The paper addresses the Levi problem for a system of n Fueter equations in a domain in quaternionic space . This problem relates to various conditions of convexity and pseudoconvexity of the boundary of the domain. Received: October, 2007, Accepted: February, 2008.  相似文献

Starting with an integral representation for the class of continuously differentiable solutions of the system
where is the complex Clifford algebra constructed over are some suitable Clifford vectors and their corresponding Dirac operators, we define the isotonic Cauchy transform and establish the Sokhotski-Plemelj formulae. Some consequences of this result are also derived.  相似文献

We adapt to degenerate m-Hessian evolution equations the notion of m-approximate solutions introduced by N. Trudinger for m-Hessian elliptic equations, and we present close to necessary and sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence and uniqueness of such solutions for the first initial boundary value problem. We study the null solutions of iterated applications of the spherical (Atiyah-Singer) Dirac operator on locally defined polynomial forms on the unit sphere of ; functions valued in the universal Clifford algebra , here called spherical k-regular functions. We construct the kernel functions, get the integral representation formula and Cauchy integral formula of spherical k-regular functions, and as applications, the weak solutions of higher order inhomogeneous spherical (Atiyah-Singer) Dirac equations . We obtain, in particular, the weak solution of an inhomogeneous spherical Poisson equation Δ s g = f. A new Cauchy-type formula for hypermonogenic functions is derived. Hypermonogenic functions, introduced in [6], are a generalization of holomorphic functions to several dimensions. The power function xm is hypermonogenic. This paper is dedicated to the memory of our friend and colleague Jarolim Bureš  相似文献

In this paper we generalize classical L p estimates to Orlicz spaces for the parabolic polyharmonic equations. Our argument is based on the iteration-covering procedure. Received: 10 September 2007  相似文献

In [3], M. J. Cowen and R. G. Douglas prove that the adjoint of a Hilbert space operator T is in the class if and only if T is unitarily equivalent with the operator M z on a Hilbert space -valued analytic functions, where M z denotes the operator of multiplication by the independent variable. The proof involves holomorphic vector bundles and Grauert’s theorem. In this paper we use a theorem by I. Gohberg and L. Rodman [4] to give a more elementary proof of this fact, which also works for Banach space operators.   相似文献

The first author introduced an integration theory of vector functions with respect to an operator-valued measure in complete bornological locally convex vector spaces. In this paper some important results behind this Dobrakov-type integration technique in non-metrizable spaces are given. Received: December 10, 2007., Accepted: May 6, 2008.  相似文献

We consider a finite dimensional k-algebraA and associate to each tilting module a cone in the Grothendieck groupK 0 of finitely generated A-modules. We prove that the set of cones associated to tilting modules of projective dimension at most one defines a, not necessarily finite, fan Σ(A). IfA is of finite global dimension, the fan Σ(A) is smooth. Moreover, using the cone of a tilting module, we can associate a volume to each tilting module. Using the fan and the volume, we obtain new proofs for several classical results; we obtain certain convergent sums naturally associated to the algebraA and obtain criteria for the completeness of a list of tilting modules. Finally, we consider several examples. Dedicated to O. Riemenschneider on the occasion of his 65th birthday  相似文献

Given a connected open set and a function wLN/p(Ω) if 1 < p < N and wLr (Ω) for some r ∈(1, ∞) if pN, with we prove that the positive principal eigenvalue of the problem
is unique and simple. This improves previous works all of which assumed w in a smaller space than LN/p (Ω) to ensure that Harnack’s inequality holds. Our proof does not rely on Harnack’s inequality, which may fail in our case. Received: 18 March 2005; revised: 7 April 2005  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to give the basic principles of hyperbolic function theory on the Clifford algebra . The structure of the theory is quite similar to the case of Clifford algebras with negative generators, but the proofs are not obvious. The (real) Clifford algebra is generated by unit vectors with positive squares e2i = + 1. The hyperbolic Dirac operator is of the form where Q0f is represented by the composition . If is a solution of Hkf = 0, then f is called k-hypergenic in Ω, where is an open set. We introduce some basic results of hyperbolic function theory and give some representation theorems on . By applying a method introduced by De Bie and Sommen in Clifford superanalysis, the orthogonality relations of the generalized Clifford–Gegenbauer polynomials of wavelet analysis are extended. Moreover, this new approach allows for proving new important properties of these polynomials, such as an annihilation equation, a differential equation and an expression in terms of the Jacobi polynomials on the real line. For a large class of fluids the relation between shear stress and shear velocity is not longer a constant. The viscosity μ is now a function which depends on the position, the time and the shear-velocity. In our paper we will deal with a class of fluids with variable viscosity functions which correspond to fluid flow equations that permit a representation of the solution by the aid of a quaternionic operator calculus.  相似文献

Geometric and summability properties of the integration operator associated to a vector measure m can be translated in terms of structure properties of the space L1(m). In this paper we study the cases of the integration operator being: (i) p-concave on Lp(m), or (ii) positive p-summing on L1(m) (where ). We prove that (i) is equivalent to saying that L1(m) contains continuously the Lp space of a (non-negative scalar) control measure for m. On the other hand, we show that (ii) holds if and only if L1(m) is order isomorphic to the L1 space of a non-negative scalar measure. J.M. We prove that the so-called Smoluchowski-Kramers approximation holds for a class of partial differential equations perturbed by a non-Gaussian noisy term. Namely, we show that the solution of the one-dimensional semi-linear stochastic damped wave equations , u(0) = u0, ut (0) = v0, endowed with Dirichlet boundary conditions, converges as the parameter μ goes to zero to the solution of the semi-linear stochastic heat equation , u(0) = u0, endowed with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Universal Laurent series where the universal approximation is valid on the boundary of the multiple connected open Ω appears for the first time in [2]. We show that it is possible to demand universal approximation only to a part of the boundary while on the remaining part the universal function can be smooth. Received: 29 May 2007  相似文献

Let be open, let be the Dirac operator in and let be the Clifford algebra constructed over the quadratic space . If for fixed, denotes the space of r-vectors in , then an -valued smooth function WW r  + W r+2 in Ω is said to satisfy the Moisil-Théodoresco system if . In terms of differential forms, this means that the corresponding - valued smooth form w = w r  + w r+2 satisfies in Ω the system d * w r = 0, dw r  + d * w r+2 = 0; dw r+2 = 0. Based on techniques and results concerning conjugate harmonic functions in the framework of Clifford analysis, a structure theorem is proved for the solutions of the Moisil-Théodoresco system.   相似文献

The Dirac operator in several operators is an analogue of the - operator in theory of several complex variables. The Hartog’s type phenomena are encoded in a complex of invariant differential operators starting with the Dirac operator, which is an analogue of the Dolbeault complex. In the paper, a construction of the complex is given for the Dirac operator in 4 variables in dimension 6 (i.e. in the non-stable range). A peculiar feature of the complex is that it contains a third order operator. The methods used in the construction are based on the Penrose transform developed by R. Baston and M. Eastwood.
