The fusion evaporation reaction 122Sn(14N, 4n)132La was used to populate the high-spin states of 132La at the beam energy of 60 MeV. A new band consisting of mostly E2 transitions has been discovered. This band has the interesting links to the ground state 2- and the isomeric state 6-. A new transition of energy 351 keV connecting the low-spin states of the positive-parity band based on the πh 11/2 ⊗ νh 11/2 particle configuration, has been found. This has played a very important role in resolving the existing ambiguities and inconsistencies in the spin assignment of the band head. Excited states in 182Os were populated by the β+/EC decay of 182Ir following mass separation. Gamma-ray and conversion electron spectroscopy techniques were employed. Monopole (E0) contributions were determined in transitions populating the ground-state band. A systematic study of the low-spin structures in the Os isotopes is presented and a detailed analysis in the framework of a microscopic configuration mixing approach is performed.  相似文献

The low-energy nuclear structure and decay properties of the neutron-deficient isotopes 195At and 191Bi have been studied. 195At was produced in the reaction 142Nd(56Fe,p2n)195At and 191Bi as the daughter activity of 195At. The activities were implanted in a position-sensitive silicon detector after being separated from the primary beam by a gas-filled recoil separator. The 1/2+ intruder state was determined to be the ground state in 195At with an alpha-decay energy of E α = 6953(3) keV and a half-life T 1/2 = 328(20) ms. Another state with an alpha-decay energy E α = 7075(4) keV and a half-life T 1/2 = 147(5) ms was found to decay to a 148.7(5) keV excited state in 191Bi for which a spin and parity of 7/2- were deduced. Consequently, the same 7/2- character was assigned to the initial state at 32(7) keV in 195At on the basis of unhindered alpha-decay. The 9/2- state, being the ground state in heavier odd-mass astatine isotopes, was not observed. Excited states in 187Re populated by inelastic scattering of a 500 MeV 82Se beam have been studied by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Levels built on the 5/2+[402] and 9/2-[514] one-quasiparticle states were measured up to I π = (21/2+) and (21/2-), respectively. In addition, several new levels including an isomer at 1682 keV with a half-life of 114(23) ns have been found. Quasiparticle configurations of the levels and the transition rates are discussed. An M3 transition in a doubly odd nucleus of 156Pm was identified by internal conversion electron measurement through the β-decay of 156Nd which was separated from the fission products of 235U using the on-line mass separator KUR-ISOL. The isomeric state at 150.3keV de-excites to the ground state with the M3 transition, and the spin-parity is considered to be 1-. Nilsson configurations are also discussed on the basis of the systematics.  相似文献

The two-neutrino double-beta decay of 124, 126Xe , 128, 130Te , 130, 132Ba and 150Nd isotopes is studied in the Projected Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (PHFB) model. Theoretical 2ν β-β- half-lives of 128, 130Te , and 150Nd isotopes, and 2ν β+β+ , 2ν β+ EC and 2ν ECEC for 124, 126Xe and 130, 132Ba nuclei are presented. Calculated quadrupolar transition probabilities B(E2 : 0+ → 2+) , static quadrupole moments and g -factors in the parent and daughter nuclei reproduce the experimental information, validating the reliability of the model wave functions. The anticorrelation between nuclear deformation and the nuclear transition matrix element M is confirmed.  相似文献

Recently the first excited state in 135Sb has been observed at the unexpectedly low excitation energy of only 282keV and interpreted as mainly d 5/2 proton coupled to the 134Sn core. Based on theoretical considerations it was suggested that its low excitation energy is related to a relative shift of the proton d 5/2 and g 7/2 orbits induced by the neutron excess. We have measured the lifetime of the 282keV state by the advanced time-delayed βγγ(t) method. The measured half-life, T 1/2 = 6.1(4)ns, yields exceptionally low limits of B(M1;5/21 +→7/21 +)≤3.0×10-4 μ 2 N and B(E2;5/21 +→7/21 +)≤54e 2 fm 4. These strongly hindered M1 and slow E2 transition rates are similar to those for the transition de-populating the first excited state at 405keV in 211Bi. Results of shell model calculations with realistic interactions are presented. The M1 decay rate was found to be extremely sensistive both to the wave function and to the M1 effective operator.  相似文献

A mechanism of triggering the 12.7keV E3 transition, based on the new decay mode of the 31y isomer via resonance internal conversion and emission of a 1.4keV X-ray quantum, is considered. Actually, this decay mode was observed previously in the decay of 45- and 46-fold ions of 125Te . For the purpose of triggering, the atomic radiative vertex has to be induced by resonance radiation. This mechanism makes triggering by an order of magnitude more efficient than triggering a bare nucleus, and is achieved at a lower combination frequency. An experiment is proposed for the direct observation of the new decay mode. This also offers a new way of resonance scattering of these X-rays. Triggering through higher-lying 2573 and 2805keV states is also considered. The results are extended to the general problem of triggering. The main obstacle for enhancing the efficiency is a high internal conversion rate. For this reason, shape isomers with low multipole order --E1 , M1 , and with a high enough energy of triggering transition are of interest for triggering. The partial ionization of the outer electrons will also help. The same recommendations hold for triggering isomers in laser-produced plasma.  相似文献

The decay of 95Ru has been investigated by means of γ-ray spectroscopy. The 95Ru nuclei were produced by the reaction 92Mo( α, n) 95Ru at a beam energy of 17MeV. High-purity Ge detectors have been used singly and in coincidence to study γ-rays in the decay of 95Ru to 95Tc. 132 γ-rays are reported, among them, energies and intensities for 127 transitions have been determined. A decay scheme of 95Ru with 31 levels is proposed which accommodates 127 of these transitions. Spins and parities for three new levels are proposed from calculated log ft values, measured γ-ray branching ratios, and in-beam experiment results of the daughter nucleus 95Tc. Combining with the high-spin states observed by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy of previous decay works, the structure of the excited states of 95Tc is discussed in the framework of the projected shell model.  相似文献

