Two calix[4]arene isomers with benzaldehyde moieties, i.e., 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-(o-formyl-phenoxy)ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (3) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-(p-formylphenoxy)-ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (4), were synthesized according to a newly designed route in high yields, and their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray crystallographic study. The photophysical behavior on complexation of calix[4]arene derivatives 3 and 4 with terbium(Ⅲ) nitrate was investigated in anhydrous acetonitrile at 25℃ by UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. The crystallographic structure of 3 indicated that the eight oxygen atoms formed a preorganized ionophoric cavity due to intramolecular π-π stacking, which could encapsulate lanthanide ions tightly. In sharp contrast, the compound 4 formed a linear array by intermolecular π-π stacking, hence the oxygen atoms of pendant arms could not coordinate with metal ions, giving a poor binding ability to Tb^3 . The absorption spectra of 3 with Tb^3 showed clearly a new broad intense absorption at 385nm. Interestingly, the narrow emission line spectrum has also been observed for compound 3 with Tb^3 , and the results obtained were discussed from the viewpoint of energy transfer mechanism between host structures and the properties of lanthanide ions.  相似文献

Role of alkali and alkaline earth ions on the formation of calix[4]arene-amide derivatives through O-alkylation of the lower rim phenolic-OH groups in general and template action of K+ in particular have been explored. Na+ and K+ ions among alkali, and Ca2+ and Sr2+ ions among alkaline earth have shown tetra-amide derivatives bound to metal ion species. Among all these, potassium salts act as template and yields a K+ bound tetra-amide derivative where the charge is counter balanced by a calix[4] arene-monoanion and the product is crystallographically characterized. Change in the amide precursor used in these O-alkylation reactions has no effect on the type of the amide derivative formed. Also demonstrated is a direct one-step reaction for the preparation of 1,3-di-amide derivative in high yield and low reaction period using CsHCO3.  相似文献

A series of new calix[4]phenols, calix[4]resorcinols and calix[4]pyrogallols with acetylhydrazide substitutes has been␣synthesized with high yields by hydrazinolysis of ester group containing calix[4]arenes. The synthesized calix[4]phenols adopt the cone conformation while the calix[4]resorcinol and calix[4]pyrogallol derivatives prefer the boat conformation. The amide fragment of the hydrazide groups predominantly exists in the trans-conformation. The binding ability of synthesized calix[4]arenes toward transition and alkali metals by solvent extraction has been investigated.  相似文献

New podands based on the p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene unit with substitution at the lower rim incorporating imine units, have been synthesized in high yield by simple condensation method. These podands have been shown to extract and transport Ag+ selectively over alkali, alkaline earth metal cations, Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ ions, from neutral aqueous phase to organic phase. In all the ligands the calix unit has been found to be present in a cone conformation except for the one having pyridine as end group, at the ortho position. It has been isolated in two conformations; cone and 1,2-alternate. To the best of our knowledge, this may be the first 1,3-lower rim substituted calix[4]arene to exist in a 1,2-alternate conformation and is among a few known compounds with this conformation in the general class of calix[4]arenes. A complex of this ligand, which happens to be the highest extractant of Ag+ has been isolated and characterized using mass, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy's and elemental analysis. The spectroscopic evidence and molecular modelling studies performed on the complex suggest a participation of the imine and pyridine nitrogens and two of the ether oxygens in coordination to the metal ion. The X-ray crystal structures of three of the ligands establish the formation of inclusion complexes with polar acetonitrile solvent molecules. The 1H and 13C NMR spectra of all the compounds, taken in CDCl3, show the presence of acetonitrile molecules in the cavity of the calix[4]arene, indicating inclusion of the neutral guest molecules in the solution phase as well. For one of the podands X-ray crystal structure has shown a formation of clatharate complex of chloroform with the ligand which has rarely been found in the case of calix[4]arenes.  相似文献

