The solvability of the boundary value and extremum problems for the convection–diffusion–reaction equation in which the reaction coefficient depends nonlinearly on the concentration of substances is proven. The role of the control in the extremum problem is played by the boundary function in the Dirichlet condition. For a particular reaction coefficient in the extremum problem, the optimality system and estimates of the local stability of its solution to small perturbations of the quality functional and one of specified functions is established.  相似文献

The present work is devoted to the stability and attractivity analysis of a nonlocal delayed reaction–diffusion equation (DRDE) with a non-monotone bistable nonlinearity that describes the population dynamics for a two-stage species with Allee effect. By the idea of relating the dynamics of the nonlinear term to the DRDE and some stability results for the monostable case, we describe some basin of attractions for the DRDE. Additionally, existence of heteroclinic orbits and periodic oscillations are also obtained. Numerical simulations are also given at last to verify our theoretical results.  相似文献

In this work we study single balance law ut+∇⋅Φ(u)=f(u)ut+Φ(u)=f(u) with bounded initial value, and find that there may exist maximal and minimal solutions, if f(u)f(u) is not Lipschitz continuous at u=0u=0. We also show that comparison principle is valid for such solutions, and the solutions may blow up or not under certain conditions. It is determined by the strength of source supply, as well as the competition between the source and flux.  相似文献

We find the Lie point symmetries of a class of second-order nonlinear diffusion–convection–reaction equations containing an unspecified coefficient function of the independent variable t and determine the subclasses of these equations which are nonlinearly self-adjoint. By using a general theorem on conservation laws proved recently by N.H. Ibragimov we establish conservation laws corresponding to the aforementioned Lie point symmetries, one by one, for the simultaneous system of the original equation together with its adjoint equation through a formal Lagrangian. Particularly, for the nonlinearly self-adjoint subclasses, we construct conservation laws for the corresponding equations themselves.  相似文献

The method of El-Gendi [El-Gendi SE. Chebyshev solution of differential integral and integro-differential equations. J Comput 1969;12:282–7; Mihaila B, Mihaila I. Numerical approximation using Chebyshev polynomial expansions: El-gendi’s method revisited. J Phys A Math Gen 2002;35:731–46] is presented with interface points to deal with linear and non-linear convection–diffusion equations. The linear problem is reduced to two systems of ordinary differential equations. And, then, each system is solved using three-level time scheme. The non-linear problem is reduced to three systems of ordinary differential. Each one of these systems is, then, solved using three-level time scheme. Numerical results for Burgers’ equation and modified Burgers’ equation are shown and compared with other methods. The numerical results are found to be in good agreement with the exact solutions.  相似文献

We study the blow-up behavior for positive solutions of a reaction–diffusion equation with nonnegative variable coefficient. When there is no stationary solution, we show that the solution blows up in finite time. Under certain conditions, we then show that any point with zero source cannot be a blow-up point.  相似文献

An iterative product-type triangular skew-symmetric method (PTSM) is used to solve systems of linear algebraic equations (SLAEs) obtained by approximation with a central-difference scheme of a first-type boundary value problem for convection–diffusion–reaction and standard grid ordering. Sufficient conditions for non-negative definiteness of the SLAE matrix resulting from this approximation are obtained for the indefinite reaction coefficient. This property provides convergence of a wide class of iterative methods (in particular, the PTSM). In test problems, agreement of the theory with computational experiments is shown, and a comparison of the PTSM and SSOR is done.  相似文献

The Dirichlet problem for a singulary perturbed convection–diffusion equation in a rectangle when a discontinuity at the flow exit the first derivative of the boundary condition gives rise to an inner layer for the solution. On piecewise-uniform Shishkin grids that condense near regular and characteristic layers, the solution obtained using the classical five-point difference scheme with a directed difference is shown to converge with respect to the small parameter to solve the original problem in the grid norm L h almost with the first order. This theoretical result is confirmed via numerical analysis.  相似文献

We deal with the numerical solution of a scalar nonstationary nonlinear convection–diffusion equation. We employ a combination of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the space semi-discretization and the k-step backward difference formula for the time discretization. The diffusive and stabilization terms are treated implicitly whereas the nonlinear convective term is treated by a higher order explicit extrapolation method, which leads to the necessity to solve only a linear algebraic problem at each time step. We analyse this scheme and derive a priori asymptotic error estimates in the discrete L (L 2)-norm and the L 2(H 1)-seminorm with respect to the mesh size h and time step τ for k = 2,3. Numerical examples verifying the theoretical results are presented. We consider the sliding mode control (SMC) problem for a diffuse interface tumor growth model coupling a Cahn–Hilliard equation with a reaction–diffusion equation perturbed by a maximal monotone nonlinearity. We prove existence and regularity of strong solutions and, under further assumptions, a uniqueness result. Then, we show that the chosen SMC law forces the system to reach within finite time a sliding manifold that we chose in order that the tumor phase remains constant in time.  相似文献

Direct and inverse boundary value problems for models of stationary reaction–convection–diffusion are investigated. The direct problem consists in finding a solution of the corresponding boundary value problem for given data on the boundary of the domain of the independent variable. The peculiarity of the direct problem consists in the inhomogeneity and irregularity of mixed boundary data. Solvability and stability conditions are specified for the direct problem. The inverse boundary value problem consists in finding some traces of the solution of the corresponding boundary value problem for given standard and additional data on a certain part of the boundary of the domain of the independent variable. The peculiarity of the inverse problem consists in its ill-posedness. Regularizing methods and solution algorithms are developed for the inverse problem.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A nonlocal reaction–diffusion equation arising in various applications is studied. The speed of traveling waves is determined by means of a minimax representation. It is used to obtain the wave speed estimates and asymptotic values.  相似文献

We prove the existence of a traveling wave solution for a boundary reaction–diffusion equation when the reaction term is the combustion nonlinearity with ignition temperature. A key role in the proof is plaid by an explicit formula for traveling wave solutions of a free boundary problem obtained as singular limit for the reaction–diffusion equation (the so-called high energy activation energy limit). This explicit formula, which is interesting in itself, also allows us to get an estimate on the decay at infinity of the traveling wave (which turns out to be faster than the usual exponential decay).  相似文献

This paper investigates the blow-up of solutions for a time fractional nonlinear reaction–diffusion equation with weakly spatial source. We first derive two sufficient conditions under which the solutions may blow up in finite time. Then, we prove the existence of global solution when the initial data are small enough. Moreover, the long time behavior of bounded solutions will be analyzed.  相似文献
