A starburst triphenylamine cored N-vinyl carbazole (V-Cz) branched compound was designed and synthesized via optimized Heck reaction in a yield of 40-60%.Moderate yield came from decomposition of V-Cz and self-coupling of triiodo-triphenylamine. TCz-TPA adopts a highly twisted propeller conformation by molecular mechanical optimization.It is readily soluble for its highly twisted conformation.Transparent and pinhole free films could be easily fabricated by spin-coating for its starburst structure.It emits blue-greenish light in CH_2Cl_2 peaked at 460 nm with a narrow full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 65 nm.As compared, the absorption peaks of the spin-coated film blue shifted and emission peak red shifted to 510 nm with a FWHM of 96 nm.  相似文献

Two novel organic hole-transporting materials have been synthesized by combination of triphenylamines(TPA) viaπ-conjugated bonds using Wittig reaction.The structures were characterized by NMR,FT-IR and HRMS.The optical,electrochemical and thermal properties of the materials were studied in detail.The results show that these two compounds have blue emission,proper HOMO levels and high thermal stability.Furthermore,a quantum chemical calculation on electron distribution of the two compounds was performed, which suggests the current synthesized materials would be promising candidates for hole-transporting materials.  相似文献

A series of peripheral o-dimethoxy-substituted pentiptycene quinones and their o-quinone derivatives have been synthesized. Especially, it was found that if two o-dimethoxybenzene moieties were situated at the same side of the pentiptycene quinones, one of them was only oxidized by excess CAN in aqueous acetonitrile. Moreover, the pentiptycene quinones with unique 3D rigid structure could all self-assemble into a 3D microporous structure in the solid state. For the pentiptycene quinones containing the dimethoxybenzene unit(s) and the quinone group(s) simultaneously, interesting intramolecular charge transfer interactions and electrochemical properties were also shown. These peripheral-substituted pentiptycene quinones and their o-quinone derivatives can be used as new useful building blocks and will find wide applications in material science and host-guest chemistry.  相似文献

The bismaleimide (BMI) monomer containing triphenylamine was prepared firstly. Then BMI was reacted with different diamines by Michael addition to obtain prepolymers, respectively. Finally, polyimides (PIs) were obtained through melting procedure. The effects of the structure of BMI moiety and thermal curing condition on thermal stability of PIs were studied by thermogravimetric analysis. PIs have excellent processing properties for film casting. Cyclic voltammetry of PI films was carried out on an indium-doped tin oxide-coated glass substrate. Results which exhibit two reversible oxidations at 0.71–0.78 and 1.06–1.16 V vs Ag/AgCl. The electrochromic performance was investigated by spectroelectrochemical methods. These anodically coloring polymer films not only showed good electrochromic properties but also exhibited high optical contrast ratio of transmittance with a color changing from yellow to green. After 100 cyclic switches, the polymer films still retained excellent redox and electrochromic activity.  相似文献

Five novel near-infrared electrochromic aromatic polyimides(PIs) with pendent benzimidazole group were synthesized from 4,4'-diamino-4'-(1-benzylbenzimidazol-2-yl)triphenylamine(named as DBBT) with five different dianhydrides via two-step polymerization process, respectively. The maximum UV-Vis absorption bands of these PIs locate at about 335 nm for solid films due to the π-π* transitions. A reversible pair of distinct redox peaks, that were associated with a noticeable color change from original yellow to blue, was observed in the cyclic voltammetry(CV) test. A new absorption peak emerged at 847 nm in near-infrared(NIR) region with increasing voltage in UV-Vis-NIR spectrum, which indicates that PI can be used as NIR electrochromic material. These novel PIs have good electrochemical stability, appropriate energy levels for the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO), in the range of-5.17 e V to-5.20 e V and-2.14 e V to-2.26 e V(versus the vacuum level) determined by cyclic voltammetry method. These values basically consisted with the results of quantum chemical calculation. These polyimides can be used as novel electrochromic and hole transportation materials.  相似文献

Design and synthesis of cholesterol based disk-like liquid crystalline compounds using triphenylamine as a core moiety have been achieved by Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction. The newly synthesized compounds exhibit a cholesteric phase with fingerprint texture as well as oily texture. In the low temperature region, there is a signature of smectic B with characteristic dendritic and mosaic textures. The mesogenic properties were characterized by polarizing microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and HRXRD studies.  相似文献

