Composites representing a network of random Josephson junctions and characterized by the compositions 92.5 at. % Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7+7.5 at. % NiTiO3 and 92.5 at. % Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7+7.5 at.% MgTiO3 are synthesized, and their magnetoresistance properties are studied. The temperature dependence of the resistance R(T) measured for the composite that contains the paramagnetic NiTiO3 compound exhibits a characteristic feature below the superconducting transition temperature Tc of the high-Tc superconductor, namely, a region where R is independent of the current j and weakly depends on the magnetic field H. Below a certain temperature Tm, a strong dependence of R on j and H is observed, which is peculiar to a network of Josephson junctions. The dependences R(T, j, H) obtained for the “reference” samples with the nonmagnetic MgTiO3 compound exhibit no such features. The anomalous behavior of the HTSC + NiTiO3 composite is explained by the effect produced by the magnetic moments of Ni atoms in the insulating barriers on the transport current.  相似文献

Near the critical temperature of a superconducting transition, the energy of the threshold perturbation δFthr that transfers a superconducting bridge to a resistive state at a current below the critical current Ic has been determined. It has been shown that δFthr increases with a decrease in the length of a bridge for short bridges with lengths L < ξ (where ξ is the coherence length) and is saturated for long bridges with L ? ξ. At certain geometrical parameters of banks and bridge, the function δFthr(L) at the current I → 0 has a minimum at L ~ (2–3)ξ. These results indicate that the effect of fluctuations on Josephson junctions made in the form of short superconducting bridges is reduced and that the effect of fluctuations on bridges with lengths ~(2–3)ξ is enhanced.  相似文献

We studied the commensurate semifluxon oscillations of Josephson flux-flow in Bi-2212 stacked structures near Tc as a probe of melting of a Josephson vortex lattice. We found that oscillations exist above 0.5 T. The amplitude of the oscillations is found to decrease gradually with the temperature and to turn to zero without any jump at T = T0 (3.5 K below the resistive transition temperature Tc), thus, indicating a phase transition of the second order. This characteristic temperature T0 is identified as the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) transition temperature, TBKT, in the elementary superconducting layers of Bi-2212 at zero magnetic field. On the basis of these facts, we infer that melting of a triangular Josephson vortex lattice occurs via the BKT phase with formation of characteristic flux loops containing pancake vortices and antivortices. The B-T phase diagram of the BKT phase found from our experiment is consistent with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The B-T diagram of Josephson vortex lattice melting in Bi-2212 is analyzed (B is magnetic induction parallel to the layers, T is temperature). It is shown that the Josephson vortex lattice melting at B > B* = 0.6–0.7 T is associated with Berezinsky-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition in individual Bi-2212 superconducting layers and is a second-order phase transition.  相似文献

We report on the discovery and novel physics of a new superconductivity dome in LaFeAsO1?xFx with high-doping rate (0.25 ≤x≤0.75) synthesized by using the high-pressure technique. The maximal critical temperature Tc = 30 K peaked at xopt = 0.5 ~0.55, which is even higher than that at x≤ 0.2. By nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), we find that the new superconducting dome is far away from a magnetically ordered phase without low-energy magnetic fluctuations. Instead, NMR and transmission electron microscopy measurements indicate that a C4 rotation symmetry-breaking structural transition takes place for x> 0.5 above Tc. The electrical resistivity shows a temperature-linear behavior around the doping level where the crystal transition temperature extrapolate to zero and Tc is the maximal, suggesting the importance of quantum fluctuations associated with the structural transition. Our results point to a new paradigm of high temperature superconductivity.  相似文献

We study disorder effects upon the temperature behavior of the upper critical magnetic field in an attractive Hubbard model within the generalized DMFT+Σ approach. We consider the wide range of attraction potentials U—from the weak coupling limit, where superconductivity is described by BCS model, up to the strong coupling limit, where superconducting transition is related to Bose–Einstein condensation (BEC) of compact Cooper pairs, formed at temperatures significantly higher than superconducting transition temperature, as well as the wide range of disorder—from weak to strong, when the system is in the vicinity of Anderson transition. The growth of coupling strength leads to the rapid growth of Hc2(T), especially at low temperatures. In BEC limit and in the region of BCS–BEC crossover Hc2(T), dependence becomes practically linear. Disordering also leads to the general growth of Hc2(T). In BCS limit of weak coupling increasing disorder lead both to the growth of the slope of the upper critical field in the vicinity of the transition point and to the increase of Hc2(T) in the low temperature region. In the limit of strong disorder in the vicinity of the Anderson transition localization corrections lead to the additional growth of Hc2(T) at low temperatures, so that the Hc2(T) dependence becomes concave. In BCS–BEC crossover region and in BEC limit disorder only slightly influences the slope of the upper critical field close to T c . However, in the low temperature region Hc2 (T may significantly grow with disorder in the vicinity of the Anderson transition, where localization corrections notably increase Hc2 (T = 0) also making Hc2(T) dependence concave.  相似文献

