A detailed analysis of the relationship between elastic waves in inhomogeneous, porous media and the effect of wave-induced fluid flow is presented. Based on the results of the poroelastic first-order statistical smoothing approximation applied to Biot's equations of poroelasticity, a model for elastic wave attenuation and dispersion due to wave-induced fluid flow in 3-D randomly inhomogeneous poroelastic media is developed. Attenuation and dispersion depend on linear combinations of the spatial correlations of the fluctuating poroelastic parameters. The observed frequency dependence is typical for a relaxation phenomenon. Further, the analytic properties of attenuation and dispersion are analyzed. It is shown that the low-frequency asymptote of the attenuation coefficient of a plane compressional wave is proportional to the square of frequency. At high frequencies the attenuation coefficient becomes proportional to the square root of frequency. A comparison with the 1-D theory shows that attenuation is of the same order but slightly larger in 3-D random media. Several modeling choices of the approach including the effect of cross correlations between fluid and solid phase properties are demonstrated. The potential application of the results to real porous materials is discussed.  相似文献

Fabric dependence of quasi-waves in anisotropic porous media   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Assessment of bone loss and osteoporosis by ultrasound systems is based on the speed of sound and broadband ultrasound attenuation of a single wave. However, the existence of a second wave in cancellous bone has been reported and its existence is an unequivocal signature of poroelastic media. To account for the fact that ultrasound is sensitive to microarchitecture as well as bone mineral density (BMD), a fabric-dependent anisotropic poroelastic wave propagation theory was recently developed for pure wave modes propagating along a plane of symmetry in an anisotropic medium. Key to this development was the inclusion of the fabric tensor--a quantitative stereological measure of the degree of structural anisotropy of bone--into the linear poroelasticity theory. In the present study, this framework is extended to the propagation of mixed wave modes along an arbitrary direction in anisotropic porous media called quasi-waves. It was found that differences between phase and group velocities are due to the anisotropy of the bone microarchitecture, and that the experimental wave velocities are more accurately predicted by the poroelastic model when the fabric tensor variable is taken into account. This poroelastic wave propagation theory represents an alternative for bone quality assessment beyond BMD.  相似文献

研究了弹性波在非均匀裂纹孔隙介质中的传播特性,建立了各向异性喷射流模型.当弹性波通过裂纹孔隙介质时,由于波的扰动及裂纹和孔隙几何结构的不一致,导致在裂纹内部及裂纹与周边孔隙之间同时存在着流体压力梯度.此时的弹性波波动响应中包含着裂纹内连通性特征和背景孔隙渗透率信息.流体的动态流动过程使得介质的等效弹性参数为复数(非完全弹性),并且具有频率依赖性.当弹性波为低频和高频极限时,介质为完全弹性;当处于中间频段时,波有衰减和频率依赖.裂纹孔隙介质的各向异性连通性(渗透率)对应着各向异性特征频率(当渗流长度等于非均匀尺度时的弹性波频率),波的传播受到裂纹内连通性的影响.在一定频段内,随着裂纹厚度的增加,将出现第二峰值,峰值大小同时受到裂纹厚度和半径的影响.  相似文献

The theoretical advantages of ultrasonic attenuation spectroscopy for particle size are currently not fully utilized. Especially in the region of larger particles, there is a lack of experimental confirmation of applicable models which may be used to infer particle sizes from measured attenuation spectra. With the present work, an attempt is made to supply experimental data, obtained with a commercially available ultrasonic attenuation spectrometer, and model calculations, which are based on the resonant scattering theory. It is shown that measured attenuation results for various combinations of disperse and continuous phase for both polydisperse emulsions and suspensions are reproducible by calculation. The approach is further examined for suspensions of porous particles. Here, the resonant scattering approach is combined with the Biot model for poroelasticity to obtain attenuation results with several fractions of titania aggregates, differing in particle size and pore diameter. The results indicate that the theory of resonant scattering is a valid approach if applied to particle size characterization in the large particle limit.  相似文献

现有超声散射统一理论可通过多晶体材料的微观结构和力学特性,实现全频域范围内衰减和相速度的正演建模,但其忽略晶粒尺寸分布的影响,进而降低了正演模型的计算精度.本文对不均匀介质的波动方程进行二阶Keller近似,用全频域格林函数推导介质中的平均波;以截断对数正态分布描述晶粒分布,构建加权的空间相关函数;结合材料的弹性模量协方差,建立含晶粒分布的超声散射统一理论,揭示晶粒分布对超声散射的影响规律;制备304不锈钢试块并开展超声散射实验.结果表明考虑晶粒分布特性后,纵波衰减谱和相速度谱相对于实验结果的相异性降低约49%和64%,横波衰减谱和相速度谱相对于实验结果的相异性降低约12%和4%.可见,本文的统一理论模型能有效修正晶粒分布导致的衰减谱和相速度谱偏差,为晶粒分布反演评价提供理论基础.  相似文献