Excited states have been observed up to about 8 MeV excitation and spin 43/2. The observed level scheme is compared with results of shell model calculations. Excited states of 68Ga have been investigated through the 55Mn(16O, 2pn) reaction at projectile energy 55 MeV. The level scheme has been extended up to 7.8 MeV. Altogether six new excited levels could be identified and twelve previously unobserved γ-transitions have been placed in the modified level scheme. The Penning trap mass spectrometer JYFLTRAP, coupled to the Ion Guide Isotope Separator On-Line (IGISOL) facility at Jyv?skyl?, was employed to measure the atomic masses of neutron-rich 70-73Ni and 73, 75Cu isotopes with a typical accuracy less than 5keV. The mass of 73Ni was measured for the first time. Comparisons with the previous data are discussed. Two-neutron separation energies show a weak subshell closure at 68 28Ni40 . A well established proton shell gap is observed at Z = 28 .  相似文献

The decay of 2.76y 125Sb to levels of 125Te has been studied using an HPGe detector for gamma-ray and a mini orange electron spectrometer for conversion electron measurements. We identify 38 transitions in this decay, including 13 gamma rays and 4 conversion electron lines being reported for the first time. New results also include E1 multipolarity assignments to 3 newly observed transitions and M-shell conversion coefficient for the 109 keV M4 transition. A revised 125Te level scheme is constructed using Ritz combination principle. While confirming the existence of 10 well established levels below 700 keV excitation, we introduce 3 other levels at 402.0, 538.6 and 652.9 keV. Interpretation of the observed levels in terms of various theoretical approaches is briefly discussed. The newly introduced 538.6 keV (1/2+) and 652.9 keV (3/2+) levels are seen as the two missing members of the (s 1/2 ⊗ 2+) and (d 3/2 ⊗ 2+) sextuplet in the quasiparticle-phonon coupling scheme.  相似文献

The gamma ray and conversion electron spectra of the 22.5keV M1 + E2 nuclear transition depopulating the first excited level 5/2 in 149Sm were investigated in detail. A substantially improved value of 22500.2 ± 0.8 eV for the transition energy was determined that opens a possibility to establish an electron energy standard for the keV region based on the conversion electron lines of this transition. The E2 admixture parameter |δ(E2/M1)| = 0.0784 ± 0.0009 and the nuclear structure parameter λ = − 2 ± 10 were derived. The |δ(E2/M1)| and λ parameters were also obtained for all available experimental data and their mutual combination.  相似文献

The high-spin level structure of the 153Er nucleus has been reinvestigated by in-beam γ-ray and electron spectroscopy with (14N,pxn) reaction. Excitation energies, spin and parity assignments are unambiguously established for the two lowest isomers T 1/2≃ 380 ns and T1/2\simeq 10 ns. The characteristics of the third one (T 1/2≃ 250 ns) at 5.2 MeV are still questionable but its main decay modes are better known. An extension of the level scheme is proposed up to 8.4 MeV.Experimental results have been discussed in terms of shell model multiplets and compared with the other structures observed in N=85 neighbouring nuclei. Eight high-spin states in 36Ar below 10MeV excitation energy, among them a prospective J π = 8- state at 9408keV and the J? 8 levels of the recently discovered superdeformed rotational band, have been observed by n-γ coincidence measurements with the 33S(α, nγ) reaction at E α = 14.4 and 13.4MeV. High-spin assignments of, respectively, J π = 6+ and 5- were obtained for the E p = 1209 and 1462keV (E x = 9682 and 9927keV) resonances of the 35Cl (p,γ) reaction by a measurement of γ-ray angular distributions. The spectrum of the high-spin and of the E x? 7.4MeV levels is decomposed according to the underlying shell model configurations with n = 0, 1, 2, 4 particles excited from the N = 2 into the N = 3 major shell. The role of four-particle excitations, all connected with large prolate distortions, is elucidated for the entire A = 36-40 mass region. Received: 21 December 2001 / Accepted: 25 March 2002  相似文献

The β--decay of 151Pr produced by the thermal neutron-induced fission of 235U has been studied using an on-line isotope separator. From an internal-conversion electron measurement with a Si(Li) detector, K-conversion coefficients were obtained for 20 γ-transitions. Spins and parities of 6 excited levels in 151Nd were newly determined from the deduced multipolarities: even parities for the 543 and 627 keV levels, odd parities for 250 and 599 keV, (3/2, 5/2)+ for 685 keV, and (1/2, 3/2)+ for 880 keV. The level structure was compared with the rotation-vibration coupling Nilsson model. A new long-lived isomeric state in the near proton dripline nucleus 125Ce has been identified with Schottky mass spectrometry at GSI. The excitation energy E * = 103(12)keV and the decay time of 193(1)s have been obtained from a single stored fully ionized 125m Ce58+ ion. The data implies an E3 transition and a 1/2+ assignment for the spin of the isomer.  相似文献

Based on the γ -spectroscopic analysis of G.N. Sylvan et al., configuration-dependent cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky calculations have been performed. They describe the nucleus 77Kr globally in good agreement with the experimental findings and the expectations derived from single-particle orbitals in a deformed potential. Within these calculations, the unambiguous assignment of a configuration with three protons and five neutrons in the g 9/2 shell to the high-spin Yrast states of negative parity indicates that the nucleus 77Kr has stable triaxial deformation and rotates about the intermediate axis. This not only disproves the recent interpretation of an occupation of the d 5/2 orbital being responsible for the strong deformation in this band, but also represents one of the first examples in this mass region for such a rotation.  相似文献
