We consider a quasilinear parabolic boundary value problem of the third kind on an interval. The coefficients of the partial differential equation and the right-hand sides in the boundary conditions and the evolution equation for the state vector nonlinearly depend on time, the point, the state vector, and the values of the solution at the endpoints. This problem generalizes a number of models of formation and decomposition of metal hydrides. For the simplest finite-difference scheme, we prove the uniform convergence to a continuous generalized solution of the boundary value problem. A sample model is given.  相似文献

We derive relations between the notions of symmetry, covering, and decomposition of systems and trajectory generation. We show that any decomposition of a system determines a finite-dimensional covering of that system and is determined by it. We present conditions on vector fields under which any covering is obtained by factorization along the Lie algebra of such fields. On the basis of these relations, we study whether a point-to-point steering problem can be transformed into a set of boundary value problems of lower dimension.  相似文献

We study the Pontryagin maximum principle for an optimal control problem with state constraints. We analyze the continuity of a vector function µ (which is one of the Lagrange multipliers corresponding to an extremal by virtue of the maximum principle) at the points where the extremal trajectory meets the boundary of the set given by the state constraints. We obtain sufficient conditions for the continuity of µ in terms of the smoothness of the extremal trajectory.  相似文献

We consider a linear periodic control system with a two-sided dependence of blocks of complete column rank in the nonstationary component of the coefficient matrix in the critical case. In this case, the nontrivial intersection of vector subspaces formed by linear spans of the columns in the blocks can be arbitrary. We assume that the control is given in the form of feedback linear in the state variables and is periodic with the period of the system. We derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the control problem for the asynchronous spectrum, that is, the problem of finding a feedback coefficient such that the closed system has a strongly irregular periodic solution with the desired frequencies.  相似文献

Under study are some problems of elasticity theory with nonclassical boundary value conditions. We assume that the load and displacement vectors are given on a part of the boundary, while on the other parts of the boundary, the load vector or the displacement vector may be given separately, and no conditions are imposed on the remaining part of the surface (of some nonzero measure). We consider the questions of uniqueness for the solutions to these problems. Solving the nonclassical problems is reduced to a system of singular integral equations for a holomorphic vector.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose the concept of partial approximate boundary synchronization for a coupled system of wave equations with Dirichlet boundary controls, and make a deep discussion on it. We analyze the relation-ship between the partial approximate boundary synchronization and the partial exact boundary synchronization, and obtain sufficient conditions to realize the partial approximate boundary synchronization and necessary conditions of Kalman's criterion. In addition, with the help of partial synchronization decomposition, a condition that the approximately synchronizable state does not depend on the sequence of boundary controls is also given.  相似文献

We consider the problem of deciding whether a common solution to a multivariate polynomial equation system is isolated or not. We present conditions on a given truncated Puiseux series vector centered at the point ensuring that it is not isolated. In addition, in the case that the set of all common solutions of the system has dimension 1, we obtain further conditions specifying to what extent the given vector of truncated Puiseux series coincides with the initial part of a parametrization of a curve of solutions passing through the point.  相似文献

In this paper boundary controllability of one-dimensional vibrating system such as the vibrating string or the vibrating beam is studied. In particular we are concerned with the question whether it is possible to transfer a given initial state of vibration into rest within a given time such that the system stays in rest when the control is turned off. This problem is rephrased as a typical trigonometric moment problem which is solved within the framework of an abstract moment problem in a Hilbert space. The results of null-controllability which are obtained are substantially based on classical results of Ingham and Redheffer concerning trigonometric inequalities and incompleteness of certain sequences of trigonometric functions, respectively. The representation of the general statements follows closely the lines of a paper of Russell. Besides a special case is treated where explicit representations of boundary controls can be given that transfer the system to a permanent rest position. This special case includes amplitude boundary control of the vibrating string and the freely supported beam.  相似文献

This paper considers a stochastic control problem in which the dynamic system is a controlled backward stochastic heat equation with Neumann boundary control and boundary noise and the state must coincide with a given random vector at terminal time. Through defining a proper form of the mild solution for the state equation, the existence and uniqueness of the mild solution is given. As a main result, a global maximum principle for our control problem is presented. The main result is also applied to a backward linear-quadratic control problem in which an optimal control is obtained explicitly as a feedback of the solution to a forward–backward stochastic partial differential equation.  相似文献

We consider a three-dimensional boundary value problem for the Laplace equation on a thin plane screen with boundary conditions for the “directional derivative”: boundary conditions for the derivative of the unknown function in the directions of vector fields defined on the screen surface are posed on each side of the screen. We study the case in which the direction of these vector fields is close to the direction of the normal to the screen surface. This problem can be reduced to a system of two boundary integral equations with singular and hypersingular integrals treated in the sense of the Hadamard finite value. The resulting integral equations are characterized by the presence of integral-free terms that contain the surface gradient of one of the unknown functions. We prove the unique solvability of this system of integral equations and the existence of a solution of the considered boundary value problem and its uniqueness under certain assumptions.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the problem of approximating reachable sets for a nonlinear control system with state constraints given as a solution set of a finite system of nonlinear inequalities. Each of these inequalities is given as a level set of a smooth function, but their intersection may have nonsmooth boundary. We study a procedure of eliminating the state constraints based on the introduction of an auxiliary system without constraints such that the right-hand sides of its equations depend on a small parameter. For state constraints with smooth boundary, it was shown earlier that the reachable set of the original system can be approximated in the Hausdorff metric by the reachable sets of the auxiliary control system as the small parameter tends to zero. In the present paper, these results are extended to the considered class of systems with piecewise smooth boundary of the state constraints.  相似文献

