh in C([0,∞);H0,s(R3)).  相似文献

Consider the eigenvalue problem : −Δu=λf(x,u) in Ω, u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in RN. Denote by the set of all Carathéodory functions f:Ω×RR such that for a.e. xΩ, f(x,⋅) is Lipschitzian with Lipschitz constant L, f(x,0)=0 and , and denote by (resp. ) the set of λ>0 such that has at least one nonzero classical (resp. weak) solution. Let λ1 be the first eigenvalue for the Laplacian-Dirichlet problem. We prove that and . Our result is a positive answer to Ricceri's conjecture if use f(x,u) instead of f(u) in the conjecture.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with a singular parabolic equation in a smooth bounded domain ΩRN subject to zero Dirichlet boundary condition and initial condition φ?0. Under the assumptions on μ, φ and f(x,t), some existence and uniqueness results are obtained by applying parabolic regularization method and the sub-supersolutions method. We also discuss the asymptotic behaviors of solutions in the sense of and L(0,T;L2(Ω)) norms as μ→0 or μ→∞. As a byproduct we obtain the existence of solutions for some problems which blow up on the boundary.  相似文献

Let ΩRN be a bounded domain and let μ be an admissible measure on ∂Ω. We show in the first part that if Ω has the H1-extension property, then a realization of the Laplace operator with generalized nonlinear Robin boundary conditions, formally given by on ∂Ω, generates a strongly continuous nonlinear submarkovian semigroup SB=(SB(t))t?0 on L2(Ω). We also obtain that this semigroup is ultracontractive in the sense that for every u,vLp(Ω), p?2 and every t>0, one has

The boundedness of the composition operator Cφf(z)=f(φ(z)) from the Hardy space , where X is the upper half-plane or the unit disk D={zC:|z|<1} in the complex plane C, to the nth weighted-type space, where φ is an analytic self-map of X, is characterized.  相似文献

We consider the 2m-th order elliptic boundary value problem Lu=f(x,u) on a bounded smooth domain ΩRN with Dirichlet boundary conditions on ∂Ω. The operator L is a uniformly elliptic linear operator of order 2m whose principle part is of the form . We assume that f is superlinear at the origin and satisfies , , where are positive functions and q>1 is subcritical. By combining degree theory with new and recently established a priori estimates, we prove the existence of a nontrivial solution.  相似文献

Let (Ω,ß,μ) be a finite measure space and let (S,F,ν) be another probability measure space on which a measure preserving transformation φ is given. We introduce the so-called affine systems and prove a vector-valued nonlinear random ergodic theorem for the random affine system determined by a strongly F-measurable family of affine operators, where B is a reflexive Banach space, is a strongly F-measurable family of linear contractions on L1(Ω,B) as well as on L(Ω,B) and ξ is a function in (IT)Lp(S×Ω,B) (1?p<∞) with the operator T defined by Tf(s,ω)=[Tsfφs](ω) which denotes the F⊗ß-measurable version of Tsfφs(ω). Moreover, some variant forms of the nonlinear random ergodic theorem are also obtained with some examples of affine systems for which the nonlinear ergodic theorems fail to hold.  相似文献

The Schur sufficiency condition for boundedness of any integral operator with non-negative kernel betweenL2-spaces is deduced from an observation, Proposition 1.2, about the central role played byL2-spaces in the general theory of these operators. Suppose (Ω, , μ) is a measure space and thatK: Ω×Ω→[0, ∞) is an ×-measurable kernel. The special case of Proposition 1.2 for symmetrical kernels says that such a linear integral operator is bounded onanyreasonable normed linear spaceXof -measurable functions only if it is bounded onL2(Ω, , μ) where its norm is no larger. The general form of Schur's condition (Halmos and Sunder “Bounded Integral Operators onL2-Spaces,” Springer-Verlag, Berlin/New York, 1978) is a simple corollary which, in the symmetrical case, says that the existence of an -measurable (not necessarily square-integrable) functionh>0μ-almost-everywhere onΩwithimplies thatKis a bounded (self-adjoint) operator onL2(Ω, , μ) of norm at mostΛ. When (Ω, , μ) isσ-finite, we show that Schur's condition is sharp: in the symmetrical case the boundedness of onL2(Ω, , μ) implies, for anyΛ>‖‖2, the existence of a functionhL2(Ω, , μ) which is positiveμ-almost-everywhere and satisfies (*). Such functionshsatisfying (*), whether inL2(Ω, , μ) or not, will be calledSchur test functions. They can be found explicitly in significant examples to yield best-possible estimates of the norms for classes of integral operators with non-negative kernels. In the general theory the operators are not required to be symmetrical (a theorem of Chisholm and Everitt (Proc. Roy. Soc. Edinburgh Sect. A69(14) (1970/1971), 199–204) on non-self-adjoint operators is derived in this way). They may even act between differentL2-spaces. Section 2 is a rather substantial study of how this method yields the exact value of the norm of a particular operator between differentL2-spaces which arises naturally in Wiener–Hopf theory and which has several puzzling features.  相似文献

