Average lifetimes of unresolved transitions deexciting very high spin states populated in28Si(136, 129Xe,xn)164? x, 157?xEr reactions have been determined by a Doppler shift attenuation method. We find that the yrast bump region between 1.0 and 1.6 MeV contains a majority of strongly collectiveE2 transitions with very short lifetimes (a few tens of fsec) in the well deformed nuclei around159Er and, with less certainty, almost comparably short lifetimes in the more spherical nuclei around152Er. In the high energy region of 2.0–3.2 MeV we observe transitions which depopulate longer lived states in the nuclei nearN=82 than in the well deformed systems.  相似文献

High spin states of128Ba have been investigated by means of the OSIRISγ-spectrometer with 6 asymmetric anti-compton shields and one additional germanium detector. The110Pd(22Ne, 4n) reaction was used at 96 MeV. Several new high spin states and a new band have been established. The onset of the ph 11 2/2 nh 11 2/2 4 quasiparticle band has possibly been found.  相似文献

We report on the measurement of lifetimes and magnetic moments of yrast states in136Nd. Lifetimes in the 5–100 ps range were measured via the recoil distance Doppler shift method applied to the110Pd(30Si, 4n) reaction at 121 MeV beam energy. Magnetic moments were deduced from the integral Larmor precessions measured after recoil implantation into a magnetized nickel foil (IMPAC), via the76Ge(64Ni, 4n) reaction. The measured g factors g(12+)=g(10+)= +1.03(24) clearly indicate h11/2 proton alignment.  相似文献

The mean lifetimes of the lower spin states of the superdeformed band in133Nd have been measured with the coincidence recoil distance method. The reaction used to populate the band was105Pd (32S, 2p2n)133Nd at a beam energy of 152 MeV, and the gamma-rays were detected with the POLYTESSA array. The differential decay curve method was used to analyse the data and transition quadrupole moments,Q 0, were extracted from the measured lifetimes. The results obtained from the three lowest transitions in the superdeformed band are:Q 0=6.3±0.9 eb (21+/2→17+/2),Q 0=6.7±1.1 eb (25+/2→21+/2) andQ 0>5.0 eb (29+/2→25+/2). These results are consistent with previous results for the high spin members of the band, and are compared to theoretical calculations of total routhian surfaces. The calculation of reduced transition probabilities for the transitions that feed out of the band, allows the effect of hindrance due to K-forbiddenness to be investigated.  相似文献

The angular correlation between two alpha particles evaporated from the compound nucleus is sensitive to the initial spin population, and can thus be used to test the possible existence of angular momentum windows in the fusion cross section. A model calculation performed for the 28Si + 28Si fusion reaction at Ecm = 60 MeV is used as an illustration.  相似文献

High spin states in123,124I were populated via the116Cd(11B,xn) reaction at 38 MeV bombarding energy and via the110Pd(18O,pxn) reaction at 75 MeV energy. γ-ray energies, intensities, γγ coincidences and DCO ratios were measured with the GASP spectrometer. The level schemes were extended considerably. Band terminations were observed in both nuclei. In123I the rotational band, which is built on the πh 11/2 single-particle state was extended to spinI π=(35/2)?; at higher spin the level spacings and the feeding pattern were found to become irregular, indicating a structure change. The (39/2)? state and the higher-lying (43/2)? level were interpreted as aligned oblate states. In124I a decoupled band was found to terminate in the same spin region. Total Routhian surface calculations were performed which support the occurrence of a band termination.  相似文献

The97Pd nucleus has been studied from the reaction96Ru(3He, 2n)97Pd. From in and out beam directγ-spectra andγ-γ coincidences a partial level scheme is proposed. The observed high spin states can be explained by the coupling of the even proton core with the d5/2 51st neutron.  相似文献

γ-ray and γγ-coincidence spectra of the 110Cd(p, nγ)110In reaction were measured with Ge(Li), Ge(LEPS), and Ge(HP) spectrometers at 6 MeV bombarding proton energy. Energies (Eγ) and relative intensities (Iγ) of 95 110In transitions (including 70 new ones) have been determined. The electron spectrum of the reaction was measured with a combined magnetic plus Si(Li) spectrometer at Ep = 6 MeV. Internal conversion coefficients of 41 transitions in 110In have been determined for the first time. The angular distribution of γ-rays was measured at 5.2, 5.6, and 6 MeV bombarding proton energies. A new, more complete level scheme of 110In has been deduced. On the basis of the internal conversion coefficients of transitions, Hauser-Feshbach analysis of (p, n) reaction cross sections, γ-ray angular distribution (and other) results unambiguous spin and parity assignments were made to 11 excited 110In levels. The energies of several 110In proton-neutron multiplets were calculated on the basis of the parabolic rule derived from the cluster-vibration model. The comparison of experimental and theoretical results provided identification of about 20 p-n multiplet states in 110In.  相似文献

The excitation functions of the29Si(d, p)30Si reaction in the deuteron energy range of 1·1–2·1 MeV have been measured in steps of 9.3 keV at angles 40°, 60°, 90°, 100°, 110°, 130° and 150° for the following groups of protons: po (g.s. of the30Si nucleus), p1 (2·23 MeV), p2 (3·51 MeV), p3,4 (3·77 and 3·79 MeV), p5,6 (4·81 and 4·83 MeV), p10 (5·48 MeV) and pn (5.61 MeV). Within the framework of Ericson's theory of statistical fluctuations the autocorrelations, cross-angle correlations and cross-group correlations have been calculated and the mean coherence width of the31P compound nucleus has been deduced to be 27 keV.The authors would like to express their thanks to K. Lifetimes have been determined using the Doppler Shift Attenuation Method in the N ≈ Z nuclei 46V and 48V, populated with the reaction 28Si on 24Mg at 115 MeV and 24Mg on 28Si at 100 MeV using Au and Pb backed targets. The coexistence of spherical and deformed states in the middle of the 1f7/2 shell is discussed. The B(E2) and B(M1) reduced rates agree very well with large scale shell model predictions.  相似文献

