We study the relation between the Kochen-Specker theorem (the KS theorem) and quantum computing. The KS theorem rules out a realistic theory of the KS type. We consider the realistic theory of the KS type that the results of measurements are either +1 or ?1. We discuss an inconsistency between the realistic theory of the KS type and the controllability of quantum computing. We have to give up the controllability if we accept the realistic theory of the KS type. We discuss an inconsistency between the realistic theory of the KS type and the observability of quantum computing. We discuss the inconsistency by using the double-slit experiment as the most basic experiment in quantum mechanics. This experiment can be for an easy detector to a Pauli observable. We cannot accept the realistic theory of the KS type to simulate the double-slit experiment in a significant specific case. The realistic theory of the KS type can not depicture quantum detector. In short, we have to give up both the observability and the controllability if we accept the realistic theory of the KS type. Therefore, the KS theorem is a precondition for quantum computing, i.e., the realistic theory of the KS type should be ruled out.  相似文献

In this paper, the Virial Theorem based on a class of quantum nonlinear harmonic oscillators is presented. This relationship has to do with parameter λ and ∂/∂λ,where the λ is a real number. When λ=0,the nonlinear harmonic oscillator naturally reduces to the usual quantum linear harmonic oscillator, and the Virial Theorem also reduces to the usual Virial Theorem.  相似文献

An orthomodular lattice (OML) with a conditional state can be used as a model for noncompatible events (a quantum system). In this paper we will study some properties of a conditional state and an s-map which are defined on an OML. We show conditions when a quantum system has the same properties as the classical probability space.  相似文献

We develop a synthesis of Turing's paradigm of computation and von Neumann's quantum logic to serve as a model for quantum computation with recursion, such that potentially non-terminating computation can take place, as in a quantum Turing machine. This model is based on the extension of von Neumann's quantum logic to partial states, defined here as sub-probability measures on the Hilbert space, equipped with the natural point-wise partial ordering. The sub-probability measures allow a certain probability for the non-termination of the computation. We then derive an extension of Gleason's theorem and show that, for Hilbert spaces of dimension greater than two, the partial order of sub-probability measures is order isomorphic with the collection of partial density operators, i.e. trace class positive operators with trace between zero and one, equipped with the usual partial ordering induced from positive operators. We show that the expected value of a bounded observable with respect to a partial state can be defined as a closed bounded interval, which extends the classical definition of expected value.  相似文献

In this paper,we attempt to give a sufficient condition of guaranteeing the validity of the proof of the quantum adiabatic theorem. The new sufficient condition can clearly remove the inconsistency and the counterexample of the quantum adiabatic theorem pointed out by Marzlin and Sanders.  相似文献

An Ergodic Theorem for the Quantum Relative Entropy   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
We prove the ergodic version of the quantum Steins lemma which was conjectured by Hiai and Petz. The result provides an operational and statistical interpretation of the quantum relative entropy as a statistical measure of distinguishability, and contains as a special case the quantum version of the Shannon-McMillan theorem for ergodic states. A version of the quantum relative Asymptotic Equipartition Property (AEP) is given.  相似文献

Unconditionally secure two-party bit commitment based solely on the principles of quantum mechanics (without exploiting special relativistic signalling constraints, or principles of general relativity or thermodynamics) has been shown to be impossible, but the claim is repeatedly challenged. The quantum bit commitment theorem is reviewed here and the central conceptual point, that an Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen attack or cheating strategy can always be applied, is clarified. The question of whether following such a cheating strategy can ever be disadvantageous to the cheater is considered and answered in the negative. There is, indeed, no loophole in the theorem.  相似文献

By a transfer principle, Pascal's Theorem is equivalent to a theorem about point pairs on the real line. It appears that Pascal's Theorem is equivalent to the vanishing of a common invariant of six quadratic forms. Using the q-deformed invariant theory of Leitenberger (J. Algebra 222 (1999), 82), we construct corresponding quantum invariants by a computer calculation.  相似文献

