对于大功率激光单模光纤远距离传输, 采用传统的受激拉曼散射(SRS)阈值作为注入光纤激光功率值取值过大。本文对单模光纤远距离传输过程中泵浦光和拉曼斯托克斯光(Stokes)光功率随注入光纤激光功率的变化进行仿真与理论分析。根据光纤中SRS产生的机理, 提出以拉曼Stokes光在单模光纤中传输的光功率变化曲线曲率极大值点对应的注入激光功率为限值, 对注入单模光纤光功率限值随着光纤长度变化进行仿真, 通过曲线拟合得出注入单模光纤激光功率限值公式, 并搭建实验系统进行验证。结果表明, 提出的注入单模光纤激光功率限值适用于大功率激光远距离单模光纤传输。 相似文献

本文研究了描述掺铒光纤激光放大的速率方程解,分析了光纤中几种场分布和铒离子横向分布时的解析解,并进行了数值计算.得到了任意信号强度(包括大信号)时的增益以及影响信号增益的主要参数,利用532nm激光泵浦掺铒光纤,得到信号的最大增益为29.5dB. 相似文献

给出了单模输出的铒镱共掺双包层光纤激光器(EY-DCFL)的数值分析及最新实验结果.基于速率方程及功率传输方程,对单模EY-DCFL进行数值分析,从理论上对其性能进行优化.然后,在相同条件下进行了EY-DCFL的实验研究.描述了输出激光功率随入纤泵浦功率和光纤长度的变化以及输出激光波长随光纤长度的变化.在光纤长度为6.3 m时,获得了波长为1566 nm、最大功率为2.2 W 的单模激光输出,整体光-光转换效率22%,这是目前国内用该类光纤获得的最高单模输出功率. 相似文献

This paper describes the physics and properties of a novel optical fiber that would be attractive for building high‐power fiber lasers and amplifiers. Instead of propagating light in the fundamental, Gaussian‐shaped mode, we describe a fiber in which the signal is forced to travel in a single, desired higher order mode (HOM). This provides for several advantages over the conventional approach, ranging from significantly higher ability to scale mode areas (and hence laser powers) to managing dispersion for ultra‐short pulses – a capability that is practically nonexistent in conventional fibers. Particularly interesting is the fact that this approach challenges conventional wisdom, and demonstrates that for applications requiring meter‐length fibers (as in high‐power lasers), signal stability actually increases with mode order. Using this approach, we demonstrate mode areas exceeding 3200 μm2, and propagate signals with negligible mode distortions over up to 50‐meter lengths. We describe several pulse propagation experiments in which we test the nonlinear response of this fiber platform, ranging from managing dispersive effects in femtosecond pulse systems, to reducing Brillouin scattering impairments in systems operating with the nanosecond pulses. 相似文献

An all‐fiber laser generating a cylindrical vector beam is proposed and demonstrated using a home‐made ring‐core Yb‐doped fiber (RC‐YDF). In the RC‐YDF, not only annular doping but also ring‐type beam pump is realized. This is believed to be the first report describing the realization of annular doping and ring‐type beam pump in active fiber simultaneously, which can enhance the efficiency for high‐order mode oscillation. This laser operates in the high‐order mode stably with a slope efficiency of as high as 55.7%. Cylindrical vector modes can be obtained easily through adjusting the polarization controller. This work may have great potential for providing high‐efficiency and high‐power cylindrical vector beam and vortex beam sources. 相似文献

In this paper, a new theoretical model for Rayleigh backscattering (RB) analysis of fiber Raman amplifiers is proposed. The model includes all the interactions among the pumps, signals, and all orders of RB. The results show that the higher order RB has a negligible influence on the performance of the amplifier. The co-propagating and counterpropagating RB power of the signal grow quadratically with the net-gain of the amplifier. The signal to double Rayleigh backscattering noise ratio (OSNRDRB ) of backward-pumped FRAs is better than that of the forward-pumped ones at high net-gain level (> 13 dB), while at low net-gain level the OSNRDrb of the forward-pumped FRAs is slightly better than that of the backward-pumped ones. 相似文献

The first structure is a one-fiber-ring amplifier with an 8 × 8 fiber coupler and a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). The second fiber ring structure is a two-fiber-ring laser including an 8 × 8 fiber coupler, a 2 × 2 E/O modulator, and an SOA. The 14-output spectra of the fiber laser are measured. The gain coefficients of each port of the multiple-output-fiber-ring amplifiers are also measured. We apply these two kinds of fiber ring structures in a hybrid CATV and ADSL broadcasting optical fiber communication system. This application can develop a broadcasting system with large coverage area without using many laser diodes and optical amplifiers.