现有几何光学方法的二向反射分布函数BRDF (bidirectional reflection distribution function)模型在计算阴影遮蔽效应时普遍应用Blinn几何衰减效应假设, 其等倾角V形槽近似得出的分段折线形式的几何衰减因子导致BRDF曲线存在较大的误差. 基于倾斜角随机高斯分布的微面元理论提出了一种新的几何衰减模型, 得出了积分形式的几何衰减因子表达式, 数值模拟比较了Blinn几何衰减因子与修正后的积分型衰减因子以及对应的BRDF模型曲线. 结果表明: 提出的几何衰减因子在物理合理性以及模拟精度方面都有明显提升, 使BRDF模型曲线与已有BRDF 数据之间的标准误差由0.0636减小到0.0084.  相似文献

The study of the propagation of waves in randomly diluted models is presented. Porosity (crack-like) models are simulated by constructing typical elastic percolation networks with random microscopic heterogeneities in order to resemble rock media. Central and bond-bending forces (Born Hamiltonian) models are considered. For each experimental case, the elastic energy of the system is relaxed in equilibrium and then the model is excited by a pulse source in order to produce wave propagation. First, a review is presented of the well established velocity-porosity relationship from rock physics, which shows a linear trend from small porosities up to the critical porosity (percolation threshold) where the rocks fall apart. From the wave propagation analysis a general trend is observed for the attenuation of waves, from the small to the large porosity models, suggesting multiple scattering effects similar to those reported from effective-medium approximations of wave scattering due to random heterogeneities. Finally, the results are compared with those obtained from laboratory experiments on dry rocks with different porosities and different applied stress regimes.  相似文献

The Frenkel-Biot theory is used to study the propagation of a longitudinal harmonic wave of the first kind in an isotropic porous matrix with inclusions contrasting in elastic properties and hydrodynamic permeability. The generation of elastic waves of the second kind at the boundaries of inclusions is taken into account. The effective wave number of the longitudinal wave is calculated using the equations of multiple scattering theory. The characteristic size of inhomogeneities is assumed to be much greater than the size of pores. The parameters of the model used for calculations correspond to sandstone with centimeter-scale inhomogeneities. The presence of such inhomogeneities is typical of sedimentary rocks. Calculations show that, in the frequency range of acoustic logging, the effective attenuation factor of the longitudinal wave may noticeably exceed the attenuation factors of longitudinal waves of the first kind in both matrix and inclusions. From the results obtained, it follows that, when studying the propagation of elastic waves in fluid-saturated porous media, it is necessary to take into account the hydrodynamic effects associated with the filtration overflows that arise at the boundaries of inhomogeneities.  相似文献

While the millimeter radio wave propagates through rainfall, it will be attenuated heavily due to assimilation and scattering of rain. It is imperative to establish a simple and effective model to predict the rain-induced attenuation. In this paper, the rainfall is taken as a random system that can attenuate the radio wave. The transfer function matrix model is selected to be the random system model. Using experiment rain attenuation data at different rain rate, the correlation entropy and residue error of the system is obtained by system identification method. On the basis of correlation entropy and residue error, we can determine the order of the predication system. At last, the predication model that can forecast heavy rain attenuation by small rain attenuation is gotten by applying the least square method. The comparison shows that the discrepancy between the predication result of the obtained model and the experiment rain attenuation data is relatively minor.  相似文献

用线性稳定性理论,分析粘性物质中的正激波稳定性问题.粘性物质中任意强度的一维激波,其稳定性问题可归结为处理复数范围内的特征值问题,该特征值问题由两个一阶常微分方程及一个二阶常微分方程构成.这些常微分方程的系数依赖于流动的基本流场的物理量及其梯度.所获得的特征值问题由一个四阶精度的有限差分离散求解.分析考虑物质粘性的金属铝中的正激波稳定性,可以看出,正激波运动是稳定的,并且激波速度对波前和波后的小扰动量的衰减有相反的作用,而物质粘性有致稳的作用.  相似文献

太赫兹(THz)波作为微波和毫米波的延伸,它所提供的通信带宽和容量远大于毫米波。在随机介质中传播时,不但会发生时域和空域的形变,介质中的粒子还会对入射波发生散射,这些都会使得脉冲信号发生衰减。根据Mie理论与随机离散分布粒子的波传播与散射理论,计算了THz波信号入射下雾滴粒子的消光系数。结合雾滴粒子谱分布,得到了雾媒质的平均体系散射特性,采用蒙特卡罗法得到了平流雾对THz信号的多重散射特性,计算了THz波段信号对平流雾的透过率与反射率,分析了THz波段信号的前向、后向散射特性随散射角的分布。结果表明,低能见度大气环境中,雾对THz波产生的吸收和衰减不容忽视。相关研究结果对THz在大气传输、通信等方面的应用具有重要意义。  相似文献

