We study the production of neutron-rich hypernuclei Λ 12 Be, Λ 16 C, and Λ 10 Li by the (π?, K+) and (K?, π+) reactions in flight and treat two different mechanisms of production. The first mechanism is a two-step process with meson charge exchange (e.g., π?pπ0n, π0pK+Λ). The other mechanism is one-step production (π?pK+Σ?) proceeding via a small Σ? component, arising in Λ hypernuclei due to ΛN–ΣN coupling, as a doorway state. Typically, the two-step mechanism is more productive. The forward differential cross section of the 10B(π?,K+) reaction is about 70 nb/sr at an incident momentum of 1.05 GeV/c. On the other hand, the one-step process can serve as a direct measurement of the Σ admixture if the two-step contribution is suppressed by a suitable choice of the reaction kinematics.  相似文献

Data from the LHCb experiments are indicative of a substantial distinction between the BK (or K*) + e+e? and BK (or K*) + μ+μ? branching ratios (April 2017). The branching ratio for the e+e? channel is substantially greater than that for the μ+μ? channel, whereas Standard Model (SM) calculations require that they be equal to each other. The above distinction may suggest the existence of a new interaction changing generations and discriminating between leptons that has couplings that are much greater than and are inverse in strength to the SM fermion couplings to the Higgs boson. Under conditions of spontaneously violated mirror symmetry, the coupling of SM particles to the second Higgs scalar that is inevitably present there and which is in principle heavy possesses precisely these properties. An inverse character of this coupling and its strength are not an additional hypothesis but a necessary condition for qualitatively reproducing, in addition, the observed charged-lepton mass hierarchy and the structure of weak lepton mixing—the Pontecorvo–Maki–Nakagawa–Sakata (PMNS) matrix. Within the mirror model being considered, all properties of the new interaction, including its inverse character, are due to the hierarchical character of the quark and charged-lepton mass spectrum.  相似文献

Precise measurements on rare radiative B decays are performed with the LHCb experiment at LHC. The LHCb results regarding the ratio of branching fractions for two radiative decays, B 0K *0 γ and B s → ?γ, the direct CP asymmetry in B 0K *0 γ decay channel and the observation of the photon polarization in the B ±K ±π?π± γ decay, are included. The first two measurements were performed in 1 fb–1 of pp collisions data and the third one in 3 fb–1 of data, respectively.  相似文献

The decay of Xe131m was investigated in order to detect nuclear double decay processes, in which the transition energy is distributed either between twoγ-quanta or between oneγ-quantum and oneK-conversion electron or between twoK-conversion electrons. By analyzing the emittedγ-radiation in a two-dimensional way an upper limit of 2.2 · 10?5 was derived for the ratio of theγγ- toγ-transition probability. An investigation of theγ-spectrum in coincidence withK-quanta yielded an upper limit of 3 · 10?2 for the rate ofe Kγ-transitions relative toγ-transitions. The simultaneous emission of twoK-quanta was actually observed. These doubleK-quanta result either from the doubleK-conversion that was sought or from the internal conversion of the internal Compton-effect. For the doubleK-electron emission toγ-emission probability a value of (3.6±0.7) · 10?3 was obtained. TheK-conversion coefficient and the half-life of Xe131m were measured to be 32.1±0.4 and 11.94±0.04 d, respectively.  相似文献

The population noise in a semiconductor laser is calculated by means of the quantum mechanical Langevin method. The resulting population noise is given by 〈δ N c 2 〉=(T c/2) (rate in+rate out)+K(¯n), whereN c is the total number of electrons in the conduction band in the active region,T c is a relaxation time. The first expression is the usual shot noise term. The transition rates are the sum of the rates due to the light field, the pumping and the spontaneous emission. The last termK(¯ n) is caused by the light field fluctuations;¯n is the mean number of photons in the laser mode.K(¯ n) consists of two parts: a) The main part is proportional to the intensity noise of the light field, which increases below but near threshold and gets constant above threshold. b) There is a second term due to the fact that parts of the fluctuations of the population and of the light field are correlated. — The noise spectrumS I(ω) of the junction currentI is calculated for low frequencies. Beyond the usual shot noise termS I(0)=2eI, additional noise is found in and above the threshold region, a) mainly because of the fluctuations of the light field in the laser mode and b) to a small amount, because the absorption processes due to the laser photons weaken the forward current, which is carried by emission processes, while the absorption noise adds to the emission noise.  相似文献

The decay of mesons K +π ? l + l+ and D +K ? l + l+ (l, l′ = e, μ) involving a change of lepton number ΔL = 2 is considered in a supersymmetric extension of the standard model in which R-parity is not conserved due to trilinear Yukawa interactions. The obtained estimates for the probabilities of these decays are significantly lower than the direct experimental upper limits.  相似文献

The momentum distribution of kaons in the proton and the coupling-constant ratio fKΛN/fKΣN are determined on the basis of the 3P0 quark model of meson-baryon coupling. The longitudinal cross section for kaon electroproduction is calculated. The results of the present study are compatible with available experimental data, but more detailed data on the longitudinal cross section would make it possible to refine the absolute values of the coupling constants fKΛN and fKΣN.  相似文献

