We prove the uniqueness of a generalized solution of an initial-boundary value problem for the wave equation with boundary conditions of the third and second kind. In addition, we find a closed-form expression for the analytic solution of that problem with zero initial data. The result plays an important role in the investigation of the boundary control problem. We show how to use the obtained solution for the investigation of the boundary control problem in the case of subcritical time intervals for which the solution of the boundary control problem, if it exists at all, is unique. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique solution in a class admitting the existence of finite energy.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain a generalization of the method of regularizing multipliers for the solution of the Hilbert boundary-value problem with finite index in the theory of analytic functions to the case of an infinite power-behaved index. This method is used to obtain a general solution of the homogeneous Hilbert problem for the half-plane, a solution that depends on the existence and the number of entire functions possessing mirror symmetry with respect to the real axis and satisfying some additional constraints related to the singularity characteristic of the index. To solve of the inhomogeneous problem, we essentially use a specially constructed solution of the homogeneous problem whereby we reduce the boundary condition of the Hilbert problem to a Dirichlet problem.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet problem for the Laplace equation in a plane domain with smooth cuts of arbitrary form for the case in which the solution is not continuous at the endpoints of the cuts. We present a well-posed statement of the problem, prove the existence and uniqueness theorems for the classical solution, obtain an integral representation of the solution, and use it to analyze the properties of the solution. We show that, as a rule, the Dirichlet problem in this setting has no weak solutions, even though there exists a classical solution.  相似文献

We obtain an integral representation of the solution of the Tricomi problem for the Lavrent’ev-Bitsadze equation with mixed boundary conditions in the elliptic part of the domain and with zero posed on one characteristic of the equation. The gradient of the solution is not continuous but satisfies some condition referred to as the “generalized Frankl matching condition.” We state theorems implying that the inhomogeneous Tricomi problem either has a unique solution or is determined modulo a solution of the homogeneous Tricomi problem.  相似文献

We determine the boundary of a two-dimensional region using the solution of the external initial boundary-value problem for the nonhomogeneous heat equation. The initial values for the boundary determination include the right-hand side of the equation and the solution of the initial boundary-value problem given for finitely many points outside the region. The inverse problem is reduced to solving a system of two integral equations nonlinear in the function defining the sought boundary. An iterative procedure is proposed for numerical solution of the problem involving linearization of integral equations. The efficiency of the proposed procedure is investigated by a computer experiment.  相似文献

The existence and uniqueness of the solution to the direct problem is studied. The solution to the direct problem is proved to be stable with respect to the sought coefficient. We present a complete solution of the inverse problem of spectral analysis for the Dirac operator with quasiperiodic boundary conditions. We prove a uniqueness theorem for the solution of the inverse problem and obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for a sequence of real numbers to be the spectrum of a quasiperiodic Dirac problem.  相似文献

For an integrodifferential equation corresponding to a two-dimensional viscoelastic problem, we study the problem of defining the spatial part of the kernel involved in the integral term of the equation. The support of the sought function is assumed to belong to a compact domain Ω. As information for solving this inverse problem, the traces of the solution to the direct Cauchy problem and its normal derivative are given for some finite time interval on the boundary of Ω. An important feature in the statement of the problem is the fact that the solution of the direct problem corresponds to the zero initial data and a force impulse in time localized on a fixed straight line disjoint with Ω. The main result of the article consists in obtaining a Lipschitz estimate for the conditional stability of the solution to the inverse problem under consideration.  相似文献

