本文探讨了一种新的激波-非定常边界层相互干扰现象,这种激波-边界层干扰现象既不同于定常激波-边界层干扰现象,又不同于激波在端面反射后与该激波所诱导的边界层之间的干扰现象,而是运动激波与稀疏波和第一激波所诱导的非这常边界层之间的干扰现象,本文对这种现象用微波动力学理论进行分析,并把这种干扰现象看成激波的绕射现象,同时在稀疏波破膜的双驱动激波管中进行实验观察,最后把理论分析与实验观察进行了比较。  相似文献

The interaction of weak shock waves with porous barriers of different geometries and porosities is examined. Installing a barrier inside the shock tube test section will cause the development of the following wave pattern upon a head-on collision between the incident shock wave and the barrier: a reflected shock from the barrier and a transmitted shock propagating towards the shock tube end wall. Once the transmitted shock wave reaches the end wall it is reflected back towards the barrier. This is the beginning of multiple reflections between the barrier and the end wall. This full cycle of shock reflections/interactions resulting from the incident shock wave collision with the barrier can be studied in a single shock tube test. A one-dimensional (1D), inviscid flow model was proposed for simulating the flow resulting from the initial collision of the incident shock wave with the barrier. Fairly good agreement is found between experimental findings and simulations based on a 1D flow model. Based on obtained numerical and experimental findings an optimal design procedure for shock wave attenuator is suggested. The suggested attenuator may ensure the safety of the shelter’s ventilation systems.  相似文献

In this study, a fracture evaluation of a ceramic spherical dome port under shock impact has been presented. The experiments were carried out with a shock tube device capable to produce a normal shock. The pressure behind the normal and reflected shock wave was predicted by analytic equations based on initial conditions. The pressures were measured by embedded dynamic pressure sensors. The fracture of specimen was occurred by the pressure behind the reflected shock wave. The pressure distribution in shock tube was obtained during 0 to 5 ms. Simultaneously, the distributions of the pressure, temperature and velocity were calculated in the shock tube at 3 ms after diaphragm burst for various thickness of dome port. The results of numerical analysis and analytic solutions were good agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

运用激波管技术研究了激波从管口喷出和在林带中传播这两个基本问题。给出了三方面的结果 :揭示了激波从管口喷出时的复杂流场 ,显示了主激波弯曲和衰减 ,二次激波的形成和合拢 ,涡环的长大和发展 ,以及涡环前缘出现正激波等基本物理现象 ;显示了激波在林带中的传播过程 ,取得了激波遇林地的反射 ,马赫杆形成 ,激波与林冠的相遇 ,林冠对涡环的阻滞效应等纹影照片 ;沿激波在林地的传播方向测量了地面压力 ,证实林带有明显的消波效应。  相似文献

A new method for decreasing the attenuation of a shock wave emerging from an open-ended shock tube exit into a large free space has been developed to improve the shock wave technique for cleaning deposits on the surfaces in industrial equipments by changing the tube exit geometry. Three tube exits (the simple tube exit, a tube exit with ring and a coaxial tube exit) were used to study the propagation processes of the shock waves. The detailed flow features were experimentally investigated by use of a two-dimensional color schlieren method and by pressure measurements. By comparing the results for different tube exits, it is shown that the expansion of the shock waves near the mouth can be restricted by using the tube exit with ring or the coaxial tube exit. Thus, the attenuation of the shock waves is reduced. The time histories of overpressure have illustrated that the best results are obtained for the coaxial tube exit. But the pressure signals for the tube exit with ring showed comparable results with the advantage of a relatively simple geometry. The flow structures of diffracting shock waves have also been simulated by using an upwind finite volume scheme based on a high order extension of Godunov's method as well as an adaptive unstructured triangular mesh refinement/unrefinement algorithm. A shock tube investigation of two hydrodynamic issues related to inertial confinement fusion (ICF) is undertaken. ICF is a promising source of energy for the future. There has been a considerable increase in the interest in ICF with the development of the National Ignition Facility (NIF). However, much remains to be investigated before a useful yield is obtained from a fusion reaction for power generation. The physics involved in carrying out a fusion reaction combines hydrodynamics, plasma physics and radiation effects superimposed on each other, at extremely small scales, making the problem very complex. One such phenomenon occurring in the deuterium-tritium pellet implosion is the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability occuring at each layer of the fuel which results in the mixing of the ablator with the fuel. This causes dilution of the fuel and reduces the yield of the reaction. Another issue is the impulsive loading of ICF reactor cooling tubes due to the shock wave produced as a result of the fusion reaction. These tubes must withstand the impulse of the shock wave. A shock tube provides an ideal environment to study these issues at large geometric scales with the isolation of hydrodynamics from other effects. A new vertical, square shock tube has been designed specifically for the purpose of studying these fluid flow phenomena from a fundamental point of view. The shock tube is vertical, with a large square inner cross-section and is designed to allow for the release of a shock into air at atmospheric pressure. In this paper, we describe the new shock tube and related instrumentation in detail and present a few preliminary results on the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability and shock-cylinder interactions. Results from an experimental investigation of the interaction of a “non-ideal” shock wave and a single obstacle are reported. The shock wave is produced ahead of an accelerated flame in a 14 cm inner-diameter tube partially filled with orifice plates. The shock wave interacts with a single larger blockage orifice plate placed 15–45 cm after the last orifice plate in the flame acceleration section of the tube. Experiments were performed with stoichiometric ethylene–oxygen mixtures with varying amounts of nitrogen dilution at atmospheric pressure and temperature. The critical nitrogen dilution was found for detonation initiation. It is shown that detonation initiation occurs if the chemical induction time based on the reflected shock state is shorter than the time required for an acoustic wave to traverse the orifice plate upstream surface, from the inner to the outer diameter. The similarity between the present results and those obtained from previous investigators looking at detonation initiation by ideal shock reflection produced in a shock tube indicates that the phenomenon is not sensitive to the detailed structure of the shock front but only on the average shock strength.This paper is based on work that was presented at the 20th International Colloquium on the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems, Montreal, Canada, July 31–August 5, 2005.  相似文献