There are only very few results on the existence of unique local in time strong solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations for completely general domains ΩR3, although domains with edges and corners, bounded or unbounded, are very important in applications. The reason is that the Lq-theory for the Stokes operator A is available in general only in the Hilbert space setting, i.e., with q=2. Our main result for a general domain Ω is optimal in a certain sense: Consider an initial value and a zero external force. Then the condition is sufficient and necessary for the existence of a unique local strong solution uL8(0,T;L4(Ω)) in some interval [0,T), 0<T, with u(0)=u0, satisfying Serrin’s condition . Note that Fujita-Kato’s sufficient condition u0D(A1/4) is strictly stronger and therefore not optimal.  相似文献

We study the boundary value problem in Ω, u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in RN (N?3) and is a p(x)-Laplace type operator with p(.):Ω→[1,+∞) a measurable function and b a continuous and nondecreasing function from RR. We prove the existence and uniqueness of an entropy solution for L1-data f.  相似文献

We treat the question of existence of common hypercyclic vectors for families of continuous linear operators. It is shown that for any continuous linear operator T on a complex Fréchet space X and a set ΛR+×C which is not of zero three-dimensional Lebesgue measure, the family has no common hypercyclic vectors. This allows to answer negatively questions raised by Godefroy and Shapiro and by Aron. We also prove a sufficient condition for a family of scalar multiples of a given operator on a complex Fréchet space to have a common hypercyclic vector. It allows to show that if and φH(D) is non-constant, then the family has a common hypercyclic vector, where Mφ:H2(D)→H2(D), Mφf=φf, and , providing an affirmative answer to a question by Bayart and Grivaux. Finally, extending a result of Costakis and Sambarino, we prove that the family has a common hypercyclic vector, where Tbf(z)=f(zb) acts on the Fréchet space H(C) of entire functions on one complex variable.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the attractors for the two-dimensional nonautonomous Navier-Stokes equations in nonsmooth bounded domain Ω with nonhomogeneous boundary condition u=φ on ∂Ω. Assuming , which is translation compact and φL(∂Ω), we establish the existence of the uniform attractor in L2(Ω) and .  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to prove the existence of a unique, classical solution to the nonlinear elliptic partial differential equation −∇⋅(a(u(x))∇u(x))=f(x) under periodic boundary conditions, where u(x0)=u0 at x0Ω, with Ω=TN, the N-dimensional torus, and N=2,3. The function a is assumed to be smooth, and a(u(x))>0 for , where GR is a bounded interval. We prove that if the functions f and a satisfy certain conditions, then a unique classical solution u exists. The range of the solution u is a subset of a specified interval . Applications of this work include stationary heat/diffusion problems with a source/sink, where the value of the solution is known at a spatial location x0.  相似文献

We consider a family of self-adjoint Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operators Lα in an infinite dimensional Hilbert space H having the same gaussian invariant measure μ for all α∈[0,1]. We study the Dirichlet problem for the equation λφLαφ=f in a closed set K, with fL2(K,μ). We first prove that the variational solution, trivially provided by the Lax-Milgram theorem, can be represented, as expected, by means of the transition semigroup stopped to K. Then we address two problems: 1) the regularity of the solution φ (which is by definition in a Sobolev space ) of the Dirichlet problem; 2) the meaning of the Dirichlet boundary condition. Concerning regularity, we are able to prove interior regularity results; concerning the boundary condition we consider both irregular and regular boundaries. In the first case we content to have a solution whose null extension outside K belongs to . In the second case we exploit the Malliavin's theory of surface integrals which is recalled in Appendix A of the paper, then we are able to give a meaning to the trace of φ at ∂K and to show that it vanishes, as it is natural.  相似文献

For independently distributed observables: XiN(θi,σ2),i=1,…,p, we consider estimating the vector θ=(θ1,…,θp) with loss ‖dθ2 under the constraint , with known τ1,…,τp,σ2,m. In comparing the risk performance of Bayesian estimators δα associated with uniform priors on spheres of radius α centered at (τ1,…,τp) with that of the maximum likelihood estimator , we make use of Stein’s unbiased estimate of risk technique, Karlin’s sign change arguments, and a conditional risk analysis to obtain for a fixed (m,p) necessary and sufficient conditions on α for δα to dominate . Large sample determinations of these conditions are provided. Both cases where all such δα’s and cases where no such δα’s dominate are elicited. We establish, as a particular case, that the boundary uniform Bayes estimator δm dominates if and only if mk(p) with , improving on the previously known sufficient condition of Marchand and Perron (2001) [3] for which . Finally, we improve upon a universal dominance condition due to Marchand and Perron, by establishing that all Bayesian estimators δπ with π spherically symmetric and supported on the parameter space dominate whenever mc1(p) with .  相似文献

A non-linear structure preserving matrix method for the computation of a structured low rank approximation of the Sylvester resultant matrix S(f,g) of two inexact polynomials f=f(y) and g=g(y) is considered in this paper. It is shown that considerably improved results are obtained when f(y) and g(y) are processed prior to the computation of , and that these preprocessing operations introduce two parameters. These parameters can either be held constant during the computation of , which leads to a linear structure preserving matrix method, or they can be incremented during the computation of , which leads to a non-linear structure preserving matrix method. It is shown that the non-linear method yields a better structured low rank approximation of S(f,g) and that the assignment of f(y) and g(y) is important because may be a good structured low rank approximation of S(f,g), but may be a poor structured low rank approximation of S(g,f) because its numerical rank is not defined. Examples that illustrate the differences between the linear and non-linear structure preserving matrix methods, and the importance of the assignment of f(y) and g(y), are shown.  相似文献