A careful look into the pertinent models of poroelasticity reveals that in water-saturated sediments or soils, the seismic (P and S wave) velocity dispersion and attenuation in the low field-seismic frequency band (20-200 Hz) have a contrasting behavior in the porosity-permeability domain. Taking advantage of this nearly orthogonal behavior, a new approach has been proposed, which leads to unique estimates of both porosity and permeability simultaneously. Through realistic numerical tests, the effect of maximum frequency content in data and the integration of P and S waves on the accuracy and robustness of the estimates are demonstrated.  相似文献

This article quantitatively investigates ultrasound propagation in numerical anisotropic porous media with finite-difference simulations in 3D. The propagation media consist of clusters of ellipsoidal scatterers randomly distributed in water, mimicking the anisotropic structure of cancellous bone. Velocities and attenuation coefficients of the ensemble-averaged transmitted wave (also known as the coherent wave) are measured in various configurations. As in real cancellous bone, one or two longitudinal modes emerge, depending on the micro-structure. The results are confronted with two standard theoretical approaches: Biot’s theory, usually invoked in porous media, and the Independent Scattering Approximation (ISA), a classical first-order approach of multiple scattering theory. On the one hand, when only one longitudinal wave is observed, it is found that at porosities higher than 90% the ISA successfully predicts the attenuation coefficient (unlike Biot’s theory), as well as the existence of negative dispersion. On the other hand, the ISA is not well suited to study two-wave propagation, unlike Biot’s model, at least as far as wave speeds are concerned. No free fitting parameters were used for the application of Biot’s theory. Finally we investigate the phase-shift between waves in the fluid and the solid structure, and compare them to Biot’s predictions of in-phase and out-of-phase motions.  相似文献

针对爆轰波在炸药-金属界面上折射时由实验获得的金属折射冲击波压力与经典爆轰波极曲线理论预测的压力存在显著差异这一问题, 本文展开了进一步的理论和数值模拟分析研究. 首先通过分析指出经典爆轰波极曲线理论的缺陷, 并对爆轰波极曲线理论进行了改进, 改进爆轰波极曲线理论给出了炸药爆轰波折射类型以及折射冲击作用点处的压力值. 然后发展了一个基于次特征理论来数值求解爆轰反应流动控制方程的二阶中心型Lagrange方法, 并数值模拟了一个典型的炸药爆轰波折射实验. 改进爆轰波极曲线理论和数值模拟分析结果表明, 爆轰波折射类型有三种:反射冲击波的正规折射、带Mach反射的非正规折射、无反射波的正规折射, 并且金属折射冲击波压力值随入射角增大而单调减小.  相似文献

考虑孔隙流体中含有少量气泡,且气泡在声波作用下线性振动,研究声波在这种孔隙介质中的传播特性.本文先由流体质量守恒方程和孔隙度微分与流体压力微分的关系推导出了含有气泡形式的渗流连续性方程;在处理渗流连续性方程中的气体体积分数时间导数时,应用Commander气泡线性振动理论导出气体体积分数时间导数与流体压强时间导数的关系,进而得到了修正的Biot形式的渗流连续性方程;最后结合Biot动力学方程求得了含气泡形式的位移场方程,便可得到两类纵波及一类横波的声学特性.通过对快、慢纵波的频散、衰减及两类波引起的流体位移与固体位移关系的考察,发现少量气泡的存在对快纵波和慢纵波的传播特性影响较大.  相似文献

研究平面电磁波在等离子体中的非线性吸收衰减.首先应用电磁波在等离子体中传播的极化理论得到非线性介电函数,进而求出了考虑非线性情况下的波矢.采用垂直入射具有金属衬底的均匀等离子体模型,对不同入射频率的电磁波的衰减以及总出入射功率比进行了数值模拟.与只考虑线性情况的结果作了比较,结果显示非线性项在研究过程中所起的作用是不可忽视的.  相似文献

依据Biot理论并采用前人的骨架模量孔隙度关系,计算了弹性波在孔隙介质中的衰减曲线,发现快纵波存在零衰减点.为解释这种现象,分析了孔隙流体相对于骨架运动的特点.结果表明,存在快纵波动力协调介质,快纵波在这种介质中传播时,流体和骨架之间无宏观相对位移,因此无论频率多高,流体粘滞系数多大,快纵波都不衰减.一个引申的结论是,在动力协调的渗透性孔隙介质中,即使存在双电层,快纵波也不产生流动电势.  相似文献

Abstract

We perform one-dimensional numerical simulations of small-amplitude acoustic pulses in space- and time-dependent random mass density and time-dependent velocity fields. Numerical results reveal that: (a) random fields affect the speeds, amplitudes and, consequently, shapes of sound pulses; (b) for weak random fields and short propagation times the numerical data converge with the analytical results of the mean field theory which says that a space-dependent (time-dependent) random field leads to wave attenuation (amplification) and all random fields speed up sound pulses; (c) for sufficiently strong random fields and long propagation times numerical simulations reveal pulse splitting into smaller components, parts of which propagate much slower than a wave pulse in a non-random medium. These slow waves build an initial stage of a wave localization phenomenon. However, this effect can be very weak in a real three-dimensional medium.  相似文献