We have detected experimentally considerable deviations of the frequency dependences of the Shapiro step amplitudes and the critical current of Nb/Au/YBa2Cu3Ox thin-film hybrid Josephson heterojunctions prepared on YBa2Cu3Ox metal-oxide superconductor films with a tilted c axis from the regularities inherent in Josephson junctions of traditional superconductors with an s-symmetry of the order parameter. It is shown that possible formation of “splintered” fluxons with a size λsJ due to faceting of the interface and formation of a chain of nanosize 0 and π junctions must be taken into account in describing processes in lumped heterojunctions (whose size L is smaller than the Josephson penetration depth λJ determined from the averaged value of the critical current density). For heterojunctions with a size λs < L < λJ, a substantial decrease in the maximal amplitude of the first Shapiro step with increasing voltage (Josephson oscillation frequency) is observed at voltages much smaller than the energy gap in niobium (V « ΔNb/e); this effect is manifested most strongly when the size L is greater than λs. A fractional Shapiro step and a subharmonic detector response have been observed in the current-voltage characteristics of heterojunctions; the dynamic processes responsible for their emergence and indicating the presence of the second harmonic in the current-phase relation are studied. It is shown that the effect of interface faceting on the current-phase relation increases with a heterojunction size Ls.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of dielectric permittivity in the improper ferroelastic phase, including the region of the improper ferroelastic phase transition occurring at T=Tc1, were studied in the betaine phosphite-betaine phosphate solid-solution crystals. At a betaine phosphate (BP) concentration of 10%, the phase transition temperature Tc1 was found to shift toward higher temperatures by about 5 K compared to betaine phosphite (BPI) crystals, where Tc1=355 K. The phase transition remains in the vicinity of the tricritical point. As the BP concentration in BPI is increased, the dielectric anomaly at T=Tc1 weakens substantially compared to pure BPI. The nonlinear temperature dependence of reciprocal dielectric permittivity in the improper ferroelastic phase of BPIxBP1?x crystals is described in the concentration region 0.9≤x≤1 in terms of a thermodynamic model taking into account the biquadratic relation of the nonpolar order parameter of the improper ferroelastic phase transition to polarization. The decrease in the ferroelectric phase transition temperature Tc1 (or in the temperature of loss of improper ferroelastic phase stability) with increasing BP concentration in the above limits is due to the decreasing effect of the nonpolar mode on the polar instability, which is accompanied by a weakening of the dielectric anomaly at T=Tc1  相似文献

The mechanism of hole carrier generation is considered in the framework of a model assuming the formation of negative U centers (NUCs) in HTSC materials under doping. The calculated dependences of carrier concentration on the doping level and temperature are in quantitative agreement with experiment. An explanation is proposed for the pseudogap and 60 K phases in YBa2Cu3O6+δ. It is assumed that a pseudogap is of superconducting origin and arises at temperature T* > Tc∞ > Tc in small nonpercolating clusters as a result of strong fluctuations in the occupancy of NUCs (Tc∞ and Tc are the superconducting transition temperatures of an infinitely large and finite NUC clusters, respectively). The T*(δ) and Tc(δ) dependences calculated for YBa2Cu3O6+δ correlate with experimental dependences. In accordance with the model, the region between T*(δ) and Tc(δ) is the range of fluctuations in which finite nonpercolation clusters fluctuate between the superconducting and normal states due to NUC occupancy fluctuations.  相似文献

The influence of spin fluctuations on the thermodynamic properties of a helical ferromagnet MnSi has been investigated in the framework of the Hubbard model with the electronic spectrum determined from the first-principles LDA + U + SO calculation, which is extended taking into account the Hund coupling and the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya antisymmetric exchange. It has been shown that the ground state of the magnetic material is characterized by large zero-point fluctuations, which disappear at the temperature T* (<T c is the temperature of the magnetic phase transition). In this case, the entropy abruptly increases, and a lambdashaped anomaly appears in the temperature dependence of the heat capacity at constant volume (C V (T)). In the temperature range T* < T < T c , thermal fluctuations lead to the disappearance of the inhomogeneous magnetization. The competition between the increase in the entropy due to paramagnon excitations and its decrease as a result of the reduction in the amplitude of local magnetic moments, under the conditions of strong Hund exchange, is responsible for in the appearance of a “shoulder” in the dependence C V (T)).  相似文献

