Given a contractive tuple of Hilbert space operators satisfying certainA-relations we show that there exists a unique minimal dilation to generators of Cuntz-Krieger algebras or its extension by compact operators. This Cuntz-Krieger dilation can be obtained from the classical minimal isometric dilation as a certain maximalA-relation piece. We define a maximal piece more generally for a finite set of polynomials inn noncommuting variables. We classify all representations of Cuntz-Krieger algebrasO A obtained from dilations of commuting tuples satisfyingA-relations. The universal properties of the minimal Cuntz-Krieger dilation and the WOT-closed algebra generated by it is studied in terms of invariant subspaces.  相似文献

Let f be an expansive Markov interval map with finite transition matrix Af. Then for every point, we yield an irreducible representation of the Cuntz-Krieger algebra OAf and show that two such representations are unitarily equivalent if and only if the points belong to the same generalized orbit. The restriction of each representation to the gauge part of OAf is decomposed into irreducible representations, according to the decomposition of the orbit.  相似文献

Markov interval maps f naturally produce transition aperiodic 0-1 matrices with extra features. We characterize the 0-1 matrices that can be realized as Markov transition matrices of interval maps, and parametrize the orbit representations (yielded in Correia Ramos et al. (2008) [2]) of the Cuntz-Krieger algebra OA obtained from interval maps with the same matrix A.  相似文献

We continue the study of an operator algebra associated with a self-mapping ? on a countable setX which can be represented as a directed graph. This C*-algebra belongs to a class of operator algebras, generated by a family of partial isometries satisfying some relations on their source and range projections. Earlier we have formulated the irreducibility criterion of such algebras, which give us a possibility to examine the structure of the corresponding Hilbert space. We will show that for reducible algebras the underlying Hilbert space can be represented either as an infinite sum of invariant subspaces or as a tensor product of a finite-dimensional Hilbert space with l2(Z). In the first case we present a conditions under which the studied algebra has an irreducible representation into a C*-algebra generated by a weighted shift operator. In the second case, the algebra has the irreducible finite-dimensional representations indexed by the unit circle.  相似文献

Certain operator algebras A on a Hilbert space have the property that every densely defined linear transformation commuting with A is closable. Such algebras are said to have the closability property. They are important in the study of the transitive algebra problem. More precisely, if A is a two-transitive algebra with the closability property, then A is dense in the algebra of all bounded operators, in the weak operator topology. In this paper we focus on algebras generated by a completely nonunitary contraction, and produce several new classes of algebras with the closability property. We show that this property follows from a certain strict cyclicity property, and we give very detailed information on the class of completely nonunitary contractions satisfying this property, as well as a stronger property which we call confluence.  相似文献

Graham and Lehrer have defined cellular algebras and developed a theory that allows in particular to classify simple representations of finite dimensional cellular algebras. Many classes of finite dimensional algebras, including various Hecke algebras and diagram algebras, have been shown to be cellular, and the theory due to Graham and Lehrer successfully has been applied to these algebras. We will extend the framework of cellular algebras to algebras that need not be finite dimensional over a field. Affine Hecke algebras of type A and infinite dimensional diagram algebras like the affine Temperley–Lieb algebras are shown to be examples of our definition. The isomorphism classes of simple representations of affine cellular algebras are shown to be parameterised by the complement of finitely many subvarieties in a finite disjoint union of affine varieties. In this way, representation theory of non-commutative algebras is linked with commutative algebra. Moreover, conditions on the cell chain are identified that force the algebra to have finite global cohomological dimension and its derived category to admit a stratification; these conditions are shown to be satisfied for the affine Hecke algebra of type A if the quantum parameter is not a root of the Poincaré polynomial.  相似文献

Extending M. Daws’ definition of ultra-amenable Banach algebras, we introduce the notion of operator ultra-amenability for completely contractive Banach algebras. For a locally compact group G, we show that the operator ultra-amenability of A(G) imposes severe restrictions on G. In particular, it forces G to be a discrete, amenable group with no infinite abelian subgroups. For various classes of such groups, this means that G is finite.  相似文献

We propose a new localization result for the leading eigenvalue and eigenvector of a symmetric matrix A. The result exploits the Frobenius inner product between A and a given rank-one landmark matrix X. Different choices for X may be used, depending on the problem under investigation. In particular, we show that the choice where X is the all-ones matrix allows to estimate the signature of the leading eigenvector of A, generalizing previous results on Perron-Frobenius properties of matrices with some negative entries. As another application we consider the problem of community detection in graphs and networks. The problem is solved by means of modularity-based spectral techniques, following the ideas pioneered by Miroslav Fiedler in mid-’70s.  相似文献

We study certain commutative regular semisimple Banach algebras which we call hyper-Tauberian algebras. We first show that they form a subclass of weakly amenable Tauberian algebras. Then we investigate the basic and hereditary properties of them. Moreover, we show that if A is a hyper-Tauberian algebra, then the linear space of bounded derivations from A into any Banach A-bimodule is reflexive. We apply these results to the Figà-Talamanca-Herz algebra Ap(G) of a locally compact group G for p∈(1,∞). We show that Ap(G) is hyper-Tauberian if the principal component of G is abelian. Finally, by considering the quantization of these results, we show that for any locally compact group G, Ap(G), equipped with an appropriate operator space structure, is a quantized hyper-Tauberian algebra. This, in particular, implies that Ap(G) is operator weakly amenable.  相似文献

We determine the types of factors arising from GNS-representations of quasi-free KMS states on Cuntz-Krieger algebras. Applying our result to the Cuntz-Krieger algebras arising from the boundary actions of some amalgamated free product groups, we also determine the types of harmonic measures on the boundaries.

