We study monomial curves, toric ideals and monomial algebras associated to 4-generated pseudo symmetric numerical semigroups. Namely, we determine indispensable binomials of these toric ideals, give a characterization for these monomial algebras to have strongly indispensable minimal graded free resolutions. We also characterize when the tangent cones of these monomial curves at the origin are Cohen–Macaulay.  相似文献

We study the set of Cohen-Macaulay monomial ideals with a given radical. Among this set of ideals are the so-called Cohen-Macaulay modifications. Not all Cohen-Macaulay squarefree monomial ideals admit nontrivial Cohen-Macaulay modifications. It is shown that if there exists one such modification, then there exist indeed infinitely many.  相似文献

We study arithmetic properties of tangent cones associated to large families of monomial curves obtained by gluing. In particular, we characterize their Cohen-Macaulay and Gorenstein properties and prove that they have non-decreasing Hilbert functions. The results come from a careful analysis of some special Apéry sets of the numerical semigroups obtained by gluing under a condition that we call specific gluing. As a consequence, we complete and extend the results proved by Arslan et al. (in Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 137:2225–2232, 2009) about nice gluings by using different techniques. Our results also allow to prove that for a given numerical semigroup with a non-decreasing Hilbert function and an integer q>1, all extensions of it by q, except a finite number, have non-decreasing Hibert functions.  相似文献

We give several necessary criterions for C to be set theoretic complete intersection. Let C be a monomial curve in three dimensional projective space over a field of characteristic zero . We give a necessary criterion for a monomial curve to be set theoretic complete intersection on bihomogeneous surfaces. It is a conjecture due to M. E. Rossi that the Hilbert function of a one-dimensional Gorenstein local ring is non-decreasing. In this article, we show that the Hilbert function is non-decreasing for local Gorenstein rings with embedding dimension four associated to monomial curves, under some arithmetic assumptions on the generators of their defining ideals in the non-complete intersection case. In order to obtain this result, we determine the generators of their tangent cones explicitly by using standard basis computations under these arithmetic assumptions and show that the tangent cones are Cohen-Macaulay. In the complete intersection case, by characterizing certain families of complete intersection numerical semigroups, we give an inductive method to obtain large families of complete intersection local rings with arbitrary embedding dimension having non-decreasing Hilbert functions.

We prove a version of the Halphen Speciality Theorem for locally Cohen-Macaulay curves in . To prove the theorem, we strengthen some results of Okonek and Spindler on the spectrum of the ideal sheaf of a curve. In this paper we continue the investigation of Cohen–Macaulay projective monomial curves begun in [Les Reid, Leslie G. Roberts, Non-Cohen–Macaulay projective monomial curves, J. Algebra 291 (2005) 171–186]. In the process we introduce maximal curves. Cohen–Macaulay curves are maximal, but not conversely. We show that the number of all curves of degree d that are Cohen–Macaulay grows exponentially, but not as fast as the total number of curves, and also that maximal curves of degree d with sufficiently large embedding dimension relative to d are Cohen–Macaulay.  相似文献