A series of light‐emitting poly(p‐phenylene vinylene)s with triphenylamine units as hole‐transporting moieties in the main chain were synthesized via Wittig condensation in good yields. The newly formed vinylene double bonds possessed a trans configuration, which was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared and NMR spectroscopy. The high glass‐transition temperature (83–155 °C) and high decomposition temperature (>300 °C) suggested that the resulting copolymers possessed high thermal stability. These copolymers, especially TAAPV1, possessed a high weight‐average molecular weight (47,144) and a low polydispersity index (1.55). All the copolymers could be dissolved in common organic solvents, such as tetrahydrofuran (THF), CHCl3, CH2Cl2, and toluene, and exhibited intense photoluminescence in THF (the emission maxima were located from 478 to 535 nm) and in film (from 478 to 578 nm). The low onsets of the oxidation potential (0.6–0.75 V) suggested that the alternating copolymers possessed a good hole‐transporting property due to the incorporation of triphenylamine moieties. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A novel aryl‐bridged triphenylamine derivative, 7‐t‐butyl‐5,5,9,9‐tetraaryl‐13b‐aza‐naphtho[3,2,1‐de]anthracene (ABTPA) was designed and synthesized. The alternating copolymers of ABTPA/dihexylfluorene ( P1 ) and triphenylamine (TPA)/dihexylfluorene ( P2 ) were synthesized by Suzuki coupling reaction. P1 shows excellent thermal stability with a decomposition temperature of 440 °C and a glass‐transition temperature of 326 °C. The HOMO energy levels of the two polymers are very close (?5.15 eV for P1 and ?5.13 eV for P2 ). The maximum absorption peak of P1 is red shifted by 23 nm with respect to P2 , because the incorporation of ABTPA units into the PF backbone enhances the electronic conjugation degree compared with the case of TPA units. The rigidity and the steric hindrance of the ABTPA in P1 result in a small Stokes shift and almost the same emission spectra of P1 between its film and solution. A PLED with simple configurations of ITO/ P1 /TNS (tetranaphthalen‐2‐yl‐silane)/Alq3 (tris(8‐hydroxyquinolinolato)aluminum)/Al emits a blue light with emission peak at 436 nm, and exhibits a maximum current efficiency of 1.89 cd/A and a maximum luminance of 4183 cd/m2, which is superior to the device with P2 as emissive layer under the identical conditions. These results indicate that ABTPA unit could be a very promising candidate to replace TPA unit and find widely application in organic/polymeric optoelectronic materials. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Novel luminescent polymers ( P1 and P2 ) carrying alternate phenothiazine and divinylbenzene units were synthesized via the Wittig reaction. Absorption, fluorescence, and cyclic voltammetric methods were applied to investigate their optical and electrochemical properties. The photoluminescence (PL) maxima of P1 and P2 were 559 and 568 nm, respectively. Compared with reported hole‐transport groups such as carbazole, alkyldiphenylamine, triphenylamine, and iminodibenzyl chromophores, phenothiazine moieties in P1 and P2 bathochromically shift the PL maxima and narrow the band gaps. Their relative PL efficiencies were about 0.5 and 0.3 in solution and in the film state, respectively. Moreover, highest occupied molecular orbitals of P1 (4.78 eV) and P2 (4.74 eV) were even higher than the work function of ITO electrode (4.8 eV). The threshold electric fields of the Al/ P1 (or P2 )/ITO device were about 1.52–1.63 · 106 V/cm, which were smaller than 1.73 · 106 V/cm of P3 , consisting of alternate iminodibenzyl and divinylbenzene units. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Stille coupling reactions of bis(stannylphenyl- and stannylthienyl)silane with dibromonaphthalene and bis(bromothienyl)anthracene gave the corresponding polymers containing naphthylene or anthrylene units in the backbone. Applications of the polymers to electroluminescent (EL) devices were examined and it was found that the diphenyleneanthrylene-containing polymer can be used as a good hole-transporting material in a double-layered EL device.  相似文献