We investigate the linear thermoelectric response of an interacting quantum dot side-coupled by one of two Majorana modes hosted by a topological superconducting wire. We employ the numerical renormalization group technique to obtain the thermoelectrical conductance L in the Kondo regime while the background temperature T, the Majorana-dot coupling Γ m , and the overlap ε m between the two Majorana modes are tuned. We distinguish two transport regimes in which L displays different features: the weak- (Γ m <T K ) and strong-coupling (Γ m >T K ) regimes, where T K is the Kondo temperature. For an infinitely long nanowire where the Majorana modes do not overlap (ε m = 0), the thermoelectrical conductance in the weak-coupling regime exhibits a peak at T ~ Γ m <T K . This peak is ascribed to the anti-Fano resonance between the asymmetric Kondo resonance and the zero-energy Majorana bound state. In the strong-coupling regime, on the other hand, the Kondo-induced peak in L is affected by the induced Zeeman splitting in the dot. For finite but small overlap (0 <ε m <Γ m ), the interference between the two Majorana modes restores the Kondo effect in a smaller energy scale Γ′ m and gives rise to an additional peak in Γ ~ Γ′ m, whose sign is opposite to that at T ~ Γ m . In the strong-coupling regime this additional peak can cause a non-monotonic behavior of L with respect to the dot gate. Finally, in order to identify the fingerprint of Majorana physics, we compare the Majorana case with its counterpart in which the Majorana bound states are replaced by a (spin-polarized) ordinary bound state and find that the thermoelectric features for finite ε m are the genuine effect of the Majorana physics.  相似文献

We study the transverse momentum spectra of identified pions (π + π+), kaons ((K + K +), K 0 s ), protons (p + p?) and lambda hyperons (Λ + Λ?) produced at mid-rapidity (0 < y cm < 0.5) in most central (0?5)% p–Pb collisions at \(\sqrt {s_{NN} }\) = 5.02 TeV in comparison with a Unified Statistical Thermal Freeze-out Model (USTFM). The measurements for pions are reported upto p T = 3 GeV, the kaons (K + K +) are reported upto p T = 2.5 GeV, K 0 s is reported upto p T = 7 GeV, and the baryons (protons and lambda hyperons) are reported upto p T = 3.5 GeV. A good agreement is seen between the calculated results and the experimental data points taken from the ALICE experiment. The transverse momentum spectra are found to be flatter for heavy particles than for light particles. Bulk freeze-out properties in terms of kinetic freeze-out temperature and the transverse collective flow velocity are extracted from the fits of the transverse momentum spectra of these hadrons. The effect of resonance decay contributions has also been taken care of.  相似文献

The photo electron method for obtaining electron binding energies is described. The method has been applied to theL I,L II, andL III levels in hafnium. The HfK α1 and HfK α2 x-ray emission lines have been measured with a crystal spectrometer. The electron binding energies of theK toO III shells in hafnium are obtained from photo electron and x-ray emission data. A new type of Moseley diagram is described and is demonstrated for theK andL levels in theZ region 57 to 75. From these diagrams accurate binding energies for the element Pm (Z=61) have been obtained by interpolation.  相似文献

We present an analysis of recent high-statistical KLOE data on φηπ0γ decay. This decay mainly goes through the a0γ intermediate state, which makes it possible to investigate properties of the a0. It is shown that KLOE data prefer a higher a0 mass and a considerably larger a0 coupling to the K\(\bar K\) than those obtained in the analysis of the KLOE group.  相似文献

The static model invariant under SU3 is discussed. The baryons and mesons are assigned according to the “eightfold way”, and the Low equation for the scattering matrix is derived. The scattering matric has been diagonalized for arbitrary mixing ofF- andD-type coupling and the crossing matrix has been calculated. To determine the mixing of the two couplings photoproduction cross sections have been calculated. From the comparison of theK + Λ andK + Σ0 production cross sections with experiment it follows that α=D/F=3.5. For this value of α the model predicts the 3/2 decublet resonance in very good agreement with the experimental situation.  相似文献

There should be two contributions to the pair breaking energy in an antiferromagnetic metal. The first, already discussed byde Gennes andSarma, is due to disorder on the magnetic sites. The second is a temperature dependent contribution from electron magnon scattering. This term is calculated for the temperature rangeT N(J/μ)2?T?T N and found to be of orderT 2/T N. We report a quantitative investigation of the magnetic field-temperature phase diagram by taking into account a simple phenomenological model arising out of the interplay of kinetic arrest and thermodynamic transitions in a magnetic glass Pr0.5Ca0.5Mn0.975Al0.025O3, through magnetization measurements. Such studies are necessary as kinetic arrest plays an important role in the formation of “magnetic glasses”, which has been observed in systems undergoing first order magnetic phase transitions. It has been shown that disorder in a system results in the formation kinetic arrest (H K ,T K ) band, like supercooling (H *,T *) and superheating (H **,T **) band. Quantitative proofs are given to show that (H K ,T K ) band is anticorrelated with (H *,T *) and (H **,T **) bands, while the later two are correlated among themselves. Analysis of time dependence of magnetization at different temperatures is carried out to establish the fact that the kinetic arrested state is different from the supercooled state.  相似文献