锥形水中爆炸激波管是进行水中爆炸实验的一种装置,该装置能够通过较小装药量在相同距离处实现自由场水中较大装药量爆炸的冲击波峰值。为了获得柱形装药条件下锥形水中爆炸激波管内的冲击波特性,本文通过数值计算的方式,对不同圆锥角和不同柱形装药质量下锥形激波管内的冲击波传播过程进行了模拟,通过对不同工况下激波管内冲击波特性进行分析,发现其初始冲击波的衰减规律符合自由场水中的指数衰减形式,并拟合得到了与自由场水中爆炸相容的冲击波峰值、比冲量和能流密度经验公式;发现其二次脉动压力周期与炸药质量呈反常规的变化规律,并引入等效静水压深度解释了这一现象;发现其二次脉动压力幅值与初始冲击波幅值之比比自由场水中更大,而二次脉动压力的比冲量与初始冲击波冲量之比与自由场水中相当。  相似文献

In this paper, a new double diaphragm shock tube facility for studying the structural response of a circular plate resting on soil, when subjected to a shock wave, is described. The present shock tube has been designed in the framework of a more extensive research program aimed at the investigation of underground tunnel lining under blast and fire conditions. The innovative features of the facility are an end-chamber conceived to investigate soil-structure interaction and a burner equipment to heat the specimen in order to study to what extent thermal damage can affect the transmitted and reflected pressure wave as well as the structural response. Details of the shock tube design, construction and test procedure operations are discussed in the paper. Particular emphasis is placed on the principles that have driven the experimental equipment design choices. Numerical simulations have been performed to assess the ideal shock tube performance in terms of reflected pressure and test time duration as well as to evaluate how far the fire testing situation actually is from that normally used in tunnel design.  相似文献

Micro shock tube flows were simulated using unsteady 2D Navier–Stokes equations combined with boundary slip velocities and temperature jumps conditions. These simulations were performed using the parallel version of a multi-block finite-volume home code. Different initial low pressures and shock tube diameters allow to have the scaling ratio ReD/4L vary. The numerical results show a strong attenuation of the shock wave strength with a decrease of the hot flow values along the tube. When the scaling ratio decreases the shock waves can transform into compression waves. Comparison to the existing 1D models also shows the limit of these models.  相似文献

The equations governing the head-on collision of a planar shock wave with a cellular material and a numerical scheme for solving the set of the governing equations were outlined. In addition, the condition for the transmitted compression waves to transform into a shock wave, inside the cellular material was introduced. It was proved analytically that a cellular material cannot be used as a means of reducing the pressure load acting on the end-wall of the shock tube. In subsequent papers, the interaction of planar shock waves with specific cellular materials, e.g., foams and honeycombs will be described in detail.This article was processed using Springer-Verlag TEX Shock Waves macro package 1.0 and the AMS fonts, developed by the American Mathematical Society.  相似文献

The experimental data and the results of direct numerical simulation of the flow developed in a constant-cross-section tube in passage of a shock wave through a three-layer gas system are presented. The three-layer systemis formed as a result ofmounting two thin films in the tube and filling the space between them with gases of different densities. The first interface (thin film) makes an angle of 45? with the shock front and the second interface is located in parallel to the front. The shock wave is formed at the left tube end and moves towards the first interface at the Mach number M = 2.4. The results of simulation of the problem are compared with the experimental data.  相似文献

