Almost π-Lattices

In this paper we establish some conditions for an almost -domain to be a -domain. Next -lattices satisfying the union condition on primes are characterized. Using these results, some new characterizations are given for -rings.     

On Generalizations of Ostrowski Inequality and Some Related Results

Some generalizations of the Ostrowski inequality, the Milovanovi-Peari-Fink inequality, the Dragomir-Agarwal inequality and the Hadamard inequality are given.     

On the Operator Semirings of a Γ-Semiring

In this paper we introduce the notion of operator semirings of a -semiring to study -semirings. It is shown that the lattices of all left (right) ideals (two-sided ideals) of a -semiring and its right (respectively left) operator semiring are isomorphic. Topological existence and stability for stackelberg problems

The aim of this paper is to study, in a topological framework, existence and stability for the solutions to a parametrized Stackelberg problem. To this end, approximate solutions are used, more precisely, -solutions and strict -solutions. The results given are of minimal character and the standard types of constraints are considered, that is, constant constraints, constraints defined by a finite number of inequalities, and more generally constraints defined by an arbitrary multifunction.     

On the Weak-Open Images of Metric Spaces

In this paper, we give characterizations of certain weak-open images of metric spaces.     

Inequality of Petrović and Giaccardi for Convex Function of Higher Order

In this paper we use Lidstone polynomials to prove further generalization of Giaccardi generalization of the well-known Petrovis inequality.     

A Note on π-Engel Conditions

Generalizations of Perfect, Semiperfect, and Semiregular Rings

For a ring R and a right R-module M, a submodule N of M is said to be -small in M if, whenever N + X = M with M/X singular, we have X = M. If there exists an epimorphism p: P M such that P is projective and Ker(p) is -small in P, then we say that P is a projective -cover of M. A ring R is called -perfect (resp., -semiperfect, -semiregular) if every R-module (resp., simple R-module, cyclically presented R-module) has a projective -cover. The class of all -perfect (resp., -semiperfect, -semiregular) rings contains properly the class of all right perfect (resp., semiperfect, semiregular) rings. This paper is devoted to various properties and characterizations of -perfect, -semiperfect, and -semiregular rings. We define (R) by (R)/Soc(R_R) = Jac(R/Soc(R_R)) and show, among others, the following results:

Quantitative Siegel's theorem for Galois coverings

It is known that Siegels theorem on integral points is effective for Galoiscoverings of the projective line. In this paper we obtain a quantitative version of this result, giving an explicit upper bound for the heights of S-integral K-rational points in terms of the number field K, the set of places S and the defining equation of the curve.Our main tools are Bakers theory of linear forms in logarithms and thequantitative Eisenstein theorem due to Schmidt, Dwork and van der Poorten.     

On Some Generalizations and Refinements of a Ky Fan Inequality

In this paper, a Ky Fan inequality and an inequality by Wu and Wang [10] will be generalized. Some new and improved refinements of the Ky Fan inequality will be put forward.AMS Subject Classification (2000) 26D15     

Cardinal Invariants of λ-Topologies

We study the basic cardinal-valued invariants of C (X) such as weight, density, network weight, i-weight, and tightness, where C (X) is the space of all continuous real functions on X in the -topology.     

Variational-Like Inequalities with Generalized Monotone Mappings in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we introduce two classes of variational-like inequalities with generalized monotone mappings in Banach spaces. Using the KKM technique, we obtain the existence of solutions for variational-like inequalities with relaxed – monotone mappings in reflexive Banach spaces. We present also the solvability of variational-like inequalities with relaxed – semimonotone mappings in arbitrary Banach spaces by means of the Kakutani-Fan-Glicksberg fixed-point theorem. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of Refs. 1–6.     

Metric σ-Frames versus Metric Lindelof Spaces

The adjoint relation between the category RegFrm, of regular -frames, Alex, of Alexandroff spaces, are studied in [9]. Here, we introduce the category MFrm, of metric -frames and give the adjoint relation between this category and the category MLSp, of metric Lindelof spaces, and show that MLSp is dually equivalent to the category of Alexandroff metric -frames.AMS Subject Classification: 06D99-54B30     

On θ-Principal Extension and H-Closedness

A type of extensions called the -extention of topological spaces and their -equivalence and -trace systems are introduced, which ultimately characterize H-closed -extensions of a Hausdorff topological space. Also, the notion of -principal extensions is defined. A typical -principal extension consisting of certain grills on a Hausdorff space is constructed, and finally, some characterizations of H-closedness of a Hausdorff space are obtained.AMS Subject Classification (2000) 54D30 54D99     

On the Completeness and Decidability of the Horn‐Like Fragment of the First‐Order Linear Temporal Logic

We prove the completeness and decidability of the Hornlike sequents, specifically, the socalled D₂sequents (of the firstorder linear temporal logic) considered in the author's paper [Lith. Math. J., 41(3), 266–281 (2001)]. In this paper, with the help of the infinitary calculus G_L, grounded by the author in his earlier papers, for D₂sequents we construct a D₂Sat calculus of the socalled saturated type consisting of decidable deductive procedures replacing the omegarule for the always operator. In the present paper, in order to prove the completeness and decidability of the calculus D₂Sat, we construct the socalled invariant decidable calculus D₂IN. We prove the equivalence of the calculi D₂IN, D₂Sat, and G _L ^** for the socalled saturated D₂sequents. From this equivalence, by reducing an arbitrary D₂sequent to a saturated D₂sequent, and also from the completeness of the G _L ^** calculus and decidability of the invariant calculus D₂IN, we deduce the completeness and decidability of the calculus D₂Sat in the class of D₂sequents.     

More on the Laterally σ-Complete Reflection of an Archimedean Lattice-Ordered Group

The laterally -complete reflection is given a new, one-step construction, which, in some notable cases affords an explicit realization. For example, if X is a compact Hausdorff topological space, the laterally -complete reflection of C(X) consists of all real-valued functions on X which are countably Baire-piecewise continuous. This realization of the reflection also shows, easily, that it carries rings to rings and, for objects with a designated unit, that the singularity of the unit is preserved.     

Hulls for Various Kinds of α-Completeness in Archimedean Lattice-Ordered Groups

Within Archimedean -groups, and with an infinite cardinal or , we consider X-hulls where X stands for any of the following classes of -groups: -projectable; laterally -complete; boundedly laterally -complete; conditionally -complete; combinations of the preceding, together with divisibility and/or relative uniform completeness. All these hulls exist, and may be obtained by iterated adjunction of the required extra elements, within the essential hull. When the -groups is relatively -complemented one step in the iteration suffices for several crucial properties. We derive from the above a considerable number of equations involving combinations of these hull operators.     

Study of Noetherian Γ-Semirings via Operator Semirings

In this paper we study Noetherian -semirings and obtain Cohens theorem for a special class of -semirings. Weak primary decomposition theorem for a particular type of -semirings is also obtained.Presently Lecturer in Mathematics, University of Burdwan, GOLAPBAG, W.B. INDIA.     

Remarks on the angle property and solid cones

This paper is devoted to the investigation of the relations between cones satisfying the angle property and solid cones. The investigation shows that the two classes of cones are dual in some sense. As an application of our results, we improve some related results due to Cesari, Suryanarayna, Sterna-Karwat, and Yu.This research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
