In this paper, sufficient criteria are established for the existence of periodic solutions of some functional dynamic equations with infinite delays on time scales, which generalize and incorporate as special cases many known results for differential equations and for difference equations when the time scale is the set of the real numbers or the integers, respectively. The approach is mainly based on the Krasnosel’ski? fixed point theorem, which has been extensively applied in studying existence problems in differential equations and difference equations but rarely applied in studying dynamic equations on time scales. This study shows that one can unify such existence studies in the sense of dynamic equations on general time scales. 相似文献

Sufficient and realistic conditions are obtained for the existence of positive periodic solutions in periodic equations with state-dependent delay. The method involves the application of the coincidence degree theorem and estimations of uniform upper bounds on solutions. Applications of these results to some population models are presented. These application results indicate that seasonal effects on population models often lead to synchronous solutions. In addition, we may conclude that when both seasonality and time delay are present and deserve consideration, the seasonality is often the generating force for the often observed oscillatory behavior in population densities.

In this article we use the monotone method for the computation of numerical solutions of a nonlinear reaction-diffusion-convection problem with time delay. Three monotone iteration processes for a suitably formulated finite-difference system of the problem are presented. It is shown that the sequence of iteration from each of these iterative schemes converges from either above or below to a unique solution of the finite-difference system without any monotone condition on the nonlinear reaction function. An analytical comparison result among the three processes of iterations is given.