In this paper we discuss the “Factorization phenomenon” which occurs when a representation of a Lie algebra is restricted to a subalgebra, and the result factors into a tensor product of smaller representations of the subalgebra. We analyze this phenomenon for symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras (including finite-dimensional, semi-simple Lie algebras). We present a few factorization results for a general embedding of a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra into another and provide an algebraic explanation for such a phenomenon using Spin construction. We also give some application of these results for semi-simple, finite-dimensional Lie algebras. We extend the notion of Spin functor from finite-dimensional to symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras, which requires a very delicate treatment. We introduce a certain category of orthogonal g-representations for which, surprisingly, the Spin functor gives a g-representation in Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand category O. Also, for an integrable representation, Spin produces an integrable representation. We give the formula for the character of Spin representation for the above category and work out the factorization results for an embedding of a finite-dimensional, semi-simple Lie algebra into its untwisted affine Lie algebra. Finally, we discuss the classification of those representations for which Spin is irreducible.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to dual operator algebras, that isw *-closed algebras of bounded operators on Hilbert space. We investigate unital dual operator algebrasA with the following weak* similarity property: for every Hilbert spaceH, anyw *-continuous unital homomorphism fromA intoB(H) is completely bounded and thus similar to a contractive one. We develop a notion of dual similarity degree for these algebras, in analogy with some recent work of Pisier on the similarity problem on operator algebras.  相似文献

We show that the C* -algebra of the regular representation of a discrete group G onto a subset Σ of G is the reduced C* -algebra of an r-discrete groupoid whose space of units is totally disconnected and contains Σ as a dense subset. The C*-algebra of quasicrystals, some Cuntz-Krieger and crossed product algebras, and Wiener-Hopf algebras are particular cases of this construction  相似文献

In this paper we characterize operator order A?B?O and chaotic operator order log A?logB for positive and invertible operators A and B in terms of operator inequalities via the Furuta inequality and operator equalities due to the Douglas’s majorization and factorization. Related results are obtained, which include generalizations and characterizations of some well-known results.  相似文献

We study relations between (H,β)-KMS states on Cuntz-Krieger algebras and the dual of the Perron-Frobenius operator . Generalising the well-studied purely hyperbolic situation, we obtain under mild conditions that for an expansive dynamical system there is a one-one correspondence between (H,β)-KMS states and eigenmeasures of for the eigenvalue 1. We then apply these general results to study multifractal decompositions of limit sets of essentially free Kleinian groups G which may have parabolic elements. We show that for the Cuntz-Krieger algebra arising from G there exists an analytic family of KMS states induced by the Lyapunov spectrum of the analogue of the Bowen-Series map associated with G. Furthermore, we obtain a formula for the Hausdorff dimensions of the restrictions of these KMS states to the set of continuous functions on the limit set of G. If G has no parabolic elements, then this formula can be interpreted as the singularity spectrum of the measure of maximal entropy associated with G. We show that the Cuntz-Krieger algebras of infinite graphs and infinite -matrices can be approximated by those of finite graphs. We then use these approximations to deduce the main uniqueness theorems for Cuntz-Krieger algebras and to compute their -theory. Since the finite approximating graphs have sinks, we have to calculate the -theory of Cuntz-Krieger algebras of graphs with sinks, and the direct methods we use to do this should be of independent interest.

This paper presents the matrix representation for extension of inverse of restriction of a linear operator to a subspace, on the basis of which we establish useful representations in operator and matrix form for the generalized inverse AT,S(2)A_{T,S}^{(2)} and give some of their applications.  相似文献

“Locally invertible” algebras, those algebras which have a basis consisting solely of strongly regular elements, are introduced as a generalization of “invertible algebras,” that is, algebras which have a basis consisting solely of units. While this new family properly contains the family of (necessarily unital) invertible algebras, its definition does not assume the existence of a multiplicative identity. Because of this, we consider both unital and non-unital examples of locally invertible algebras. In particular, we show that under a mild condition on the basis of a not necessarily unital R-algebra A, the R-algebras Mn(A) of finite matrix rings over the R-algebra A. Furthermore, many infinite matrix algebras are also locally invertible, but not all. Also it is shown that all semiperfect D-algebras over a division ring D are locally invertible.  相似文献

Let A be a standard operator algebra on a complex Hilbert space H of dimension greater than 2. By invariants of certain functional values of operator products, we characterize some surjective maps on A. Furthermore, several kinds of general preserver problems on standard operator algebras are solved when we take respectively the functional as, for example, k-numerical radius (k?1), operator norm, Ky Fan k-norm, Schatten p-norm (1?p<), and so on.  相似文献