The effect of ion irradiation on the superconducting transition temperatureT c and resistivityρ ab (T) of YBa2Cu3O7-x films with different oxygen content (initial temperatureT c0≈90 K and 60 K) is studied experimentally. The dependenciesT c /T c0 on residual resistivityρ o are obtained in very wide range 0.2<T c /T c0 <1 andρ o μΩ·cm. The critical values ofρ o , corresponding to the vanishing of superconductivity, are found to be an order of magnitude larger then those predicted by theory ford-wave pairing. At 0.5÷0.6<T c /T c0<1 the experimental data are in close agreement with theoretical dependencies, obtained for the anisotropics-wave superconductor within the BCS-framework.  相似文献

The hysteresis of magnetoresistance R(H) and relaxation of the remanent resistance R rem with time after magnetic field treatment of HTSC (Y-Ba-Cu-O) + CuO composites are studied. Such a composite constitutes a network of Josephson junctions wherein the nonsuperconducting component (CuO) forms Josephson barriers between HTSC grains. By comparing the experimental R rem(t) and R(H) dependences, it is shown that the relaxation of the remanent resistance is caused by the decreased magnetic field in the intergrain medium due to relaxation of magnetization. The reason is uncovered for the differences between the published values of pinning potentials determined by measuring the relaxation of magnetization or resistance and fitting them by the Anderson law.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of the resistivity ρ(T) of samples of granular high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3O7 – δ are measured at various transverse external magnetic fields at 0 < H ext < 1900 Оe in the temperature range from the upper Josephson critical temperature of “weak bonds” T c2J to temperatures slightly exceeding the superconducting transition temperature T c . Based on the data obtained, the behavior of the field dependences of the critical temperatures of superconducting grains and “weak bonds,” and temperature and field dependences of the magnetic contribution to the resistivity \(\left[ {\Delta \rho \left( {T,H} \right) = \rho {{\left( T \right)}_{{H_{ext}} = const}} - \rho {{\left( T \right)}_{{H_{ext}} = 0}}} \right]\). It is shown that the behavior of the magnetic contribution to the resistivity Δρ along the line of the phase transition related to the onset of the magnetic field penetration in the form of Abrikosov vortices into the subsystem of superconducting grains T c1g (H ext) is anomalous. The concepts on the magnetic flux redistribution between both subsystems of two-level HTSC near in the vicinity of T c1g : the Josephson vortex decreases, and the Abrikosov vortex density increases.  相似文献

The scattering cross section and the Doppler spectrum for electromagnetic waves scattered by the electron density fluctuations of a plasma, where the mean kinetic temperature of the electronsT e may differ from that of the ionsT i , has been obtained among others byFejer, Buneman, Renau, Camnitz andFlood, andSalpeter. These authors use different methods of approach to calculate the autocovariance of the electron number-density fluctuations (from the mean) and then obtain the scattering cross section. Because of the differing results, the methods, concepts, and derivations of the scattering cross section are carefully examined in this paper. It is shown that the short-time dynamical considerations incorporated in the formulation of the statistical theory of the electron number-density fluctuations of the plasma as used by several authors (for instanceFejer, Buneman, Salpeter,) leads to results of limited validity. In addition, a fundamental error in calculating the electron density fluctuations leads these latter authors to an incorrect scattering cross section. The theory of scattering of electromagnetic waves from a plasma, where the electrons arenot in thermal equilibrium with the ions but statistical equilibrium exists, is developed in a general way. The covariance of the number-density fluctuations from the mean of the charged species of the plasma and the scattering cross sectionσ(q) are obtained. In particular it is shown that for a wavelength λ much greater than the effective Debye lengthd, the backscattering cross section increases and approaches complete incoherent scattering asT e /T i increases. This result is explained by noting that in the case of thermal equilibrium, the predicted value of the back-scattering cross section is smaller than that of the backscattering cross section from completely uncorrelated electron density fluctuations because the electrostatic interaction between the charged particles of the plasma, which is a function ofT e andT i , introduces a certain amount of organization in otherwise completely uncorrelated electron density fluctuations. When the mean temperature of the electrons increases relative to that of the ions, the organization introduced in the fluctuations diminishes because of the increasing thermal agitation of the electrons relative to that of the ions, and the backscattering process approaches that of incoherent backscattering (Thomson-type scattering). The spectrum function of incoherent scattering of electromagnetic waves from a nonequilibrium plasma is obtained and some cases of current interest are plotted.  相似文献

The effect of the working gas pressure (P ≈ 1.33–0.09 Pa) and the substrate temperature (Ts ≈ 77–550 K) on the texture and the microstructure of nickel films deposited by magnetron sputtering onto SiO2/Si substrates is studied. Ni(200) films with a transition type of microstructure are shown to form at growth parameters P ≈ 0.13–0.09 Pa and Ts ≈ 300–550 K, which ensure a high migration ability of nickel adatoms on a substrate. This transition type is characterized by a change of the film structure from quasi-homogeneous to quasi-columnar when a film reaches a critical thickness. Ni(111) films with a columnar microstructure and high porosity form at a low migration ability, which takes place at P ≈ 1.33–0.3 Pa or upon cooling a substrate to Ts ≈ 77 K.  相似文献