A series of new calix[4]resorcinarenes (rccc-isomer) and resorcinols functionalized by acetylhydrazone binding fragments have been synthesized. The IR and NMR data and stereochemical behaviour of hydrazones are reported and compared with the results of earlier investigations. The barriers of rotation of hydrazone fragments for some octahydrazone derivatives of calix[4]resorcinarenes and their resorcinol analogues have been determined by NMR-measurements. The complexing behaviour of bis- and octahydrazones has been studied by liquid-liquid extraction towards the s-metal ions (Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+ and Ca2+), p-metal ions (Pb2+), d-metal ions (Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Hg2+) and f-metal ions (La3+, Gd3+ and Lu3+). The stoichiometry of complexes and the extraction constants have been determined. It has been established that octahydrazones do not extract alkali metal cations but show excellent selectivity towards transition and soft heavy metal cations (especially Hg2+ or Pb2+).  相似文献

The synthesis and complexing properties of a calix[4]arene derivate (6) carrying two spirobenzopyran moieties are described. The addition of lanthanide ions resulted in significant UV-vis spectral shifts (68-84 nm) in visible region. It indicates that the synthetic receptor can recognize lanthanide ions by naked eyes over other cations including Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Fe3+, Cu2+ and Zn2+. The mechanism of recognition was studied with 1H NMR, UV-vis spectra and emission spectra. The receptor may be applied to sense lanthanide ions.  相似文献

Aminophosphonate calix[4]resorcinarene derivatives extract lanthanum and lutetium ions from aqueous solutions to chloroform much more efficiently than O,O-diethyl[(4-nitrophenyl)aminobenzyl] phosphonate does. In an excess of the metal ion in the aqueous phase with respect to the amounts of the extracting agent and sodium picrate, extraction occurs at the 1 : 1 molar ratio of the metal ion to extracting agent. In a twofold excess of the extracting agent and a considerable excess of sodium picrate over the metal ion, the composition of the extracted complex depends substantially on both the length of the alkyl substituent in the (AlkO)2P(O) group in the extracting agent and the number of lanthanide.  相似文献

Synthesis of water-soluble potassium salts of carboxymethyl derivatives of calix[4]pyrogallols and dodeca(carboxylatomethyl)tetramethylcalix[4]pyrogallol (L) complexes with transition metal ions (Cu2+, Fe3+, La3+) is described. Their structures in the solid state and in solution were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, ESR, and IR spectroscopy. Calix[4]pyrogallol dodecacarboxylates exist in the rccc-configuration. Calix[4]pyrogallol with methyl substituents at the lower rim in a wide range concentrations exists in water predominantly in the dimeric form. The obtained polynuclear transition metal complexes possess less symmetric structure than potassium salt of calix[4]pyrogallol (K12L). All studied complexes contain water molecules bound by rather strong hydrogen bonds. At room temperature the Fe4L complex is characterized by the environment of the Fe3+ ions close to octahedral. The absence of signals in the ESR spectrum of the Cu6L complex indicates the strong antiferromagnetic interaction Cu2+-Cu2+.  相似文献

The complexation properties of three new chromogenic calix[4]arenes ( 1a–c) with aliphatic amines and alkali/alkali earth metal ions have been studied by UV/Vis spectroscopy. 1c shows the greatest complex forming ability and it is selective for Li+, Ca2+ and certain amines in polar solvents.  相似文献

A series of calix[4]arene derivatives containing N or S atoms atthe lower rim were synthesized by etherification of OH groups and their metal-ion extraction abilities were studied. The extraction selectivity for Ag+ over other ions with these novel receptors was outstanding. Among these ligands, calix[4]arene podand, which possessed two linear ligands, has shown better binding ability with Ag+ than calix[4]crowns.  相似文献