We consider a vector problem of diffraction of an electromagnetic wave on a partially screened anisotropic inhomogeneous dielectric body. The boundary conditions and the matching conditions are posed on the boundary of the inhomogeneity domain, and under passage through it, the medium parameters have jump changes. A boundary value problem for the system of Maxwell equations in unbounded space is studied in a semiclassical statement and is reduced to a system of integro-differential equations on the body domain and the screen surfaces. We show that the quadratic form of the problem operator is coercive and the operator itself is Fredholm with zero index.  相似文献

A boundary value problem for the Helmholtz equation outside an open arc in a plane is studied with mixed boundary conditions. In doing so, the Dirichlet condition is specified on one side of the open arc and the boundary condition of the third kind is specified on the other side of the open arc. We consider non-propagative Helmholtz equation, real-valued solutions of which satisfy maximum principle. By using the potential theory the boundary value problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations with additional conditions. By regularization and subsequent transformations, this system is reduced to a vector Fredholm equation of the second kind and index zero. It is proved that the obtained vector Fredholm equation is uniquely solvable. Therefore the integral representation for a solution of the original boundary value problem is obtained. We consider the numerical approximations of the complex amplitude in a coupled bayriver system in this work. One half-circumference is introduced as the artificial boundary in the open sea, and one segment is introduced as the artificial boundary in the river if the river is semi-infinite. On the artificial boundary a sequence of high-order artificial boundary conditions are proposed. Then the original problem is solved in a finite computational domain, which is equivalent to a variational problem. The numerical approximations for the original problem are obtained by solving the variational probiem with the finite element method. The numerical examples show that the artificial boundary conditions given in this work are very effective.  相似文献

A free boundary problem is considered of the equilibrium of an elastic plate with a crack. We suppose that some boundary mutual nonpenetration conditions are given on the crack faces in the form of simultaneous equalities and inequalities. We suggest a new approach to posing the problem in a smooth domain although it was stated in a domain with cuts originally. We treat the constraints on the components of the displacement vector and stress tensor on the crack faces as interior constraints, i.e., constraints given on subsets of the smooth domain of a solution.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics and methods of computation for some nonlinear finite difference systems that are the discretized equations of a time-dependent and a steady-state reaction–diffusion problem. The formulation of the discrete equations for the time-dependent problem is based on the implicit method for parabolic equations, and the computational algorithm is based on the method of monotone iterations using upper and lower solutions as the initial iterations. The monotone iterative method yields improved upper and lower bounds of the solution in each iteration, and the sequence of iterations converges monotonically to a solution for both the time-dependent and the steady-state problems. An important consequence of this method is that it leads to a bifurcation point that determines the dynamic behavior of the time-dependent problem in relation to the corresponding steady-state problem. This bifurcation point also determines whether the steady-state problem has one or two non-negative solutions, and is explicitly given in terms of the physical parameters of the system and the type of boundary conditions. Numerical results are presented for both the time-dependent and the steady-state problems under various boundary conditions, including a test problem with known analytical solution. These numerical results exhibit the predicted dynamic behavior of the time-dependent solution given by the theoretical analysis. Also discussed are the numerical stability of the computational algorithm and the convergence of the finite difference solution to the corresponding continuous solution of the reaction–diffusion problem. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

We consider parameter-dependent linear time-invariant discrete-time single input systems, where the system matrix and the input vector are assumed to depend continuously on a parameter varying over a compact interval. We face the problem of steering the zero state simultaneously arbitrarily close towards a given continuous family of desired terminal states with a finite parameter independent open-loop input sequence. Starting from existing sufficient conditions, which include simplicity of the eigenvalues of the system matrices, we examine the case of multiple eigenvalues. (© 2014 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. In this paper, sliding and transversal motions on the boundary in the periodically driven, discontinuous dynamical system is investigated. The simple inclined straight line boundary in phase space is considered as a control law for such a dynamical system to switch. The normal vector field for a flow switching on the separation boundary is adopted to develop the analytical conditions, and the corresponding transversality conditions of a flow to the boundary are obtained. The conditions of sliding and grazing flows to the separation boundary are presented as well. Using mapping structures, periodic motions of such a discontinuous system are predicted, and the corresponding local stability and bifurcation analysis of the periodic motion are carried out. Numerical illustrations of periodic motions with and without sliding on the boundary are given. The local stability analysis cannot provide the proper prediction of the sliding and grazing motions in discontinuous dynamical systems. Therefore, the normal vector fields of periodic flows are presented, and the normal vector fields on the switching boundary points give the analytical criteria for sliding and transversality of motions.  相似文献

We solve state observation problems for string vibrations, i.e., problems in which the initial conditions generating the observed string vibrations should be reconstructed from a given string state at two distinct time instants. The observed vibrations are described by the boundary value problem for the wave equation with homogeneous boundary conditions of the first kind. The observation problem is considered for classical and L 2-generalized solutions of this boundary value problem.  相似文献

We consider a nonlinear spectral problem for a self-adjoint Hamiltonian system of differential equations. The boundary conditions correspond to a self-adjoint problem. It is assumed that the input data (the matrix of the system and the matrices of the boundary conditions) satisfy certain conditions of monotonicity with respect to the spectral parameter. In addition to the main boundary conditions, a redundant nonlocal condition given by a Stieltjes integral is imposed on the solution. For the nontrivial solvability of the over-determined problem thus obtained, the original problem is replaced by an auxiliary problem that is consistent with the entire set of conditions. This auxiliary problem is obtained from the original one by allowing a discrepancy of a specific form. We study the resulting problem and give a numerical method for its solution.  相似文献
