In this paper we prove the boundedness for energy of weak solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible self-gravitating fluids in time in bounded domains with arbitrary forces and the adiabatic constant γ∈(3/2,5/3]. Thus the results on the existence of complete bounded trajectories and attractors for compressible self-gravitating fluids can be generalized up to γ>3/2.  相似文献

The Navier-Stokes equations of a compressible barotropic fluid in 1D with zero velocity boundary conditions are considered. We study the case of large initial data in H 1 as well as the mass force such that the stationary density is positive. The uniform lower bound for the density is proved. By constructing suitable Lyapunov functionals, decay rate estimates in L 2-norm and H 1-norm are given. The decay rate is exponential if so the decay rate of the nonstationary part of the mass force is. The results are proved in the Eulerian coordinates for a wide class of increasing state functions including with any γ > 0 as well as functions of arbitrarily fast growth. We also extend the results for equations of a multicomponent compressible barotropic mixture (in the absence of chemical reactions). Received December 20, 2000; accepted February 27, 2001.  相似文献

We consider the compressible Navier-Stokes-Korteweg system that models the motions of the compressible isothermal viscous capillary fluids. We prove the optimal L2 and Lp, p?2 decay rates for the classical solutions and their spatial derivatives. In particular, the optimal L2 decay rate of the second-order spatial derivatives is obtained. The proof is based on the detailed study of the linear decay estimates and nonlinear energy estimates.  相似文献

The blowup phenomena of solutions is investigated for the Euler equations of compressible fluid flow. The approach is to construct special explicit solutions with spherical symmetry to study certain blowup behavior of multi-dimensional solutions. In particular, the special solutions with velocity of the form c(t)x are constructed to show the expanding and blowup properties. The solution with velocity of the form for γ?1 and for any space dimensions is obtained as a corollary. Another conclusion is that there is only trivial solution with velocity of the form c(t)|x|α-1x for α≠1 and multi-space dimensions.  相似文献

In this paper we consider some equations similar to Navier-Stokes equations, the three-dimensional Leray-alpha equations with space periodic boundary conditions. We establish the regularity of the equations by using the classical Faedo-Galerkin method. Our argument shows that there exist an unique weak solution and an unique strong solution for all the time for the Leray-alpha equations, furthermore, the strong solutions are analytic in time with values in the Gevrey class of functions (for the space variable). The relations between the Leray-alpha equations and the Navier-Stokes equations are also considered.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the evolutions of the interfaces between the gas and the vacuum for viscous one-dimensional isentropic gas motions. We prove the global existence and uniqueness for discontinuous solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible flow with density-dependent viscosity coefficient. Precisely, the viscosity coefficient μ is proportional to ρθ with 0<θ<1. Specifically, we require that the initial density be piecewise smooth with arbitrarily large jump discontinuities, bounded above and below away from zero, in the interior of gas. We show that the discontinuities in the density persist for all time, and give a decay result for the density as t→+∞.  相似文献

In this paper we study the asymptotic limiting behavior of the solutions to the initial boundary value problem for linearized one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations. We consider the characteristic boundary conditions, that is we assume that an eigenvalue of the associated inviscid Euler system vanishes uniformly on the boundary. The aim of this paper is to understand the evolution of the boundary layer, to construct the asymptotic ansatz which is uniformly valid up to the boundary, and to obtain rigorously the uniform convergence to the solution of the Euler equations without the weakness assumption on the boundary layer.  相似文献

In this paper we derive some new equations and we call them MHD-Leray-alpha equations which are similar to the MHD equations. We put forward the concept of weak and strong solutions for the new equations. Whether the 3-dimensional MHD equations have a unique weak solution is unknown, however, there is a unique weak solution for the 3-dimensional MHD-Leray-alpha equations. The global existence of strong solution and the Gevrey class regularity for the new equations are also obtained. Furthermore, we prove that the solutions of the MHD-Leray-alpha equations converge to the solution of the MHD equations in the weak sense as the parameter ε in the new equations converges to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the inviscid limit problem for the Navier-Stokes equations of one-dimensional compressible viscous gas on half plane. We prove that if the solution of the inviscid Euler system on half plane is piecewise smooth with a single shock satisfying the entropy condition, then there exist solutions to Navier-Stokes equations which converge to the inviscid solution away from the shock discontinuity and the boundary at an optimal rate of ε1 as the viscosity ε tends to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that the Cauchy problem of the Navier-Stokes equations with damping α|u|β−1u(α>0) has global weak solutions for any β?1, global strong solution for any β?7/2 and that the strong solution is unique for any 7/2?β?5.  相似文献

Using the solution formula in Ukai (1987) [27] for the Stokes equations, we find asymptotic profiles of solutions in (n?2) for the Stokes flow and non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations. Since the projection operator is unbounded, we use a decomposition for P(u⋅∇u) to overcome the difficulty, and prove that the decay rate for the first derivatives of the strong solution u of the Navier-Stokes system in is controlled by for any t>0.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the large-time behavior of solutions to an outflow problem for compressible Navier-Stokes equations. In 2003, Kawashima, Nishibata and Zhu [S. Kawashima, S. Nishibata, P. Zhu, Asymptotic stability of the stationary solution to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations in the half space, Comm. Math. Phys. 240 (2003) 483-500] showed there exists a boundary layer (i.e., stationary solution) to the outflow problem and the boundary layer is nonlinearly stable under small initial perturbation. In the present paper, we show that not only the boundary layer above but also the superposition of a boundary layer and a rarefaction wave are stable under large initial perturbation. The proofs are given by an elementary energy method.  相似文献

We prove the uniqueness of Riemann solutions in the class of entropy solutions in for the system of compressible Euler equations, under usual assumptions on the equation of state for the pressure which imply strict hyperbolicity of the system and genuine nonlinearity of the first and third characteristic families. In particular, if the Riemann solutions consist of at most rarefaction waves and contact discontinuities, we show the global -stability of the Riemann solutions even in the class of entropy solutions in with arbitrarily large oscillation for the system. We apply our framework established earlier to show that the uniqueness of Riemann solutions implies their inviscid asymptotic stability under perturbation of the Riemann initial data, as long as the corresponding solutions are in and have local bounded total variation satisfying a natural condition on its growth with time. No specific reference to any particular method for constructing the entropy solutions is made. Our uniqueness result for Riemann solutions can easily be extended to entropy solutions , piecewise Lipschitz in , for any 0$">.

We introduce a notion of an asymptotically compact (AC) random dynamical system (RDS). We prove that for an AC RDS the -limit set of any bounded set is nonempty, compact, strictly invariant and attracts the set . We establish that the D Navier Stokes Equations (NSEs) in a domain satisfying the Poincaré inequality perturbed by an additive irregular noise generate an AC RDS in the energy space . As a consequence we deduce existence of an invariant measure for such NSEs. Our study generalizes on the one hand the earlier results by Flandoli-Crauel (1994) and Schmalfuss (1992) obtained in the case of bounded domains and regular noise, and on the other hand the results by Rosa (1998) for the deterministic NSEs.

This paper is concerned with the existence of maximal attractors in Hi (i = 1, 2,4) for the compressible Navier-Stokes equations for a polytropic viscous heat conductive ideal gas in bounded annular domains Ωn in Rn(n = 2,3).  相似文献