The nucleus 193Pb was populated via the 168Er(30Si,5n) reaction at a beam energy of 159 MeV and studied with the EUROGAM II spectrometer. Five new dipole Δ I = 1 cascades have been found. These structures have been connected to the level scheme which has been considerably extended up to a spin of ? and an excitation energy of about 8 MeV. Angular distribution coefficients, a2, have been measured and confirm the dipole character of the in-band transitions. B(M1)/B(E2) ratios have been extracted for the two most intense cascades. The 193Pb dipole bands are discussed in comparison with those known in odd lead isotopic series and the structure of the band heads is analyzed in terms of microscopic HF+BCS calculations. The proposed configurations are based on a high-K two quasiproton excitation, π ([505]9/2t? ? [606]13/2+)K=11t -, coupled to one or three rotation aligned quasineutrons involving the i13/2, p 3/2, f5/2 and/or h{9/2} subshells. The main difference, compared with the heavier lead isotopes, is the presence of large Ω orbitals from the ν (i13/2) shell near the Fermi surface which are responsible for the increasing band-head spin as A decreases.  相似文献

A study of low-lying 2+ states by proton and deuteron inelastic scattering from 104Pd, 110Pd, 112Cd, 146Nd, 150Nd and 150Sm is described. Evidence of neutron components in the excitation of 2+ states lying between 2.2 and 3.0 MeV in Pd and Cd isotopes has been obtained. This result is consistent with the predictions of the IBM-2 model for mixed-symmetry states.  相似文献

The excited states of 14260Nd82 have been studied using the 140Ce(α, 2nγ)142Nd and 142Ce(α, 4γ)142Nd reactions. Singles γ-ray, γ-γ coincidence spectra and angular distributions of γ-rays with respect to the beam direction have been measured. Excited states up to 6.7 MeV with spin values up to 14 are populated. The energy spacings between the lower excited states with spin values up to 8 are similar to those found in the lighter N = 82, even-Z isotones. The majority of the observed states with spin values up to 10 can be explained as two-quasiparticle states. Several of the highest-spin states can be explained qualitatively as fourquasiparticle states. Strong population of the highest excited states (at about 5.7 MeV) is noted, like in other N = 82 isotones. The observed levels in 142Nd are compared with the shell model predictions using a simple δ-force interaction between two nucleons.  相似文献

The low-lying states of 143Nd and 154Nd have been studied by means of Coulomb excitation with 16O and α-particles. Angular distribution measurements were carried out for some transitions in 145Nd with 11.2 MeV α-particles. Level energy decay schemes and B(E2)↑ values were measured for two states in 143Nd and for six states in 145Nd. Some spin assignments have been established for the 145Nd nucleus. 143Nd and 145Nd have been theoretically described by coupling one and three particles, respectively, to quadrupole vibrations, and rather good agreement with experiment was achieved.  相似文献

The26Mg(α,nγ) reaction has been used in connection with a neutron time-of-flight spectrometer to search for high spin states in29Si betweenE x =8.4 and 11.4 MeV. The decay scheme of112Cd has been studied by γ-ray spectroscopy with the110Pd(α, 2nγ) reaction. Spin and parity assignments were made on the basis of coincidence measurements, angular distributions and excitation functions. Twelve new energy levels were established. A vibrational-like positive-parity band up to spin 8+ and a negativeparity side band 5?, (7?), (9?) were found. For the negative-parity states a (vj, vh11/2) configuration is suggested. The neutron deficient 199At nucleus has been studied in the 175Lu+28Si reaction at Eb= 141 MeV. In order to select events of interest in the presence of the very strong background caused by fission, γ-rays have been detected in coincidence with recoiling evaporation residues. Fusion cross sections for the reaction 40Ar + 110Pd have been measured in the bombarding energy range 164–262 MeV. Evaporation residues and fission fragments have been detected by ΔE-E telescopes. We compare the fusion cross sections to various theoretical models with special attention to the high-energy data. An analysis is also given for entrance-channel spin zones for evaporation residues and fission.  相似文献

High spin states of118Xe have been investigated by means of γ ray spectroscopy using the92Mo(29Si,2pn) at a bombarding energy of 110 MeV. Several new side bands as well as the yrast band were established. A band crossing between the ground state and super bands was observed at ?ωc = 0.39 MeV. The angular dependence of the differential cross sections for alpha-particle scattering on 28Si nuclei and double-differential cross sections for the reaction 28Si(α, αγ)28Si at E α = 30.3 MeV is measured for the case of alpha-particle emission angle between 20° and 160° and the excitation of low-lying states of the 28Si nucleus (0+, ground state; 2+ state at 1.78 MeV; 4+ state at 4.62 MeV; 0+ state at 4.96 MeV; and 3? + 4+, 6.88 MeV + 6.89 MeV). The spin-tensor components of the density matrix for the 2+ state at 1.78 MeV and the 4+ state at 4.62 MeV in the 28Si* nucleus are reconstructed in a modelindependent way. Seven rank-6 components are reconstructed for the 3? state at 6.88 MeV. Orientation features of 28Si* are determined. The experimental data in question are compared with the results of the calculations performed under the assumption of the collective-excitation mechanism and by the coupled-channel method.  相似文献