Focusing of strong shock waves in a gas-filled thin convergence chamber with various forms of the reflector boundary is investigated experimentally and numerically. The convergence chamber is mounted at the end of the horizontal co-axial shock tube. The construction of the convergence chamber allows the assembly of the outer chamber boundaries of various shapes. Boundaries with three different shapes have been used in the present investigation—a circle, an octagon and a smooth pentagon. The shock tube in the current study was able to produce annular shocks with the initial Mach number in the range M s = 2.3 − 3.6. The influence of the shape of the boundary on the shape and properties of the converging and reflected shock waves in the chamber has then been investigated both experimentally and numerically. It was found that the form of the converging shock is initially governed by the shape of the reflector and the nonlinear interaction between the shape of the shock and velocity of shock propagation. Very close to the center of convergence the shock obtains a square-like form in case of a circular and octagonal reflector boundary. This is believed to stem from the instability of the converging shock front triggered by the disturbances in the flow field. The outgoing, reflected shocks were also observed to be influenced by the shape of the boundary through the flow ahead as created by the converging shocks.  相似文献

利用激波管对激波诱导气流与液幕、液柱的相互作用进行了实验研究。通过比较发现,这种相互作用下的液体块变形破碎过程与以往对于液滴进行的研究结果很不相同。当激波与液幕相互作用时,阴影照片和直接照相都表明,液幕的变形破碎行为有很强的三维性,较之液滴的变形破坏机理更为复杂,并且在局部区域,初始时刻液幕破碎抛撒的速度相较激波诱导气流速度为快,本文应用一维变截面激波管理论对这一现象进行了理论分析。  相似文献

An aircraft travelling at supersonic speeds close to the ground generates a bow wave which is reflected off the ground surface. If a valley is traversed a complex reflection pattern will be generated. Similar patterns will evolve with a plane wave traversing a depression on a surface or structure. To simulate the process a planar shock wave, generated in a shock tube, is moved over several notched wedge configurations. Schlieren photographs were produced to assist in identifying the resulting complex three-dimensional wave structures and then verified and extended by three- dimensional computations. The valley geometries investigated are rectangular, triangular, parabolic and conical with a number of valley floor inclinations. The main features are extracted in surface models to demonstrate the complexity of the flow, and in particular in the case where the reflection is regular on the ground plane and Mach reflection in the valley.   相似文献

A tailored interface shock tube and an over-tailored interface shock tube were used to measure the thermal energy radiated during diesel-spray combustion of light oil, α-methylnaphthalene and cetane by changing the injection pressure. The ignition delay of methanol and the thermal radiation were also measured. Experiments were performed in a steel shock tube with a 7 m low-pressure section filled with air and a 6 m high-pressure section. Pre-compressed fuel was injected through a throttle nozzle into air behind a reflected shock wave. Monochromatic emissive power and the power emitted across all infrared wavelengths were measured with IR-detectors set along the central axis of the tube. Time-dependent radii where soot particles radiated were also determined, and the results were as follows. For diesel spray combustion with high injection pressures (from 10 to 80 MPa), the thermal radiation energy of light oil per injection increased with injection pressure from 10 to 30 MPa. The energy was about 2% of the heat of combustion of light oil at P inj = about 30 MPa. At injection pressure above 30 MPa the thermal radiation decreased with increasing injection pressure. This profile agreed well with the combustion duration, the flame length, the maximum amount of soot in the flame, the time-integrated soot volume and the time-integrated flame volume. The ignition delay of light oil was observed to decrease monotonically with increasing fuel injection pressure. For diesel spray combustion of methanol, the thermal radiation including that due to the gas phase was 1% of the combustion heat at maximum, and usually lower than 1%. The thermal radiation due to soot was lower than 0.05% of the combustion heat. The ignition delays were larger (about 50%) than those of light oil. However, these differences were within experimental error.

The normal reflection of a plane shock, propagating in carbon dioxide at the Mach number 3.7, from the end of a cavity with a rectangular cross-section is experimentally investigated in a shock tube. The flow is visualized using the Cranz-Schardin system. Streak photographs and shadowgraphs of the time-dependent interaction of the reflected shock with the boundary layer under separation conditions with three-shock system formation are presented. On the basis of the experimental results the process of time variation of the flow pattern is described, the triple point trajectories are determined, and their distinctive features for the case of coalescence of the bifurcation zones, formed at opposite sides of the cavity, are discussed.  相似文献