A phenomenological Regge-eikonal model featuring nonlinear monotonic parametrizations of vacuum Regge trajectories, where their asymptotic behavior in the perturbative sector is taken explicitly into account, is proposed for describing the elastic diffractive scattering of light pseudoscalar mesons on nucleons. In analyzing available experimental data on angular distributions, it is shown that, at collision energies in the region √s > 13 GeV, the diffraction pattern of the processes π ± pπ ± p and K ± pK ± p at low momentum transfers can be described qualitatively by using the same phenomenological approximations to vacuum Regge trajectories as in the case of nucleon-nucleon scattering. This fact is indicative of the possibility of explicitly relating Regge phenomenology of various hadron-hadron processes to fundamental results obtained within QCD.  相似文献

The Nc dependence of PPPγ vertices, where P is a pseudoscalar meson and Nc is the number of colors, is analyzed with allowance for the Nc dependence of the quark charges. It is shown that the reactions and π±γπ±η and the decay ηπ+π?γ are the best processes for determining Nc. The cross section σ(π?γπ?η) as measured by using the VES facility at IHEP agrees with the value of Nc=3.  相似文献

We discuss the scenario where the X(3872) resonance is the \(c\bar c\) = χc1(2P) charmonium which “sits on” the D*0\({\bar D^0}\) threshold. We explain the shift of the mass of the X(3872) resonance with respect to the prediction of a potential model for the mass of the χc1(2P) charmonium by the contribution of the virtual D*\(\bar D\) + c.c. intermediate states into the self energy of the X(3872) resonance. This allows us to estimate the coupling constant of the X(3872) resonance with the D*0\({\bar D^0}\) channel, the branching ratio of the X(3872) → D*0\({\bar D^0}\) + c.c. decay, and the branching ratio of the X(3872) decay into all non-D*0\({\bar D^0}\) + c.c. states. We predict a significant number of unknown decays of X(3872) via two gluon: X(3872) → gluongluonhadrons. We suggest a physically clear program of experimental researches for verification of our assumption.  相似文献

Dielectric anomalies in the vicinity of the ferroelectric phase transition in nominally pure glycine phosphite (GPI) crystals and glycine phosphite crystals containing 2 mol % glycine phosphate (GP) are studied. It is revealed that the impurity-induced internal macroscopic polarization observed for GPI-GP crystals brings about smearing of the dielectric anomalies in directions both parallel and perpendicular to the axis of spontaneous polarization. The ferroelectric phase of the GPI and GPI-GP crystals is characterized by an unusual variation in the inverse permittivity in the Z direction perpendicular to the Y axis of spontaneous polarization. The temperature dependence of the inverse permittivity is described by a power expression (T c ? T) n with an exponent n larger than unity. The experimental data are analyzed in terms of the proposed thermodynamic model with two order parameters, namely, the displacement parameter η and the order-disorder parameter P, which have different physical natures but the same symmetry and allow for coupling invariants of the ηP and η3 P types, as well as for the built-in polarization in the case of GPI-GP crystals. The experimental and theoretical dependences are in good agreement. The coefficients of bilinear and nonlinear coupling between the order parameters are determined. It is shown that the phase transition in the crystals occurs in the vicinity of the tricritical point and that the unusual behavior of the permittivity with a variation in the temperature is explained by the contribution from high-order invariants of coupling.  相似文献

Intercalation of graphene on Ir (111) with Sm atoms is studied by methods of thermal desorption spectroscopy and thermionic emission. It is shown that adsorption of samarium at T = 300 K on graphene to concentrations of N ≤ 6 × 1014 atoms cm–2 followed by heating of the substrate leads to practically complete escape of adsorbate underneath the graphene layer. At N > 6 × 1014 atoms cm–2 and increasing temperature, a fraction of adsorbate remains on graphene in the form of two-dimensional “gas” and samarium islands and are desorbed in the range of temperatures of 1000–1200 K. Samarium remaining under the graphene is desorbed from the surface in the temperature range 1200–2150 K. Model conceptions for the samarium–graphene–iridium system in a wide temperature range are developed.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure of the groundstate 6s 2 S 1/2 and the nuclear magnetic dipole moment of gold 197 have been studied by the atomic beam magnetic resonance technique. A special high frequency arrangement is described. The hyperfine structure separationΔ v was determined fromΔF=1 transitions. The magnetic dipole momentμ I was measured by a direct method. The experiments yield the following results:Δv (2S1/2)=(6099,309±0,010) Mc/secμ I (Au197)=+(0,1445±0,0014)μ K.  相似文献
