Hardy–Sobolev inequalities in half-space and some semilinear elliptic equations with singular coefficients

We study some semilinear elliptic equations with singular coefficients which relate to some Hardy–Sobolev inequalities. We obtain some existence results for these equations and give a theorem for prescribing the Palais–Smale sequence for these equations. Moreover, we find some interesting connections between these equations and some semilinear elliptic equations in hyperbolic space. Using these connections, we obtain many new results for these equations.     

Étude de certaines équations elliptiques à argument dévié

The elliptic equations with deviated arguments appear in some models of population such as in biology, etc. as indicated in the books [4] and [5] and the works of Levin [3], Skellam [6]. In this paper, we establish some results of existence and uniqueness for some non-local equations called elliptic equations with deviated argument. Firstly, we handle linear and nonlinear cases. Therefore, we hope to complete some results obtained by Chipot and Mardare [2].     

Variational approach to impulsive differential equations with periodic boundary conditions

In this paper, we obtain some new existence results of solutions of impulsive differential equations with periodic boundary conditions. The main tool that we use is critical point theory. Our results generalize some existing results on periodic solutions for second order ordinary differential equations even when the impulses are absent.     

Asymptotic behavior of solutions of functional difference equations

For linear functional difference equations, we obtain some results on the asymptotic behavior of solutions, which correspond to a Perron-type theorem for linear ordinary difference equations. We also apply our results to Volterra difference equations with infinite delay.     

Existence of Solutions for Nonlinear Implicit Differential Equations: An Equilibrium Problem Approach

In this article, we study the existence of solutions for nonlinear implicit differential equations associated to a time-dependent pseudomonotone (respectively, quasimonotone) operator by using a new approach based on the theory of equilibrium \hboxproblems. More precisely, we first establish some existence results of solutions for mixed equilibrium problems where the \hboxbifunctions are, respectively, maximal monotone and \hboxpseudomonotone (quasimonotone) in the topological sense. Then, we write the nonlinear implicit differential equations in the form of a mixed equilibrium problem. By using the existence results for mixed equilibrium problems, we establish the existence of solutions of nonlinear implicit differential equations. This new approach provides some new and nice results which improve and unify most of the recent results obtained in this direction.     

Some new integral inequalities and their applications in studying the stability of nonlinear integro-differential equations with time delay

In this paper, we generalize some integral inequalities to more general situations, and the inequalities of Pachpatte type are corollaries of our's. We establish bounds on the solutions, and we show the usefulness of our results in investigating the asymptotic behavior and the stability on the solutions of integral equations, differential equations and integro-differential equations with time delay.     

A note on the Cauchy problem of the generalized Davey–Stewartson equations

In this note, we establish some local and global existence results for the Cauchy problem of a class of nonlinear dispersive equations which generalize the nonlinear Schrödinger equations and the Davey–Stewartson equations. These results improve some previously obtained results by some other authors when they are restricted to certain special equations.     

Oscillation of Third-order Delay Dynamic Equations on Time Scales

This paper is concerned with the oscillatory behavior of a class of third-order noonlinear variable delay neutral functional dynamic equations on time scale. By using the generalized Riccati transformation and inequality technique, we establish some new oscilla- tion criteria for the equations. Our results extend and improve some known results, but also unify the oscillation of third-order nonlinear variable delay functional differential equations and functional difference equations with a nonlinear neutral term. Some examples are given to illustrate the importance of our results.

Some generalized integral inequalities and their applications

In this paper, we generalize some integral inequalities to more general situations. We establish bounds on the solutions and, by means of examples, we show the usefulness of our results in investigating the global existence of the solutions of integral equations and differential equations.

On entire solutions of two types of systems of complex differential-difference equations

In this paper, we will mainly investigate entire solutions with finite order of two types of systems of differential-difference equations, and obtain some interesting results. It extends some results concerning complex differential (difference) equations to the systems of differential-difference equations.     

Interpolation of nonlinear partial differential operators and generation of differentiale evolutions

By interpolating between Sobolev spaces we find that many partial differential operators become continuous when restricted to a sufficiently small domain. Hence some techniques from the theory of ordinary differential equations can be applied to some p.d.e.'s. Using these ideas, we study a class of nonlinear evolutions in a Banach space. We obtain some very simple existence and continuous dependence results. The theory is applicable to reaction-diffusion equations, dispersion equations, and hyperbolic equations before shocks develop.     

Local Aronson–Bénilan estimates and entropy formulae for porous medium and fast diffusion equations on manifolds

In this work we derive local gradient and Laplacian estimates of the Aronson–Bénilan and Li–Yau type for positive solutions of porous medium equations posed on Riemannian manifolds with a lower Ricci curvature bound. We also prove similar results for some fast diffusion equations. Inspired by Perelman's work we discover some new entropy formulae for these equations.

Some Discrete Nonlinear Inequalities and Applications to Boundary Value Problems for Difference Equations

In this paper, we establish some new discrete Gronwall–Bellman–Ou-Iang type inequalities over 2-dimensional lattices. These, on one hand, generalize some existing results in the literature and on the other hand, provide a handy tool for the study of qualitative properties of solutions of difference equations. We illustrate this by applying these new results to certain boundary value problem for difference equations.     

Perron type theorems for functional differential equations with infinite delay in a Banach space

For functional differential equations in a Banach space, we obtain some results on the asymptotic behavior of solutions, which correspond to Perron type theorems for differential equations without delay or with finite delay.     

Coupled fixed points of multivalued operators and first-order ODEs with state-dependent deviating arguments

We establish a coupled fixed point theorem for a meaningful class of mixed monotone multivalued operators, and then we use it to derive some results on the existence of quasisolutions and unique solutions to first-order functional differential equations with state-dependent deviating arguments. Our results are very general and can be applied to functional equations featuring discontinuities with respect to all of their arguments, but we emphasize that they are new even for differential equations with continuously state-dependent delays.