The usual no-cloning theorem implies that two quantum states are identical or orthogonal if we allow a cloning to be on the two quantum states. Here, we investigate a relation between the no-cloning theorem and the projective measurement theory that the results of measurements are either + 1 or − 1. We introduce the Kochen-Specker (KS) theorem with the projective measurement theory. We result in the fact that the two quantum states under consideration cannot be orthogonal if we avoid the KS contradiction. Thus the no-cloning theorem implies that the two quantum states underconsideration are identical in that case. It turns out that the KS theorem with the projective measurement theory says a new version of the no-cloning theorem. Next, we investigate a relation between the no-cloning theorem and the measurement theory based on the truth values that the results of measurements are either + 1 or 0. We return to the usual no-cloning theorem that the two quantum states are identical or orthogonal in the case.

A Quantum Version of Sanov's Theorem   总被引:3,自引:3,他引:0
We present a quantum version of Sanov's theorem focussing on a hypothesis testing aspect of the theorem: There exists a sequence of typical subspaces for a given set Ψ of stationary quantum product states asymptotically separating them from another fixed stationary product state. Analogously to the classical case, the separating rate on a logarithmic scale is equal to the infimum of the quantum relative entropy with respect to the quantum reference state over the set Ψ. While in the classical case the separating subsets can be chosen universally, in the sense that they depend only on the chosen set of i.i.d. processes, in the quantum case the choice of the separating subspaces depends additionally on the reference state.  相似文献

In this paper we establish the order topology type Antosik-Mikusinski infinite matrix convergence theorem in quantum logics. As application, we prove the Hahn-Schur summation theorem in quantum logics, too.  相似文献

We review the various assumptions under which abstract versions of the quantum mechanical virial theorem have been proved. We point out a relationship between the virial theorem for a pair of operators H, A and the regularity properties of the map . We give an example showing that the statement of the virial theorem in [CFKS] is incorrect. Received: 7 January 1999 / Accepted: 2 June 1999  相似文献

We consider the time evolution of N bosons in the mean field regime for factorized initial data. In the limit of large N, the many body evolution can be approximated by the non-linear Hartree equation. In this paper we are interested in the fluctuations around the Hartree dynamics. We choose k self-adjoint one-particle operators O 1,…,O k on $L^{2} ({\mathbb{R}}^{3})$ , and we average their action over the N-particles. We show that, for every fixed $t \in{\mathbb{R}}$ , expectations of products of functions of the averaged observables approach, as N→∞, expectations with respect to a complex Gaussian measure, whose covariance matrix can be expressed in terms of a Bogoliubov transformation describing the dynamics of quantum fluctuations around the mean field Hartree evolution. If the operators O 1,…,O k commute, the Gaussian measure is real and positive, and we recover a “classical” multivariate central limit theorem. All our results give explicit bounds on the rate of the convergence.  相似文献

We study the semiclassical time evolution of observables given by matrix valued pseudodifferential operators and construct a decomposition of the Hilbert space L2(d)n into a finite number of almost invariant subspaces. For a certain class of observables, that is preserved by the time evolution, we prove an Egorov theorem. We then associate with each almost invariant subspace of L2(d)n a classical system on a product phase space T*d×, where is a compact symplectic manifold on which the classical counterpart of the matrix degrees of freedom is represented. For the projections of eigenvectors of the quantum Hamiltonian to the almost invariant subspaces we finally prove quantum ergodicity to hold, if the associated classical systems are ergodic.  相似文献

We give a new method for proving the homomorphic property of a quantum stochastic flow satisfying a quantum stochastic differential equation with unbounded coefficients, under some further hypotheses. As an application, we prove a Trotter product formula for quantum stochastic flows and obtain quantum stochastic dilations of a class of quantum dynamical semigroups generalizing results of Goswami et al. (Inst H Poincare Probab Stat 41:505–522, 2005).  相似文献