The paper proposes a statement of the uniqueness problem of solution to the Dirichlet problem for the vibrating string equation in an unbounded domain containing vertical and/or horizontal strips that is convex with respect to families of characteristics of the vibrating string equation. The author proves a sufficient condition for the uniqueness of solution to the Dirichlet problem in the new statement based on the behavior of the F. John mapping realizing the characteristic billiard. Also, the author discusses the complex characteristic billiard and the statement of the uniqueness problem of solution to the Dirichlet problem for the vibrating string equation corresponding to it.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with finding the least solution to the tensor complementarity problem. When the involved tensor is strongly monotone, we present a way to estimate the nonzero elements of the solution in a successive manner. The procedure for identifying the nonzero elements of the solution gives rise to an iterative method of solving the tensor complementarity problem. In each iteration, we obtain an iterate by solving a lower-dimensional tensor equation. After finitely many iterations, the method terminates with a solution to the problem. Moreover, the sequence generated by the method is monotonically convergent to the least solution to the problem. We then extend this idea for general case and propose a sequential mathematical programming method for finding the least solution to the problem. Since the least solution to the tensor complementarity problem is the sparsest solution to the problem, the method can be regarded as an extension of a recent result by Luo et al. (Optim Lett 11:471–482, 2017). Our limited numerical results show that the method can be used to solve the tensor complementarity problem efficiently.  相似文献

We consider the three-dimensional Dirichlet problem for equations of elliptic type in inhomogeneous media. The problem can be reduced to a system of loaded Fredholm integral equations of the second kind over the volume. We prove the uniqueness of a classical solution of the problem. We suggest a numerical solution algorithm of iterative type. An example of the numerical solution of the problem is considered, and the convergence of the iterative procedure is demonstrated numerically.  相似文献

We study the solvability of the Tricomi problem for the Lavrent’ev-Bitsadze equation with mixed boundary conditions in the elliptic part of the domain. On the type change line of the equation, the solution gradient is subjected to a condition that is usually referred to as the generalized Frankl transmission condition. We show that the inhomogeneous Tricomi problem either has a unique solution or is conditionally solvable and the homogeneous problem has only the trivial solution. In this paper we consider a free boundary problem of general type for the heat equation in one space dimension. We formulate this problem as an optimal control problem and derive necessary conditions for a solution of it. A weak solution of the Neumann problem for the Stokes system in Sobolev space is studied in a bounded Lipschitz domain with connected boundary. A solution is looked for in the form of a hydrodynamical single layer potential. It leads to an integral equation on the boundary of the domain. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are given. Moreover, it is shown that we can obtain a solution of this integral equation using the successive approximation method. Then the consequences for the direct boundary integral equation method are treated. A solution of the Neumann problem for the Stokes system is the sum of the hydrodynamical single layer potential corresponding to the boundary condition and the hydrodynamical double layer potential corresponding to the trace of the velocity part of the solution. Using boundary behavior of potentials we get an integral equation on the boundary of the domain where the trace of the velocity part of the solution is unknown. It is shown that we can obtain a solution of this integral equation using the successive approximation method.  相似文献

We study a linear, discrete ill-posed problem, by which we mean a very ill-conditioned linear least squares problem. In particular we consider the case when one is primarily interested in computing a functional defined on the solution rather than the solution itself. In order to alleviate the ill-conditioning we require the norm of the solution to be smaller than a given constant. Thus we are lead to minimizing a linear functional subject to two quadratic constraints. We study existence and uniqueness for this problem and show that it is essentially equivalent to a least squares problem with a linear and a quadratic constraint, which is easier to handle computationally. Efficient algorithms are suggested for this problem.  相似文献

We construct and justify the asymptotics of a boundary layer solution of a boundary value problem for a singularly perturbed second-order ordinary differential equation for the case in which the degenerate (finite) equation has an identically double root. A specific feature of the asymptotics is the presence of a three-zone boundary layer. The solution of the boundary value problem is a stationary solution of the corresponding parabolic equation. We prove the asymptotic stability of this solution and find its attraction domain.  相似文献

We consider the problem of finding the coefficients of the first derivatives in a second-order hyperbolic equation. The additional information is the trace of a solution and its normal derivative on the lateral surface of the cylindrical domain of some direct problem for the original equation. The impulse point source lies outside the domain in which the sought coefficients are determined and is a parameter of the problem. We suppose that the number of sources for which the trace of a solution is given coincides with the number of the coefficients to be determined. The main result of this article is a stability estimate for a solution to the inverse problem under consideration.  相似文献
