时间频率基准装置——铯原子喷泉钟, 在标准时间产生和保持、基础物理研究中发挥了重要的作用. 介绍了铯原子喷泉钟的工作原理, 对影响其性能的各项噪声源和频移项给出了分析, 影响频率稳定度性能的主要因素为Dick 效应相关的原子团装载时间、微波激励源相位噪声和探测激光的频率噪声, 影响频率不确定性能主要频移项为: 黑体辐射频移、冷原子碰撞频移、腔相位分布频移和微波泄露频移; 总结和比较了当前具有先进性能的铯原子喷泉钟采用的技术; 介绍了铯原子喷泉钟的主要应用方向、空间冷原子铯钟的研制情况和光学频率原子钟进展.  相似文献

Transport cross sections for the electron-ion and electron-electron scattering in (dense) cesium plasmas is determined with the partial wave method. The scattering phase shifts δl(k) are calculated numerically by means of the usual Numerov method and the advantageous amplitude — phase method for energies E = 10-4··· 5 ryd and for Debye screening lengths RD = (10···103)a0. Besides the usual Debye potential, also a Thomas-Fermi potential is applied for the cesium electron-ion interaction. The resulting transport cross sections are compared with the Born and quasi-classical approximations. Furthermore, the electrical conductivity of fully ionized cesium plasmas is determined and compared with respective Spitzer results.  相似文献

A setup for generation of GHz side-bands by direct current modulation of a diode laser is described. The first order side-bands are used to inject two slave power diode lasers, in order to produce phase coherent, controllable frequency shifted, light beams, the mutual phase coherence of which has been verified (beat-note FWHM of 1 Hz, instrumentally limited). The cesium submonolayer coatings on the Ga-rich GaAs(100) surface at different coverages have been investigated by threshold photoemission spectroscopy. The electronic spectra of surface states and the ion-ization energies are analyzed. At a cesium coverage of about one-half the monolayer, the spectrum exhibits two narrow adsorption-induced bands below the Fermi level. This indicates that cesium atoms interacting with gallium dimers occupy two nonequivalent positions. It is found that the gallium broken bonds are saturated at the cesium coverage of ~0.7 monolayer, and the adsorption bonding is predominantly covalent in character. At the coverages close to the monolayer, broad bands with energies of 1.9, 2.05, and 2.4 eV have been observed for the first time. These bands can be associated with the excitation of cesium islands, cesium clusters, and surface cesium plasmon, respectively. The results obtained suggest two adsorption stages characterized by the formation of strong and weak bonds.  相似文献

Two-dimensional images carried by optical pulses (2 ns) are delayed by up to 10 ns in a 10 cm cesium vapor cell. By interfering the delayed images with a local oscillator, the transverse phase and amplitude profiles of the images are shown to be preserved. It is further shown that delayed images can be well preserved even at very low light levels, where each pulse contains on average less than one photon.  相似文献

The thermopower of cesium has been measured in the region of existence of four phases (I, II, III, and IV) at high pressures up to 7 GPa. The initial phase of cesium and three phases formed under pressure with various crystal structures have a positive thermopower. In this article, the high-pressure structural phase transition and electron momentum density in PbTe have been studied by means of first-principles total energy calculations which are based on the linear combination of atomic orbitals method within generalized gradient approximation. It is observed that the stable phase of PbTe is rocksalt (B1) type and it transforms to an orthorhombic Pnma (B27, FeB type) structure at 6.77?GPa. Further, structural phase transition from the Pnma phase to the cesium chloride (B2) phase has been observed at 13.04?GPa. The anisotropies in theoretical directional Compton profiles indicate larger occupied states along the [100] direction. On the basis of equal-valence-electron-density profiles, it is found that PbTe shows less ionicity as compared to PbS and PbSe.  相似文献

We present a new method based on a transfer of population by adiabatic passage that allows one to prepare cold atomic samples with a well-defined ratio of atomic density and atom number. This method is used to perform a measurement of the cold collision frequency shift in a laser cooled cesium clock at the percent level, which makes the evaluation of the cesium fountain accuracy at the 10(-16) level realistic. With improvements, the adiabatic passage would allow measurements of density-dependent phase shifts at the 10(-3) level in high precision experiments.  相似文献

A direct experiment is performed to determine the quantum efficiency of a cesium fluorescence filter. The fluorescence spectra of cesium atoms are recorded under excitation of the upper states of the second resonance doublet with a Bell–Bloom cesium lamp. Introduction of different noble gases into the cell with cesium leads to the appearance of additional fluorescence photons. It is found that a fluorescence filter based on atomic cesium vapor with addition of helium in the working cell has the highest efficiency and response rate of all known fluorescence filters based on alkali-metal atomic vapors.  相似文献

Experimental data for the variation of the work function on the Si and GaAs semiconductor surfaces irradiated by cesium ions are presented. The formation mechanism of CsM+ cluster ions (M is the analyte) is considered. Ionization potentials for some CsM molecules are calculated, and a simple experimental technique to determine the concentration of cesium penetrating into the subsurface region of various materials during cesium ion sputtering is suggested. This technique uses a preimplanted potassium as an “internal standard.”  相似文献

Using diffraction data for liquid cesium structure over a wide temperature range, models of liquid cesium are constructed and the effective pair potentials are extracted using the theory of liquids. The iterative procedure proposed by L. Reatto is used. In the range 323-1923 K the pair potentials are weakly temperature-dependent. The potentials extracted from the diffraction data differ from the potentials calculated using the Animalu-Heine pseudopotential. The self-diffusion coefficients in liquid cesium are determined. The adsorption of one cesium atom on a (110) gallium arsenide surface is investigated by means of a molecular-orbital method. Several surface deformations are considered. The values obtained for the extraction energy of one electron, the net charge of cesium atom, and the adsorption energy, allow to infer that the cesium atom is placed above the surface in neighbourhood of a gallium atom.  相似文献

基于成熟的光纤激光器、光纤放大器及高效激光频率转换技术,我们在实验中研制了一套瓦级输出的窄线宽连续波单频可调谐318.6 nm紫外激光系统,并在室温铯原子气室中实现了6S_(1/2)—nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)单光子跃迁里德伯激发.借助由铯原子6S_(1/2)(F=4)基态、6P_(3/2)(F′=5)激发态和nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)里德伯态构成的V型三能级系统,通过频率锁定于铯原子6S_(1/2)(F=4)—6P_(3/2)(F′=5)超精细跃迁的852.3 nm探测光束的吸收减弱信号获得了里德伯态的信息,并利用高精度波长计测量了铯原子nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)里德伯态的量子亏损值.经过与理论计算值的变化趋势进行对比,我们认为由于原子气室的里德伯屏蔽效应并不能完全屏蔽外部直流电场,铯原子气室内存在残余的直流电场,影响了对里德伯态的量子亏损值的实验测量.利用残余直流电场的Stark效应理论模型及其与有效主量子数n*的依赖关系,对铯原子里德伯态的量子亏损实验测量值进行了修正.修正后的铯原子nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)态量子亏损测量值为3.5591±0.0007,与理论计算值相吻合.  相似文献