We have synthesized novel σ–π conjugated polymers with N,N‐bis(p‐ethynylphenyl)‐N‐(p‐tolyl)amine as the π‐unit. The electroluminescent devices, with a double‐layer system composed of Alq and the present polymers as the emitting‐electron‐transporting and hole‐transporting layers respectively, emit green electroluminescence with a maximum intensity of 760 cd m?2. Novel conjugated polyfluorene copolymers, poly[9,9‐dihexylfluorene‐2,7‐diyl‐co‐(2,5‐bis(4′‐diphenylaminostyryl)‐phenylene‐1,4‐diyl)]s (PGs), have been synthesized by nickel(0)‐mediated polymerization from 2,7‐dibromo‐9,9‐dihexylfluorene and 1,4′‐dibromo‐2,5‐bis(4‐diphenylaminostyryl)benzene with various molar ratios of the monomers. Because of the incorporation of triphenylamine (TPA) moieties, PGs exhibit much higher HOMO levels than the corresponding polyfluorene homopolymers and are able to facilitate hole injection into the polymer layer from the anode electrode in light‐emitting diodes. Conventional polymeric light‐emitting devices with the configuration ITO/PEDOT:PSS/polymer/Ca/Al have been fabricated. A light‐emitting device produced with one of the PG copolymers (PG10) as the emitting layer exhibited a voltage‐independent and stable bluish‐green emission with color coordinates of (0.22, 0.42) at 5 V. The maximum brightness and current efficiency of the PG10 device were 3370 cd/m2 (at 9.6 V) and 0.6 cd/A, respectively. To realize a white polymeric light‐emitting diode, PG10 as the host material was blended with 1.0 wt % of a red‐light‐emitting polymer, poly[9,9‐dioctylfluorene‐2,7‐diyl‐alt‐2,5‐bis(2‐thienyl‐2‐cyanovinyl)‐1‐(2′‐ethylhexyloxy)‐4‐methoxybenzene‐5′,5′‐diyl] (PFR4‐S), and poly[2‐methoxy‐5‐(2′‐ethylhexyloxy)‐1,4‐phenylenevinylene] (MEH‐PPV). The device based on PG10:PFR4‐S showed an almost perfect pure white electroluminescence emission, with Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.33, 0.36) at 8 V; for the PG10:MEH‐PPV device, the CIE coordinates at this voltage were (0.30, 0.40) with a maximum brightness of 1930 cd/m2. Moreover, the white‐light emission from the PG10:PFR4‐S device was stable even at different driving voltages and had CIE coordinates of (0.34, 0.36) at 6 V and (0.31, 0.35) at 10 V. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of triarylamines based on dehydroabietic acid methyl ester moieties (6ah) were synthesized for possible application as hole transporting materials for organic electroluminescent devices. The target compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR, and mass spectrometry. Their optical, electrochemical, and thermal properties were investigated using UV–vis, PL spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively. CV measurements show that the compounds present suitable HOMO values (in a range of −4.63 to −5.11 eV) for hole injection, which is confirmed by theoretical calculations. All compounds were thermally stable. Organic light-emitting diode devices having 6f, 6g, and 6h as a hole transporting layer showed better performance of maximum brightness, turn-on voltage, and maximum luminous efficiency than a comparable device NPB. These compounds could be excellent candidates for applications in OLED devices.  相似文献

A convenient and efficient synthesis of 3,5-di(silylethynyl)phenylacetylene and p-[3,5-di(silylethynyl)phenylethynyl]phenylacetylene has been carried out. These compounds serve to prepare nanometer-sized conjugated 1,4- and 1,3,5-phenylethynyl oligomers, by means of cross-coupling with a convenient haloaryl derivative, catalysed by palladium(II), in excellent yields. The phenylethynyl homologues show fluorescence emission, the wavelength of which is displaced by approximately 20 nm by each phenylethynyl unit increasing the conjugate chain.  相似文献

The synthesis of new difunctional (i.e., light-emitting and hole-transporting) fluorophore molecules, 2,2′-difuryl-4,4′-(N,N,N′,N′-tetraphenyl)diaminobiphenyl and 5,5′-bis(4-N,N′-diphenylaminophenyl)-2,2′-bifuryl, which contain hole-transporting triphenylamino units, are reported. Nano conjugated thienylethenyl and thienylethynyl compounds with controlled structure and dimensions have been efficiently prepared, by heterocoupling reaction between 1,4-(thienylethynyl)phenylacetylene (or thienylethenyl)phenylacetylene and 2- or 2,5-dihalothiophene. Conjugated 1,4-di(2-thienylethynylphenyl)- (or 2-thienylethenylphenyl)-1,3-butadiyne were obtained by the homocoupling of the terminal acetylenes in excellent yield. The end-capped (N,N-dimethylaminophenyl)- and [3,5-di(trimethylsilylethynyl)-1-ethynyl]-2,5-di(phenylethynyl)nthiophene were obtained by the heterocoupling between the corresponding terminal acetylene and 2,5-di(iodo)thiophene, catalyzed by the bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium and cuprous iodide system in excellent yield.  相似文献

Two new non-fullerene acceptors based on perylene diimide with acetylenic bridges were designed and synthesized employing Stille and Sonogashira coupling reactions as the key steps. Their optical and electronic properties were explored by UV–VIS spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry, and energies of frontier molecular orbitals were estimated. Their preliminary studies in perovskite solar cells as electron transport materials showed the best power conversion efficiency for photocells of 14.18% value.  相似文献