New phosphorylated calix[4]resorcinarene and cavitands were synthesized. Their extraction ability toward LaIII, GdIII, and YbIII ions was studied. The cavitands are more efficient extracting agents than octasubstituted calix[4]resorcinarenes. The nature of substituents at the nitrogen atom at the upper rim and hydrophobic substituents at the lower rim exerts a substantial effect on the solubility of the extracted complex in chloroform. Coordination of two lanthanide ions with an extragent molecule results in their efficient but non-selective extraction. The literature and our spectral (31P NMR) data suggested that the ligand in the extracted complex has most probably a “kite” conformation. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. The synthesis and calcium-selective chromogenic ion binding properties of benzothiazolium derivative of calix[4]arene are described. The merocyanine-type ionophore derived from calix[4]arene-diamide showed selective chromogenic properties toward Ca2+ ions in aqueous methanol. The compound showed significant Ca2+ ion dependent changes in UV-vis spectral properties in the presence of other physiologically important metal ions (Na+, K+, and Mg2+). The pH sensitive chromogenic behavior also suggests that the compound can be used as a sensitive pH indicator around pH 6.5.  相似文献

We found that the PVC membrane, containing azo calix[4]arene is a suitable ionophore, exhibited a Nernstian response for neodymium (Nd3+) ions (with slope of 19.8 ± 0.2 mV decade−1 for the triply charged ion) over a wide linear range of 4.0 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−1 mol L−1 with a detection limit 1.0 × 10−8 mol L−1, a relatively fast response time, in the whole concentration range (<10 s), and a considerable life time at least for four months in the pH range of 4.0-8.0. Furthermore, the electrode revealed high selectivity with respect to all the common alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions, including the members of the lanthanide family other than Nd3+. Concerning its applications, it was effectively employed for the determination of neodymium ions in industrial waste water as well as in lake water.  相似文献

A series of calixarene derivatives 2―5 containing heteroatom at the lower rim have been synthesized. 1H NMR studies and crystallographic structures demonstrated that the calix[4]arene derivatives adopted cone conformations. Their cationic binding abilities and selectivities towards heavy and tran- sition metal ions have been evaluated by solvent extraction of aqueous metal picrates. The obtained results indicated that the introduction of nitrogen, sulfur, and/or phosphor atoms to the calix[4]arene framework could effectively enhance their binding ability and selectivity for heavy and transition metal ions, such as Pb2 or Ag .  相似文献

A new ditopic ion‐pair receptor 1 was designed, synthesized, and characterized. Detailed binding studies served to confirm that this receptor binds fluoride and chloride ions (studied as their tetraalkylammonium salts) and forms stable 1:1 complexes in CDCl3. Treatment of the halide‐ion complexes of 1 with Group I and II metal ions (Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Mg2+, and Ca2+; studied as their perchlorate salts in CD3CN) revealed unique interactions that were found to depend on both the choice of the added cation and the precomplexed anion. In the case of the fluoride complex [ 1? F]? (preformed as the tetrabutylammonium (TBA+) complex), little evidence of interaction with the K+ ion was seen. In contrast, when this same complex (i.e., [ 1? F]? as the TBA+ salt) was treated with the Li+ or Na+ ions, complete decomplexation of the receptor‐bound fluoride ion was observed. In sharp contrast to what was seen with Li+, Na+, and K+, treating complex [ 1? F]? with the Cs+ ion gave rise to a stable, receptor‐bound ion‐pair complex [Cs ?1? F] that contains the Cs+ ion complexed within the cup‐like cavity of the calix[4]pyrrole, which in turn was stabilized in its cone conformation. Different complexation behavior was observed in the case of the chloride complex [ 1? Cl]?. In this case, no appreciable interaction was observed with Na+ or K+. In addition, treating [ 1? Cl]? with Li+ produces a tightly hydrated dimeric ion‐pair complex [ 1? LiCl(H2O)]2 in which two Li+ ions are bound to the crown moiety of the two receptors. In analogy to what was seen in the case of [ 1? F]?, exposure of [ 1? Cl]? to the Cs+ ion gives rise to an ion‐pair complex [Cs ?1? Cl] in which the cation is bound within the cup of the calix[4]pyrrole. Different complexation modes were also observed when the binding of the fluoride ion was studied by using the tetramethylammonium and tetraethylammonium salts.  相似文献