We deposited amorphous Bi films with a thickness between 3 and 6.5 nm at 4.2 K on top of previously deposited Co clusters having a mean size of ~4.5 nm. The Co cluster layers thickness was between 2.3 and 5 nm. In-situ electrical transport measurements were performed between 2 and 100 K. Measurements on as-prepared samples having a Bi layer thickness of 3.0 nm show hopping (tunneling) conductivity as σ(T) = σ 0 exp[?(T 0/T)1/2] above the superconducting transition temperature T C and re-entrance behavior again with hopping (tunneling) conductivity below T C . Annealing of films having a Bi layer thickness of 5.5 nm results in a decrease of resistivity, with variable-range hopping conduction behavior as σ(T) = σ 0 exp[?(T 0/T)1/3 ]. Quite different are the findings for films having a Bi layer thickness of 6.5 nm: annealing of these films results in a power-law behavior as σ(T) = σ 0 T α with α = 2/3, indicating that these films are close to a quantum critical point separating superconducting and insulating phases. A phase diagram including all experimental observations is proposed.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the specific heat C(T) and thermal conductivity K(T) of MgB2 were measured at low temperatures and in the neighborhood of T c . In addition to the well-known superconducting transition at T c ≈40 K, this compound was found to exhibit anomalous behavior of both the specific heat and thermal conductivity at lower temperatures, T≈10–12 K. Note that the anomalous behavior of C(T) and K(T) is observed in the same temperature region where MgB2 was found to undergo negative thermal expansion. All the observed low-temperature anomalies are assigned to the existence in MgB2 of a second group of carriers and its transition to the superconducting state at Tc2≈10?12 K.  相似文献

It has been shown that the currently used method for calculating the temperature range of δTg in the glass transition equation qτg = δTg as the difference δTg = (T12T13) results in overestimated values, which is explained by the assumption of a constant activation energy of glass transition in deriving the calculation equation (T12 and T13 are the temperatures corresponding to the logarithmic viscosity values of logη = 12 and logη = 13). The methods for the evaluation of δTg using the Williams–Landel–Ferry equation and the model of delocalized atoms are considered, the results of which are in satisfactory agreement with the product qτg (q is the cooling rate of the melt and τg is the structural relaxation time at the glass transition temperature). The calculation of τg for inorganic glasses and amorphous organic polymers is proposed.  相似文献

The dependence of the magnetization relaxation rate S = ?d lnM/dlnt on temperature T is measured in YBa2Cu3O7 ? δ samples with various oxygen concentrations. It is found that the S(T) curve changes qualitatively when oxygen deficit δ exceeds the threshold value δth = 0.37. For δ < δth (T c > 60 K, where T c is the superconducting transition temperature), function S(T) has the well-known peak at T/T c = 0.4. For δ > δth (at T c < 51 K), this peak transforms into a plateau and a new sharp peak appears at T/T c = 0.1. The threshold value δth of the oxygen deficit corresponds to the transition of the sample from the disordered state into the ordered state of oxygen vacancies. We consider the change in the shape of the S(T) curve as a macroscopic manifestation of this transition.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity ρ(T) for ceramic samples of LaMnO3 + δ (δ = 0.100–0.154) are studied in the temperature range T = 15–350 K, in magnetic fields of 0–10 T, and under hydrostatic pressures P of up to 11 kbar. It is shown that, above the ferromagnet-paramagnet transition temperature of LaMnO3 + δ, the dependence ρ(T) of this compound obeys the Shklovskii-Efros variable-range hopping conduction: ρ(T) = ρ0(T)exp[(T 0/T)1/2], where ρ0(T) = AT 9/2 (A is a constant). The density of localized states g(?) near the Fermi level is found to have a Coulomb gap Δ and a rigid gap γ(T). The Coulomb gap Δ assumes values of 0.43, 0.46, and 0.48 eV, and the rigid gap satisfies the relationship γ(T) ≈ γ(T v)(T/T v)1/2, where T v is the temperature of the onset of variable-range hopping conduction and γ(T v) = 0.13, 0.16, and 0.17 eV for δ = 0.100, 0.125, and 0.154, respectively. The carrier localization lengths a = 1.7, 1.4, and 1.2 Å are determined for the same values of δ. The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the variable-range hopping conduction in LaMnO3 + δ with δ = 0.154 is analyzed, and the dependences Δ(P) and γv(P) are obtained.  相似文献
