Uniform Approximation of Entire Functions of Slow Growth on Compact Sets

In the present paper, we study the polynomial approximation of entire functions of several complex variables. The characterizations of generalized order and generalized type of entire functions of slow growth are obtained in terms of approximation and interpolation errors.

Ishikawa iterative process with errors for nonlinear equations of generalized monotone type in Banach spaces

The concept of the operators of generalized monotone type is introduced and iterative approximation methods for a fixed point of such operators by the Ishikawa and Mann iteration schemes {xn} and {yn} with errors is studied. Let X be a real Banach space and T : D ? X → 2^D be a multi‐valued operator of generalized monotone type with fixed points. A new general lemma on the convergence of real sequences is proved and used to show that {xn} converges strongly to a unique fixed point of T in D. This result is applied to the iterative approximation method for solutions of nonlinear equations with generalized strongly accretive operators. Our results generalize many of know results. Generalized quasilinearization method for a second order ordinary differential equation with Dirichlet boundary conditions

We study the existence and approximation of solutions for a nonlinear second order ordinary differential equation with Dirichlet boundary value conditions. We present a generalized quasilinearization technique to obtain a sequence of approximate solutions converging quadratically to a solution.

Approximate solutions for time-fractional two-component evolutionary system of order $2$ using coupled fractional reduced differential transform method

In this paper, Coupled Fractional Reduced Differential Transform method is extended to apply to the generalized time-fractional two-component evolutionary system of order 2. By using this method, the solutions in the form of a generalized Taylor series are obtained. The graphics of numerical solutions together with the error analysis demonstrate that the present method is effective and accurate for obtaining approximate solutions of fractional coupled equations. Moreover, the results also indicate that the solutions obtained by residual power series method in previous literature (M. Alquran, Analytical solution of time-fractional two-component evolutionary system of order 2 by residual power series method, J. Appl. Anal. Comput.,5(2015)(4), 589-599.) contain errors.

Given matrix X and diagonal matrix A , the anti-centrosymmetric solutions (A, B) and its optimal approximation of inverse generalized eigenvalue problem AX = BXA have been considered. The general form of such solutions is given and the expression of the optimal approximation solution to a given matrix is derived. The algorithm and one numerical example for solving optimal approximation solution are included.

Approximations to time-optimal boundary controls for weak generalized solutions of the wave equation

For the wave equation, time-optimal control problems with two-sided boundary controls of three basic types are considered in classes of weak generalized solutions. Stable algorithms for computing approximate optimal times and optimal boundary controls are developed by modifying algorithms proposed earlier for the case of strong generalized solutions. The approximate solutions are proved to converge as the parameters of the finite-dimensional approximation are asymptotically refined and the errors in the specified terminal functions are reduced.

An Adaptive Hybrid Spectral Method for Stochastic Helmholtz Problems

The implementation of an adaptive hybrid spectral method for Helmholtz equations with random parameters is addressed in this work. New error indicators for generalized polynomial chaos for stochastic approximations and spectral element methods for physical approximations are developed, and systematic adaptive strategies are proposed associated with these error indicators. Numerical results show that these error indicators provide effective estimates for the approximation errors, and the overall adaptive procedure results in efficient approximation method for the stochastic Helmholtz equations.

应用泛函分析算子理论的方法研究了Hilbert空间中二阶广义分布参数系统的谱分布问题,利用有界线性算子的广义逆给出了所讨论问题的解及解的构造性表达式。这对研究二阶广义分布参数系统的镇定及渐进稳定性问题都有重要的理论价值。