A series of novel double-armed calix[4]arene derivatives, i.e. 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl -25,27-bis[2-[(2-hydroxy-5-(4-nitroazo)benzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxy-calix[4]-arene (4), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[(2-hydroxy-5-(2-nitroazo)benzylidene) amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (5), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[(2-hydroxy-5-(4-chloroazo)benzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (6), have been synthesized as an selective chromoionophore for Na+. The complexation behavior of ligands 4-6 with alkali metal ions Na+, K+, Rb+and Cs+ has been evaluated by using UV-Vis spectrometry in CH3CN-H2O (99:1/V:V) solution at 25°C. The UV-Vis spectra show that the complexation of 4-6 with Na+exhibits obvious bathochromic shifts (λmax 379→480 nm) and there is a unique color change in the solution from yellow to red upon complexation. The binding constants for Na+ are higher than that of other alkali metal ions, giving the highest cation selectivity up to 7 for Na+/K+. The binding ability and photophysical behavior of alkali cations by calix[4]arene derivatives 4-6 are discussed from the point of view of substituted effects at the lower rim of parent calix[4]arene and size-fit concept between host calix[4]arenes and guest cations.  相似文献

New de-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arenes with acetylhydrazide substituents in cone and 1,3-alternate conformations have been synthesised with good yield by the hydrazinolysis of calix[4]arene ester derivatives. The recognition ability of synthesised macrocycles towards transition and alkali metals has been investigated by the picrate extraction method. The stoichiometry of complexes and the extraction constants have been determined. It has been found that tetrahydrazides do not extract alkali metal ions, but show an excellent affinity towards transition and heavy metal cations. The 1,3-alternate conformer of de-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arene has revealed a remarkable selectivity for Ni2+ and Ag+ in the row of d-elements and for Cd2+ ion among the toxic heavy metals. The experimental data show that the removal of tert-butyl groups from tetrathiacalix[4]arene framework leads to the drastic improvement of extraction efficiency and selectivity of new tetrahydrazides.  相似文献

我们方便地合成了上沿修饰四丹磺酰胺基团的杯[4]芳烃衍生物1,发现该化合物在含50%水的乙腈中显示出对汞离子高选择性和灵敏性的识别作用,竞争实验表明多数金属离子对其检测干扰较小。机理研究结果表明荧光萃灭源于由丹磺酰胺基团到汞离子的光致电子转移过程。另外,通过研究1和1-Hg2+的荧光衰减实验,以及对比双丹磺酰胺杯[4]芳烃2和单丹磺酰胺杯[4]芳烃3对汞离子的识别作用,发现化合物1的四丹磺酰胺基团具有很好的预组织和协同作用。化合物1对汞离子的检测限为3.41×10-6 mol·L-1,这可以使1成为一个潜在的汞离子荧光化学传感器。  相似文献

The host–guest complexation reactions between 5,11,17,23‐tetra‐tert‐butyl‐25,27‐diethoxycarbonylmethoxy‐26,28‐dimethoxy calix[4]arene (BDDC4) and alkali and alkaline‐earth metal ions were investigated by facilitated ion transfer processes across water/1,2‐dichloroethane microinterface by using steady‐state cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. The obtained facilitated transfers for Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Ca2+ were evaluated under the different experimental conditions, at the excess concentrations of metal ions with respect to BDDC4 and vice versa. The association constants having 1 : 1 stoichiometry for Li+, Na+, K+ and Rb+ in 1,2‐DCE were determined. Also, we demonstrated that BDDC4 can play an important role for the development of highly selective chemical sensor for Ca2+ among alkaline‐metal ions in the concentration range of 0.1–1.0 mM in aqueous solution.  相似文献

A new fluorogenic ionophore has been prepared by conjugating calix[4]-crown-5 ether with boron-dipyrromethene fluorophore. The ionophore exhibited a pronounced selective ON-OFF type response toward Ca2+ ions over other physiologically important metal ions of Na+, K+, and Mg2+. The interaction with Ca2+ ions resulted in very efficient quenching of fluorescence at 507 nm excited by relatively long wavelength irradiation at 480 nm. The selectivity ratios toward Ca2+ ions over other tested physiologically important metal ions were larger than 180 in aqueous 95% MeOH solution.  相似文献
